Ch. 22
A month after the return from the battle. Lucy and Hermione were in the guild, reading massive amounts of books. While Levy was sitting across from the two. Whenever Hermione came up from her reading, to ask a question. Lucy and Levy were there to answer her.
During that month, Cobra would be out working on a few jobs with Freed, Bickslow, Evergreen and Laxus. Stating that he couldn't sit around, while she was taking a massive history lesson about their world. It didn't mean that Hermione hadn't gone out to do a job, either. No, whenever Lucy was pulled away with Natsu, no missed having his old partner. He would drag her along as well.
"You can't learn everything from a book," he had pointed out. Making her think of her best friends, Ron and Harry. Seeing that they had mix of their personalities in one person.
At the guild, it was a rare day, where Natsu was leaving them alone. Causing the three of them to look around the guild. It was when they realized that it was quiet, seeing that there was no one in the guild. Only them, Mira and the master of the guild.
"Where is everyone," asked Levy.
"Oh," gasped Mira in surprised. "Now that you mentioned it. I haven't heard a peep from anyone, since the morning breakfast rush."
Master had a big grin on his face. "I imagine not," taking a big sip from his bear.
"What do you know," asked Lucy, as she walked over to him. Placing her figs on her hips.
He shrugged his shoulders. "I know nothing…"
It was then at that moment that Natsu came rushing into the guild, just as Cobra came running in. "I'M GOING TO KILL YOU, YOU FIRE ASS!"
Natsu had stopped in front of Lucy. But Cobra came and knocked him down with a massive punch over his head. "No talking for you!"
Hermione had gotten up from where she sat, running towards him. "Erik, what's going on?!"
He turned to her, with his cheeks glowing a nice red color. Which she didn't know if was from him running after Natsu or something else. "I have a surprise for you, My Heart."
Ever since the world wasn't at ending anymore. Cobra had tried many nicknames for Hermione. Only to find that she hated Darling, enough to cause an electric shock through his system to learn. Only to have, My Heart to stick.
Hermione huffed, "You don't have to get me anything," she glared at him.
"I know, but I wanted to do this for you." His lips pulled back into a smirk. "Now close your eyes." Hermione glared at him, but did as she was told. Just as she felt him picking her up in his arms.
Only to hear Natsu waking up to do the same for Lucy. Then they were carried out of the guild. After sometime later. Hermione could tell that they were in the woods, before Cobra had placed on her feet again.
"Alright, open your eyes." After a moment, she did. Only to gasped out in surprised.
"Oh," she just couldn't believe her eyes. Cobra and her had talked about getting a house. Even going as far as for him to write down the things that would love to have. But seeing her dream home before her, was enough to cause tears in her eyes.
Lucy giggled, "Glad to see the place built."
Hermione turned to her with a glare. "You knew!"
"Yep," Lucy nodded. "Freed made the blueprints of the house. While the guild had gotten together and built the place."
"With what funds," gasped Hermione in disbelief.
Cobra chuckled, "From all the funds from the jobs I had gone on."
"But," gasped Hermione. Tears leaking out of her eyes. "I wanted to help…"
Lucy nodded, "I told him that you wanted to. But he didn't want to hear it. Saying he wanted to use the funds that you guys had for the wedding…"
"Wedding," asked Hermione, turning towards Cobra with a smile. "What wedding?"
"Nice going Stars, now she has time to run from me," he growled at Lucy. He turned to Hermione with what she could see was fear in his eyes. "I…" He moved around Hermione and kneels before her. "I wanted to say many things...but I can't even do that… Marry me?"
Hermione fell to her knees, wrapping her arms around him, crying. "Yes," she cried out in more happy tears than she had ever imagined doing that day. "YES!"
He pulled away from her, only to pulled her towards his lips. Where they were lost in a heated bliss. As many of their friends shouted in glee around them.
"I'm the best man," shouted Gajeel. Causing many to laugh, while Bickslow grumbled, "I wanted to be best man."
Lucy wrapped her arms around the two. Causing them to pull apart from their kiss. Only to cause them to laugh and smile. "I know, I'm the maid of honor," she squealed out.
Hermione laughed, shaking her head. "Who else would I have asked."
After two weeks of their freshly built home. Hermione and Cobra became Mr. and Mrs. Cobra of Fairy Tail. Saying that life was too short to wait any longer. They were in the middle of the guild, dancing to a slow song.
Hermione in a white dress, with silver magical edgings of her school's founding animals. Lucy's spirit, Virgo, had made it for her. Making the wedding that much special. While Cobra wore white dress shirt and slacks, with silver dress vest. The two holding on to one another, allowing the soft tones of the music wash over them.
Cobra kissed the crown of her forehead. "Mrs. Hermione Cobra, I love the sound of that."
She smiled, "I don't know, maybe we should go with Mr. Erik Cobra Granger." Her lips pulled back, seeing the surprised look in his eyes.
"I don't know, My Heart. But aren't husband supposed to give the wife their names?"
Hermione shrugged her shoulders. "I'm just saying, no matter the name. We are together, Erik."
He growled deeply, nearly sounding like a purr. "Damn straight, we do…"
Just as the song had stopped. Lucy came rushing to them. Only to pull Hermione away from Cobra. Who they had found, was the only person to be around her. Since the two were cousins and all. Cobra had known that was important for the two of them.
Lucy had led Hermione to the back of the guild. Knowing it was far enough away from anyone to hear. Even the dragon slayers couldn't hear her. "I have news to share with you, Hermione, and you're the first person to tell."
Hermione gave her a worried look. "What is it, Lucy?"
"I'm three weeks pregnant," she whispered out. "I want you to be the godmother."
Hermione gasped, surprised to hear her cousin. But gave her a gentle hug. "Why haven't you told Freed," she hissed out softly.
Lucy shrugged her shoulders. "I know that you have left a lot of things behind, even small moments like this with your friends. I just want you to be a part of my small moments, too."
Hermione smiled, crying and hugging her loving cousin. "I know that I wasn't happy about me being here. Or how I've come to be here. But I thank you," tears came out of her eyes some more. "Without you, I wouldn't be married to Erik."
Lucy cried in return. "I know I've said sorry. But I'm happy that you've found some happiness here…"
It was then that Freed and Cobra had found them. "What is with all the tears," asked Cobra. Looking at the two of them. After the war with the Death Eaters. Hermione and Lucy had found away to block him from reading their souls. It became both a blessing for him and a nuisance, when he didn't like secrets.
Lucy turned to Freed with happy tears. "We're going to be parents…"
"Wha…" He then turned and hugged her. Crying in return. "I can't be any more happy…"
Cobra then turned to Hermione with a slight fear in his eyes. "Then why are you crying?"
"I asked her to be the godmother," stated Lucy with a smile towards him. "I also want you to be the godfather."
Causing Cobra to grumbled, "If that is all that's going on." He pulled his vest down, showing that he was thinking about the offer. "Then I'm honored to be the godfather…"
Lucy pulled away from Freed, only to hug Hermione and Cobra. "Thank you!"
Nine months down the road. Lucy and Hermione were in hospital beds next to each other. The doctors had tried to get them in different rooms. But Lucy, being Lucy, had thrown the worst pregnant mother fit in history. Making the doctors and nursing to do what they needed to do to make Lucy happy. Seeing that their babies were going to be born at the same time.
Hermione had found herself pregnant as soon as she had gotten back from her honeymoon. Finding out that their first night together as husband and wife, had gotten her pregnant. Which with Cobra being a dragon slayer, it caused a high chance for them to have children.
Cobra was sitting behind Hermione, hoping to making her comfortable. Rubbing her back. While Freed was trying to do the same thing for Lucy. The two men felt uncomfortable with each of them in the room together. But knew that they needed to make their wives happy. Neither of them knew what kind of child they were having. Each wanting to be surprised.
"What child are you hoping for," hissed out Lucy, feeling a surge of pain.
"A healthy child," hissed out Hermione from her own pain.
"But if you had a choice," growled out Lucy in another pain.
Freed huffed as softly as he could. "Does it really matter, we're going to be parents no matter what."
"I want a daughter," stated Cobra softly. Causing Hermione to look over her shoulder to him. "I want her to be like her mother. Beautiful, smart and taking down anyone that harms her…"
Hermione couldn't help but letting out a laugh. "That does sound like me…" Shaking her head. "But, wouldn't you want to take anyone down who harms her?"
He smirked darkly, "After she's done with them…"
Lucy whimpered softly. "I want a son," tears leaking out of her eyes. "I want to break the long line of nothing but girls, on my mom's side of the family…"
After a couple of more hours of waiting for the children to be born. Only to find that each of them were having twins. Each having a boy and girl, each. Hermione had whisked out her keys. Bringing out Sirius, Remus, Lily and James. Each one of them wanting to fight for holding the children.
While Lily did the same with all of her spirits. Which they were all fighting to do the same.
"What are their names," Lily turned to Hermione with tears in her eyes.
Hermione turned to Cobra with a few rushing thoughts towards him. He smiled at her for a moment. Glancing down at the boy, "Harry Charles Cobra," he placed the boy in James and Lily's arms. Seeing the two had cried at the boy's name.
Harry Charles had dark brown hair and purple eyes. While James happy, after hearing his son's name. While Lily cried, after hearing her father's name as the middle name.
Hermione turned to Remus and Sirius, placing her daughter in their arms. Only for Cobra to say, "Stella Ruby Cobra." Causing the two to look at him in surprise.
"Stella," asked Sirius in surprise. "That was the name I wanted for a daughter…"
"Ruby," gasped Remus. "The name for if I had one…back when Dora was having a baby." The two falling in love with her maroon hair and gold-brown eyes.
Loke looked at Lucy with a small smile. "What about yours, princess?"
Freed looked at Lucy with a heart-warming-smile. "Justice Jude Justine," he placed the child in Virgo's arms. Showcasing blonde hair and green eyes.
Then Lucy place her daughter in Loke's. "Lyra Layla Justine," she smiled. Minty green hair and brown eyes. "Perfect," Loke purred over the girl.
Making her music spirit to jump up in glee. "I have a baby named after me!"
Each of the families were happy about the birth of their children. Each not wanting or wishing for a different life. Each, one of them, couldn't be happier than they were.
A crash had sounded, before the door had opened into the room. "Hay Luce!"
Freed turned to Cobra. "You reading me?"
"Loud and clear…"
The two had rushed towards Natsu. Runed and softly poisoned him, to where he wasn't going to die. But sleep for the next couple of weeks. Then shoved him out of the room.
Lucy wasn't worried. She knew that Freed wouldn't kill a fellow guild mate. She also knew that after Cobra's marriage with Hermione, he no longer wanted to kill anyone. But there were a few times that Natsu had tried getting him to do it. Only to see how far he can go. Only to find that he would find himself asleep for a couple of weeks at a time.
Lucy and Hermione had gotten a kiss from their husbands. Leaning back and enjoying their children. Surrounded by those they call family. There was nothing more than they wanted.
