Welcome to Houses Comp again, friends! I'm back on Slytherin team this year, but the big difference is that I'm HEAD OF HOUSE! How cool is this? We've got a trophy to protect, so let's gooo!
This is year 8, and Round 1. I'll be writing my drabble, and I picked the prompt (object) motorbike. I think you all know what this means!

It was a hot sunny day, and the garage was practically a sauna. Despite that, Sirius would not have wanted to be anywhere else. He loved being in the garage. To him, it signified everything he loved about Muggles and their crazy contraptions.
His favorite Muggle invention was the amazing motorcycle parked in front of him. He'd gotten it from Lily; it had been a gift for his seventeenth birthday. At first, he'd had so much trouble with it. He'd never even ridden a bicycle. Lily had helped him, and eventually, he had gotten the hang of it.
And then, he started with the modifying charms. At first, there were only simple ones- he'd added silencing charms, quickly followed by a cushioning charm on the seat. And then, he had tried an invisibility charm, a suggestion prompted by James. It had worked perfectly and gave him two feet of invisibility surrounding the bike.
Now he was trying one more: a flight charm. He'd come across it while reluctantly helping Remus do a bit of research, and he had known immediately that he had to try it.
"Remus!" he called over to his friend, who was rummaging through the refrigerator. "Bring me one of those!"
Remus returned to where Sirius was working on the bike, bearing two sodas (another Muggle thing introduced to him by Lily). "I don't know why you always insist on working on this thing during the absolute hottest days of the summer."
Sirius took the drink and opened it before taking a swig. "Just inspiration, I guess. So, what did you say the charm was?"
Remus checked their notes that were scattered across the table. "Er… it's Mova Fuga."
"Right," he said. He looked around the mess for his wand and spotted it next to the toolbox. Snatching it up, he pointed it at the motorcycle. "Here goes nothing. Mova Fuga!"
As long as he lived, Sirius would remember the anticipation eating at him, wondering whether the spell would actually work. If it did, he knew it would come in handy for getaways, or just for fun.
For a few moments, nothing happened. Sirius was beginning to think that the spell had been a dud, when he noticed the handlebars twisting slightly. Then, he could only hold his breath in anticipation as the motorcycle started to lift off the ground.
"It works!" Sirius exclaimed. "That's so cool!"
Remus raised his brow as he saw it, barely audibly gasping. "Wow. Awesome."
They were both quiet for a minute, taking in their new flying contraption. Remus spoke up, "This is really great, Sirius. Just one thing, though. Isn't it illegal to enchant Muggle things?"
Sirius gave Remus a knowing look. "Ah, that's the beauty of it, mate. That's only if it could possibly get back into Muggle hands. I have no intention of ever letting this thing into anyone's hands other than ours."
Remus shrugged. "If you're sure. Just curious, I guess. It's always better to be safe than sorry."
Sirius grinned and clapped Remus on the back. "Ah, don't worry so much, Moony! We've got a flying motorcycle! We've gotta take her for a test drive, wouldn't you say?"
With that, a mischievous gleam entered Remus' eye. "Oh, absolutely! Let's see what she can do!"
