Amity laid in bed, like she has for the past twelve hours. She kept repeating what she saw the previous night, in her mind, over and over again.

"I'm in love with a God." Amity said, "I am in LOVE with a GOD!"

She needed to talk to Luz. She got out of bed and got dressed. She walked down the stairs and was about to grab the handle when she heard her mom.

"Where are you going, young lady?"

Amity smiled. She had a little ammo now.

"I'm going to go see Luz. You know, the Phoenix? I'm sure she would love to hear about you've been acting since the Auction."

Odalia paled.

"O-o-okay. H-h-have fun."

Odalia quickly walked away. Amity walked out the door began to walk her way to the Owl House. At the Owl House, Luz was looking at Eda.

"Are you sure about this?" Luz asked.

"The book said this is one of your powers, so it will be fine." Eda said, "Just think of it as training."

Luz placed a hand on Eda's gem and let Phoenix out. She looked at Eda, who nodded. Luz closed her eyes and the red on her arms moved onto Eda's gem. There was a blast of magic and fire. Luz and Eda were sent to opposite sides of the room. Luz's fire hair went out, her hands went to normal, and her eyes went back to being brown. Luz started to get up and held her head.

"I think... we should've done this outside." Luz looked at Eda, "EDA!?"

Luz ran over and held Eda.

"Eda? Eda, speak to me!"

Eda started coughing and opened her eyes.

"We're never doing that again." Eda said.

Luz looked over Eda when she noticed something.

"It worked."

"What!?"

Eda got up and ran to the closest mirror. She saw her gem was yellow again, not black. She ran a hand over it, not believing it.

"I... I still feel the curse in me, but... it's a start." Eda pulled Luz into a hug, "Thanks Kid."

"You're welcome, Eda."

"Oh, Luz, you have a guest!" Hooty said, pressing against her face.

Luz lit her hands on fire.

"Hooty! No touching!"

Luz waved the fire off and walked to the door.

"Oh, Amity. What are you doing here?"

"Luz, you left pretty quickly after the Auction. I didn't really get a chance to talk to you." Amity said, "I was thinking we could go for a walk and talk."

"Oh, uh, I don't think I should leave, there is-"

"Kid, you should go out, you've done enough today." Eda said, pushing them to the door, "Go, be gay somewhere."

"I'm not gay, I'm bi. I told you this already." Luz said.

"Whatever."

Eda closed the door and Luz looked at Amity.

"So, I guess we're going for a walk."

The two start walking in silence. It was... awkward.

"Luz, say something."

"Something."

Amity had half a mind to hit Luz for that, but realized that hitting the fire god next to her, might not be a good idea. It didn't take long for Luz to speak up again.

"You want to ask about the whole... God thing, don't you?"

Amity just nodded her head.

"Yeah." Amity said, "Luz, you're meant to save the Isles from Titan's Wrath. That-"

"Is not something I wanted." Luz said.

"Luz, you are always bullied for being human, now you are the most powerful person on the Isles. You can-"

"Amity, repeat what you said earlier."

"What? About you stopping Titan's Wrath?" Amity asked, "You are supposed to save the world from ending."

"Do you know what it's like to have that pressure on your shoulders?" Luz asked, "I never asked to be some kind of God, I don't want to be this. I was fine being Luz the Human."

Amity realized, not all dreams are good. Luz wanted to be a chosen one, but now that she is, all the pressure is getting to her.

"Luz, you don't need to do this alone." Amity said, "I'm here for you. If this ever makes you feel stressed, come find me and we can do whatever you want. Even if you just need a hug."

"Thanks, Amity. You're a good friend."

"Yeah... friend."

And here we are, a main focus in the story. Luz doesn't want this power, or the pressure that comes with it. Nice little comfort moment, we'll get to the badass moments in the next chapter. Follow, Favorite, and Review for more.
