New Worlds

AvalonReeseFanFics

A/N: Well hello my wonderful readers, so this is it. It's the finally chapter. After this we're going to be getting a new story, Two Worlds but from Una's P.O.V. I'm still writing it, so it might take me a while to debut it. I'm thinking some time in December or in 2022, depending on how long it takes for me to get into writing it. I'm still suffering from writer's block, but I'm doing my best to muscle through it.

I wanna say thank you to everyone who read this story, who went on this wild ride with me. Thank you for ever review, every fav, every follow! Thank you for dealing with the late updates, the wrong updates, and the lack of updates. I really appreciate each and every one of you. Hopefully I see you guys on the last installment of this series, Her World, which, again, I will be trying to publish sometimes in December or in January!

Chapter 21 – Epilogue

Una was having a day to herself.

She had been dealing with a lot with her pack at the start of this mating season.

For starters, she liked to be away from the nest when they were doing their mating rituals. She always got… embarrassed when it went on, she wasn't sure why. She just felt like she shouldn't be watching. But mostly it was because of all the suddenly new expectations that were being put on her.

Rhum had been in high demand that mating season, in fact, she was almost certain that he had mated with almost all the females, except her mother who was still wasn't ready to have a new clutch. She kept saying Una was enough for her, but Una wouldn't have minded if her mummy had a new clutch. She wouldn't be jealous at all.

She also wasn't really looking forward to several clutches all being tiny versions of Rhum, even if they would eventually grow to be as big as Rhum, thus making Rela's pack larger and stronger than the others. Them being little versions of Rhum just meant that they were going to be just as annoying.

No, most of the problems were revolving around the actual mating season. And not in a way that Una had expected.

Rhum had mentioned to her, before he started mating with all the other females in the pack, that he really only had an interest in her, but Una didn't want to mate with anyone. And she was pretty sure that she couldn't have hatchlings anyway.

Bipeds and raptors were too different to mate.

He said he wouldn't care, he didn't need to have hatchlings and they didn't even need to actually go about mating. He just wanted to be considered her mate. But she wasn't interested. She wanted a biped to mate with, though she didn't know much about it or it worked, she just knew she didn't want a raptor.

Her mother, however, thought it would be a great idea to have a raptor mate and she sort of hoped that she could change her mind. They could adopt a clutch, like her mom had adopted her.

But still, Una wasn't interested.

She was spending more time away, especially since her mother was getting pushy about her hatchling picking a mate. She just wanted to see her safe and secure in her future, but Una didn't want to worry about that at that moment.

So she was off on her own that day, moving through the bushes, chittering at the monkeys as she walked by. They liked to scream at her now, because they didn't trust her and her raptor smell. Sometimes they'd attack her as she climbed through the trees, so when she was in heavy monkey populated areas she walked.

Her mom hadn't liked that though, she wanted Una to be safe. Attack those monkeys back, show them whose boss.

But Una didn't want to do that either. How would they learn to trust her if she was always lashing out?

She was walking calmly, not causing a single shred of problem when there was a sudden shriek from all the monkeys above her.

They were screaming about something but she didn't know what.

"What are you freaking out about?" she cried up to them. "I haven't done anything!"

But they were all running, swinging through the trees away from something. The birds were up in a tizzy too.

Something was happening. She just didn't know what.

So she climbed up into the trees, assuming a predator was coming. She climbed high up into the canopy and that was when she saw it.

A flash of red and white through the trees, gliding softly and soundlessly. Well almost… cause she could hear shouts.

Shouts that sounded an awful lot like her.

Something new had just landed on the island. Una didn't know it yet, as she scampered through the thick canopy to track its red and white movements, but it was going to change her life.

xx The End… for now.
