Chapter 17 – Into the Time Chamber (Part 6)

[The Chamber – Day 21]

Out of void, the next lesson was upon our heroes. Drake finished off a water bottle before addressing his students, guests, and fellow teachers.

"Today, we're covering transformations. Within your use of ki, transformations. Sadly, as humans, you don't have the legendary transformations the Saiyans, the Nameks, or the Majins have. But you have three you can get…though we can't get you the third one. The first is a Power Stressed form." Drake said powering up to bulk up his body. "It can increase your power…at a cost."

"I'm assuming speed and stamina." Momo said.

"Right on the mark." Drake said beaming before returning to normal. "Good work."

"There's also a strain on the body." Izuku said writing it down.

"Yes, this form is bested used for enduring attacks or unleashing a devastating blast." Drake mused. "The next one is open to any race, and it ties to why we were teaching you ki control and tampering with your weights."

"The new weights we gave all of you when you when alter according to the user's progress. On top of that, the Chamber's gravity is 10 times stronger than Earth!" Jericho said getting jaw drops from unaware.

"Clever ruse. I had a feeling these adjusted themselves." Brit said.

"You knew?" Mineta asked.

"Sorry, Juicy. I did, but they asked me to keep quiet. Paid me well to do so." Brit said sheepishly.

"How much kilos?" Bakugo asked.

"Well, I'd say most of you are in the 100 kilos to 125 kilos range. I'd easily say you all can certainly fight and win against your canon sleeves without your quirks." Drake said. "Now let me get into it."

"From the Dragon World, it's most accessible transformation, the Kaio-ken, invented by the North Kai, the technique allows for the multiplication of one's base power level, strength, speed, and even sensory awareness greatly increase for an instant. It sounds fleeting, but an instant can make the difference between surviving another day or dying. This short burst of power will go beyond the body's normal maximum output comes at the cost of increasing the flow of Ki within your bodies, taxing it and requiring great skill and concentration to keep under control. The uprise of ki flowing with you could easily obliterate you. Even after proper control is met, prolonged use can and will cause intense muscle spasms, pain and weakness after prolonged use." Jericho said to the shock of the teachers. "What? I am perfectly capable of making detailed explanations. Drake's not the only one with a brain. We're a duo for a good reason."

"Do not underestimate Jericho." Aizawa mentally noted.

"Now, you will work to master Kaio-ken at base level. Don't try the multiplier right away." Albedo said glaring at Bakugo.

"I have heard it hurts the first go…like tearing a hymen." Tiff said getting a few of them to flinch.

"More like your veins got a cocktail of fire rushed through them…" Drake said. "But I believe in all of you!"

The results were telling. Some fizzled out immediately after an attempt, some could hold it for a few moments, and others were somewhat successful.

"Rumi, excellent. You're holding into it!" Drake said beaming as Rumi pulled off a few strikes.

Yagi deactivated his inwardly panting as his inside felt like he was on fire. Reminded him of the early days of learning One For All. Albedo handed him a towel and a canned drink which he graciously accepted.

"Thank you, young Tennyson." Yagi said breathing out in relief.

"Don't strain yourself too hard." Albedo said.

Rumi was zipping around using Kaio-ken to amplifly her quirk and body before deactivating it.

"Don't force it…we have the rest of the time here to grasp it. You can relax for now…because we are going to work on your ki control. Now we have a couple exercises for that." Drake said chuckling. "But we'll have to save the tree climbing and water walking for when we're in the chamber."

The leaf sticking method led to some interesting results as Mina's own kept melting, Shoto's were either freezing or burning; Denki's were fried by his electricity, and Bakugo's kept exploding.

"Mineta, you can't flub him by having your leaves be sticky." Jericho said peeling one off. "Tsuyu, I better not have a similar problem with you."

"Yes, Belladonna-sensei." Tsuyu said firmly.

It would be another hour before it was time for lunch, Albedo had made chilli, fries, fried chicken, and plenty of toppings for the fries. Albedo was wolfing down his chilli fries without any restraint or shame.

"Sato, thanks for making dessert." Albedo said between bites.

Rikido was taking out the brownies confident everyone was going to enjoy them.

"Jeeze, Albedo. You pile your chilli fries high. Peppers, onions, cheese…" Toru said as he ate.

"It's a bit of an addiction for him." Drake teased.

"It was a compulsion, but I don't mind the allure of chilli fries." Albedo said finishing it off. "Jericho, is the smoothie machine working?"

"Yeah, it's online. Here, it's your favorite." Jericho said giving one to Albedo. "And Drake, your passion fruit, mango, and cranberry one is on the counter."

Drake downed it.

"It's been literally 3 weeks in here…and on the outside…it's been a little over an hour. I wonder if anything important happened." Nemuri said.

"Nah, Harley would have alerted us. She's guarding from the outside." Drake affirmed. "But I want to say that you are all making excellent progress. I did have a basic outline of concepts, and you've managed to nail through most of the hard stuff. Going forward, we'll be dealing with a few other concepts."

"Namely, a few sub skills warpers must have. This is not going to be really combat training as more of a course of etiquee on customs, laws, and traditions." Jericho said getting a few groans. "Look, most of you don't realize, but the marination of warper energy in this chamber is going to have you ranking up quickly."

"She's right. I hit 6th rank yesterday." Tiff said surprising everyone.

"I did day before." Brit said. "And I sense Izuku did the same yesterday."

"You can sense a warper's rank by the feel of their warper energy. Most of you hit 5th rank today and didn't even realize it. Which means you will be able to make portals and/or travel to other universes with a bit more ease. We're teaching you this, so you don't piss off the wrong person or get yourself killed." Jericho said in a warning tone. "The idea of traveling to other universes hasn't crossed your mind."

"So can I travel to another universe and punch that world's Izuku?" Bakugo asked.

"Two Rare Candies to the first person to pun-"

WHAP! Bakugo was sent flying into the wall thanks to Tsuyu.

Drake tossed Tsuyu the two Rare Candies to which she fed one to Lantis and the other to Marina. Bakugo pulled himself up and stormed up to Tsuyu.

"That's it, Frog Breath. I…you know what, we settle this outside." Bakugo said. "Deathflame and Burnette have itching to fight."

"You know the rules, no Pokémon battles. So, settle it with a spar. No fatal blows or I will deal with you personally." Drake said.

Outside on the void, Tsuyu and Bakugo took to opposite sides as everyone else was nearby watching from a safe distance, some still eating and on lawn chairs.

"Kick her teeth in, Bakugo!" Deathflame cheered beating his chest.

"You got this, Tsuyu!" Kermie cheered.

"You two got three minutes, and the winner will be determined from myself, Jericho, Albedo, and Aizawa. Now…Hajime!" Drake said.

Bakugo wasted no time extending his hand and opening fire with a 'gatling gun' of energy blasts. The union of a machine gun and grenade launcher causing explosions across the board. Tsuyu made her move to dodge what she could not taking a chance to try to deflect the energy blasts lest they explode on her.

"Wind Style: Dragon Wave." Tsuyu said before punching the air with wind.

Her attack cleaved through the blast causing the explosions to kick up a large smoke cloud. Bakugo had ceased his attack to try to sense her. A tounge caught his wrist as something was incoming to strike. Bakugo caught the attack before headbutting the assailment only for it to turn into water.

"A clone? Where the fuck are you, Frog Bitch?" Bakugo said looking around. "I…got you."

She caught Tsuyu's fist only to see her smile and glow. Bakugo raised an eyebrow before Tsuyu blew up in his face revealing that was an exploding clone. That to Bakugo…was a grave insult.

He roared, powering up with his heated burnt orange battle aura blowing away the smoke revealing Tsuyu finishing the handsigns on a jutsu.

"Well, are you coming to get me or are you afraid of the first move?" Tsuyu taunted.

Bakugo unconsciously tapped into Shave to race forward only for Tsuyu to wordlessly using Great Wind Breakthough to stop him cold with a shockwave of wind before blowing him back.

"So, Tsuyu has been learning Wind jutsu?" Drake said interested.

"Yeah. She came to me and Shoto about it." Izuku said. "She wants to make Wind her second affinity."

"Smart move, she's hoping to tap into Ice jutsu." Jericho commended. "On top of that, Wind counters Fire."

What came next was straight up tight exchange of blows as Bakugo and Tsuyu both did their most damnedest to land more blows on the other. Bakugo stuck to punches building enough of a sweat to give Tsuyu an exploding uppercut. Despite the pain, Tsuyu did not give him the pleasure of her screams instead giving Bakugo's smug face a taste of her boot as she bounced off his face.

"Why do you hate Izuku so much? Is it really him or is it the attention from Drake-kun and Jericho-sensei?" Tsuyu said as Bakugo fumed.

"So, it's Drake-kun now?" Midnight teased.

"He wouldn't even be spoiled if it wasn't for that overbaked quirk of his!" Bakugo roared before using Fire Ball Jutsu in its flamethrower form.

"By that logic, I believe you'd be lumping All Might in there. But I bet you're thinking that, you just don't have the balls to say it out loud!" Tsuyu said before using another Wind Wave to cut through the fire and slam an energy sphere into the blonde's face.

"Shut up!" Bakugo said powering up before grabbing Tsuyu's wrist. "At least I'm not a damn extra!"

"Better an extra than what's on your resume. No one wants to admit it, but I will. What you did to Midoriya didn't exactly raise our opinons on you!" Tsuyu said coldly.

"But you fucking tolerate Mineta!" Bakugo snarled.

"Leave me out of this." Mineta said slurping on his smoothie.

"You don't get it. I'm literally stuck living that bastard's shadow, you think I asked for that." Bakugo said slamming Tsuyu. "Or watch those alien bastards heep him with praise and spoil him while giving me the shaft!"

"Entitled, much?" Tsuyu said getting up. "You're not helping your case."

"Kaio-ken." Bakugo said triggering Kaio-ken.

The reddish aura overshadowing him as explosions cackled in his hands. He draws his right hand back to his right side and charges a reddish-orange energy sphere before suddenly jerking his hand forward firing the energy sphere in the form of an energy wave at Tsuyu. A condensed explosion that kicked up debris and blew wind leaving a dust cloud.

"Call this match, it's over." Bakugo said to Drake dropping the Kaio-ken.

Drake sighed.

"And you screwed up several rules in combat. Never assume an opponent's down until you make sure of it, and don't take your eyes of them!" Drake yelled as the ground shook.

Despite the head wound that drizzled blood and the pain wracking her body, she had every intent to not lose this fight.

"Kaio-ken times two."

The red was over her, muscles throbbed with a few veins evident, and Tsuyu used her newfound power to bounce forward getting Bakugo in the chest with a double kick. That got Bakugo coughing blood and one could hear a rib or two break before his flight on Air Asui. Tsuyu halted that by grabbing his arm and pulling him into a rather punishing barrages of kicks.

She stopped as her grip went to his shoulder staring down the batter Katsuki…who spat blood on her blood in defiance.

"Times three." Tsuyu said as her aura sharpened.

Wind swirled around her fist.

"Dragon Wave Uppercut!" Tsuyu said.

CRUNCH! Even Izuku could feel the crunch of that uppercut as time was over.

[Music Ends/Time Over]

Bakugo hit the ground unconscious and hurt. The Kaio-ken aura faded from Tsuyu's body as she fell to her knees, her body a bit sore.

"It's a good thing that you didn't exceed pass three. I was going to say that most of you have could safely multiply by three. Others are at just two. With training due to your weights, the safe limit will rise." Drake said. "I am impressed with both of you."

Jericho got out a bottle with some liquid before opening Bakugo's mouth and dropping the contents in his mouth. When it went down his throat, he began to heal and coughed before waking up.

"Bakugo, I figured that with a bit of tough love, you'd realize that you're a bit entitled. But it's clear that isn't exactly working." Jericho said with a sigh. "Clearly, Drake and I had screwed the pooch on that. And for that, we apologize. Doesn't excuse your shitty behavior."

"Neither does yours." Bakugo said.

"Fair enough." Jericho said before turning to Drake. "How's Tsuyu?"

"Eating a Golden Apple. Good thing we packed those Minecraftian healing items." Drake said helping Tsuyu up.

Albedo looked at Bakugo before dragging him off away from the others saying he needed to talk to him alone.

"Bakugo, I'm going to be blunt. I should have had this talk with you before." Albedo said sighing. "Why now instead of before? I was sorting my own issues out, I haven't been a reality warper as long as the dynamic duo."

"Your own issues?" Bakugo said.

"Bakugo. If anything, I was the 'you' to my world's 'Izuku' in a sense or a villainous variant, really. The repeated defeats, being forced to watch the rival gain power over you time after time…I've been there." Albedo said. "Us rivals typically end up working with the 'hero' or die trying to defy him…or worse."

"So, what you're saying is I'm stuck being second banana?" Bakugo said steaming.

"No, you're a warper now. Why do you care? If anything, you don't have to be the shit heel to spring Izuku forward, let that be someone's job." Albedo said slyly.

"Someone else's?" Bakugo asked.

"Let's just say there's another person who has a massive hate boner for all of Class 1-A. Let that poor sap be the heel." Albedo said with a twisted look. "Besides, unlike Izuku…you can kick his ass repeatedly. I doubt Drake or Jericho will care. They hate him plenty."

"Who is the bastard?" Bakugo asked with a matching look.

"Neito Monomoa from Class 1-B." Albedo said. "But if you want to get away with that, make it up with Izuku. Besides, considering he saved your life, you owe him enough not to be a piece of shit to him. Bakugos who tend to work hand in hand with their Izukus tend to get farther than others."

Albedo walked away.

"And I suggest you do before the end of our time here." Albedo said letting the words hang on Bakugo's head.

[Cues: kudasai – a light of mine]

Tsuyu had gotten plenty praise for her fight. It surprised the others that Bakugo admitted Tsuyu fought well after being quiet for most of the day after coming back with Albedo. Bakugo slipped into Izuku's room where the emerald hero was writing in his notebook.

"Izuku, I…"

"You called me Izuku." Izuku said quietly putting down the pencil. "Something's bugging you."

"Or more this is something I'd never thought I'd admit to." Bakugo said.

"Please don't tell me you have feelings for me because I…"

"What? NO!" Bakugo said as Izuku looked relived. "Oh great, there's probably a…"

"Dozens of them. I try not to think of them…I rather not." Izuku said turning to face him.

"Well, I guess apologizing for being an asshole would be something up your alley then." Bakugo said getting Izuku to raise an eyebrow.

"Yeah, it would. And I'd be easily pressed to forgive you because let's me real for a moment. You did not get the ego by yourself, the people around you made it form and fed into it. Society's just messed up like that. Honestly, I was waiting for you to wise up to realize it." Izuku admitted.

"I wouldn't say I realized that as why I'm apologizing, but I won't fault for you that." Bakugo said moving for the door.

"What did?" Izuku asked as Bakugo stopped.

"Deku, you're clearly set up to fight something…some great evil. I shouldn't exactly be wasting time with tearing you down when we could be tearing on that evil together." Bakugo said before leaving.

[Cues: kudasai – she said, I wonder]

Drake was listening to his tunes once again, but this time he was in room laying on an easy chair while reading a doujin sipping on a glass of iced tea.

"Hehe, never change Roshi." Drake said as his door was opened.

He closed it and shoved it under the cushion as Tsuyu walked in.

"Oh, Asui." Drake said before sipping on that drink. "What can I do for you?"

"I wanted to inquire the houses on the island and ask if it would be possible to link a device that let me fast travel from it to my parent's home." Tsuyu asked.

"Yes, it would be pretty easy. I have a device that can help." Drake said as Tsuyu perked up.

"That's great. Then I'd like to claim the house as soon as possible. Also, I didn't want to ask in front of everyone if you're available for a date." Tsuyu said. "After we get out of the Chamber, of course."

"Yeah, that wouldn't be a problem at all. No dates on the schedule, and I'm mostly in the clear if I put clones to handle paperwork. I do have to work on an invention, but I can save working on it for later. When do you want to do this? Before you move in or after." Drake said as he poured Asui a drink.

"After, we can just use whatever device you put in my place to get back to the mainland. Mina mentioned you had a car, you can drive me to the date?" Tsuyu said. "And please call me Tsu."

"Of course, Tsu…" Drake said before being being interrupted by a knock on the door. "Come in…"

Izuku came in nervous and mumbling.

"I need advice!" Izuku said. "You're good with girls, right?"

"Tsu just asked me out so…I'm doing something right." Drake humorously mused. "Did Ochako ask you out?"

"Well yes…and Mina did. They ended up asking me out at the same time. I was aware of Ochako, but Mina came right out of left field." Izuku remarked.

"You didn't notice? Mina had metioned an interest." Tsuyu said. "She's had her eye on you."

Before Drake could answer, Jericho walked in.

"Izuku, I need to ask you something. Could you handle taking two girls on a date?" Jericho asked. "Because Ochako and Mina are interested in you and I got them to agree to consider sharing."

"I mean harems and OT3s are perfectly legal under warper law. I mean, you basically have the appeal of a harem protagonist." Drake said with a thumbs up. "Trust me, you got this."

"I can offer some advice." Jericho said with a purr. "Drake and I were spies…the kind to seduce our targets. Come, you cute cinnamon roll. I'll make a suave man out of you."

Jericho dragged Izuku out. Izuku and Tsuyu exchanged looks before clinking glasses and chugging their glasses.

In Jericho's room, Izuku sat on a beanbag chair across from Jericho on a plush Snorlax.

"Izuku, my advice for you is simple. Both these girls like you for you already, so you're good on that part. What you need to deal with is…wardrobe, wheels, and confidence." Jericho said with a small smile. "I can help with the first two after we get out of thechamber. The third is all you, when is your date?"

"After we get out of the chamber, tomorrow right after school." Izuku said as Jericho had an idea.

"Ok, let me recommend a picnic. I'll even prep you a basket. Use Swoopneck Lake as the place to hold it without being disturbed." Jericho suggested. "Or a driving date. Taking them shopping is an option. And well, the island has a beach so…beach date."

Izuku was mentally doing the math calucating which would be the best…before coming to a decision.
