Harry Potter was a thirty-four-year-old man of average height, he had a slender build, had emerald green eyes and wore glasses that were black and round. He had short, messy, black hair and on his forehead there was a scar in the shape of a lightning bolt.
During Harry's childhood he had been forced to take part in a wizarding war against the dark wizard Lord Voldemort and when he was the age of twenty the war had ended. He was famous and as a teenager had been known as The Boy Who Lived, then ever since he had defeated Voldemort people called him The Man Who Defeated You Know Who.
Harry's fame still caused him trouble, trouble in the form of marriage proposals from strangers, stalkers and people constantly invading his privacy as if they had a right to his private life.
Harry had changed since the war and the changes he had experienced were not all the usual psychological problems that people suffer from, though he suffered from them as well.
There was the changes Harry had suffered from becoming the Master of Death combined with dying briefly and then coming back to life in the final battle against Voldemort. Harry was no longer fully human and his body had changed to reflect that. He had now some ghost traits that would display themselves when Harry experienced extremely high levels of stress or emotions, this strongly reminded Harry of accidental magic. This was something Harry had now gotten used to and he quickly learned how to control it.
Harry didn't date these days, he used to try to date but most of the people who he had tried to date had only wanted to be with him because of the fame that his name had brought, then there were those people that wanted the wealth that came with his name.
After a while Harry swore off dating altogether.
He was tired of the heartbreak and pain.
Teddy, Harry's now fourteen-year-old Godson, had encouraged him to keep trying, that there would be someone out there for him. Yet Harry didn't feel as if there was, he had been burned too many times and now he just wanted to be left alone to raise Teddy in peace. Teddy was one of the most important things in his life. Raising Teddy after the war had given him a purpose, a reason for him to get out of bed in the morning. While the other witches and wizards had been out partying, he had been at home looking after Teddy.
Some people had said that Harry had been using Teddy as an excuse, a reason not to do things. Yet out of everyone he did the most, when he wasn't helping in the rebuilding of the wizarding world, he was out capturing the remaining Death Eaters, when he wasn't doing either of those things then he was sitting in trial after trial, making sure that the guilty got punished and that the innocent walked free.
The final straw for Harry had been when he had caught people trying to pressure Teddy, he had been beyond furious. They had actually thought that they could use his Godson to get to him. He had packed everything up and moved, taking Teddy with him.
They moved to America, more specifically a town called Amity Park.
He was grateful that those who he was close to understood his need to get away. It had taken some time for him to decide where they were going to settle down and for a while he contemplated moving to a big city but then instead decided on Amity.
Harry fell in love with Amity, granted it was a supernatural hot spot and one that he would need to keep an eye on but he knew that Teddy would be safe here, he would make sure of it.
It didn't take Harry and Teddy long to settle in to their new home. Harry bought a house, he enrolled Teddy at a local High School called Casper High and Harry opened up a bookshop.
Harry hummed to himself as he walked around his new bookshop, it had taken weeks of back breaking work but he had finally gotten it finished. Granted, he could have used magic to speed up the process along but there was a certain appeal in doing it the muggle way.
Harry was nervous as well as excited, today was the opening day.
Harry was not just excited about the opening day of his bookstore but also that he had started a new life in a different country. Teddy was already in school, he had dropped the teen off this morning. He hoped that Teddy had a good day.

Vlad Masters, a man who was also known as Vlad Plasmius was a man in his early forties, he was rich, suave, intelligent, and mysterious…or at least that was how he allowed the vast majority of people to see him as. He had long white hair that he usually had tied back into a ponytail and a matching goatee. He also had black eyebrows, a pointed nose and midnight blue eyes.
Vlad wasn't a normal man, he was a half human and half ghost hybrid. This was due to a accident he had become a victim to when he had been in college. It had been a prototype ghost portal that he had helped build with his former best friend Jack and Maddie who was a woman who he had loved. The experiment had overloaded and blasted him in the face with ectoplasmic energy.
The accident had changed Vlad permanently, his DNA had become infused with ectoplasm which had resulted in his formerly black hair to change to white hair and he had acquired ghost powers that he had learned how to use. He could transform himself into a ghost.
In his ghost form he retained very little of his human appearance, for one thing his ghost form looked more like a vampire than human.
His ghost form was more muscular than that of his human form, it had sky blue skin, red eyes and fangs. His hair which was styled in a horn like U shape was black and he had a black goatee.
Vlad was a man who was used to getting what he wanted when he wanted it, unfortunately when it came to Maddie Fenton, there was an obstacle in his way and for once it wasn't her buffoon of a husband.
Yes, Vlad still blamed Jack Fenton for what had happened to him, afterall it had been because of Jack's carelessness that Vlad had ended up as a halfa. There was no denying that it had made him bitter and angry, Jack got the girl, family, and everything he had ever wanted while Vlad had been stuck in hospital for years. He had to relearn how to walk, speak and write, the damage that had been done to him hadn't just been on the surface. Even his memory of that time was patchy at best, sometimes he could remember things and other times it was as if the memories were like sand slipping through his fingers.
It was why he wasn't too concerned about the bet that he had made with Danny.
There was no doubt that the other halfa would give it his all but Vlad knew that the boy would fail.
Vlad was no idiot, he knew that whatever had been done to him had amplified certain things. It was why his crush on Maddie had went to a full-blown obsession in a short period of time. Before that it had been a small budding crush, but even he had been able to tell that Maddie was more interested in Jack than anyone else. Something that Jack had been too blind to see.
He had tried many times to find ways to break the obsession himself, he had tried dating however the dates never lasted long because he would always compare them to Maddie. Any woman who he had dated who had red hair, yet it was never the correct shade of red and when it was, he would find problems with their personality…Every time. It was a vicious never-ending cycle. Yet maybe with Danny's help the cycle might get broken.
Danny was known for doing the impossible, afterall.
Or maybe he was just daydreaming and he would be stuck in this never-ending loop for the rest of his life.
Vlad felt his stomach growl and he winced, he pulled a flask out and began to drink the contents. Ectoplasm. It wasn't bad enough that he had been turned into a halfa as well. To say that he was cursed was an understatement. Ever since the accident he felt as if he was living on the edge and that nothing he did was ever good enough for anyone. With a sigh he turned back to his paperwork, just another day in the office.
