Chapter 301: Arc 18: The 'Knight of the Sea' Returns! Jinbe's Gallant Arrival
On shore...
"Damn you, Kanjuro!" Kawamatsu growled at the fleeing traitor.
On the Thousand Sunny...
"Kanjuro was a spy, right Carrot?" Sanji asked.
"That's right." the rabbit Mink nodded.
Using Sky Walk, Sanji took off after Kanjuro.
"Luffy!" Chopper shouted. "Kanjuro's the enemy spy. He's running away."
On the sea...
"Are you sure?" Luffy exclaimed. "Does that mean he's been fooling us? That bastard!"
On the Thousand Sunny...
"He flying into the clouds." Franky remarked.
"I'll shoot him down." Usopp readied his Kuro Kabuto. "Special Attack: Green Star, Platanus Shuriken!"
On his animated stork...
Kanjuro turned and swatted the flying shooting star away. "I'm sorry." he mocked, only to be met by Sanji's downward kick, which he fended off with his scabbard. Blocking out Sanji's consecutive kicks, he struck out with his still sheathed sword which Sanji backflipped to dodge the attack. With a taunting grin, he made his escape. "I don't have time for you fools." he sneered, Sanji was still hot on his tail. Using his hair as a paintbrush, he let loose a swirl of billowing black cloud to facilitate his escape.
On the Polar Tang...
"No, Sanji-dono." Kin'emon shouted. "Get back! I have a bad feeling about this. He will use another technique we have never seen."
On his animated stork...
"Ink Clouds!" Kanjuro grinned. "Let the Ink Arrows rain down." he let loose a bombardment of solidified darts of ink. "Ukiyo Portrait: Evening Shower."
On the Thousand Sunny...
"What are you doing to my Sunny?" Franky growled, punching away the ink darts.
Zoro was also using his swords to swat the darts away.
"Ex-quip: Zora Hydromancer Robe." Sasha summoned her water-manipulation armor. "Pressure Blade!" following Zoro's example, she lashed out at the falling darts with a wave of water from the 'Gaiden's Blade'.
On the Polar Tang...
The gathered Akazaya Nine were also fending off the falling darts.
On the Thousand Sunny...
"Everyone!" Momonosuke took a deep breath and hollered. "Can you hear me? I want all of you to bring down Kaido and Orochi and save the Land of Wano."
On the Polar Tang...
"How touching and noble those words are." Dogstorm was in awe.
On the sea...
"I can't believe Momo stood up like a man." Luffy grinned. "All right." he leapt back to the Thousand Sunny. "Let's go to Onigashima."
On the Thousand Sunny...
"Luffy, one of the enemy ships is fleeing." Franky spotted the escaping galleon.
"Let it go." Luffy instructed. "We're gonna head in that direction anyway, so we can sink it later."
"I thought there was one more ship." Usopp recalled.
"I already sank it." Luffy replied. "Let's get going."
On the Polar Tang...
"Denjiro, I'm glad to see you again." Kawamatsu was relieved, the group was reunited with Denjiro, Shinobu and Momonosuke.
"I can't believe that Kyoshiro was you, Denjiro-san." Kiku admitted.
"By the way, Denjiro." Raizo started. "What happened to your face?"
"It's a long story." Denjiro deflected the question. "I'm glad to see you all."
"Is everyone all right?" Momonosuke shouted to the gathered clan ships.
"There are some injuries and wrecked ships." one of the samurai shouted back. "We're okay. No problem. Let's go to the island now. Where did that come from?" the gathered samurai was stunned when a cannonball sank one of their ships.
On the Thousand Sunny...
"It's from the ship that fled." Usopp turned.
"A long range cannon?" Franky blinked when another cannonball took down a second ship.
"They were trying to keep a good distance." Usopp panicked.
"How can they hit from that far?" Nami peered through the binoculars.
On the Polar Tang...
"Damn." Law cursed, the three pirate ships were cruising in closer to Onigashima, three more cannonballs from the enemy galleon having sank another three more samurai ships. "I thought they escaped too easily."
On the Thousand Sunny...
"Full speed ahead!" Luffy ordered. We've got move closer."
On the Polar Tang...
"On no." Denjiro gaped when the fired cannonballs managed to take down half of the samurai forces. "If they keep this distance, we'll all sink."
In the sea...
Jinbe was moving himself into an ideal attacking position. "Fish-Man Karate: Spear Wave!" he shot out a powerful stream of water from his palm that pierced through the Beast Pirate galleon. "Fish-Man Karate: Spear Wave, Murasame!" he moved to the side of the galleon and fired off a wave of solidified water darts at the ship, taking down the three long-ranged cannons.
On the Thousand Sunny...
"Something's happening." Brook noted.
"What's going on?" Usopp exclaimed.
"Is anyone there?" Luffy peered through the fading smoke from the downed enemy ship.
On the ship's debris...
"Everyone." Jinbe steadied himself. "Please listen. I was born in the Fish-Man District, the Kingdom of Ryugu, the country of the deep sea. I gave my seniors around the world so much trouble, but now, my loyalty is to the Ocean Goddess. People call me 'First Son of the Sea: Jinbe.' Please remember my face and I request your continued support. Thank you for indulging me." he laughed. "Sasha-sama, I've returned as promised. I'm glad I made it in time for the battle."
On the Polar Tang...
"You've got be to kidding." Law gawked.
