A/N: Mac goes home! Here is the next chapter in the same time frame as the last. Let me know what you guys think!

Lisa sat in the rocking chair in Mackenzie's hospital room watching Mac sleep. This had been the longest ten days of her life. "Hi Lisa." Mac's nurse says as she enters the room. "The doctors have decided today is the day."

"We're going home?" Lisa confirms.

"You are." The nurse smiles. "So, if you want to pack up while I get all of her discharge paperwork together."

"Sounds like a plan to me." Lisa says pulling out her phone to text Jessica before getting up from the recliner and making her way over to Mackenzie's crib. "Wake up sweetie." She strokes her head. "It's time to go home." Mac flutters her eyes open and reaches for Lisa. "Good morning sweetheart." Lisa says picking her up.

Lisa was had just finished getting Mac changed when Jessica walked into the hospital room. "Good morning."

Lisa picks Mackenzie up before turning to look at Jessica. "Hey Jess."

"How excited are you to be going home today?" Jessica asks.

"So happy." Lisa chuckles. "I'm so tired of seeing her in this hospital. I just want her to be happy, healthy and home."

"It has been a long ten days." Jessica agrees. "She's almost back to her old self."

Lisa nods in agreement. "I could hardly get her into bed last night, all she wanted to do was play."

"Good." Jessica says moving around the room to help Lisa pack.

"Okay. Is that everything." Lisa says looking around the room after her and Jessica had finished packing.

"I think we got it all." Jessica does one final sweep of the room. "You got all of the paperwork?"

"Yes." Lisa says patting her briefcase. She turns and picks Mackenzie up from the crib. "You ready to go home Kenzie?" Mac reaches out for her clapping. "I'll take that as a yes."

"Perfect." Jessica says.

The three walk out of the hospital room. They walk past the nurse's station. "Thank you guys so much for how great you have been to us." Lisa smiles. She bends her head down and whispers "Wave bye." To Mackenzie.

Lisa and Jessica got everything loaded into Lisa's SUV. "Do you want me to come to the house?"

"No." Lisa shakes her head. "I'm good for now. I'm hoping for a nice chill day, but I have a feeling I'm going to have to be back in ops late tonight or early tomorrow morning."

"I guess I'll rest up then." Jessica chuckles. "Just let me know if you two need anything."

"Thank you." Lisa says pulling Jessica into a hug.

"Any time Lisa."

Lisa gets out of her SUV and walks around to Mac's side of the SUV and opens the door. "Welcome home sweetheart." She picks her up out of her car seat and walks inside. "What should we do today, Kenzie?" Lisa walks into the living room. "Maybe we should watch a little TV and play with some blocks?" She sits Mac down on the floor in the living room and grabs remote control.

After a while of playing Mac crawls onto Lisa's lap and lays against her. "You tire yourself out sweetie?" Lisa asks while stroking her head. "Let's go put you in your crib." She stands up carries Mackenzie up to her bedroom and places her in her crib. "Have a good nap Kenzie. I'll just be in my office if you need me."

Lisa was sitting in her office hard at work when Sonny's name came up on her phone. "Hi handsome."

"Well, hello there beautiful." He smiles. "Hold the hell up." Sonny says taking in background when Lisa answers the video chat. "Did she get discharged?"

"She did." Lisa smiles. "And before you even ask, I knew how bad you got your ass kicked last night, I thought I should let you sleep."

"Ya could have woken me up to tell me this." Sonny tells her.

"I know." Lisa nods. "It also all happened so fast. Yesterday the doctor told me she was doing a lot better and should be discharged in the next couple of days. But this morning the nurse came in and told me she was being discharged."

"I guess I'll let it slide, this time." Sonny chuckles.

"Oh, gee. Thank you so much." Lisa laughs.

"Is she happy to be home?" Sonny asks.

"Yeah, she is." Lisa says looking at him and seeing him smile.

"Good. Y'all have an excitin day?" Sonny inquires.

"Nothing crazy, we spent a lot of time playing today and cuddling today. I put her down for a nap a little while ago and now I'm trying to catch up on some emails."

"Just a normal day?" Sonny says.

"Mmhm." Lisa mumbles. "With one very, very happy and relieved Mama."

"Every part of me still feels guilty that I wasn't there for all of this." Sonny says softly.

"I know you do. You have been great." Lisa shifts. "Now you just need to focus on coming back to us in one piece."

"Ya know damn well I am doin everythin in my power to do that." Sonny tells her.

"I'm sorry." Lisa shakes her head. "I know the pressure you put on yourself to come home safe to us. If this was a glimpse of what being a single mom would be like, I really don't know if I can do it."

Sonny pauses before answering. "Not that I intend on makin ya single mom, I do fully believe you can handle it."

"Thanks Sonny." Lisa offers a weak smile. "Do you want to see her?"

"I would love to. I promise I'll be quiet." Sonny chuckles.

"Okay." Lisa stands and walks towards Mackenzie's room. "Shhh." She whispers before opening the door.

Sonny nods. "God she's beautiful." He whispers.

"Yeah she is." Lisa says softly.

"I keep hearin your email notification goin off." Sonny states.

"Something is going on. I need to get back to my computer." Lisa tells him.

"Okay. Tell her I love her and give her a big hug from me when she wakes up." Sonny smiles.

Davis walks out of Mac room. "I will. And I love you. Stay safe."

"I love ya too. I will." Sonny returns before they hang up.
