Chapter 23 – Commentary is in the Chaos

[Taking place during chapter 22]

[Kyoka Household]

It was maddening. Mika and Kyotoku had their day off to spend time together only to get their broadcast interrupted by a madman wanting to kill innocent students with their daughter among them.

"All right. I guess I'll take Tumeric here." Drake said cracking his knuckles. "Class, today we're fighting villains. Don't hold back much."

Mika was a bit put off by Drake's casualness and moreso by Jericho being so assured that the students could fight. Then the battle raged on with Drake singling out Tomura and everyone else scattering.

Jirou and Amphea were in the midst of taking on a few mooks. Jirou weaved under a big guy's punch and land a precise shot in the ribs. She promptly blew him away with a kiai before smacking another her guitar.

"Thank heavens, they trained this well to fight." Mika said not fully relived.

Despite her skills, Jirou was being swarmed and backed into a corner. Amphea used Howl only to kicked aside forcing Malone and Pantera to jump in. Amphea got up, fuming and began to glow bright white.

"What's happenings?" Kyotoku said as Amphea grew.

She had evolved into her next form, a Loudred. One who looked very angry and send those mooks back with her now strengthened Hyper Voice. Amphea took up Jirou to put on her shoulder as they moved ahead to aid the others using their combined sound waves to make the attacking villain's ears assail in pain.

[Todoroki Household]

Enji was not worried about his son at all. Begrudingly, he had to admit that the 'alien's' training that upped his son's capability. The empty house had been a haunting reminder of all he was aiming for…and it was lonely at the top.

"Ack, I got sand in my eyes!" A villain screamed before Shoto froze the victim's legs.

He was kicked aside as Hanako mewled in delight at being effective. Dark Might had scared one into a corner. The villain had a fear of dogs and seeing his one could shoot Shadow Balls was freaking her out.

"Call it off, I surrender!" She wailed.

Shoto froze her to the ground and moved on. Hinote was abusing Speed Boost to zip around using Aerial Ace to blitz mook after mook before speeding back to Shoto for them to combine their fire to roast a villain with a bull quirk.

"Oi, Shoto!"

Shoto turned to see Denki electrocute a villain trying to sneak up on him.

"Kaminari. Thanks for the save. How are the others?" Shoto asked.

"Yo, they good, but Drake is going ham on the hands dude." Denki remarked.

[Katsuki Household]

Inko was there fretting with Mitsuki, but the nitrogren mother could not be more entertained seeing her son go to town on the villains. Mitsuki was surprised to see Bakugo had a new Pokémon.

Bakugo's Seviper was strangling a villain while he and Burnette were double teaming a rather tough villain. Mid-fight, Burnette had her evolution to Lopunny and learned Mega Kick.

It was telling to Mitsuki that even Bakugo pitied that poor villain for that Mega Kick to the nads.

The villain was crumpled on the ground coughing up blood and in need of a doctor. Bakugo and Burnette awkwardly decided on to check on the others.

[Unknown location]

If there was ever a moment where All for One was livid, now was the game. He considered the quirkless aliens to be a non-threat. Something Tomura could deal with easily, but Drake viciously beating Tomura left and right only left AFO with egg on his face. He glared at the screen, but what AFO's blood to go cold was remembering that Drake called Tomura a placeholder for the real threat.

"If this Drake knows I exist, then my reputation proceeds me." AFO said arrogantly.

Ironically, he was right and wrong in that regard. His focus on Drake had caused him to miss Kurogiri being sealed in a rice cooker. AFO wondered if Drake really was quirkless…had All Might secretly passed the torch to him.

"I can see that capturing the aliens may lead to the risk of this trying to kill us." Dr. Garaki remarked. "But I worry about Shigaraki."

AFO was assured Shigaraki would win…only to see his golden boy get humiliated and knocked out. The livestream ended and if AFO twitched in fury.

"Ready Gigantomachia to retrieve Shigaraki and Kurogiri once it's known where they are being imprisoned. And have him go after the aliens. Let's see them handle that." AFO said with a twisted grin.

(A/N: Hoo boy, he doesn't know Tomura's dead. But AFO can still have successor though…but I'm debating whether Nine could potentially be more deadly. But that's questions for later. Chapters 19-22 were edited up. And I added in a detail to fix a mistake in that Power Loader should be in Hound Dog's place. To make it easier on my end, I explained he was aiding in some hero work. He'll be returning starting next chapter onwards.)
