When they were walking side by side, people began to stare at them. Yu was significantly taller than Ayane, but that was only half the reason. Compared to the dashing, handsome look of the city boy, Ayane looked like a countryside girl. Seeing the two together just didn't seem real until it happened.

Yu was feeling like he had won a million bucks today. The feeling of triumph welled inside him like a mountain about to erupt. His gaze turned all over the place, before he settled on Ayane's face.

Ayane noticed, and locked back with her gaze at him. It felt special, truly unparalled. The way they stared deep inside each other's eyes did not made doubts linger. The onlookers felt that too, as their passionate gaze warmth their faces a bit, both young or old.

It constantly happened, even after they arrived at Junes. Yu kept count of everyone who sneaked a glance at them. His eyes were daggers to theirs this time, and the onlookers finally left them in peace.

Free from prying eyes, they traversed the grocery before moving to the daily needs. Each aisles they bought something from them, which ended with their cart full to the brim with everything. It was not a problem for Yu and his infinite money in his pocket, but it was still an exercise in excessive impulse buy.

"We sure bought a lot," Ayane listed. "Are you sure the fridge is big enough for all these?"

"If it's too much, you can take some home with you."

"No way, Yu." Ayane shook her head. "That'd be spoiling me a bit too much."

Yu couldn't help but wanting to scream in happiness right now. She deserved to be spoiled, like a good girlfriend should be. But maybe if he came onto her too hard, she would be too reserved in the future. So for now, Yu relented, took a deep breath, and made sure he had it in him to refuse becoming a love monkey.

It was all for their continuous happiness together.

With all their shopping spree totalling in a sum of quite expensive, Yu picked up most of their shopping bags. It was just enough for Ayane to hold a few that was light enough to carry.

Still, even then, Ayane grasped the hand that seemed to be the most used by Yu. In his heart, under a sudden skin contact, Yu's body was about to leap into the sky. Now they were holding hands by proxy, carrying the same shopping bags together.

Then, as if she was going for the kill, Ayane sheepishly initiated.

"Would this be okay?" Said the assassin toward Yu's aching heart. Her face was beet red, clearly mustering all she had despite the embarassment. "This feels like we're holding hands."

Her laugh finally did Yu in. His heart was about to burst, and his mind went blank for a hot minute. Without any words that could escape his parched throat, he nodded as they returned home.
