Klaus knew he hadn't been very harsh with Marcellus when he took Elijah's ruler to his behind. He supposed he just wanted to give his stubborn son a reminder that he wasn't as fully grown up as he thought he was. Klaus was also angry that he had been disobeyed and caught murdering Papa Tunde's sons. He knew that he shouldn't hide things from his own son, but he was really protecting him from some hard truths. Isn't that was he always told himself? Marcel hadn't needed to see that.

After the brief over the desk session that left Marcel smarting and remorseful, Klaus had sent him to his room. He did want to check on him, like he always did after he disciplined one of them, but he also had a question to ask.

"Hello, sweetheart, are you resting?" Klaus said seeing Marcel curled up in the bed. He had a copy of Hamlet on his bed. Marcel often took it out when he was upset.

"Yes, Papa. I am trying to, like you said. I am sorry I disobeyed you," Marcel said sincerely.

Klaus' heart broke. This boy was too good for him, too pure hearted.

"Marcellus, I forgave you. Papa was not upset with you, I was just worried," Klaus fibbed a bit. A part of him was always angry, but he never wanted to direct that rage at his family, only his enemies.

"Thank you," Marcel answered in a small voice, as Klaus sat by him on the bed.

"Marcellus, how did you know where Elijah and I were? Please, son, just tell me the truth," Klaus asked carefully, although he already knew the answer.

"Kol," Marcel said in a whisper.

Klaus seethed inside at his brother. He put that aside and kissed his son on the head.

Storyville, Red Light District

New Orleans, Louisiana

Kol was having himself quite the time at the bordello. The Landreneau twins were exquisite. They hailed from the West Indies, as New Orleans had a large Caribbean descended population. They had long black hair, and sparkling brown eyes that had shades of amber. To Kol, they looked like goddesses. They wore spicy perfumes that reminded Kol of his travels far away to study witch craft in places such as Morocco.

"Are you having fun, monsieur?" one of the girls asked him.

Loud music blared through the walls of the small and velvet draped room. There were bottles of liquor on the floor that Kol couldn't recall if he drank them or not. He wasn't sure how long he had been here. Virginie and Lola took such good care of him. This was not just any whorehouse. The wolves ran it, he knew, but it catered to all supernaturals as long as you were discreet and you have the coin.

"Drink, my love, you can have anything you want here," another voice told him. She offered him her neck.

He drank long from Virginie, or was it Lola? What did it matter? He was careful not to drain them, they had brought him some others to drink from so he was sated with blood. He had also indulged in other pleasures. The girls offered him some very strong opium and he had smoked that. It was odd how it dulled his senses, not to the point that it would have in a human.

Someone with lips of honey was kissing him, she wore a corset and heels, just like he liked. How did they know what he liked? Had he told them? He didn't recall. Kol didn't care.

French Quarter, Mikaelson Compound
"Damn it, Elijah. He's been gone three days. I let him have his fun. Now he needs to come home and answer for putting Marcel in danger," Klaus demanded.

"Niklaus, you are angry. We can't assume that Kol told Marcel about the meeting knowing that he would trot off there and see everything. I'm not even sure if this is something he should be punished for. You already walloped Marcel for it, which is just, but until we know Kol's intentions, please give him the benefit of the doubt," Elijah begged.

"Why do you defend him so strongly, Elijah? If he got my son killed would you still defend him?" Klaus spat.

"Niklaus, that is enough! You are entirely out of line. Marcel was in no danger. Kol is our little brother and yes, he needs our guidance. Now, if you will not accompany me, I will go find him alone," Elijah said stalking off to find Kol.

Klaus' burned with anger. He was glad Kol was not in the house right now, when it came to putting Marcellus in danger, he became a little irrational. Klaus didn't want to lose his temper with his brother, but he couldn't have him threatening Marcel's life. But maybe Elijah was right and Kol hadn't done it out of jealousy...Maybe.

Storyville

Elijah trudged all over the city looking for Kol. He went to his usual haunts. Elijah even went to a few witch hangouts, even though he knew Kol was not longer welcomed there after the whole Mary Alice Claire incident. Finally, Elijah knew he had to hit Storyville. The infamous red light district was located along Basin Street, between Canal Street and St. Louis Cemetery. Elijah hired a cab and compelled the driver. It was getting later in the day.

Klaus typically didn't care if Kol came here and actually visited it a few times with Kol himself. Elijah had forbidden both Marcel and Kol from coming here for any reason, even business, of late. The tensions with the Guerrera's came and went, they controlled most of the prostitution down here. There were a few spots they didn't, but it was hit or miss.

Elijah compelled a few people to direct him to any whorehouses that had funny reputations for serving "special" clients. To his dismay, he discovered there were three such places.

The second one was where he found his wayward brother. It took him a while and by the time he got to the room, he was feeling strained and agitated himself. He had the manager bust open the door.

"Kol Mikaeson, where are your trousers? You best find them before I drag you out of here without them," Elijah scolded.

"Elijah, is that you?" Kol blurted. The twins giggled and offered themselves to Elijah. He asked if Kol had settled the bill. To Elijah's horror, he paid the very large bill, got his brother dressed and dragged him out to the waiting cab.

"Kol, that place was crawling with werewolves! What were you thinking?" Elijah yelled sitting him in the other side of the cab.

"Brother, I wasn't thinking much, believe me," Kol said dazed.

"Are you on drugs? Drunk?" Elijah said grasping Kol's face between his hands.

"I may have smoked some opium," Kol admitted. It was dark now and Elijah wasn't entirely sure now that they would get home without getting attacked at least once so he restrained himself from flipping Kol over his lap and starting to spank him. He settled for two hard smacks on the thigh.

"Ouch, 'Lijah, that hurt. What are you hitting me for?" Kol whined.

"Little brother, before I launch into my own lecture, let me ask you, did you tell Marcellus about Klaus' plans for Papa Tunde?" Elijah asked lightly.

"Aye, so what? He asked me. I told him where the meet was. Was it a secret?" Kol asked with an attitude.

"Did it occur to you that Marcel would go to the dock to join in on the action and see me deliver the severed heads of Papa Tunde's twins to the father before Niklaus decapitated him?" Elijah asked dryly.

Kol started trying to light a cigar and started laughing hysterically.

"No, brother, that scenario did not occur to me! He went to the docks? Why would the little brat do something so daft? Bloody fu-," Kol began.

Elijah took Kol's cigar and threw it out the window, he grabbed his brother and threw him over his left knee quickly. The driver was steering the horses outside the cab, so there was a small amount of privacy.

Kol's head was spinning and before he could process what was happening, he felt a series of searing spanks to his behind and sit spots. Because of the cramped area, Kol's couldn't move his legs and could only gasp as Elijah vigorously swatted the seat of his trousers as hard as he could. Only after Elijah was breathless and his hand was numb did he stop. Kol was in shock and tears were dripping down his face.

Elijah sat him back firmly on the other seat of the small cab and promised, "That is just a preview of the spanking you have coming to you, little brother. You know you are forbidden from Storyville and you go and stay there for three days! I hope that sobered you up a little."

"Elijah, I-," Kol started with one hand rubbing his backside and another rubbing his face. Elijah glare stopped him. He handed him a handkerchief and Kol took it.

Kol let out a soft whine and tried to shift to find a comfortable position. Elijah wanted to continue to lecture him, but he knew that Kol's bottom had to be stinging fiercely. Kol was wiping away silent tears and looking out the window, anywhere but at his older brother. He knew Elijah was furious and he could easily get smacked again if he acted up in the slightest way.

Elijah paid the driver a generous amount and then compelled him to forget them. He grabbed Kol's arm tightly and marched him inside. Elijah took a deep breath. He realized he was being rough with Kol, Elijah needed to calm down. Kol was home now and safe. As soon as they got inside the compound, he stopped and turned to him.

"Oh, Kol. I got really scared when I smelled all the wolves in that place. I thought for a second that maybe something happened to you," Elijah confessed pulling Kol into a tight embrace.

"Sorry, Elijah," Kol said crying a little into his shoulder. He hadn't realized he was gone for three days.

Klaus stepped into the courtyard, "The prodigal brother returns. Where were you?"

Kol stepped back from Elijah and dried his eyes, "Storyville."

Klaus nodded,"You smell like you were in a whorehouse for a week. I'm assuming you didn't eat anything."

Kol shook his head, "No, Nik."

"I'll arrange a bath for you and a supper tray brought up," Klaus said putting his arm on Kol's shoulder. He had been ready to tear into him but he noticed the tear streaks and the stiff walk and he figured Elijah must have warmed him up pretty good on the way home.

"Go up to your room, Kol. We'll be up," Elijah assured him gently now.

After Kol headed up, Elijah turned to Klaus and sighed.

"Niklaus, that whorehouse he was in was crawling with wolves. He was had been smoking opium and the bill was outrageous! I spanked him in the cab until my hand went numb. He swears he didn't know that Marcel would go to the docks. I believe him. But he disobeyed me about Storyville," Elijah said.

"Disobeyed you? I specifically told him not to set foot there at all. So then he goes on a three day bender. Please, brother, let me handle this one," Klaus insisted.

"Are you sure you are not too angry, Niklaus? When I left you were in a state," Elijah reminded him.

Klaus bowed his head, "I'm sorry I didn't go with you and that I spoke to you like that. Between worrying about Marcel and Kol sometimes I feel like keeping them safe is an impossible task."

"Niklaus, I am glad you were not there as the wolves seemed in a hostile move. They may have seen it as an act of war. I don't feel like our issues with them have ended, but perhaps just begun. You will impress upon our baby brother that he stay out of Storyville, I assume?" Elijah asked.

"I will try. He looked so young and vulnerable when you brought him in, scared. I hate to see him like that. What was he thinking going there?" Klaus ranted.

"I have no idea," Elijah replied.

"I'll take care of him," Klaus promised.

Elijah sighed, "Niklaus?"

"Yes, brother," Klaus said.

"Please don't be too hard on him. Find out why he left," Elijah said with his back still to him.

"I will, Elijah," Klaus promised.

Kol sunk into the bathwater. He could still smell the twins on him even after scrubbing with the soap. It was funny to him that a few hours ago, he had been having the time of his life. His backside ached from Elijah's impromptu hiding on the way home. He wouldn't be surprised if he got the switch tonight. He knew he had been pushing it, but he wasn't sure why.

One of the maids knocked on the door, "It's your supper, sir."

"Thank you. You can just leave it on the table," Kol said.

"Master Klaus said that you can feed off me if you desire," she said offering her wrist to him.

"No thank you, luv. I ate earlier," Kol smiled.

The maid left. Kol didn't typically turn down blood from the vein but he had fed quite a lot at the bordello, off the girls. He got out of the bath and put on his pajamas. Kol wasn't that hungry, but ate some of the food off of the tray. Then, he sat on waited, growing more nervous about his upcoming punishment. Yet another thing he feared, almost more, is that his brothers would not show up at all. Maybe they did not care. Perhaps Nik would just dagger him in his sleep.

"Brother, forgive my delay, I had a meeting with some members of the human faction. They grow more concerned about our wolf friends by the hour," Nik said coming in and shutting the door.

Kol was alarmed, "Really? Brother, I am not really sure what is going on with all that, I apologize for my extended absences, but we've been to Storyville together before."

"Yes, but Kol, I warned both you and Marcel to stay away. Just the other day, Elijah said he did also," Klaus reminded him.

"Nik, I swear, I did not think it was so serious. I should not have disobeyed you," Kol admitted.

"I have to admit, brother, that I was vexed that you told Marcel about the Papa Tunde meet. He ran out there and witnessed the whole thing. He became upset and I had to punish him also for disobeying me," Klaus said.

"Niklaus, I swear to you. He asked me and I answered never thinking that he would run to the docks. If I knew, I would have stopped him. Please believe me," Kol begged.

"Thank you, brother. I do believe you. I'm sorry for doubting you. But you know I'm going to have to thrash you for the Storyville incident. Elijah said the place stunk of wolves. Kol, my first instinct is to give you three nights of a warm backside for all the worry you caused. Your sister was beside herself from day one," Klaus said smoothing back Kol's hair.

Kol just looked down and nodded. He certainly didn't want to be punished for three nights in a row, but he was ashamed to argue against it. He felt silly in his bed clothes, about to be spanked, when his brother was fully dressed to begin with.

"However," Klaus continued,"you are safe now. I think we can take care of this all tonight. How about we guess this over with and then we can talk?" Klaus said going over to move a wooden chair from the table and turn it around.

Klaus sat down and braced his left leg against the bed.

"Come now, brother, I'll just use my hand tonight. But if make me chase you, I'm going to fetch something nasty from the kitchen to whack you with," Klaus smiled.

"Ha, lovey jest. I am coming," Kol dragged his feet a little. He already felt babyish in his pajamas, but now getting another hand spanking seemed more embarrassing.

When Kol got near Klaus, Klaus reached out and grabbed him.

"These are coming down. I'll leave your drawers up for now," Klaus said unbuttoning Kol's cotton pants and pulling them down to his knees.

Klaus bent Kol over so his hands went down to the floor. Kol's feet also touched the floor. Klaus patted his cloth covered backside.

"Tell me what you did wrong, little brother," Klaus said patting his backside a little firmer.

"I disappeared and went to Storyville for a few days alone," Kol said staring at his hardwood floors.

Smack! Smack! Smack!

"Three days to be exact," Klaus added. He was smacking him from cheek to cheek slowly, but very firmly.

Crack! Crack! Crack!

"I'm sorry. You know Elijah already spanked me hard on the way home," Kol gasped as the first smacks were very strong.

"Good, because you better not do it again. Elijah also almost had a bloody heart attack when he saw the bill," Klaus said lightening the swats.

Kol winced as the sting of the smacks were building up. He was trying to keep still, but as Klaus began to swat him repeatedly across both cheeks in the same place, he began to squirm. Klaus lowered the spanks to the curve of Kol's backside from the center of each cheek to cheek until he was rocking his hips and starting to cry out.

"Owww, ouch, okay, brother. I am learning a lesson here," Kol gasped as Klaus began to paddle down on Kol's sit spots hard.

Whack! Whack! Whack! Whack!

"Good, Kol. Why am I doing this? Do I enjoy putting you over my knee?" Klaus said giving him a little break.

"No, sir. You love me and you don't want me to put myself in danger," Kol cried out.

"Yes, dear boy, that is true. Lift up. I'm going to bare your backside. You're doing well. Then, it's all over," Klaus promised as he slipped down Kol's cotton drawers to his knees.

"Nik, please," Kol heard himself blurt out as the cool air touched his warming behind. Klaus patted his backside and took note of the pinkish hue.

"I am going to start now. You will feel better after," Klaus murmured.

Klaus tightened his hold on Kol's waist with his left arm and started spanking Kol's backside briskly in a random pattern. He kept swatting in a steady pattern. Kol started kicking his feet against the floor trying to dissipate the sting. When that didn't work, he tried to rock his hips and get some relief from the relentless drubbing he was taking.

"I'm s-sorry, no more, Nik. It burns. I will not do it again. No more whores, I swear. I will pay Elijah back. P-please," Kol begged.

"A little bit more, baby brother," Klaus said using his wrist to smack the the top of Kol's thighs. He was hitting him hard, but the steady smacks had built up into an unbearable fire and Kol finally broke.

Heavy, sorrowful sobs, came out and tears dropped to the floor. Klaus decided to give him four more hard smacks across both cheeks and then end it.

"Okay, okay, all done," Klaus said. He pulled up Kol's drawers carefully.

"Up now," Klaus said. He stood him up and Kol's hand went back to his backside to try to rub some of the sting out. Kol's face was a mess of tears and his nose was running. Kol reached back and grabbed a wash cloth to wipe his face. Kol pulled him his pants and let Klaus wipe his face.

Klaus sat on the bed and kicked off his shoes.

"Come here so we can talk," Klaus said holding out his arms.

Kol gingerly sat on the bed and Klaus held him, "Tell me why you left."

Kol sobbed, "I'm sorry, Nik. I don't know what's going on. I was out drinking and the next I know Elijah is in the room."

"Baby brother, you cannot do this to us again. We love you so much. Something is brewing with the wolves, I do not know what, but I do not want you in the middle of it when it hits okay," Klaus said.

"I won't, Niklaus. I swear it. Can I go tell Elijah I'm sorry?" Kol asked.

"Brother, I'm right here," Elijah said coming in.

"Do not worry, Elijah, I hardly tapped his misbehaving behind, right Kol?" Klaus laughed.

"It smarted, but I will admit that I have had worst hidings before. Though, brothers, I know I deserved much worse this time. I am sorry for any trouble I caused," Kol said sitting up. He winced at the added pressure on his rear. Elijah said on the side of the bed and opened his arms. Kol leaned over and hugged him.

"I'm sorry for spanking you so hard in the cab," Elijah said kissing him on the head and rubbing his back.

Kol became emotional, "I don't like it when you get mad at me. I shouldn't vex you so often."
"Stop, you have always been full of mischief and fun. It gets you into trouble, but we always take care of that," Elijah started.

"But no more Storyville, Kol. From now on, we're all on full alert. All of us," Klaus said rubbing Kol's back.

Elijah kissed him one last time, "Okay, time for bed. I know one more person who wants to say goodnight. She might wallop your behind soundly when she finds out where you were. Fair warning."

"Good night. And Elijah, I will pay you back, just give me a few weeks," Kol ventured.

"Brother, your safe return was all I wanted," Elijah said as he and Klaus left.

Kol rubbed his backside for moment and lay on his side. The throbbing was turning into a hot itch.

"Kol Mikaelson! Where in the devil have you been?" Rebekah scolded.

"Sister, I am sorry. I can't tell you. My backside is sore enough already," Kol moaned.

Rebekah sat on the edge of the bed, "By not telling me, you are telling me you were with some harlot. I'm assuming Nik and Elijah both spanked you hard enough that you shalln't do this again."
"Aye, Elijah whaled on me in the cab and Nik, you know, the regular way," Kol blushed.

"Good. Don't ever do that again. I mean it, Kol," Rebekah said.

"I will not, sister. I am sticking close to home. Too many wolves and freakish witches out there for me anymore," Kol assured her.

"Yes, it seems like there are many out there waiting to cause mischief. We can bloody well do that here at home," Rebekah laughed.

"Indeed, little sister, goodnight," Kol said unable to avoid rubbing a little more.
