It was a big night for Hexside School for Witches and Demons. There were many fine acts who already had performed. Gus had a spectacular double illusion act, Willow made a tree grow from a small plant pot, amity used her magic to summon her abominations to make the stage sparkly clean, plus many other amazing performances from other students. But Boscha, the triclop witchling, who was dressed in a girl's tuxedo, had planned a great act to close out the show. However, she was nervous about doing this, because this was also a secret surprise for her girlfriend willow...
Boscha: (stressed out) I don't think I can do this! Maybe I should have just done a potion spell, or showed a special grudgby play instead.
Amity: You'll be fine, Boscha. we've been practicing this song all week.
Skara: Yeah, you have that piano tune down flat.
Luz: Willow will love the song you play for her.
Boscha: I've been meaning to ask you, Luz. How did you manage to find that great song?
Luz: Well, Gus brought this CD, or compact disc as we humans call it, to his Human Appreciation Society club. I ask him if I could borrow it, and after he said yes, I took it with me to the Owl House, and played it on one of Eda's old stereos. It was one of the best songs I wound up listening it. Anyway, I suggested this to you as I know this would be a good song to play for Willow.
Boscha: (shakes her head in amusement) Luz, you're gonna get me big trouble one of these days.
At that moment, Principal Bump walked out on stage to speak to the audience. Among those sitting in the audience were Eda, Lilith, their mother Gwendolyn, and King.
Bump: And now, our final act, our star player of the Hexside Banshees grudgby team, Boscha!
There was a huge applause as Boscha stepped out from the stage. She then spoke to the audience about what she was going to do...
Boscha: (nervously) Good evening, everyone. I'm going to perform a great song on piano. However, I'm not going to do this song by myself. I brought some friends of mine out there to perform the song with me. Come on out, girls!
Amity, Luz, and Skara walked on onto the stage. Skara got out her harp, luz took the position on the drums, Boscha went over to the piano, and Amity stood out front, to address the crowd...
Amity: I'm going to be the one to sing the song. But we've practiced this song with Boscha, because she wanted to play this on the piano for her girlfriend, Willow Park.
Willow, who was watching the show with the crowd, was flattered that Boscha would play a special song for her...
Boscha: Alright, everyone, let's take it away! 1, 2, 3, 4...
The tune of 'Hold Me Now' by The Thompson Twins is played by Boscha and her friends. Amity sang it in a gentle tone, while Boscha played it perfectly on the piano, Skara matched the tone by strumming the strings on her harp, and Luz played her heart out on the drums. After they finished the song, everyone in the audience erupted with cheers. Boscha was stunned at first...
Boscha: Wow. (happily) We were brilliant!
But no one was more excited that Willow, who ran up on the stage to hug her girlfriend...
Willow: Boscha! That was lovely!
Boscha: (shows a small smile) Willow, you really liked it?!
Willow: Liked it? I loved it!
Willow gave Boscha a small kiss on the cheek. Bump then came out to announce the winner of this talent show...
Bump: I think we can all agree, by the audience reaction, that the winners are Boscha and her backup band!
The audience continued to cheer, with Luz, Amity, and Skara watching the couple happily. Boscha gave Willow a hug, as well as a kiss on her cheek...
Willow: I love you, Boscha.
Boscha: I love you, too, Willow.
The talent show had been a great experience for this couple.
