A/N: Hi, newbie writer here. I have a few Owl House stories that I've just been kinda writing off and on for a few months, and this is one of them. Just a ball of Lumity fluff, nothing much else. If I ever get around to finishing my other ones, I might post them. Anyways, you're probably getting tired of this wall of bold text. I bet you haven't even read this far, you're prolly already down in the story. Did you ever hear the tragedy of Darth Plagueis the Wise? I thought not. It's not a story the Jedi would tell you. Ok fr done now, enjoy the fluff.

Class today had been as dull as ever for Amity. Being the top student, she was handed practically everything, which made things too easy. So she relegated her time to studying in her secret room at the library, where she could hit the books hard, but also enjoy a Good Witch Azura book, or log what happened in the day.

Of course, the focus of her entries in her journal hadn't changed much today: Luz. Normally, she would write down how she waved at Luz, or Luz smiled at her, or how they joined forces to defeat Grometheus, saved the Boiling Isles and became Grom Queens. Y'know, normal stuff.

But today was different. Today, Luz was acting very strange. In a good way or a bad way, Amity wasn't sure. Luz had been glancing at Amity quite a bit, and her smiles had been... different. Like there was a different feeling behind them or something. In fact, when Luz came up to talk to her today, it was like nothing Amity had ever experienced. Almost as if Luz were... flirting with her.

Amity had stopped writing at this point, as her mind was awash with possibilities. What if Luz finally caught on that Amity had a crush on her? What if she'd developed feelings of her own? What if she was... just messing with her heart?

Amity shook off this last one and returned to her diary, which she noticed she had unconsciously drawn a ton of hearts on. She sighed dreamily, looking at Luz's name over and over. Luz had told her once about some... thing, that if you say it's name three times it'll appear. Beetle... soda? Regardless, Luz must've had a similar curse, because as soon as Amity read off Luz's name the third time, a voice could be heard at her door.

"Amity~" the voice said in a singsongy voice, "you in there~" Spooky. Amity would have to investigate this further. Also. WHY WAS LUZ HERE?

"J-just a second, Luz!" Amity scrambled to put her journal away, and make it seem like she was doing literally anything else. After putting together a somewhat believable scene, she stammered, "C-come in."

The door opened, and one Luz Noceda walked in, the object of her astronomically large crush. She looked around, as if this was her first time here, before locking eyes with Amity. She had that same look as before. It conveyed a sense of happiness, yes, but also knowing.

Oh no. She found out. My life is officially over.

"H-hi, L-Luz," Amity eventually formulated two words.

"Hey Amity," Luz smirked, "whatcha up to?"

Amity, trying to regain her composure, crossed her arms and looked away.

"I'm busy, Luz. This is the only quiet place I can do my Abomination homework," she harumphed and closed her eyes, but snuck a peek at Luz, who had walked over to her desk. It looked like she was holding something behind her back.

"So... you're doing Abomination homework... with an Oracle textbook?" Luz asked, but seemingly already knew the answer.

"I-its very complicated, you wouldn't understand." Amity was being as standofish as her heart allowed. What she really wanted to do was throw herself into Luz's arms, tell her the whole thing was a farce, and confess her love. Of course that would never happen.

"Kinda like this?" Luz brought her arms from around her back and held something up.

Amity, opened her eyes again, and paled. Her heart sank into her legs and doubled in speed. Fear, confusion, shock, dismay and alot of other emotions ran rapid in Amity. In Luz hands, she held the note from Grom night. But not the half that she had found originally, the half that Amity had picked up. The one that simply said 'Luz'.

Luz was staring at Amity with what she could only describe as hatred, disgust and a little bit of killing intent (though it was actually more like happiness, longing and a little bit of teasing). Amity could only blush and sputter at her soon-to-be assailant, as she could assume that Luz was here to put her out of her misery.

"L-L-L-Luz? W-where did you find that?"

"Right by the Grom tree," Luz said calmly, "I went up to get a picture of it, when I saw this," she waved the piece of paper in her hand.

"That-that-that isn't what it looks like," Amity babbled, hoping to come up with some sort of excuse, though being this close to Luz, as well as having her secret exposed, gave her a bit of poo brain.

"Really? 'Cause it looks to me like I was the one you wanted to invite to Grom." Luz had won, and she knew it. All that was left was to deal the killing blow.

"Y-yes, you were," Amity closed her eyes and hung her head in shame, "if you're here to kill me, just get it over with. Do what you must."

A malicious chuckle came from Luz, and Amity knew her time had come. Though it hadn't been a perfect life... no, actually, just that, it hadn't been perfect in the slightest. Amity squeezed her eyes shut, waiting for the cous de gras, and...

...it wasn't what she was expecting. It was sorta soft, and centralized to her lips. Had Luz poisoned her? Would she die a slow, excruciating death?

She opened her eyes, and saw Luz, giggling like a schoolgirl with a soft blush on her face.

"I would've loved to go to Grom with you, Amity," she said sweetly, "you should've just asked!"

Amity put her hands to her lips, trying to process what happened. Luz chuckled.

"Sorry, that might've been a bit forward," she rubbed her neck sheepishly, "maybe I should've kissed your cheek instead..."

So that's what happened. Luz kissed her. On the lips. Luz... just kissed her... on the lips.

'LUZ JUST KISSED ME ON THE LIPS!'

Though these were the thoughts in Amity's head at the moment, her vernacular did not represent that well. All she could mutter were singular words and animalistic noises.

Before she fainted, of course.
