Chronicle 3: A New Wave
Now, let's start off from the top. You have completed that Quest you received a few days ago, right? Well, we will get to that. The only way to complete it is to have the Gamer Ability intact. Naofumi, too. One moment, please…
Then, I felt my body start to writhe as I groaned in pain, sinking to my knees. Naofumi did the same and the pain lasted for a few seconds. I groaned and stood up after the pain went away. Naofumi muttered as he rubbed his head and groaned. I blinked and muttered as I cracked my neck.
"Well, that was painful. So, I have that Gamer Ability?" I said as I rubbed the back of my head.
Correct. The Gacha Coins are connected to the Gamer Ability. They allow you to use then and get whatever you want.
"But, Neptune could use them perfectly. Does she have the Gamer Ability?" I asked him and he nods his head.
Like I said before, that Neptune is a copy… A copy of MY Neptune, who also have the Gamer Ability. Only those who have the Gamer Ability can use the coins.
"…" I processed what he said and he chuckled while nodding his head.
Plus, there is one thing I do want you to have: Here, hold still please…
Suddenly, my lower back felt like it was on fire. I flinched and grunted in pain as a long black tail grew out behind me. I looked back at the tail and blinked at it in confusion.
Tada! You are now Half-Saiyan, like your other selves! You're welcome! Interestingly, your tail is black while the others are brown.
"Others?! What are you talking about?! Who are you?!" I asked in confusion and he laughed at that, "Are you laughing?!"
Actually, yes… You don't really recognize my voice? Or my mannerisms of speech? It should sound really familiar…
What is he… Wait, let me calm down and listen. He sounds just like me, albeit a little older. Is this…
"Wait, are you me?!" I asked in shock and the silhouette came closer to reveal an older version of myself. He smirked at me and nods his head while nodding his head.
Yep. The Prime version of you, rather. Multiverse Theory?
"Ah. Multiverse Theory, I get it," I said as I nodded my head and scratched the back of my head, "I think I understand a little on what's going on here. You are pretty much like Paradox from Ben 10 Alien Force, aren't you?
Keeping an eye on the multiple James across the multiverse? Yep. You are pretty sharp. This other James I was talking to was pretty shocked with the news I gave him. Then again, he was with the Konosuba group and some extras.
"Oh, that's gonna be an adventure and a half. I hope he isn't beating up Kazuma," I said and my Prime self laughed, "He is, isn't he?"
Nah, he actually is good friends with Kazuma. In fact, he is practically dating Darkness. Not confirmed yet, but I assure you… It will happen. Anyway, I should let you know how things will work now. Since you practically hijacked the meeting, you and Naofumi are on Aultcray and Malty's shit list. And not in the way you expected… Since you exposed their lie to the public, the opinion would sway to you guys and that will have positive impacts on your journey. However, it will have a cost of bad things happening on your journey, like guards continuously chasing you both. I advise using the Gacha Coins sparingly to minimize your damage. What I mean is in order to survive, you gotta try to one up the competition. Naofumi, take these.

Like my counterpart, these will benefit you greatly. Even if you aren't an anime weeb like myself, you will get a kick out of this. The weapons you will receive will end up benefitting your party as well as yourself. Best part: You can use the weapons you receive this way however you like. The Shield will not register it as a weapon and neither will Pandora.
Really?! So, Pandora can't scan it and copy it?! Well, that sucks. That'd be the downside of using Gacha Coins. The upside is that I can use different weapons that aren't part of the arsenal that is Pandora. Cool!
In total, I gave you 30 Coins in all Naofumi. Use them sparingly, like I said. Now, James… Here. Your rewards and bonus rewards.
Suddenly, the same Quest pops up in front of my face and I looked at it in full. There was different text printed there, now.

Quest Description: Good work, kid! You managed to pull it off, albeit a bit hairy there in the end! Here are your spoils!

Oh, man! Score! Those bonus rewards are great! Even more Gacha Coins and EXP, as well as 2 of Mutaito's Gi! I had an idea, at that moment. I could have Bradley wear this to help him grow and give the Chi-Chi costume to Stella. At least this isn't the Kid Chi-Chi costume. Ugh! Anyway, I collected the Rewards and looked at my Prime self onscreen.
These costumes are color and weight customizable… You can set the weight to however you want. It can benefit you greatly on your journey. You might have to be several steps ahead of your adversaries at all times. They will be pulling out all the dirty tricks to try and stop you. So, be careful. That's all the time I have… But, you can contact me anytime. Oh, and Naofumi. Word of advice: Get some team members that can fight for you. Going all alone can not be good for you. Ta!
The line cut off and I got another notification on my party levels.

So, from the 20 I had before… I got 220, so that makes 240. And, I got 30 more. So, that makes 270 Gacha Coins in total. Jeez, that is a lot we can spend. But, I have to remember to spend these sparingly. Don't wanna get any unwanted attention, do we?
"All right, Naofumi. We have to separate for now… But, I can lead you to where you can get your first teammate. You can trust me on this, okay." I told him and he nods his head, "There is a slave trader nearby… But, you will need to wait until nighttime to find him. I suggest heading out of the city to grind your levels before you go meet him. That way, you can get a better choice in a companion." To be honest, I didn't see Raphtalia when I was there getting Bradley and Stella. So, maybe she shows up around this time to get sold to Naofumi. Now that time had been sped up, it's gonna be a bit iffy to tell how long until the plot catches me off guard. So, I have to play it by ear.
"All right… What are you gonna do?" Naofumi asked me as he nods his head and pats me on the shoulder.
"I have to get back to my party. I told them I would meet up with them on the outskirts," I told him as I turned away from him, "How about this? When the waves hit, we meet up at the town square. Until then, keep your levels up and your eyes in the back of your head at all times." He held out his hand.
"I wanna thank you for saving my ass back there. I don't know what would have happened if you hadn't hijacked that trial," he told me with a smile. That was nice to see him smile. I genuinely like Naofumi as a character, so I wanted him to take this world on with the team he needed. And, he could possibly get an extra, just in case. I turned to him and shook his hand.
"Like I said, don't mention it. Godspeed to you, Naofumi Iwatani," I told him and put on my cloak's hood, slinking into the shadows once again.
"Godspeed to you too, James," Naofumi said and I chuckled at that before slithering into the darkness.
-Scene Skip; A Couple Minutes Later-
I popped out of the shadows in another alleyway near the edge of town and came out, still having the hoodie over my head. I looked around and saw my party waiting nearby. I went over to them and took off my hood. Bradley and Stella came over to me and hugged me.
"Hey, sorry for the wait. Good and bad news moment. Which one do you wanna hear first?" I said to them as Neptune and Myra came over to me.
"Bad news," Myra said as she took off her hood slightly.
"Looks like we have to leave town immediately. The king isn't gonna cut me any slack now," I told her and she raised an eyebrow, "That ties into the good news: I was able to catch them in a lie about Naofumi raping Malty. It was actually fairly simple if you watch enough crime shows like I do."
"Did he mention anything about me?" Myra asked me and I sighed while nodding my head.
"He doesn't know when to take a damn hint, honestly. I'll explain everything that happened and what happened afterwards," I told her and looked at Neptune, "By the way, I said hi." Neptune raised an eyebrow and then gasped at what I meant.
"Is my James all right?! Has he been eating well?!" Neptune said as she grabbed my arm. Myra looked at me and I held up my hand.
"Yeah, he is fine. Don't worry," I told her and she sighed with relief, "I was wondering why you didn't recognize an alternate me just by looking at me."
"Well, you know me…" Neptune said as she rubbed the back of her head while sticking out her tongue cutely, "Good old Nep."
"Yeah, good old Nep. Anyway, let's go," I said and we quickly moved to the fields outside of the kingdom.
-Scene Skip-
When we made it to the outskirts of the town, we were immediately attacked by the Balloon monsters that attacked Naofumi in the anime. Myra stood back with the kids beside her while Neptune and I went ahead and started attacking the monsters left and right.
" Dual Edge! " Neptune called as she double slashed a Balloon monster on her left and cut it into ribbons. I cut my index finger on the ring on my ring finger and let a drop of blood trail down my hand. The trail turns into a blood tendril that smacked the Balloon monsters around me away. I used Pandora to call out a Morningstar from the briefcase and drove the weapon onto another Balloon monster, popping it. I jumped back as another Balloon Monster leaped at me.
" Chaos Fireball! " I called as I held out my right hand and shot out a black fireball at the monster and incinerated it. I stopped and back kicked with my right foot, kicking a Balloon away from me and into a tree. A black fireball incinerated it and I looked over at Myra holding up a black magic circle in front of her left hand. She nods to me and I smiled at her.
"Master, we wanna help!" Bradley told me and I looked at him.
" I didn't wanna have them fight just yet… But, Bradley seems to want to fight. Well, I can get him a weapon… But, all I have is Laevateinn and Green Heart's Spear. Okay, well… I hope I don't regret this!" I thought as I summoned out Green Heart's Spear.
"Here! Catch!" I called and tossed him the Spear. Strangely enough, the Spear shrunk to about his height and he caught it in his left hand and his eyes changed to green as a green aura surrounds him.
"Master, stand back! Sylhet Spear! " he called as he spun his Spear at his left side and a green conjuring circle appeared next to him. A large Spear shot out of the circle and pierced several Balloons as I pulled Neptune to safety.
"Wha- That was Vert's move! Is she here, too?!" Neptune called as she looked around. I shook my head and pointed to Bradley as he stabs a Balloon with the blade end of the Spear and kicked another away.
" I didn't think he would have Muscle memory on fighting, nor did I think about would adapt that fast to a weapon," I thought as I back punched an incoming Balloon that was coming towards me. Bradley stayed in front of Stella as she looked around, looking like she wanted to help her brother. She looked over at me and I sighed.
"Damn it, all right. Watch each other's backs, you 2!" I called as I called Laevatein to my side and tossed it to her. Like Green Heart's Spear before it, it shrunk to adjust to Stella's size and weight. The Blade ignited into flames and Stella furrowed her brow, small flames also erupting around her body. Did she subconsciously activate… A few Balloon Monsters bounced towards her and tried to tackle her, but were burned immediately to cinders by her flames.
"I will not any of you monsters hurt my family again!" Bradley called as he slammed his hand onto the ground, " Gale Force Wall! " Winds kicked up from under his feet, surrounding him in a wall of Razor sharp wind. The Balloons that got too close to Bradley got eviscerated by the winds. Myra looked at the children as they helped clear out the monsters. She then looked at me and I shrugged my shoulders.
"I didn't think they were that nice! I like it!" I said and Bradley released the wall of sharp winds around him as Stella cuts down more Balloons around her with a single swing with her sword. Bradley kept his hand in the ground as he looked at me.
"Master, I want you guys to get back! Stella, follow my lead!" Bradley called to his sister. She looked at him and placed her hand on the ground.
"Nep, follow me! Myra, get back!" I called and we rushed a few feet away from the twins as more balloons ran at them.
" Winds of Helheim, hear my call… Tear my enemies to shreds. HELWIND BLADES OF CHAOS! " Bradley chanted as he raised his hand from the ground and massive gusts of sharp wind surrounded him and sliced the incoming balloons around him.
" O Flames Of Purgatory, hear my call and burn my enemies to ash! HELLFIRE DRAGONBORN! " Stella called as she also raised her hand from the ground and massive Pillars of fire surrounded her and burned the remaining Balloons to Ash. When there were no more monsters around us, the area around the twins looked like a battle zone. Myra, Neptune, and myself looked on in surprise. Then, a bunch of numbers in the 5 digits scrolled into my view. It was our EXP! It stopped around the 20000 mark and another screen pops up, showing our levels.

Okay, that was some crazy anime awakening power shit I just witnessed. It is as if their past lives had awakened inside of them or something… Whatever it is, I am gonna have them access that at all times! They need that power! Bradley and Stella came over to us and Stella blushed as the flames died down around her.
"Sorry about that. Dunno what came over us," Bradley told us and I pat the kids on the heads, "Master?"
"You did well, you 2. We can work on getting you both to harness those powers," I told them and they smiled warmly at me. They looked at the weapons I handed them and started to hand them back to me.
"Keep them. In fact, let's get you both into something more… Comfortable. Hold on." I took the outfits that I got from the Quest from my inventory and equipped them to the kids. (Bradley wore the Mutaito's Gi colored White and Green while Stella wore the Chi-Chi Costume colored red and pink.) They looked at their new costumes and admired them.
"Aww! They look so cute!" Neptune said as hearts appeared in her eyes.
"Where did you get those clothes from, James?" Myra asked me curiously and I stood up while turning to her.
"From the Quest," I said simply and she nods her head, "Come on. Let's collect these loose materials and continue on." Myra and I picked up the scraps and suddenly some of the scraps wrapped around the briefcase. I looked on in confusion as the briefcase changed color from brown to a dark orange with the facial features of the Balloon monster appearing on the front of the briefcase.
" Damn. Finally, I can speak my mind! " a voice said out of nowhere and I looked around. I looked down at the briefcase and it looked back up at me.
" Ah, you're my new master… To be honest, you don't look like much. But, I have dealt with worse. The best one I have dealt with was a silver haired man, and he wouldn't really stop making stupid puns, " Pandora said in a gruff male voice and I fell back in shock as the others looked on in surprise and shock.
" What, do I have something in my mouth? "
"You're… TALKING?! How are you talking?!" I asked in horror as I picked up the briefcase and held it in front of me, "I thought you would be…"
" Silent? Nah, just needed the right materials to help me change, " Pandora said and yawned, " But, MAN… It was a chore, not being able to say anything at all. How long have I been asleep? Who is in charge? " He has been asleep?
"My family, the Melromarc family," Myra said as she stepped up to the briefcase, "And, not well I may add."
" MELROMARC?! WHAT HAPPENED TO THE YUUTO FAMILY?! " Pandora roared in anger.
"Usurped about 200 years ago in a great war," Myra said and Pandora flinched at that.
" 200… 200 years ago?! Holy fuck, that is a long time to be asleep! " Pandora yelled in shock and I blinked at him, " That means the other Legacy aren't around at this time… " There's that Legacy Hero thing again. What is that?
"Excuse me, but what are the Legacy Heroes? I have been hearing that as of late," I said as I motioned for my party to get closer. They did and Pandora looked at me.
" Well, my memory is a bit hazy for being asleep for a while… But, I can tell you what I know about them. Listen close, " Pandora said and we nodded our heads, " First of all, I should mention the 4 Cardinal Heroes: The Sword, Spear, Bow, and Shield. Those guys are supposed to be the protectors of the world, fighting back the Waves like in prophecy. However, there are other types of heroes out there that have different types of weapons that come from different worlds that have different names here. Me, I am one of those weapons. I am a proxy of Pandora, a weapon from the Devil May Cry series. There are 9 more like me out there from other worlds that are proxies of different legendary weapons. Our roles are to protect the 4 Cardinal Heroes from dying as well as stop the Goddess of Destruction from wiping out all life. That's all I know about that subject… Sorry. If I had more time, I will divulge more info to you. " Well, that is a lot to take in… This goes further than I thought… There is a Goddess of Destruction now? 10 Legacy Heroes? Proxies of legendary weapons from other worlds?
"You know, I was not expecting you to start talking. I knew you could make new weapons if you copy them," I said, "The material thing is… Kinda new, as well. Now that I think about it, you have some properties of Naofumi's shield. Taking in materials to morph yourself?" I immediately then realized what was happening… It was just like Naofumi's shield! So, that means I can get other materials to make Pandora stronger. Hmm… I glanced at Bradley and Stella as they poked Pandora on the sides.
"It feels like those balloons we popped, Master…" Stella said as she looked at me.
" Well, yes. I am using their skin to make a face for myself, " Pandora said as he glanced at her.
"Okay… Let's move for now. We can talk on the way," I said seriously as I clipped Pandora on my belt, "Hey, Pandora? Is it possible to give you stronger materials? Because the Balloon monsters didn't have sturdy enough skin."
" Either Magic Crystals or Dragon Scales can do the trick ," Pandora said as he glanced at the kids. They blushed as they hugged their arms.
"Magic Crystals, then," I said quickly, "I ain't plucking no one's scales. I can tell that would be extremely uncomfortable." Both kids nods their heads and Pandora nods.
" Fair enough. Magic Crystals can be found in the Cerberus Catacombs, " Pandora said seriously and I glanced at Myra, who pulls out a map to search for the place mentioned.
"Cerberus Catacombs… Yeah, about 60 miles north of us. The road also leads to Lute Village, a small settlement outside the kingdom. Damn, should've bought a Dragon or Filolial egg. Ah well, we can wait until after the 1st wave." Ah, like Filo. Okay, yeah… Maybe that would have been a smart idea to invest in that. Oh well… Suddenly, there was a low beep and I saw my screen pull up in front of my face. There was a Quest that appeared in front of me.
Main Story Quest: A Place To Call Home…
Quest Description: Now that you got a good team for now, it's time to start looking into a base of operations for your crew. Luckily, there is one in a tower… But, you will have to look into that. Be sure to level up a lot before going to the tower!
Quest Requirements: Clear Cerberus Catacombs; Find Spectral Tower and Clear It; Defeat Firika, the Succubus Princess

Quest Failure: Succubus Food
Well, that's morbid. Wait a second! What the hell?! Why do I recognize that name? Firika? Ohh… It's from a hentai, that's why… So, that means that I might have to fight her by her means or something like that.
"What's a succubus, Master?" Bradley asked me as he looked at me. I forgot that my screen can sometimes be seen by the others. I blushed heavily ad I moved the screen away.
"Umm… Uhh…" I stammered as I looked at him. Myra blinked in surprise as she also saw the screen.
"Why did I get a Quest like that? I don't understand…" I muttered to myself as Neptune had her trademark Nep Troll face on her face.
"You aren't a virgin, aren't you?" Neptune asked me as she pats me on the back. I gulped and nodded my head.
"YOU ARE?! HUH?!"
"Don't scream that! Jeez…" I said as I looked at her. Neptune scratched the back of her head as she looked at me from head to toe.
"I could have sworn that you would be the type to be swimming in the puh," Neptune said and I couldn't help but snort at that.
"Did he teach you that word?" I asked her and she nods her head while smiling at me, "Welp, that explains a lot…" Neptune pinched my cheek and giggled.
"I can help you prepare…" Neptune said and Myra punts her comically into a tree.
"Myra! How rude!" I told her and she hmphed while turning away, "You think I can help this?! Shit!"
"It's inevitable, Myra… Stars…" Neptune said as she pulled her head out off the tree and giggled as she was dizzy, swaying her head back and forth while stars twirled around her head.
"Anyway, let's go. I am already fearing for my life…" I muttered as I walked ahead of them and took Neptune by her hand, pulling her along. Myra sighed and ushered the kids along with her.
-Scene Skip; An Hour Later; Lute Village-
Our group made it to the next village and I muttered to myself as I began to ponder how we were gonna capture this tower and how the fight with Firika will go. To be honest, I was afraid… My first time will be with a succubus. Most guys would simp at that… But, hearing what a succubus can do to a man unwillingly and willingly at the same time… Yeah, that isn't for me. But, I will figure out how to deal with it. Well, anyway… We need to get to the Catacombs before nightfall to get a better chance of getting out of the Catacombs and reaching the tower and claim it. I looked at Myra and she looked back at me, sighing.
"I'm sorry. I'm a little frustrated… If there was one type of creature I do not like, it's a Succubus," Myra told me and folded her arms, "They tend to be… Really aggressive when they are dominant in anything. I do not like that mentality, it can get someone killed." I blinked at her and nodded my head.
"Weird question, but have you ever met a Succubus before?" I asked her and she nods her head, "How many?"
"1… And, she killed my butler a while back. She is dead, so I don't have to worry about her," Myra said sourly, "I treasured Manuel a lot… He was like a father to me more that my own father." Ugh… Yeah, it's justified now. I hope that Firika wasn't related to that Succubus that was put to death…
"I met someone close to a succubus back home…" Neptune spoke up as she looked at Myra, "Although, she is nice once you get to know her." I think she is mentioning Plutia, right? Rather, her Goddess form Iris Heart? Well, that can be a good comparison, too. Yikes, don't wanna tell her though.
"You sure about that, Nep? That's treading some thin ice there," I told her softly as I leaned in close to her ear. She gave me a sideways glance and cleared her throat.
"Right… Well, how are we gonna level up quickly? Anyone have a plan?" Neptune asked as she looked from me and back at Myra. I thought long and hard about that… And, the only choice we had was to go and fight some high level boss to do that. Otherwise, we would have to fight monsters like we just did. Well, I could just cheat the system and hope for the best… Ah, fuck it. If it bites me in the ass, so be it. Let's see what I can pull this time… I pulled out the Gacha Coins case and held it in my left hand, looking at it carefully.
"You're gonna do a pull? What are you hoping for?" Myra asked me carefully as I sighed.
"That my high Luck stat gives us what we need. Otherwise, we do this the traditional way, which I don't mind. Any quarrels?" I asked them as I pulled out a pair of gold coins. No one objected as I went to the side, out of sight to initiate the pull.
"All right… I would really like something that can boost EXP, please… Something that I can use…" I muttered as I held out the coins. The coins disappeared into thin air and the slot machine screen appeared in my eyes, initiating the pull. The left slot lands on Legendary Rare and Party Members. Really? Then, a white pillar of light appeared in front of me and a man wearing an orange Gi with the symbol of the Demon clan on the left side of his Gi walked out of the pillar of light. He had short black hair and a scar going over his left eye. Oh my God, WHAT?! IT WAS FUTURE GOHAN FROM DRAGON BALL Z: HISTORY OF TRUNKS! HOW?! I nearly pass out at this and he looked at me as I regained my composure.
"Hello. May I ask who you are and where I am?" Future Gohan asked me and I stammered over my words. This is legit one of my all time favorite iterations of Gohan in like, EVER. He is the epitome of badass. And, he has both of his arms, too! Yes!
"Ahem! Sorry, I lost my composure there, Son Gohan," I said and he raised an eyebrow at me, "My name is James Edward Scott-Naoko, and I am in need of your help. I am… Half-Saiyan, like you. I was brought to this world which is a whole lot different than the world you are used to… And, well you too. I am in need of training… Is it possible that you can help me out? I got others with me that also need the training." To be honest, I don't need another Pull… But, I wanna try for it anyway! I got fucking Future Gohan for a great training partner!
"If it's all the same to you, I was killed not too long ago. A voice told me I am needed elsewhere to aide in saving a world," Gohan told me as he looked at me, "I am sure it meant here… It also insured me that my home is gonna be protected by my student, Trunks, and will be okay." Must've been Prime me, giving him some closure.
"Yeah, I can confirm that. It's hard to explain, honestly… But, trust me. Things can be handled there," I told him earnestly and he smiled at me.
"Okay. Then, what do I need to do to help you out? What kind of training do you need to do? And, what kind of world is this?" Future Gohan asked me and I rubbed the back of my head.
"Well, I can only give you the info that I know," I said and he nods his head. I told him what has happened up to this point and left it up to Myra to fill in the gaps after I introduced him to the group. In that time, I checked his stats. Damn, I'm glad I did!

Ah, he only had Grade 1… That makes a lot of sense from my standpoint. Since he never really had time to train effectively, he never found out about levels beyond Grade 1, like Vegeta's Super Vegeta transformation or Mastered Super Saiyan. Hopefully, with me around as a Half-Saiyan now, he can get a sense of familiarity of training someone and getting stronger than before. I. AM. SO. EXCITED! My team is looking kinda nice for what I got, and I am damn proud of it! I just need time to get them adjusted with each other.
"I see. Well, I am not too excited to be fighting humans, but it sounds like the king isn't too fond of James or this Naofumi fellow," Future Gohan said as he looked at me when he said that, "Not like I would blame you for your situation. It also sounds like you lessened the blow for yourself. If you hadn't, your journey would have been that much harder."
"Yeah, I know. Aultcray will make life not so easy for us, now that I have exposed him and Malty for their deception. And, there is probably more down the line with that deception. We just need to be careful and get stronger to face it," I said as I folded my arms, "But, for now… I wanna do one more Pull. If it's something I can't use, I can give it to one of you guys."
"Hopefully, we can make use of whatever it is," Neptune said and I nodded my head. I pulled out 2 more Gacha Coins and initiated the slot machine to go. The 1st slot landed on Ultra Rare and Weapon. Oh… Then, a peculiar looking sword appeared in front of me and I took a closer look at it. I gasped when I realized what I was looking at it. The description appeared next to the sword and it confirmed my suspicions.
Weapon Name: Z-Sword
Rarity: Ultra Rare
Description: This sword was once used to seal away Elder Kai a long time ago by the God of Destruction, Beerus. Despite its size, it can be used as an amazing weapon in combat. When equipped, it unlocks the Mystic transformation for the wielder.
Benefits: Unlocks Mystic transformation, grants bonus EXP to party when held
Wielder: Hero or Dragon Ball Z character

Slapping that shit right on Gohan, immediately! I handed him the sword and a large holster appeared on his back as he took it. He held the heavy weapon in one hand and looked at it carefully. Why did I hand it to Gohan, you ask? He needs it more than I do… When he gets the Ultimate form, he can grow immensely powerful and that is beneficial for everyone.
"It's something you can use to get stronger. Do you feel any different?" I asked him and he looked at himself while sheathing the sword.
"Yeah… What happened? I feel… Stronger. Stand back for me," he told me and the others and we stood back a few feet. Gohan let out a loud power up cry and a burst of white aura surrounds his body, spiking up his hair and what appeared to be white electricity sparking around the aura materialized around his body. He looked at his body again and I nodded my head while folding my arms.
"Ultimate Future Gohan is born, ladies and gentlemen," I said to myself, "I have only seen this happen once in a video game… Shin Budokai: Another Road, I think?" Future Gohan came up to me and pats me on the shoulder.
"I gotta ask… How did you know I would have this power?" he asked me a valid question and I sighed.
"Okay, well… It's actually a transformation known by the Kais," I told him simply, "It Boosts your overall base power, if I'm remembering correctly."
"Kais?" he asked me in confusion and I slapped my forehead.
"Right, you don't know about the Kais yet. My bad… I'll explain on the way. We are gonna be fighting monsters along the way to level up," I told him and he nods his head, going back to base form, "It's gonna be long and convoluted. Be prepared…" I motioned for the others to follow me as we went into Lute Village to rest up.
-Scene Skip; The Next Day; Inn-
We had found a place to rest in Lute Village and decided to turn in for the day after we fought some monsters. Gohan had gotten the hang of fighting in this world and had listened to my full dramatization of the Kais and God's of Destruction, well from what I know about them in the Wiki. He took it rather well… And at the same time… He asked why I knew so much. Well, I couldn't really lie to him, so I told him everything. I left out the part that I was not from his world, but a different timeline altogether. One that knew of all the events that happened in his timeline and the Prime timeline of Dragon Ball Z. He was happy to hear that his family and friends were doing so well… And that Goku was alive again and Trunks will be the Future's protector. However, he is sad his whole timeline got erased by Zeno…In which I retorted that it wasn't all bad… Trunks and Mai probably found a place that they call home. I just don't know where… Also, while I told him all that… My party were intrigued I knew so much about Dragon Ball Z and the lore that they asked if I knew anything else. I told them that I couldn't divulge too much or things might happen that might hurt us. I do not want a butterfly effect that will end up killing one of my team members, especially not Future Gohan or Neptune. Anyway, the others went out into the village to get supplies for our trip while Gohan and I stayed behind to start on my Ki Training.
"I think we should get a head start on unlocking your Ki, James. It will be very beneficial for you down the road," Gohan told me as I sat cross legged on the bed I slept on, "First, let's start meditation. Close your eyes and free your mind. Let your power flow through you." I took a deep breath and closed my eyes, letting my mind wander. Then, I felt a small surge of power course through my veins as I felt a slight burning sensation on my outer body. It lasted for about a few minutes, growing in volume as I concentrated.
"There, that's the ticket! Your latent power is unlocking through your body… And, you seem to have a lot of it," he said and I opened my eyes to see a black aura surrounding me. The black aura turned into blue aura as I looked around again.
"Huh… Never seen that happen before," I muttered as I looked at the aura.
"Hmm… Must be different with each person," Gohan said as he folds his arms, "Well, that can be only be figured out with time. Now that we have unlocked your power, we can begin with basic training. That can take a while considering what Myra has said about the Waves and the time frame we have." Well, with that Quest coming up that we have to do… Hopefully, we can nip that training timetable problem in the bud. Plus, if I can get access to Ki, that can help me against Firika. Damn, I am DREADING that battle so much since I have no idea what she is gonna do to me…
"Well, I can get some martial arts training in before we head out to Cerberus Catacombs," I said as I looked at Gohan, "The Ki I can get a handle on since I unlocked it."
"It's not that simple," Gohan said as we left the room, "Ki isn't something to take lightly… If used incorrectly, you can have a lot of negative effects happening." Yeah, that's true.
"I am aware of that, Gohan… That's why I need a hands on approach with that," I told him and he raised an eyebrow at me, "If anything, I wanna try and feel the experience hit me as I am in battle so that I can get a better understanding of it. That's why I want to get through the dungeon as fast as we can… If there is a possibility that we can get a good training spot, it's in that tower."
"But, that is a big if, James. I wanna be sure you are ready," Gohan said and I nodded my head. Gohan's right… Better safe than sorry. Still, I wanna get this dungeon over with.
"All right. Well, we set out in a few days… That should be enough to get some basic martial arts training in," I told Gohan, in which he agrees, "I am a fast learner, after all." Then, the door opened and Myra steps into the room, holding a tray of food in her hands. She looked at the both of us and smiled at us as I landed on the bed and stood up straight.
"Hey, Myra. That your breakfast?" I asked her and she shook her head, coming over to me and handing me the tray.
"Neptune insisted that I treat you to breakfast… I was unfair to her and you yesterday. You had no control over what happened yesterday and I was wrong to get that angry at both you and her," Myra said as she looked at me softly and I smiled at her, understanding what she meant.
"Myra, it's fine. I already forgave you for what happened yesterday. It wasn't in anyone's control," I told her with a smile and she blushed at that, "Besides, I have to do this to ensure that we have a safe place to go back to. Going from Inn to Inn would be dangerous with our situation. We can be easily found out…" Then, Stella races into the room in a panic.
"Master, Bradley and Neptune are being attacked by guards! We have to go help!" Stella said and I quickly got to my feet.
"My point exactly. Some fuckers are gonna die today…" I said as my expression got serious, "Gohan, I must ask that you…"
"No need to explain. If the situation were different, I wouldn't get involved. But, this is our team so we have to help. Lead the way!" Gohan called and we followed Stella out the door.

-Another Chapter Done! Several things to note here: First, Firika. Okay, I was debating on her or Plutia being the boss of the Spectral Tower. But, I ultimately decided on Firika since I wanted to try my hand at bringing a hentai character into one of my stories. Look, don't give me that look… It's not gonna be a regular thing. Just wanted to try it one time… The tower will take a few chapters. Next, Future Gohan joining my ranks and me being Half-Saiyan: Future Gohan was an add on to my team at the last minute. Since Dragon Ball Z Kakarot has added that DLC where it shows the History of Trunks, it seemed to perfect for me to add him in here and pretty much give him his arm back. Plus, him teaching me will give me a better handling on my powers. Also, since this is part of the Jamverse continuity… My Prime Self is making all iterations of myself Half-Saiyan and have the Gamer Ability. Think of it being interconnected in a way… Next, Naofumi having the Gamer Ability? Planned from the start… I was gonna include him in the mix and have him have access to the tower whenever he wanted. When the tower is claimed, of course… Finally, Gohan having the Z-Sword? Actually, this was a reference to a What-If done by SmugStick named What If Gohan Trained After The Cell Games. A really great what if that you should check out. Now, I plan to have Firika join as a servant to me… But, I will treat her as an equal. How, you ask? Well, that will come later. Now, how do I want her and my battle to go? Don't know… But, I will figure it out. Anyway, with all that said… We will continue on to the next chapter. SONIK OUT! A/N.-
