![]() Author has written 2 stories for Pokémon, and Wings of Fire, Tui T. Sutherland. Man, I haven't been on here in years upon years. You hear that? YEARS UPON YEARS! (...Man, this intro is way less funny after I actually wrote a successful fic and then vanished off the face of the site. I'm really sorry about that, by the way.) A long time ago, there was a kid named Mark, who really liked Pokémon. Pokémon was, like, 70% of his life. And this kid had an idea for a Pokémon fanfic. Before he even got close to being done, though, life happened, and he was driven away from writing anything that wasn't an English paper for quite some time. Then his sister recommended Wings of Fire to him, and Mark loved it, and suddenly this kid (who really wasn't a kid anymore) got back into reading and writing and doing all the kinds of things parents want their kids to do instead of playing video games or watching T.V. That being said, I still play video games all the time. I'm no kid anymore, but that doesn't stop me from finding myself in fandoms officially aimed at kids. I'm still a Pokémon nerd, I already mentioned Wings of Fire, and then there's stuff like The Legend of Zelda, Drawn to Life, Harvest Moon, etc. Not to mention the fact that I've become much more open to Middle Grade books nowadays. That being said, it's not like I don't like more-adult driven stuff. Ace Combat stands next to the Pokémon: Mystery Dungeon series as my favorite video game series ever, and I have series like Temeraire next to series like The Hunger Games next to series like Silverwing on my bookshelf. All in all, I like a whole lot of random junk. Other stuff about me? Uh, well, I write semi-informally for the most part (you don't say), and whenever I really get into writing something, it always seems to either turn out Darker and Edgier, or the writing sacrifices logic and sense in order to get the good jokes in. Or both. I also have a weird love for semicolons and dashes and other deviant types of punctuation. I also have an insane pet peeve for having two capital letters in the same word. Yes, I'm aware it's MudWing, but that double capitalization just annoys me so much that I write it Mudwing. I like to do other stuff other than video games and books, too. I spend way too much time messing around with computers. I like pretty much any kind of music except for straight rap and really hard metal, from Linkin Park to Coldplay to Pendulum to Maroon 5 to Digitalism to the Strokes to My Bloody Valentine to Daft Punk to Train to Slowdive to U2 to whatever random, catchy pop song just came on the radio—although my favorite genre is easily Alternative. And, finally, I also like squids (hence the username). Also, my initials literally spell out M.L.G. So, uh, that's a thing. Anyway, stuff about my stories (read the following in a DRAMATIC VOICE): The Dragonets Aren't Coming - Wings of Fire: Currently in the re-writing process. Part 1 is gonna take a while; Part 2 should not take as long. Afterwards, we can finally get out of the rainforest and move on to Part 3. Rewrite Information: Alright. Work on Chapter 2 has been slow. Stuff's going on, emotions and commitments are spinning like a tornado, and (I'm gonna be honest here) the chapter is starting to give me the same feeling Chapter 0 did. Therefore (not conversely), I am going to get this chapter out by That all said, my update schedule is... nonexistent, really. Don't count on anything unless I give you a date, and even then, be wary (as you have seen if you frequent this page, which I kinda doubt anyone does). Pokémon Galaxia - Pokémon: Old story. I might get back to it one day; I had a lot of good ideas for it. For now, though, it's not getting updated. I also kinda want to do either a shipping series for Wings of Fire or something completely not-serious for Wings of Fire (not Truth or Dare; something else, like a parody of some sort, perhaps). The Dragonets Aren't Coming takes up most of my time nowadays, but I've got some ideas that might turn into something else one of these days. |
