Five months after the last transmission was sent to the Elves we received a response. They deliberated if they want to move with us all this time. Their response was positive, they will relocate on mass to our new reality.
In preparation for the mass exodus of Elves, Sirius and I relocated the Reality portal to a large grass area in order to make space for all the Elves.
In the message they send me they explained that every Elf decided to go through Bio-bed treatment in order to get rid of any disease or pathogen they were exposed to overtime. That was smart of them.
They packed everything magical they could find in hundreds of trunks expanded to maximum capacity. Magical beasts of every type (ten male and ten female) were also subjected to bio-bed treatment just in case. They picked the most healthy and docile among the species.
When I said that if they could bring Hogwarts with them I was mostly joking, but as it turns out they managed not only to pack the entirety of Hogwarts but other schools of magic, Ilvermorny from North America, Beauxbatons from France, Mahoutokoro from Japan, Koldovstoretz from Russia, Durmstrang from Europe. The process of moving schools was recorded in one of the tomes in The Vault. Forty-nine magicals would surround the building, one would hold a glass orb inscribed with holding runes. Once in position, they would start the chant. Over one hour the building would start to become transparent and at the same time in orb, the building would start to appear.
The schools weren't the only building they packed in the same manner. They packed their houses alongside all the greenhouses.
One final bit of news, they decided to remove the temptation of ever going back, so upon the last Elf going through the portal, he would activate an explosive device that would destroy the frame of the portal. That way no one could come back and no one can go through the portal.
oooOOOooo
Those five months weren't spent doing nothing. Sirius and I made a structure surrounding the Stargate. It is a large building with plenty of windows for natural light. The floor is made out of stone blocks on which we inscribed indestructible runes, same as the walls. We painted the walls to look like a living forest with moving leaves and branches. Sometimes you could see an animal running through the foliage. The roof is enchanted similar to the great hall in Hogwarts. There are rooms all over the building, some would serve as a sleeping room, some as a conference area. We dug deep underground and created even more rooms. But those rooms would serve as a prison cell, just in case we got some uninvited guests. The entire building is warded to the guilds, the ward stone is connected to a lay-line for some extra power.
The dialing device is moved to the observation area on the second floor of the building. This area will have all kinds of monitoring equipment once we start tinkering with technology. For now, it has our form of monitoring what is happening – similar to a mirror-drone, every corner of the building could be monitored through the 3D map on a large conference table. This map could also be connected to a new spy drone created for, you guessed it, spying, mainly spying through the gate.
One of the laptops, heavily protected from any type of tampering is directly connected to a dialing device for an easily accessible list of stargate addresses. It is also connected to a gate, a 3D map would activate upon receiving a subspace ping from other gates and you could see the origin of the dial and the path the wormhole is traveling. This was tested with several off-world dialing. I would go thru the gate on another planet and Sirius would monitor the path. Then we would switch and I would be the one monitoring the wormhole travel.
The knowledge shrine we disassembled to its base parts and reassembled in one of the rooms inside the building. We preserved the writing on the walls and moved it inside the building in one of the expanded rooms in order to preserve the culture just in case one of the species visits.
oooOOOooo
Upon review of the stargate addresses, and available data collected from the shrine and the scan of the network, 2,895 gates haven't been accessed for more than ten thousand years, some even more.
We decided to dial them one by one, from the gate that was lastly accessed fifteen thousand years ago, initiate a deep scan of the planet and the solar system, and send several spying drones through the gate if there is any form of sentient life present on the planet.
With every new planet scanned, we deduced that long ago someone populated the galaxy with base humans. On several planets some humanoids have developed some different characteristics, for example, on one planet instead of ears on the side of the head, they developed ears similar to those of the cats. This culture is primitive, even more, primitive than Neandertals from Earth, so we decided to leave them alone, but we left several spying drones collecting data and recording their way of life.
This practice of leaving spying devices was repeated on every planet we dialed, so we can see if we will be able to establish a dialog at a later date.
Some cultures we discovered are the same as the cultures of Mongolia, Egypt, African tribes, and Asian continents. For this to occur, someone had to pluck the native population from Earth and transplant them to those planets, otherwise, I can not perceive how the same form of culture could develop thousands of light-years away.
Of 2,895 gates we dialed, only 59 had some form of intelligent life, others were barren wastelands with a few patches of green pastures.
The scanning software has been updated to search magical plants and animals and to search possible magical people. The latter was highly unlikely but one never knows what could occur.
On several planets and even some moons we found ruins of houses and some castles, so someone, probably Goa'uld, destroyed those settlements.
On three of those planets, we found hidden tech, which we retrieved.
We puzzled with one of the scans that showed some kind of vehicle, cylindrical in shape, made of naquadah. When we went to retrieve it, the vehicle wasn't there.
As it turned out it was invisible. So with the simple spell, I summoned a fine layer of dust to cover the vehicle.
With the length of 8 meters and height of 4.7 meters, it looked like an exploratory vehicle that would go through the gate. And with the invisibility feature, it could go undetected almost anywhere. That is if it could fly.
I pulled out the schematics found in the repository to determine how to enter inside. Same as the repositories, it requires a DNA lock to open the door and to operate it. As we already established that neither Sirius nor I have a lick of Alteran DNA we need to find some other way to safely operate it.
I was reluctant to use my techno sense to connect to the computer of something so advanced, but I relented just this once.
Closing my eyes I directed my mind towards the central computer. Once I was inside it I gently caused it to deactivate the cloaking field and to open the door.
With the visible shimmer, the vehicle slowly came to the visible spectrum, and with the hiss, the door opened on the other side of the cockpit.
Now fully visible and with the door opened we could finally see what it looks like.
The design of the vehicle is a small, roughly cylindrical shape with an angled front and rear, allowing it to slide perfectly through open Stargates. The front section contains the cockpit of the vessel with all control functions, four seats for passengers, and a large viewport at the front of the ship. The aft section contains a passenger and storage area with a hatch in the back to access the ship. The craft is split into two sections, the cockpit and cargo hold, with a bulkhead door to separate them.
On the front of the cockpit is a dialing device, probably for remote dialing. But the symbols are different from those found on every dialing device currently found. If the principle of celestial bodies is the same, this configuration is from another galaxy.
I connected the laptop and downloaded everything from the onboard computer. For now, I leave it alone. We exited the craft, closed the door, and with the application of levitation charm slowly went towards the stargate.
Sirius was the first one to go through the gate to catch it once I send it through.
And so, we had our first spacecraft ready to dissect and study for our space-capable craft.
oooOOOooo
On our new planet, we set up something similar to the marauders' map. This map would track every living thing on the planet. The charm work was bitch to compile, but with my mind and with the help of the laptop and its vast repository of every kind of magic we managed to set it up.
It would differentiate if the object of the tracking is a friend (green lettering), an enemy (red flashing color) or if the person is somehow influenced to do something against its will (neon orange). To facilitate the entire planet we had to manually carve runes on 36 ward stones. Unlike ward stones from the earth, these stones we made of this new material we found. It is called Trinium. In its raw form it is weak and brittle but once refined it is 100 times lighter and stronger than steel.
We managed to recycle trinium from the Goa'uld space ship we found on our first planet promptly called 'Museum planet' just for shit and giggles.
The amount of the trinium we collected was around 700 kilos. Using transfiguration, we created 36 ward stones, dodecahedron in shape, length of one of the edges is 10 centimeters. And with the area 172.05cm2 of one side, we had lots of space to carve all kinds of wards.
Alongside identification wards, we crafted many others. Wards to prevent forest fire from spreading, air purifier wards, immobilization wards in case of ill-intent wards going off, and many others that we found in the library but left deactivated. Every ward stone would be connected to a central ward stone inside the building that houses the stargate. From there we can activate or deactivate the specific function of every ward stone on the planet. And we also found a way to add more wards through the central ward stone so we don't have to search all the others.
Sirius and I also mapped all lay-lines on the planet so we could relocate the schools on the intersection of the most powerful lay-lines. One such intersection is on the top of the mountain that could be seen right behind the structure housing the stargate.
Even more powerful lay-lines are intersecting at that point than those of Scotland where the Hogwarts was located. Room of Requirement will be even more powerful once the castle is back in place.
oooOOOooo
Not far from the new structure housing the stargate we constructed a complex of buildings that would serve as a development center for any tech or magi-tech that will be invented or recreated from all the data collected from the repositories and alien computers.
This complex is also warded through the gills, so much that even a nuclear bomb wouldn't be able to make a dent on the wards.
Just in case that we ever got attacked from space, and with the data collected from the Goa'uld ship, we could be attacked with the energy weapons or with the projectile weapons. A new ward was developed by me that would redirect any energy base attack back to where it came from with a pint-point precision. I even tested it with a staff weapon and with the Zat'nik'tel. It successfully redirected every shot towards the point of origin.
The grenades and any other projectile-type weapon would be suspended in the bubble of no-time and would be recycled to its base components. Those components would be transported to a secure location warded from any type of radiation. Afterward, those components could be used to build something new.
oooOOOooo
The time came when the elves would start to arrive. I instructed them to send a message when they were ready to go through the reality portal, so Sirius and I wouldn't attack them upon arrival.
Message received, and one by one the Elves started to appear through the portal. As they exited, they would carry many shrunken trunks on the person. Me, being paranoid enough for both me and Sirius set up an ill-intent ward just to make sure that no Elf became corrupted. As it turns out, every Elf passed without activating the ward.
8756 Elves, male, female, and children came through the portal.
I applied a sonorous charm to my throat. "Welcome, for those who don't know who I am, I am Harry Potter and this is Sirius Black. We have traveled between realities in hope of better life and in hope of finding human life. I am sure that you all are already aware of what could be found on the planet and in the galaxy as a whole. This planet is highly magical and will serve us for as long as we don't destroy it same as the muggles and wizards did on the Earth. Sirius and I have prepared some accommodations for some of you in the building behind us, but as there are so many of you I would like it if you start to make your own accommodation. I know that this is all new for you but I would like to implore you not to travel far from this valley. Some animals could attack you unprovoked, so just to be sure that everyone is safe you will need to stay in the valley.
For housing, you could use wizarding tents or if you have packed your houses in transport orbes you could set them up. For future ease of access, I would like if you set the houses like a village or a town. I don't want to be rude, but the wizarding housing could use a lot of improvements. If you need some examples of how to build houses, you could turn your imagination towards muggle houses. We are not alone in this galaxy, so at some point in time, we will probably have some guests. Human or totally alien, we need to protect our secrets the same as we did back home. If you see someone non-magical conceal all magic use and apply glamor charms to appear human. At least for now, until we can protect ourselves from any form of attack."
With that speech completed, the eldest of the Elves asked me to speak to them. We entered the central building, went upstairs to a conference room.
Seven Elves, alongside Sirius and me, occupied one of the smaller conference rooms.
They call themselves 'The council of seven' and are the core of the government they decided to make.
In this meeting, we talked about the Planet, the state of other planets, and what we managed to discover about the Goa'uld. We talked about the local Earth and how to make a connection with it. We don't even know if the date is the same as on our Earth or if the portal had a temporal effect.
After several hours of information sharing, we went our separate ways. Sirius decided to take a nap, while I decided to start designing a spaceship that would be able to travel to Earth.
I want to make a ship capable of going through the gate the same as the Alteran spaceship recovered several months ago. I don't want to use the 'Puddle jumper' in order to remain anonymous in the large galaxy filled with the Goa'uld and who knows how many unknowing species capable of space flight. So something different and new needs to be designed.
I started with the color. It will be white with red highlights. The cockpit area will be in front of the craft, surrounded on two sides with extensions from the main body. The main body will have all the necessary machinery and systems required for safe travel in the atmosphere and space.
I lobotomized the neural interface found in the 'Puddle jumper' so Sirius and I could monitor and fly with the thought. But I also added manual controls just in case we are unable to concentrate enough if we ever get attacked. The cockpit area will be able to rotate 360 on the main axel of the ship. The drive is a fast hyperdrive found inside the repository belonging to an Asgard race. It cannot go across the galaxy but the drive is capable of traveling between 200 light-years without any problems. It can travel even further but the drive needs to cool down between jumps.
The wings of the ship can fold in such a manner that the entire ship can go through the Stargate. I also took inspiration from the 'Puddle jumper' for the dialing system. But unlike the pedestal or the keyboard style dialing, I added a touch-screen option, installed the program from the Milky-way system and the Pegasus galaxy as I found out while snooping the computers of 'Puddle jumper'.
The sensors are the same as the gate sensors. It can scan up to 20 light-years in all directions. The sensor reed-out is displayed in a 3D model same as the galaxy map. For a more precise readout of the, for example, a planet, the entire scanning apparatus would focus on it. With this scanner, I could find a specific atom inside the planet.
I also found a teleportation device capable of disassembly and reassembly of the matter within 1 light year. The storage capable of storing any type of matter is also installed into the ship.
Now all I need to do is to build the ship.
oooOOOooo
The Elves decided to make brand-new houses. (the style can be found on bitly com / 3my2VQQ)
They worked fast and in the span of a month, they build the entire village of houses. The material used spanned from wood to metals, concrete to marble. They decorated the interior with the stuff from our old world.
The greenhouses also had a makeover. They looked more modern and expanded to the maximum so no extra outside space is being used. The plants were replanted one by one with new soil and acclimated to a new environment.
The magical animals will stay in stasis for now as the environment is still unknown to the Elves. The local ecosystem needs to be observed over the span of at least five years in order to make sure nothing new included would throw the balance in disarray.
oooOOOooo
On one of our scheduled expeditions, Sirius and I, alongside two Elves named Igneel and Ignia, discovered a humanoid android.
This android was found inside a cave and is deactivated. I discovered that I can connect to the technology the same as my laptop. Browsing the 'mind' of the android I discovered her name: Reese.
Reese's systems were maintained by millions of nanites, designed and programmed to work together as a self-repair mechanism. These microscopic machines deactivated when disconnected from the android's body. However, the nanobots used for self-repair were also able to reorder matter on a microscopic level, enabling her to create a variety of objects from raw material, including Replicator blocks.
The neurological systems, which were as complex as a human brain, required the presence of an activation chip in a slot near the android's neck. However, the personality contained within the android was flawed, and Reese appeared to have the mind of a child. This would eventually appear to be a critical error, as the android was smart enough to build the Replicators, yet was emotionally immature. Reese would overreact and refuse to take responsibility for her mistakes, which resulted in the destruction of her world. This inability or refusal to accept responsibility for her own actions would in the end be her downfall.
The civilization on the world became afraid of Reese when she developed mechanical toys to counteract her boredom and eventually tried to destroy her. She programmed her toys to make more of themselves and defend her and one another. Eventually, the toys destroyed her father and the rest of the civilization, then left her alone on the planet.
These machines would later be studied by the Asgard with disastrous results, and become known throughout the galaxy as the dreaded Replicators. Reese subsequently placed herself within a secure vault and went into stasis.
Delving deeper into the code inside the android I discovered that she was created to mimic human children. But the code she was created with was not able to adapt itself for the growth of a child. In short, she could not learn anything new.
I decided to reprogram her entire code so she can become what the scientists that created her intended.
I copied the entire code on protected storage for future more in-depth study. If the code is to be believed, the toys she created will continue to replicate themselves indefinitely, or until she gives them new commands. The nanobots inside her could be reprogramed to build anything from specifications, and I will probably use them to build my new spaceship as soon as I make the code as secure as possible.
The four of us alongside the still deactivated android returned to our new planet and secured her in one of the newly build labs on the campus.
oooOOOooo
Several weeks of studying the code found inside the android Reese and comparing the data found inside the repository I found the similarities between the 'builder bots' used by the Alterans and Lanteans.
The 'builder bots' were used to make all the technology of the Alterans by using the base materials and rearranging the atoms in a specific form. With the 'builder bots' they created everything from the furniture to the spaceships.
It is my belief, that one of the 'builder bots' was left on the planet and later discovered by the scientists who studied it and later build the android Reese without the failsafe's built in the 'builder bots'.
I reprogramed the nanites inside the android to only repair the skeleton of the android and to safeguard the computer. The ability to create more of the nanites, I blocked. Reese won't be able to make more of the 'replicators' by her will alone. Her personality was adjusted to learn and adapt with many failsafe's.
I took several nanites and isolated them from Reese and completely reprogramed them. I took the code from the 'builder bots' and added my code with many more adjustments and failsafe's. Only I can alter their programming in the future. If someone else tries to tamper with the base code the entire cluster of nanites would self-destruct.
In one of the labs, I warded the space so nothing can get out, not even a signal. I added ten grams of pure naquadah inside and one of the nanites. Instructing the nanite to reproduce itself until all the naquadah inside the contained field is consumed, I watched the progress.
It took less than five minutes for one nanite to become a million. The first nanite was made out of common metals like iron, steel, and copper. But all the new nanites were maned entirely out of naquadah.
I did the same experiment with the trinium and with the mithril. The same happened with all the materials I subjected to one nanite.
Now that I have a hive of the microscopic machines, I programmed all of them with the schematics of the ship I designed. The design went through many checks with the programs found in the repository.
With every self-checking program, I ran my design with, more and more details were added to its design. Conduits for power, coolant, air, weapon systems, cloaking capability, armor, shields, and many more functions were added to the overall design.
With the list of needed materials, I entered the trunk we came with and took everything needed for the ship to build itself.
I took naquadah, trinium, and crystals from the crashed ship, and I even asked the Elves for more materials if they brought with them any.
In a large room, still warded with all the precautions just in case, I released the nanites over the materials.
The nanites I released will not replicate themselves, only a finite amount of them would ever be used on the planet.
It took three weeks to build the ship using a small number of nanites, but the wait was worth it.
(Design of the ship can be found on (bitly com / 3iIQgcL) {{Ship(1)}})
oooOOOooo
When I studied the code of the android Reese, I found a recall code, that when broadcasted would instruct every replicator block to travel to the origin of the signal. Inside the code was also a shutdown function. Sirius, The council of seven, and I decided to use one of the uninhabitable planets on the edge of the galaxy for the sole purpose of recalling every single replicator block created by Reese.
Inside the repository was a design of a subspace transmitter capable of transmitting the signal across several galaxies.
My new nanites constructed the transmitter in 12 hours. The only data that will be transmitted through the subspace will be the command 'Come and sleep'. This command will hopefully recall all the replicators to the planet, and once they land on the surface will deactivate themselves.
The planet I am on has no life and the atmosphere is toxic. To get here we went with our new spaceship called 'Explorer One'. Just to be sure that the replicator doesn't consume the Stargate and the pedestal, we teleported them inside the storage buffer on the ship.
The transmitter will be inside the warded area, once activated the ward won't allow anything to get through, so the transmitter will remain safe.
With everything ready, I activated the transmitter.
oooOOOooo
4 million light-years from the Milky Way galaxy, in Ida galaxy, on the planet Othala, Supreme Commander Thor, blinked several times when he got a communication from front fighters on the Planet overcome by the Replicators.
"Supreme Commander Thor, the Replicators are retreating. They are constructing ships capable of interstellar travel and all the replicator blocks are gathering on those ships. It is unknown where they will travel to. I will inform you of any further development."
Several hours later, more and more similar reports came. When the first ship entered the Hyperspace one of the others followed.
Over several hours no replicators remained in Ida galaxy.
"Well, this is not good, not good indeed".
"Attention all commanders, Regroup on Othala, make repairs and refill everything onboard the ships. The least damaged ships are to follow replicators wherever they end up. You are to assess the situation and if necessary engage them in battle."
