Luz was back at the Owl House, where Eda was giving her an earful.
"You realize that with your face plastered all over the news, that you have just become an even bigger target!"
"Eda, I can't be killed. Anyone that wants to try is more than welcome!"
"Kid, this is serious! Do you know what might happen to everyone you know?!"
Luz tried to hold her ground, but started to shake.
"What was I supposed to do Eda? I couldn't let it attack the students, it was after me, which means it was my job to stop it from hurting others." Luz said.
Eda watched as Luz's body language began to change.
"I never wanted this, Eda, but I have these powers. That makes it my job to keep people safe. If I fail at that, then that means I don't deserve to be the Phoenix." Luz said, feeling tears form, "What else can I do, Eda? I'm destine to save this entire place from some... Titan's Wrath thing, which is basically the apocalypse! If I just let everyone die in something, what am I saving this place from?!"
Eda looked at Luz and pulled her into a hug.
"I just don't want the Emperor to try any harder to take you down." Eda said, "You may be the one to save the Isles, but you saved me first. If it wasn't for you, I might've been captured by now."
Luz returned the hug and let her tears fall.
"I didn't mean to get discovered, but I was the only one that could beat it. It took Amity as well."
"I know you didn't mean too, but now you have to be extra cautious and I need to give you real training." Eda said, "The only reason your mom let you stay here was if I kept you safe. For now, just rest."
Eda made a spell circle and put a sleep spell on her. Eda picked her up and carried her up the stairs and placed her right into Eda's nest. She put a blanket over her and kissed her forehead.
"Sleep tight."
In another part of the Isles, Willow was doing her homework when the lights flickered. She went downstairs, trying to see if there was an animal attacking the power source... again. Her dads were on a date, so it was just her. The lights went off all the way and she felt something hit her neck. She pulled it out and saw a dart. Her vision got blurry and she passed out.
