PS. Chapter Word Count: 1015
PSS. First time writing solely for The Owl House. This is my favorite show, but I struggle writing for it. I also don't know if this has been done so…
PSSS. This is really, REALLY short but I felt like I needed something to put myself out into this fandom. I have five other fics that I'm trying to write, but this fandom is hard to write for.
PSSSS. Please enjoy!
It took a while to convince her. Like, two months. Even directly after Luz made it into Hexside, Amity refused to start the club. Once they started dating though, it became much easier to convince Amity (and Willow, Gus, and King who Luz gotten into the series a couple weeks prior) to start an (un)official Good Witch Azura club!
The first meeting was scheduled a couple days after the whole Vee and the new door fiasco as a way to get Luz's mind off, well, everything. Thus, getting a break for the first time in what felt like years, Luz announced, "Welcome everybody to the Good Witch Azura club, or, G.W.A.C. for short."
As the three witches at the round, living room table voiced their thanks, King shouted, "I'm here for the snacks!" And grabbed one of the cookies in the center.
"Good to know," Amity agreed, grabbing one and taking a bite as Willow, Gus, and Luz giggled.
The leader then stood there for a second, pondering for a second before finally asking, "So, what are we supposed to do in a G.W.A.C.?"
"Why are you asking us?" Her girlfriend asked.
At the same time as Willow muttered, "I dunno."
The illusionist though for a moment before summoning animated illusions of the four main characters: Azura the protagonist, Mazzie the old hag, Floofy the demon creature, and Hecate the main antagonist. "We could do roleplays?" He suggested.
Luz squealed in delight at the idea while the other three looked puzzled. "What's roleplays?" The demon asked.
"Oh my gosh! It's basically where you pretend to be the characters from Good Witch Azura! I taught it to Gus a couple months ago and he's a natural," Luz explained.
Said boy beamed at the praise as the blue haired girl realized, "Oh! You mean acting? I can write us up a script."
"I call the villain role!" King called, shoving another cookie in his… mouth?
"Actually guys, and correct me if I'm wrong Luz," The male witch began. "But I think roleplaying is acting without a script. Right Luz?"
As Luz nodded in assurance, the abomination-ist asked, "But then, how do we know what to do?"
"You don't! You choose your own choices in the heat of the moment," The human explained.
"So, if I wanted to take over half the world, I could make that choice while roleplaying?" King prompted.
"Eer- I guess?" Gus decided.
"Then, yeah! Let's roleplay! I'll go get my weapons," The youngest ran off and Luz sighed deciding this was the best she could explain it to her friends/family.
Amity, still confused, asked, "So, we can just be anyone? And do anything?"
"Virtually, yes. It's an imagination thing. You are playing a role other than your own."
"Oh, I get it. Everything's pretend and we can be different characters?" Willow figured.
The leader sighed in relief and assured, "That's right!"
"Wait, so it's all pretend?" King whined, dropping the spiked club that he for some reason owned.
As the two formerly familiar with roleplay nodded, the rich one asked, "So I can play the role of Azura? Or do I have to addition or something?"
"Just play the role," Gus assured.
At that moment, a little bummed she couldn't play the main protagonist, Luz called, "I call Mazzie! And King could be Floofy since they're both adorable demons."
Thinking for a moment, the demon agreed, "That, young mortal, shall suit me well."
"Can I be Maria? You know, 'cause we both do plant magic? Also, she's my favorite.
"Of course! And I, Augustus "Gus" Porter shall play the difficult role of Barak, the most complex supporting character in the any book I am yet to read," The boy dramatized, choosing the last of the roles.
Luz squealed in excitement as she exclaimed, "Alrighty, let's start!"
"Wait though," Amity interjected. "What do we do?"
"Just pretend you are your character, in your case Azura, and play the role. Roleplay!" The human explained once more.
"Umm…"
"Here," Gus offered. "I'll start. Me and Luz did, like, an hour long roleplay so I'm basically a professional.
Said girl chuckled as Willow asked, "Alright, seriously. When did this happen?"
Suddenly, the human enthusiast aimed an imaginary staff at Amity and declared, "Azura, do you think you have what it takes to defeat… er… Maria? Who's evil now?"
Amity glanced at her girlfriend who nudged her on before responding, "Of course I do Gu- Barak! For I am Good Witch Azura!"
The little demon seemed to get the point as he ran over the Amity and demanded, "Now Azura, you must not forget me, Floofy, Your trusty demonic companion! And the unofficial King!
"Or me, Mazzie! Your mentor," Luz followed up.
Willow, the last to catch on, tried, "Oh, but you guys can't defeat me because- I- um- have a secret weapon!"
"But young warrior, we need not some fancy shmancy over the top weapon, but the weapon we already have!" The human called. "It's what's in our hea-"
"It's our staffs!" The cotton candy haired witch interrupted, pointing her imaginary staff at Willow.
"And their awesome demon!" King agreed, all playing the parts of their characters.

"Nope! Nope, nope, nope, nope!" Eda shouted as she forced the G.W.A.C. out of the house. "I refuse to let you kids celebrate that horrible story in my living room."
As the other four groaned, Luz asked, "Aww, but Eda-"
"No buts! You wanna patronize that crap, find somewhere else." With that, Eda The Owl Lady was inside. It didn't matter how much those four (and King) had grown on her, Good Witch Azura was where she drew the line. Not after what- she did.
Luz swerve around to face her friends and adopted demon brother. "Sorry guys, I don't know why Eda hates Good Witch Azura so much…"
"It's fine," Willow assured. "We can do it at my place next time."
"Yeah, that was less boring than I figured it would be," King complemented.
And thus, it began.
PS. Please review. I'm obsessed. And, hey, my obsession can either be that or flashlights so chooses my fate.
PSS. I might continue this when we learn what Azura's whole deal is. I personally think she was a real witch who had some connection with Eda but I need to wait and see…
PSSS. I really hope everybody was in character! Please help me...
