Luz watched Grom shrink and tear the note in Amity's pocket in half. She went over to her friend, picking up the paper closer to the witch before she could. The human uncrumpled the paper and her eyes widened when she saw her name written on it. "Amity, is there something you wanted to ask me?" she asked, displaying her half of the note.
Amity looked away from the chocolate eyes. "N-no. Nothing." she replied.
Luz circled around to meet her friend's gaze. "Amity, whatever it is, I promise I won't be mad." she assured.
Amity couldn't resist the girl's pleading and sighed, showing her the other half of the note. "I...I was afraid you'd say no." she admitted.
"Luz, will you go to Grom with me? Amity" the human read aloud. "So the person Grom turned into was..." Amity nodded, face scarlet as she turned away again. "Amity," Luz said softly as she cupped her friend's cheek, forcing Amity to look at her while she was gay panicking. "Of course I'll go to Grom with you." she said with a smile.
Amity's eyes widened as her crush's words registered. A nervous smile crept onto her face as she covered Luz's with her own. That was when Grom made his reappearance, roaring. Both girls turned to see Grom approaching. "Well, with that out of the way, may I have this dance?" Amity asked, holding out a hand. Luz smiled, nodding as she took the offered hand.
She also made a mental note to talk to Amity after this. After all, even she knew you don't write a letter to ask a friend to a dance.
And done! I kinda binge watched the first season of Owl House and I just love Lumity. I can't wait to see the moment where Amity confesses or Luz catches on because seriously, the gay panic is too funny and I want to see it pay off.
