Ash and Paul groaned, this time their fight had ended in another draw, they were sure that one of them would win this time around.
The other Z fighters were a little stumped as well, they didn't expect the boys fight to end in a draw, it was really unexpected.
Vegeta and Piccolo were really ticked that it ended in a draw, after the argument they both had when the fight started, they were sure that one of the boys would prove their better than the other, but it just didn't happened.
Goku was also shocked but mainly impressed, he didn't know the boys had this much power in them, Piccolo was right, Ash was definitely stronger then they were during the Cell games, it makes him proud, he really didn't have anything to worry about for the next generation had things covered.
Videl didn't even know what to say.
Gohan only looked on surprised, he didn't really know the depths of the boys power and didn't think it would be this great, they had really surprised him with how strong they were.
Goten and Trunks were surprised as well, they knew their brothers were stronger than them by a lot but this was really surprising to see how far they went, but they were also a little ticked that neither actually won, they were talking about how their own brother was going to win and then this happened.
ChiChi and Bulma sat back down with a sigh, they were both really betting on their own respected child to win but it looks like they were too evenly matched to get the actually win.
The spectators were still to shocked to say anything about this honestly.
Hercule was still close to peeing his pants.
"Well folks, I honestly don't know what to make to make about this, we've never had a draw here before." The announcer told as Ash and Paul got up and reverted to their base states.
"Well this sucks." Ash said dusting himself off, he really wanted to win this time around.
"Yeah, it really does, but can't do anything about it now." Paul said dusting himself as well.
"What are we gonna do, my Mom really wanted the prize money for us to live better at home?" Ash asked as they went through their food really fast.
Not surprising when you have 3 half blooded Saiyans living under the same roof.
"We'll just tell the announcer we've consider this a draw and you can have the prize money, my family's rich so I don't need it." Paul said not wanting to make a big deal out of all this.
"Really, you'd do that Paul." Ash said a little surprised that Paul would do this.
"Don't make me repeat myself." Paul said as he and Ash walked up to the announcer and tapped him getting his attention.
"Huh, yes." The announcer said seeing the kids.
"Yeah, the fights a draw, but give the prize money to Ash, since we lost and won at the same time, we get both spots of the winner and runner up right?" Paul questioned as the announcer thought about it.
The announcer thought about that but wasn't sure.
He grabbed the attention of a helper who came up.
The announcer asked about Paul's words and said that it was technically possible if the two agreed on this.
"Excuse me everyone, since this match was a draw and the two fighters agreed on this, they will be given the prize money of the winner and runner up spot!" The announcer stated out loud as the people were surprised by this but were okay with it since it did make some sense.
"But that only leads to the winner fighting our champion Mr Satan." The announcer said as the crowd remember that.
"Oh yeah, I forgot all about that, maybe this will be entertaining after all." Krillin said while surprised that the boys had a draw but might see Hercule get his.
"So which one of you boys want to step up to the champ?" The announcer asked to both the boys.
Only to get a...
"No thanks." Paul said making the announcer look a little confused.
"Excuse me?" The announcer looked a little confused.
"I said no thanks, I had my fight." Paul said knowing he only wanted to fight Ash and no one else right now.
"Me neither, I'm happy where I stand right now." Ash added in.
After that, before anyone else could say anything, the two boys walked off back into the building.
The crowd was a little speechless at this before the announcer spoke up again.
"Well folks, that's it I suppose, with that, the Junior Division section of the World Tournament has concluded, and that means, soon the Adult section of the World Tournament will begin!" The announcer told as the crowd cheered this time around since that means they'll be able to see the champ in action.
"Well that's great, we'll finally be able to get our fights on." Goku said excited to finally be able to fight.
"Yeah, but I'm gonna go talk to Ash and Paul first dad." Gohan said wanting to talk to his little brother before they get started on the tournament.
"Oh okay Gohan, meet up with us when your done with that." Goku said as Gohan walked off.
"Hey wait for me Gohan." Videl said following the teenager.
"The Adult Tournament will begin soon folks, take the time to rest up before it begins!" The announcer told as Goku perked up at that.
"Okay, while we're waiting, let's go get something to eat." Goku said as he and the others walked off.
While Goku and the others were heading to eat, Ash and Paul were walking around while Goten and Trunks went off somewhere else.
"I honestly didn't want our fight to end like that, I wanted a real winner in the fight." Paul said feeling disappointed that their fight ended in a draw.
"Me too, we can still finish it though." Ash said getting Paul's attention.
"What do you mean by that?" Paul asked wondering what Ash meant.
"I mean, we can fly off to a wasteland or something and continue our fight there, we would be able to go all out with thinking our attacks would hurt anyone, and we wouldn't have to worry about a ring out since our part in the tournament is over." Ash explained as Paul got what Ash was saying.
"Your right, this way we'll be able to have a real fight." Paul said getting excited to fight again.
"Well what are we waiting for, let's go." Ash said as they were about to fly off but suddenly.
"Ash, Paul!" Gohan's voiced called out making the two boys turn around to see Gohan and Videl heading towards them.
"Gohan, how'd you like the fight?" Ash asked to his older brother.
"It was great, I should've known you would try what you did in there, you did say about a loophole." Gohan said as Ash rubbed his head.
"Yeah didn't want to go through the tournament holding back." Ash said as Paul rolled his eyes.
"Hey, are we going or what?" Paul said getting Videl's attention.
"Wait, going, what are you two up too?" Videl asked as Ash looked at her.
"Oh me and Paul are gonna head to place for us to fight again, we didn't like how this fight ended in a draw because of the tournament rules so we're gonna go fight again till one of us drops." Ash explained casually like it was no problem making Videl gape.
"Wait really, you sure you guys don't wanna take a break?" Gohan asked as Ash shook his head.
"Don't worry about us Gohan, you worry about your place in the tournament." Ash said as Paul floated in the air.
"I'm not waiting, see you there." Paul said flying off.
"Hey wait for me!" Ash said flying after him.
Videl watched stunned seeing the boys fly off at amazing speeds.
Gohan only sighed seeing this and turned back to Videl.
"Well I guess we should head back, let's go meet up with my dad." Gohan said as Videl turned to him feeling a little numb.
"Y-yeah, let's do that." Videl said shaking off the headache that was coming to her.
Ash caught up with Paul within moments.
"So you ready to get your butt kicked?" Ash said as they were flying.
"Yeah right, this will, anything goes, the environment and anything in and on it is free play to use to help." Paul said trying to find a good place for them to fight at.
"Well let's try to make it quick though, I really want to see how the tournament is gonna go with the adults, I mean didn't your dad only enter because my dad and Gohan entered?" Ash asked as Paul nodded.
"Yeah I heard stories of the two, so I guess it'd be interesting to see them fight, so yeah, let's find a place to fight quick and settle it quick." Paul said not wanting to miss the most exciting fights in the tournament.
"Right." Ash said looking around for a good place to land and fight.
Back at the World Tournament, in a eating Booth, Goku and Vegeta were eating, and eating a lot.
"There you are sur." A helper said handing Goku more food.
"Ah this is good stuff!" Goku said happy to eat the yummy food.
Vegeta just eat his without saying a world.
"Ugh, you know, I don't think I'll ever get use to this." Piccolo said feeling disgusted as he's seen Ash eat the same way on the Lookout.
"Yeah Goku, you sure eat a lot for a dead guy." Krillin said seeing his friend a lot despite being dead.
"Y'know, that's exactly what King Kai always tell me but what can I say, I just love to eat." Goku said continuing to eat.
"You're telling me." Krillin said as Gohan and Videl walked in.
"Cool, it's chow time." Gohan said seeing all the food.
"Gohan, hey alright, how did it go guys?" Goku asked.
"Well I found the two, but they flew off afterwards, saying they wanted to finish their fight somewhere else." Gohan said as Vegeta smirked a little hearing this.
He knew his son wanted to finish his fight with Ash the right way.
"Cool, I'm a little sad neither of them wanted to fight Hercule, guess that goofball got off easy this time." Krillin joked around but Videl wanted to know what he meant by that.
"And what do you mean by that?" Videl asked as Gohan covered Krillin's mouth.
"You don't know Krillin, he's always joking like that, isn't that right, you never know when to stop do you." Gohan said sternly at the end.
"That's right, now let go please." Krillin said as Videl looked a little put off.
"Hey guys, we ordered for you already, grab a chair, it's really good." Goku said wanting Gohan and Videl to eat.
"Alright, great, I'm famish." Gohan said as he began eating too.
All three Saiyans started piling up the plates.
"Hey Dad, we're all out of pasta." Gohan said letting his dad know they were out of pasta.
"Excuse me, more spaghetti please!" Goku called out to a helper.
"And bring some more eggrolls while you're at it!" Vegeta added in to the order.
"Good grief you Saiyans are like bottomless pits I swear." Krillin said as he'll never get use to this.
"What's a Saiyan?" Videl asked confused by the name.
"Krillin hello!" Gohan said getting close to Krillin.
"Oh I'm sorry Gohan, I'm just not gonna talk anymore, yeah lips are sealed." Krillin said covering his mouth.
"Ah, that was incredible, what a feast!" Goku said getting up, feeling full.
The rest finished up and left the booth.
"Wow we, I'm so full, if I have to fight one of you guys please don't punch me in the gut." Goku said as they all walked.
"You didn't eat anything, you must be on a diet." Gohan said to Videl who didn't eat anything.
"Believe it or not Gohan, most athletes don't like to stuff themselves before a big match." Krillin said to the teenager.
"Hey we should go check the draw, see who's fighting who." 18 said to the group.
"Well if I have to fight Kakarot in the first round, the first thing I'm going to do is punch him in the gut." Vegeta said wanting a stick it to Kakarot by punching him in the place he doesn't want to be punched in.
"Oh man, no mercy." Goku said as Piccolo saw two people ahead.
A man with a mohawk who was floating above the ground and a red skin man.
The group stopped when they got close.
"Hey Gohan, I'm picking up some weird vibes from these guys." Videl said as the man with the mohawk floated towards Goku.
"Good afternoon, you wouldn't be Goku by any chance would you?" The man asked to Goku.
"Yeah how did you know my name was Goku?" Goku asked to the strange man who somehow knew his name.
"Well your reputation as a great fighter proceeds you, I was actually hoping for a chance to fight you during the Tournament." The man said with a strange smile.
Goku didn't understand.
"It's not that I'm confident about beating you not at all, it's just that I want to have the greatest challenge I can think of and I know your a man who understands that." The man states making Goku more confused.
He just didn't understand what it was about this guy.
"Well then it was a real pleasure, I'm honored and I'm very much looking forward to today's competition, I've travelled very far for this opportunity to meet you in battle, you might even say I'm one of your biggest fans, in any case after meeting you I'm certain I won't be disappointed." The man explained to Goku.
"Well gosh thanks." Goku said as he didn't know what to say.
"Goku may I shake your hand." The man said as he held up his hand to shake.
"Yeah of course." Goku said grabbing the man's hand and shaking it.
The man's smile turning bigger.
Goku looked surprised.
"Alright, thank you, you're as brave as everyone says you are, good day." The man said as he landed on the ground and bowed.
He walked back to the red skin man and they both walked away.
"Hey wait a second, I didn't catch your name." Goku called out to the man but didn't get an answer.
"I don't like the feel of it, they're strong." Piccolo said behind Goku.
"Real strong, but hey, isn't that what this tournament's about, finding the unexpected challenge and seeing who'll emerges as the victor." Goku said liking the challenge.
Vegeta only hmmped.
"Gee I don't know, they don't seem all that strong to me guys, to tell the truth I don't think they know what they're getting themselves into." Krillin said seeing the two strange men walking off.
"Well we'll find out soon enough won't we, I for one would be more than happy to take on either of those two clowns." Vegeta said seeing the two walk off.
(Wasteland)
It had taken a few minutes of flying at full speed, but the boys landed in an area where they could fight without anyone interrupting them.
"Wow, that was a long trip but we finally found a place where we can settle our battle." Ash said as Paul landed a few distance in front of him.
"Yeah we can, I hope your ready, because if not, this is gonna hurt a lot." Paul said before turning Super Saiyan.
"Oh I am, trust me, I have a surprise for you in this battle Paul." Ash said before flaring into Super Saiyan as well.
The two charged and disappeared before shock waves appeared around the area from their clashes.
(World Tournament Arena)
While Ash and Paul flew to the wasteland and were having their fight again, the adults were getting their places in the tournament.
Goten and Trunks feeling like they wanted to have another shot in the tournament, knocked out and took the identity of one of the adult fighters named Mighty Mask.
After that, everyone drew their lots and found who they were fighting.
First fight: Krillin VS Pintar.
Second fight: Shin VS Majunior.
Third Fight: Videl VS Spopovich.
Fourth fight: Kibito VS the Great Saiyaman.
Fifth fight: 18 VS Mr Satan.
Sixth fight: Goku VS Vegeta.
Seventh fight: Mighty Mask vs Killua.
Eighth fight: Yamu VS Jewels.
After that, the announcer explained the rules about the tournament which everyone got so the tournament could begin faster.
The crowd cheered knowing the adult version of the tournament was about to finally begin.
The competitors were readying themselves for their fights in the tournament, though some of them weren't worried about their opponents.
Gohan noticed Piccolo straining himself but not too much and Videl noticed it as well.
"Hmm, something's wrong." Gohan thought knowing that something was off.
"Hey, that Piccolo guy look like's he's really stressed out over there, does he always get like this before every fight?" Videl asked to Gohan.
"He's a pretty serious guy, this is all just part of his usual routine." Gohan told.
"Hmm." Videl brought that.
"Piccolo, what is it that's eating at you like this, are you really that worried about Shin, should I be worried about Kibito?" Gohan thought as he wondered what was going to happen during this tournament.
Goku was doing some stretches trying to hype himself up.
"You can't seem to sit still Goku." Krillin said to his best friend.
"Haha, I'm just excited." Goku responded.
"Well with you fighting Vegeta right off the bat, it's kinda like having the last round first y'know." Krillin said knowing a between these two Saiyans would be explosive.
"That's why I'm stretching, Huh?" Goku said before noticing something.
Piccolo looked a little bit off.
"You alright?" Goku called out to Piccolo.
"Yeah he looks like he has his game face." Krillin said as Shin and Kibito walked in.
"I think we'll find them in here." Shin said to Kibito.
"Hey, Piccolo, looks like you and I are gonna be fighting each other in the second round, just try to take it easy on me okay, gotta look good for the misses, know what I mean Goku, hey hun, I've got a great idea, let's trade, you take my spot and I'll fight Mr Satan." Krillin said turning to his wife at the end, not noticing that Goku and Shin watched each other again.
"Forget it, he's mine." 18 said before walking away.
Shin looked at Piccolo who still looked a little distress.
Outside, some people were talking, Gohan's classmates, ChiChi and Bulma about who would win.
"Ladies and Gentlemen, I am proud to present the first match in the World Martial Arts Tournament, so let's get Krillin and Pintar out here to the ring!" The announcer called out as the crowd cheered.
"Break a leg Krillin." Goku said to his formerly bald friend.
"Just so long as it's not one of mine." Krillin said walking out, only to get pushed into the wall and pushed back by Pintar.
He rubbed his head.
"Hey, save it for the ring." Krillin said feeling salty.
"Oh I'm sorry I didn't see you there, I'm surprised that you stayed in this long little man, I was worried that I'd end up beating myself into a pulp, but now that your here I think you'll do just fine, you know I called my sister to call to reserve your private at the hospital, you'll thank me." Pintar said swinging his arms.
They walked towards the ring.
"We now have both fighters for the first match entering the ring, Krillin is quite the accomplished fighter, but this is his first tournament appearance in many years, it's a pleasure to see him back in the ring, Pintar's fierce fighting at the last champion proved he had stamina, he may have lost in the semi-finals but he's back today ready to change his luck." The announcer told to the people in the stands.
"YAHHH!" Pintar yelled out as in the stands, Marron was worried about her dad.
"The man's that daddy's fighting looks really scary, I hope he doesn't hurt him." Marron said worried about her father.
"Aw, Marron I wouldn't worried about anything like that, your dad's one of the strongest fighters around." Yamcha reassured to the young girl.
"Is that true?" Marron asked to the former desert bandit.
"Well I'll tell you one thing, I certainly wouldn't want with him." Yamcha said to the girl.
Down at the ring, you can hear the comments of the people.
"Look how big Pintar is." One man said.
"There's no way this'll be a fair fight." another man said.
"I feel bad for Krillin." One more man said.
Everyone is the waiting room watched on.
"There's a lot of talk down here on the floor about fairness in regards in the size differences of our competitors, let me just say this, this is a competition where size truly does not matter folks." The announcer told to the crowd once again.
"You can't believe what he's saying, if you want to but I tell you this, you're definitely gonna think size matters when I'm done with you." Pintar said to the short fighter.
"I'm gonna have to take it easy on this guy, don't wanna cause him anymore brain damage." Krillin thought as he short hold back a lot to this big cocky guy.
They both moved back from each other.
"Now let the battle begin!" The announcer told.
Pintar yelled as he charged at Krillin but suddenly started backflipping away around the arena before landing back in front of Krillin.
"I told you size matters boy, I guess you see what I'm talking about, you must be ready to forfeit the match right, run home like a little girl." Pintar taunted as Krillin only looked bored.
"You are so lame." Krillin said already done with this guy.
"Haha, sticks and stones may break my bones but you can never hurt and just to prove to you I'm right, I'm gonna give you a little something, I'll give you the first punch shorty, right here in the gut, come on, now!" Pintar taunted again as Krillin held up his fist.
"Kay!" Krillin said to the big man.
Before planting his fist right into Pintar gut hard.
"AHH, OOHH!" Pintar gasped for air at the hit.
Only to get repeatedly slapped in the face and then kicked in the face getting sent out of the ring and landing on his face.
"Out of the ring, Pintar has landed out of the ring which makes Krillin the winner!" The announcer proclaimed as Krillin watched away with his fist raised with the crowd cheering him on.
"Yes yes yes!" ChiChi and Bulma cheered for Krillin.
"Daddy your the best!" Marron cheered for her dad.
"That's right." Yamcha said.
"Now that's the kind of fighting I'm talking about, that is entertainment." The announcer thought, happy that this way of fighting was back.
"Hey nice going Krillin." Goku said to the fighter.
"That was nothing, sorry Piccolo but it looks like they want the next victim out in the ring, so you better put your fighting gloves on, hey why you getting all bent out of shape, I'm just fooling around, this match should be a piece of cake for you." Krillin joked around to the Namekian.
Piccolo only went back to what he was doing.
Vegeta looked at him then looked away.
Goku looked around as well and spotted Shin.
"What's the matter with you guys, man, all of you loosen up." Krillin said wondering what was up with everyone.
"Now for match number 2, and I guarantee to you that this will be another colossal brawl, Majunior vs Shin!" The announcer...announced as Piccolo and Shin began walking out to the arena.
"Well then, this should be interesting don't you think Piccolo?" Shin asked to the Namekian.
Piccolo said nothing as they walked up to the ring.
"This is the first year Shin has participated in the Tournament, he is a man of few words so we know very little about him and that could spell trouble for our other competitor Majunior, who, if I remember correctly came close to turning this arena to rubble the last time he was here, um, this time try to leave the stadium in tact okay." The announcer told to the folks but to that last part to Piccolo directly.
Piccolo and Shin stood apart, facing one another.
Shin looked calmed but Piccolo was another story.
"What is this strange energy I sense." Piccolo thought calmly but was a little suspicious.
"I don't understand, is this guy really getting under your skin that much?" Krillin asked wondering if Goku was seriously about this.
"Yeah." Goku confirmed to his friend.
"If you say so, he just seem to be all that powerful to me." Krillin said as he didn't think that Shin was a problem since he didn't sense anything powerful from him.
Piccolo watched Shin carefully and so did Vegeta.
"Come on Shin, why don't you show us why you have the namek all worried." Vegeta thought as he wanted to see the reason was Shin made Piccolo so worked up.
"Fighters, let the second match begin." The announcer told to the fighters.
Piccolo wanted to move, but something in his mind told him not to.
"Strange, why can't I focus my power, why am I holding back like this, I've never met him before today and yet, their's something about him." Piccolo thought as he didn't move from his spot.
The crowd started to rage on about nobody throwing a hit.
"The fight has started so you guys can fight anytime now." the announcer told to the fighters.
The crowd even told them to fight but still no movement.
"Well folks it looks like we've got ourselves an old fashion standoff." The announcer told nervously.
"I've sensed this kind of energy before but where?" Piccolo thought as he could see the strange energy around Shin, he swears he's sensed it before.
Shin only smiles more.
"No it couldn't be." Piccolo thought as he suddenly had a feeling who he was facing.
Goku looked surprised at Piccolo non movement.
"What's wrong with Piccolo, why won't he fight?" Gohan asked wondering what's wrong with his former master.
"He's afraid." Vegeta thought to himself seeing it.
"It can't be him, why would he be here!?" Piccolo questioned in his mind as he was sure this was that person.
"I promise you'll know soon but for now let's enjoy our little match." Shin said as if hearing his thoughts.
Piccolo looked alarmed before suddenly calming down.
He was sure about it now, he couldn't do this.
If this truly was 'him' then Piccolo couldn't fight him.
"Piccolo." Goku thought as his former rival seemed to have calmed down.
"So is this gonna happen or what?" The announcer asked as Piccolo turned to him.
"I'm sorry, I can't." Piccolo suddenly said making Shin and the announcer gasp.
"He's quitting!" Gohan said feeling shocked, he knew Piccolo wasn't one to give up.
"Does that mean you're withdrawing from the match?" The announcer asked as Piccolo walked off the stage.
"Yes it does." Piccol responded with a calm expression as he walked back towards the waiting area.
"Interesting, yes that namek was the guardian of this planet one time, maybe he knows more about me than I thought." Shin thought as the announcer spoke up.
"Well you heard it, Majunior has withdrawn from the match, that makes Shin the winner by default." The announcer stated to the crowd.
Piccolo walked by the others.
"Hey Piccolo." Gohan said.
"What went down out there?" Krillin asked wondering what Piccolo's problem was with this guy.
"Is he that strong Piccolo?" Goku asked wondering if Shin really was that powerful to make Piccolo forfeit like that.
"Yes, stronger than you can imagine." Piccolo said making Goku, Vegeta and Gohan a little shocked.
"Please tell me you've just got a headache or something, cause I'm getting edgy, I'm the one that has to go out there and fight him next." Krillin said as Piccolo continued to look down.
Shin walked off the stage.
"Not wasting anymore time, let's get on with the third match, Videl VS Spopovich." The announcer told to the crowd who started cheering for Videl.
"They really like you don't they, I guess we've got a pretty smart crowd." Gohan said to his female friend.
"Thanks." Videl responded.
Killa tried to make Spopovich go to the stage but got shocked for his trouble.
He finally went on.
"Gohan, I wanna see you in the second round okay." Videl said as Gohan blushed nodded.
Vegeta saw this and rolled his eyes.
Videl and Spopovich walked towards the stage to begin their fight.
(Wasteland)
Ash, with a few bruises, looked around for Paul before dodging a blast that came form the sky.
He looked to the sky to see Paul firing Ki blast back and forth trying to hit Ash.
Ash kept running away from the blast and firing back with his own.
*BOOOM*
His blast colliding with Paul causing an explosion in the sky.
Paul flew through the smoke and towards Ash with a punch and tried to make it land but Ash leaned his body to the side making Paul miss.
Ash created a Ki ball in his hand and shoved into Paul gut and slammed him into the ground where the attack blew up.
Ash jumped out of the smoke panting, knowing that he was still a little tired from their match during the tournament and haven't fully recovered.
The smoked cleared to see Paul there with bruises of his own and panting too, not having completely recovered either.
"This is good huh Paul." Ash said as Paul nodded.
"Yeah, no rules to restrict us from having a good fight." Paul said as this was exactly what he wanted today, the chance to settle the score with Ash, they've been at this rivalry of their's for a whole year now, and it was time to end things.
"Yeah, but I think it's time to end things, I have something I wanna show off and now's the perfect time to use it." Ash said with a grin making Paul confused.
"Huh, what are you talking about?" Paul said as Ash flared his aura.
"Watch and you'll see, HAAAA!" Ash yelled out as his aura started to grow a little bigger and Paul's eyes widened when he saw this.
Paul could also feel that Ash's power was growing as well, higher than his right now.
They were equal in power but now, Ash was surpassing him, no it couldn't be, Ash couldn't have...
"HAAAA!" Ash screamed loudly as the wind blew strongly as Paul had to close his eyes for a moment.
He felt cracks in the ground and opened his eyes and they widened with what they saw.
Ash's hairs was spikier than it was before and had one bang down his forehead, his muscles were a bit bulkier, and he had bio-electricity sparking around his body.
"So how do you like this Paul?" Ash asked with a cocky look as Paul looked shocked.
"What, what is this power?" Paul asked shocked as he could feel that Ash was twice as strong as he was now.
"You wanna know, it's what my brother explain to us in the stories of the past, this is the power he unlocked in the Cell Games, this is Super Saiyan 2 Paul." Ash told as he was able to us this power at will now.
"But how, how did you achieve this transformation?" Paul asked wondering how this was possible.
"Well I manage to tap into this power yesterday, when I training with Piccolo, we were doing a test of some sort, I'm not gonna tell you what it is but thanks to it, I was close to achieving this power thanks to that, once we realized that, me and Piccolo trained to bring it out, luckily I managed to tap into it before I had to leave to rest up for the Tournament." Ash explained as Paul looked surprised hearing this but then realized something important.
Ash had this transformation in the Tournament and didn't use it.
He held back on him.
Not only did he learn to transform into a Super Saiyan 2 but he didn't bother to use it in the tournament.
"Why you, you held back on me in the tournament, why?!" Paul yelled out in anger making Ash surprised.
"Oh, I didn't want to be a jerk, you ain't able to transform into this state so I thought I would make it fair." Ash said with a surprised expression but that only served to make Paul angrier.
"You actually made me believe I could win, I'll kill you!" Paul yelled flaring his aura and rushing towards Ash.
Only to see that he couldn't hit him as Ash was moving way to fast thanks to the speed increase of the Super Saiyan 2 form.
"I didn't say that Paul." Ash tried to explain but Paul wasn't having it.
He kept trying to hit Ash for a while but it just wasn't happening.
At one point, Ash grabbed Paul's fist and punched him in the gut making him lose his air and fell to his knee for a minute.
Ash looked at Paul as electricity continued to spark around his form.
Paul stood up again and glared at his rival.
"I will find a way to beat you." Paul said panting.
Ash only got into a stance knowing Paul wasn't one to go done easy.
(World Tournament Arena)
While Ash and Paul were facing one another, somethings were happening in the tournament.
Videl and Spopovich had their fight and unfortunately Videl had lost, really badly.
She was doing good at the beginning but that soon went wrong.
Videl wouldn't been in real danger had Spopovich continue.
Gohan had tried to jump in had not Spopovich partner Yamu had not told him to finish the match.
Videl lost and was sent into Intension care.
Before all of that though, Piccolo had found out about Shin's true identity.
He was not the Grand Kai, but the Supreme Kai, the Kai above all others.
Back to the present, Gohan had asked Goku to go to Korin's tower to get some Senzu beans for Videl.
When Goku got there, he started eating because he was hungry.
During that, he felt a lot of power in the distance, he could tell that it was Ash and Paul's energies but for some reason, Ash's power had grown, he recognized this power though, it was the same energy he felt from Gohan at the Cell Games.
He honestly wanted to go to where they were but he knew getting his beans to Gohan was more important at the moment.
So he teleported back and handed over the beans.
Gohan gave one to Videl despite being told not to from Hercule and headed out to his match.
Once out there on the stage, he realized that his bandana and cape had been blown off when he turned Super Saiyan out of rage from what happened to Videl.
Then the weirded happened, his opponent Kibito had told Gohan to transform into a Super Saiyan.
Gohan honestly protested this before Piccolo told Gohan to do it.
Gohan had no choice but to trust his judgement.
"You wanna see turn into a Super Saiyan fine I'll do it, just remember you asked for it." Gohan said as electricity started to show up.
"Goku, I've got a bad feeling about this, I think Gohan's in trouble." Krillin said watching.
Shin stepped up.
"Listen, the instant Gohan transform, I'm certain Spopovich and Yamu will try to attack him, but as I've already told you, you must try not to help him." Shin told to the group.
"I'm not sure what your after, but Gohan can take care of himself, he doesn't need any help from us." Krillin said to the Kai.
"Yes of course." Shin responded.
"What makes you so sure that those two are going to attack Gohan?" Goku asked.
"Spopovich and Yamu will not yet aware of it, but Gohan is the one they're searching for, don't worry, they don't want his life, only his energy." Shin said.
"His energy?" Goku asked as Shin nodded.
Videl, recovered from a senze bean, runs pass them to see outside.
"Last chance for requests, do you just wanna see Super Saiyan or should I take it up to the next level?" Gohan questioned to the pink skinned man.
"What's that, there's a level beyond Super Saiyan?!" Kibito questioned shocked as Gohan started powering up.
Gohan yelped as a wind blew through and electricity started to appear around his form.
His hair turned Gold and parts of the arena's bricks started floating.
He screamed as his energy engulfed the area with a bright light.
When it died down, Gohan was fully in Super Saiyan 2 with electricity sparking around his form as the bricks came back down.
In Spopovich's hands, a meter was going off the charts.
"Hey look Yamu!" Spopovich said seeing the dial going crazy.
"All that energy, it's him!" Yamu said knowing they found who they were looking.
"Your kidding, is this for real, Gohan is the Golden fighter, Impossible!" Videl said purely shocked.
ChiChi was telling the crowd to cheer him on.
"There's now you know what I can do, is this good enough for you, what happens now, should I start fighting?" Gohan asked with a smirk.
(Wasteland)
Paul was still trying to complete with Ash but both of them suddenly sensed a lot of energy.
"Hey that energy, it's Gohan, he went Super Saiyan 2 as well." Ash said recognizing his brother's energy.
Paul on the other hand.
"Are you kidding me, he's in that same state too!" Paul said, feeling the power.
First Ash does it in front of him and now Gohan does it, his anger was boiling over the edge because of this.
He trains just as hard but hasn't gotten this yet, why!
"I can feel the power but I bet I can handle it, you sensed it too Paul, I can definitely say for sure that I can beat Gohan at this level now, but you can't yet." Ash taunted a little, getting a little cocky.
And that was the final breaking point for Paul.
"And now your mocking me, that's it, I swear I am going to beat you down for this, I have to become stronger, I will become stronger than you!" Paul said as electricity started to appear around the boy.
Ash noticed that though and felt the ground around them starting to shake.
"I will not be beaten, not like this!" Paul yelled as his aura appeared and sparks of electricity started appear more and more.
Ash's eyes widened when he realized what was happening.
"YAHHHHH!" Paul screamed as his aura generated a bright light and strong winds as Ash covered his eyes from the force and felt Paul's power skyrocketed.
When he looked back, he saw what Paul had done.
Paul's golden hair had become spikier, his aura was more intense, his expression was more serious, his muscles was a bit bulkier, and electricity sparked around his form.
Ash couldn't believe it.
In his rage, Paul had became a Super Saiyan 2 like Ash has.
"Haha, do you see now, I won't allow you win, I will prove I'm stronger, here and now!" Paul stated with a laugh.
Ash looked at him in disbelief.
"Should not have taunted him." Ash said to himself as he flared his aura and electricity sparked around him, ready to fight.
Hey guys, DragonForceAsh aka zenotai123 here with another update for ya.
Well Ash and Paul decided that they should continue their fight somewhere else with no rules and that's what they do.
While they do that, the Adult Tournament has begun.
Krillin wins his fight easily while Piccolo forfeits his match against Shin, who he later learns in the Supreme Kai.
Videl has her match and is defeated.
Goku gets the senzu bean for Gohan and Videl and Gohan faces his opponent Kibito.
He is told to turn Super Saiyan and does so by going to the level beyond.
During this, Ash shows off his own Super Saiyan 2 to his rival.
Paul seeing this up close and feeling Gohan use his, Paul's anger allows him to breach the Super Saiyan wall and turn into a Super Saiyan 2 as well.
With all this power being thrown around, what will happen?
Will Ash and Paul finally settle things now that they're on the same level again.

P.S. For those who thought I would have Piccolo fight Shin because he was stronger, sorry to disappoint you but that wasn't going to happen, Kami was still apart of Piccolo at this point so mostly things didn't change, having Kami fused with him, allowed him to sense the supreme kai's power since Kami would be able to tell who his superiors are, but in this version, it was mostly out of respect then fear since Piccolo is stronger here.
