We're going to have a bit of a time skip, mostly because the only thing that happens between the last chapter and this chapter is can really be summed up in a flashback.
"Alright, you're just meeting your friends. Nothing out of the ordinary." Luz said, "They don't know you're some sort of... immortal fire god."
Luz heard a knock on the door and she went to it.
"Okay, you can do this. Just don't bring up anything about the Phoenix." Luz opened the door and smiled, "Friends!"
"Luz!"
Willow and Gus hugged her.
"We haven't heard anything from you since the field trip! We were so worried!" Gus said.
"Guys, it was only three weeks. I'm fine."
"Luz, you can cause destruction in three minutes without supervision. I'm terrified of what you could do in three weeks." Willow said.
"Wow, you really are the mom of the group." Luz said, "So, what do you guys want to do today?"
"Well, we were supposed to meet Amity, but she hasn't shown up." Willow said, "I hope she's okay."
"I'm sure she's fine." Gus said, "She is the top student in the Abomination Track, she can handle herself."
"I guess you're right." Luz said.
They start walking towards the town.
"So, Luz, how have you been since we last saw you?" Willow asked.
Luz nearly stopped moving as she remembered her and Eda... "Training".
"Alright, Luz. You ready?"
"Rea-"
Luz was cut off when Eda used her staff and shot Luz with a spell that blew a hole through her head. Luz fell to the ground and died. Luz died, before sitting up. Her head healed and she groaned.
"Eda, I don't think I like this training." Luz said, "That's going to be the only time I die, right?"
"Absolutely not."
Luz spent the day getting stabbed, hit with magic, shot with arrows, blown up, that was a fun one.
"Wow, Kid, you made quite a mess." Eda said.
The massive bloodstain burst into flames and Luz was standing in its place, with her arms crossed, glaring at Eda. It took her four hours and nearly sixty deaths before she realized it. Eda was just fucking with her, she wasn't training her, she just wanted to see Luz's power. The one that Luz hated the most, was having a tree fall on her.
"Fine. It's been a boring." Luz said.
'Couldn't have at least taught me a little fire safety?' Luz thought.
"Well, why don't we go make your life less boring?" Gus said.
"Gus, I just noticed, have you gotten taller?"
"Witch Puberty." He said, "Now come on, let's go get smoothies."
The trio ran to the market, laughing all the way. At Blight Manor, Odalia pulled Amity's arm and tossed her into her room.
"Do you know what you just did?! You may have cost us a fortune!" Odalia said, "If you ever try a stunt like that again-"
Odalia saw a photo. The same photo that Amity saved from the Abomiton. Odalia glared at Amity.
"I'm going to talk to your father. We are not done with this conversation, young lady!"
Odalia stormed out of Amity's room and slammed the door. A plan already forming in her head.
"That Human, I can use her and get her out of the way at the same time." She said, "You'll regret hanging out with that weakling, Amity."
She smiled, knowing just what to do. On the other side of town, the trio were walking around, laughing.
"So, then. Instead of using a soft plant to catch Boscha, Willow used Cactus." Gus said.
"It was the only plant around." Willow said, "She hasn't messed with us since."
