Every parent has to deal with it, their child leaving, but for Belos, it's extra hard to say goodbye. He can't bear to see his family leave again.
Boscha put her last bag outside her room.
"That's it, I'm all packed." She said
Luz and Boscha hugged.
"you'll call right?" Luz asked.
"Luz, you make it sound like I'm never coming back."
"You didn't answer the question." Luz said, "I'm going to miss you."
"I'm going to miss you too." Boscha said, "I'll be back before you know it."
"I'm holding you to that." Luz said.
"Here." Boscha held her hand out, "Princess Promise."
Luz grabbed Boscha's hand.
"Do you, Boscha Belos, promise to come back to the castle one day?"
"I, Boscha Belos, promise to return. Do you, Luz Belos, promise to come visit me?"
"I, Luz Belos, promise to visit you whenever I have the chance." Luz said, "Espero que tú y Willow estén contentos."
"Lo seremos. Espero que no me olvides cuando seas el gran emperador malo." Boscha said, "I guess it's time to talk to dad."
Luz and Boscha walked to the throne room and Emperor Belos. Belos walked over to Boscha and placed a hand on her shoulder.
"Do you really have to leave?" He asked.
"Dad, I'm nineteen, I'm engaged." Boscha said, "I'm not a little princess anymore."
"No, you'll always be my little princess." He hugged her, "I'll miss you."
"I'll miss you too, Dad." Boscha said, "You and Luz welcomed me with open arms. I couldn't ask for a better family."
Boscha tried to go, but Belos wouldn't let go.
"You guys make it sound like I'm never coming back, I'm the leader of the Emperor's Coven. I will come back."
"Some days it will feel like you aren't coming back." Belos said, "My life has been full of sadness, I was kicked out, I rarely get to see my sister, my brother tried to kill my wife, Camila left and took Luz with her, Camila was killed by a terrorist, and then I almost lost Luz... multiple times."
"I'm not just a danger magnet... anymore." Luz said.
"You and Luz are all I have, it hurts to see you go." He said, "Stay safe."
"I will."
Boscha went and packed her stuff into the carriage. It took off and she looked back at the castle, giving one last wave to her sister and father. When she was out of their sight, she wiped away tears. Belos took off his mask and wiped tears away. Luz hugged him.
"It's okay dad, she'll be back for my birthday in three weeks." Luz said.
"Where has the time gone? In a few short weeks you'll be twenty and take the throne." He said, "What happened to the baby I held in my arms?"
"She's still here, she's just grown up." Luz said.
"Your mother would be proud of you, just like I am."
