Chapter 20 – Arc Resolutions

Being self aware promptly was the thing that truly gave him perspective about his father. He realized that while he would change…it just far late into the game. Some would say better late than never, but Shoto would give a person the stink eye for saying that to his face. And Touya…frankly as much as he wanted to feel bad for his brother, there was more a boiling rage that he would go out of his way to screw over the entire world.

"Then again, I can't exactly ask for a crazy person to make a rational decision." He thought.

He had flown away from the school just taking it the power to fly in general. He had decided to visit his mother in the mental hospital. Rei Todoroki was in the midst of reading when an orderly came to tell her she had a visitor.

"Hey, mom." Shoto said coming in.

"Shoto, you're here." Rei said surprised to see him. "What's with the clothes? Are you cosplaying as a ninja or is that your hero outfit?"

Shoto considered that for a moment.

"It's a long story. I came to see her to check on how you were doing and to…bury the hatchet. I can't say things at home are. Dad doesn't know I'm here…as I came by myself." Shoto said as Rei put a hand on her shoulder. "Some crazy things have happened…and it in part deals with the gi I'm wearing."

He had told her about meeting the aliens and how they were teaching at U.A. High.

"And you're siding with them because they can't stand your father either." Rei said with a laugh.

"It helped, but they really did offer a wealth of information and knowledge." Shoto said taking up Hinote's ball. "But I should introduce you to my team."

"Team?" Rei said.

Explaining Pokémon was a bit on the odd side, but Rei took it stride to meet them. Dark Might lay in her lap as she scratched behind his ears. Hinote stood by her trainer and Hananko sat on Shoto's shoulder.

"They're so cute." Rei said giggling. "I have a feeling your father doesn't exactly like them too much."

"Hinote kicked him in the balls when he found out I had Pokémon." Shoto said Hinote huffed proud of her takedown.

"I can still hear the sound of his balls crunching on my talons." Hinote thought.

Rei had a laugh, a deep one.

"Well, give my thanks to Drake and his friends." Rei said.

"Yeah, I actually came out a really intense form of training. It was a lot of time with just them and my classmates. It was to encourage bonding." Shoto said sheepishly. "It was interesting…I got closer with my classmates."

"That's good. You really could use some friends…I know that you can't…exactly do much about your home life, but…"

"About that?" Shoto said before telling her about the island.

"Shoto, I'm going to be honest with you. You should take up the offer of a house…you could use some distance from your father. Plus, some time away will maybe get him to wake up that he's grown into a complete tool." Rei said with a sigh. "Maybe take your siblings with you. After all, it's lonely at the top."

"How would I even get Natsuo and Fuyumi to come with me?" Shoto asked.

"You got a pen and a paper?" She asked him.

Shoto would return his Pokémon save for Dark Might, bid goodbye to his mother, and left with Dark Might and the letter she wrote for his siblings. Rei thought on her husband and sighed…wishing that she had not have to come to this. Shoto…he did not have the heart to tell her about Touya…at least not yet.

Shoto walked home with Dark Might by his side to keep him company. He had not even noticed it was nighttime until he walked in the door.

"Welcome home, Shoto." Fuyumi said setting dinner on the table.

"Where have you been?" Endeavor asked.

"Out, walking the dog." Shoto said as Dark Might yapped.

"You're still raising that mongrel." Endeavor said as Dark Might snarled.

Shoto came to eat letting out the other two for a meal. Endeavor could not help but glare at Hinote who glared right back.

"So, how was class?" Natsuo said.

"We have a special form of training. A form of training using a device that could make a void that have time flow differently. Basically, we did 25 days worth of training for nearly two hours. It was pretty intense but getting to see All Might spar with Drake was pretty cool among the highlights." Shoto said. "It was pretty much an instant boot camp, got some new techniques down."

"Yet, you probably still won't use your fire." Endeavor snarked.

Shoto got up and cackled. Before using a Katon: Hidama to incinerate his father's dinner. Shoto finished his food and left without a word leaving the stunned father torn between being pissed at him, excited that Shoto was using his fire, or begrudgingly having to admit Drake and his alien friends managed to get him to use it.

Natsuo started snickered before falling out of his chair laughing hysterically. Hinote was laughing alongside Dark Might and Hanako.

"What a maroon!" Hinote cackled out.

"You used your fire…I'm impressed." Endeavor said.

"I didn't do it for you. My flames burn because of me and my drive to do better than you." Shoto said quietly.

Endeavor's phone rang as he took it up. A quick chat from his contact at the police revealed something that got his full attention.

"So, that fire slinger is back on the streets. Seems that alien missed him and his buddy." Endeavor said getting up to crack his knuckles.

"He has a name, you know. Considering they are training me and my class, the least you could do is show a bit of respect." Shoto said.

"Dad, they are your colleagues." Fuyumi said gently.

"Pfft…barely." Endeavor said.

"Dad, you can't keep dismissing them like this. The last time you did, you got nut chucked by a little girl." Shoto said. "You don't have to like them, but when they warn you, so you don't get hurt, you take the warning."

Endeavor just cited that little girl was not going to get him a second time and left. Shoto just sighed and turned to his silbings.

"I didn't tell dad this, but…I went to visit mom in the hospital." Shoto said surprising the two siblings. "She's doing better."

"That's wonderful." Fuyumi said before getting her the letter. "Is this from her?"

"Yes, for you and Natsuo. I'm going to call it a night." Shoto said leaving for his room.

Dark Might, Hanako, and Hinote would follow him leaving the siblings alone to read it.

[The Midoriyas]

Inko and Izuku were in the midst of watching some Interdimensional Cable. Infinite channels could barely bore. Izuku's Pokémon all sat around.

"Onisu's big enough to fly you around, now." Inko said sliding over the bowl of pumpkin seeds for him to peck at.

"Pretty much everyone is in their final forms except Nao and Enoki. Though, Enoki's final form is going to be a big one." Izuku said thoughtfully. "Maybe I should ask about that house on the island, I could maybe ask Drake for a portal from here to here."

"If that will be the case…do you think you could capture a Pokémon for the house to keep me company?" Inko asked.

"Oh sure…any preference in type? There's eighteen types." Izuku said before musing on them.

"I guess a Psychic type could be useful or maybe a Fighting type to carry things." Inko said thoughtfully.

Izuku's cell rang to which he took it up.

"Yo, Deku. I was doing some poking around on the WarpNet. I found a spaceship on sale, and I'll be sending you the link." Bakugo said. "Get to it."

Izuku went over to his room opening his computer and entered the link. The spaceship Bakugo found was similar to his own, but without the wings. The Alieh III model ship, iconic to video game fans. Then he saw who was selling it and looked up the bounty.

"Kacchan, the guy selling it has a bounty of 7 billion…a frozen bounty." Izuku said stunned.

"Wait, you can get your bounty frozen?" Bakugo said as Izuku looked into it.

"Rick 'Merch' Merkowski, 10th Rank, wanted for association with the Blackthorn Clan, partaking in a major warping war…and a lot of other things. Bounty is frozen as per terms of being a major selling and disturber to the multiverse as a 'True Neutral'." Izuku said looking through the file from the Order's website. "He has a double bounty as he's married…"

Izuku thought about it and realized there some serious benefits. He had used his time as a warper to do research on his own about the various clans. He was glad that the trio entrusted him earlier. Izuku thanked Bakugo for the help.

"Tomorrow morning, I'll need your help to train our Pokémon. I wanted you to come with to use that head of you to help work on increasing Burnette's friendship." Bakugo said.

"We have to go to the island to collect on our reward anyway, but you're treating me to breakfast. Well, us since Mina is going to want to come." Izuku said swarmly.

"Yeah, yeah…when you planning on claiming the house?" Bakugo asked.

"Tomorrow or Sunday. I want to catch something to keep my Mom company. Either a Psychic or a Fighting type." Izuku said. "I'll deal with the order. Good night, Kacchan."

Izuku hung up before placing the order.

[Ochako]

Ochako sat in front of her desk having organized it to be a workstation. Being on the island did relax her, but she had business to deal with. She had called her parents to explain that she could help in improving the company. The idea of expanding the business to be an intergalactic one was a lucrative one. She admitted that she did not want to take over as the face of the company, but her parents were more than willing to have her do to make the connections. Thus, she was in the midst of filling out the forms for that permit only to get a video call from an unknown caller.

Chingbai used her Vine Whip to give Ochako her phone to which she answered to see in the masked Komachi.

"Komachi? What do you want with me?" Ocahaco said.

"A lawyer recently displaced is seeking work and…I know you're new to this." Komachi said. "I…owe this lawyer a favor so I thought of you as you are the new head of Uraraka Industries."

"Displaced?" Ochako asked.

"Lost their home universe and they're out of a job." Komachi said in monotone. "I'll patch you through to her."

Komachi patched her through to meet the lawyer. An older woman of American descent with blonde long hair, model-like looks, and glasses.

"You must be Miss Uraraka, I am Alexandra Cabot, an A.D.A. from the Law and Order universe. I believe we have much to discuss."

[Space above Earth, Pokémon Universe]

Far above the planet, unknown to the unaware, was a rather large spaceship. One meant for defense, offenses, and carrying smaller ships that made the fleet. This was the Grand Revenant, the lead ship that held the last of Cobalt. A small cruiser had just been let into the ship.

"It's good to have you back, Nikita."

Nikita got off her ship and happily hugged her husband.

"Micheal, I'm sorry…I…"

"Don't. You are just one person, and it was a mass munity." Micheal said calming her down.

"How many are left?" She asked.

"Our team survived, Section 1 did not turn on us, the Vice Commander, Commander, and the Director." Micheal explained.

"That's barely less than 50." Nikita said as they walked down the hall. "You're saying nearly all of our forces were dirty or got killed because of Rendo Nexus."

"The homeworlds we have for bases are gone. All were destroyed, and our major hub was jacked by Rendo Nexus. Alex and Owen managed to escape it." Micheal said bitterly as they entered the meeting room.

What was Cobalt was a mix of people from several universes, from the realistic Special Victims Unit of Law Order to the fantastical world of Harry Potter, well…until their numbers were cut down.

"Nikita, tell me you got an update for us."

"Specialist Benso-"

"Olivia. Don't remind me of rank when our organization is history." Olivia said with her head on the desk.

"I did manage to gather information on Shadow and Nightshade. Pretty much wanted in several universes, praised in others, but none of them were warpers. I don't think they really told anyone of note the secret. But…there was one thing. A Ben 10 universe I had visited, they had stated that their Albedo had went missing. No trace, no nothing. Leads me to believe Shadow and Nightshade took him considering there's no corpse." Nikita said taking out a folder. "How's your son taking things?"

"Noah's not exactly taking it well. He had to spend his fifth birthday living with all this around him." Olivia said lifting her head. "I'm tempting to drink but I'm afraid of turning into my mother."

"At this point, we're practically using Shadow and Nightshade's old haunt to hide. We can't even get any of our old allies to help us, they're a bit too busy being torn a new one by the Order. The amount of corruption in our ranks…is completely ridiculous." Fin said bitterly.

"What matters is we need to figure out a new plan of action." Verdona said crossing her arms. "I am not resorting to murdering a –"

"I got them!"

"Alex?" Olivia asked.

Alexandra confidently dropped a folder and Ironwood opened it to show a photo.

"Ochako Uraraka. A recent warper and head of Uraraka Industries…our new boss." Alexandra said as everyone looked at her. "I convinced her into hiring me as a lawyer and my associates for bodyguards, maids, and workers to move her construction business to become intergalctatic."

"At least we have jobs?" Trunks said.

"It gets better. I found them. Shadow and Nightshade. I had to twist an Order rep's arm, but it was worth it." Alexandra said confidently.

"Ok, what the fuck did you have any of the Order?" Micheal said flatly.

"She was one of ours. She sold out three of our units to RN in exchange for a cash deal which she used to get to her cushy job at the Order by bribing another official to erase her old history with us on paper. I don't think the Elites will be happy to hear that or she looked the other way on a few of RN's antics…" Alexandra said confidently. "She was quite willing to give me the information then."

"Well, that's good…"

"Then I ratted her out to the Elites. From what I hear, after she's done with her caseload, she's been 'promoted' to the unit going after the RN as an undercover agent." Alexandra said darkly. "She doesn't know it was me who sold her out. I paid a Rei clone to do it."

"So, we got the information. What does it benefit us?" Fin asked.

"Simple. We will be able to help Ochako with ensuring her family's financial security and use her to secure ourselves. No doubt our former agents have allies…and if they're going to make that universe a Protected one…we got a new place to call home and a cushy job." Alexandra said sagely.

"What's to stop Drake and Jericho from killing you and the rest of us the moment they find out about this?" Fin asked.

"Simple, we're giving Ochako exactly what she hired us for. She just doesn't know she bought a former PMC. I didn't lie during our interview…she just never asked about we formerly did. The duo doesn't even know I had Komachi involved…and they won't be able to contact her after her 'promotion'." Alexandra said.

"Well then, let's set a course. We have a new boss to meet." Ironwood said with a grin.

"Not just yet, there's paperwork I need to fill. And we'll be raiding a few universes to get some equipment…" Alexandra said everyone got ready. "We're going to make UI a success."

(A/N: And Arc 2 is truly complete with Nikita's sub-plot coming to the A-plot. For those curious, who is left of Cobalt is Team Nikita, several characters from Law and Order: Special Victims Unit, the higher heads. The Commander, Vice Commander, and the Director each have an extra person with them from their universe. I'm going to leave who those people are a mystery. I'll take suggestions for what Pokémon you think Izuku would get for his mother along with ideas for new zones in the islands. The next Arc will also have a more evident B plot with the Red Phoenix Pirates, and I intend for it to go hand and hand with the main story. See you all next time! Plus Ultra!)
