French Quarter, New Orleans

The Compound

6pm

Josh looked down at his phone again. Aiden had texted that he had a really bad day and he was going to sleep right after school. That had been at 3 something and Josh hadn't heard back from him. Josh had spent the night in this room. He had come to think of it as his room, though he only stayed at the compound from time to time.

Josh had heard Marcel come home and go in Davina's room, go downstairs, and then back up again. It was nerve wracking. Josh couldn't truly be afraid of Marcel, he knew he wouldn't hurt him or be overly harsh with him. Josh was just afraid of facing Marcel after he had lied to his face. Sure, he loved Aiden and wanted to protect him, but Marcel had never given him a single reason to doubt him. Not from the second he met him. Josh wiped away the tears that fell from his traitorous eyes. He had never cried so much in his life as he had since he became a vamp. The heightened emotions were great when they were happy, like being in love. But the guilt was tearing him up now, Josh listed all of the ways he was a terrible person.

By the time Marcel got to his room, Josh was a sobbing mess.

"Joshua, hey buddy, talk to me," Marcel said sitting on the bed by Josh. He was concerned. He'd never seen Josh so low.

"Don't be nice to me, Marcel. I don't deserve it. I l-lied to y-you," Josh wept.

"Yeah, and you're going to pay for that with that with a pretty decent ass beating. But Josh, I know why you did it. I get it. I haven't always given the wolves their due. I failed them. This isn't you failing me. And together, we're all going to make this city safer for everyone, k?" Marcel put his arm around Josh.

"I'm so sorry. I feel like shit right now. You deserve a better friend," Josh advised.

"Stop it right now, Josh. You are my top guy and a great friend. We're going to take care of your guilt. But if you keep fussing about this, I'm gonna smack your ass every night this week right before bed. Yup, Mikaelson style. Well, I guess every other night, but I could upgrade it for you. Now, are you done?" Marcel smiled softly.

"Yes, Marcel. I-I'm ready," Josh claimed.

"Okay, flip over. Tonight, you're getting the wooden spoon. You might as well, slip down those sweats and bare your butt. The ladies are almost ready to eat. They are going to be sucking down wine coolers until we get there," Marcel revealed.

Josh groaned as he took down his sweats and boxers, "Ah, I like wine coolers!"

"Of course, you do, Josh. Now stay still," Marcel smirked.

"Glad you think this is funny. And I've seen you drink wine coolers, too, when you think no one is around! OUCH!" Josh yelped as Marcel gave him the first hard series of whacks on his behind.

Whap! Whap! Whap! Whap!

"Josh, I begged you to tell me what you were up to, didn't I? I had you over my knee and you wouldn't, was that a smart idea?" Marcel asked pausing a moment as he tapped Josh lightly with the spoon.

"No, Marcel! It was stupid! I should have told you! I-I just...," Josh drifted. Marcel put down the spoon a moment and began spanking Josh hard with his hand.

Smack! Smack! Smack! Smack!

"OWWWWWW, OWWWWW, sooooorrrrry," Josh wailed as he struggled to get out of position.

Smack! Smack! Smack! Smack!

"What? Didn't trust me? After everything? I saved your life, man! I would do anything for you, Josh. I know how much you love Aiden. I've been there with Rebekah. Next time, you talk to me or this is going to be a walk in the park," Marcel said holding him down tighter with his left arm.

Smack! Smack! Smack! Smack!

Marcel picked up the wooden spoon and began to again pepper the entire surface of Josh's now red backside with sharp swats. Josh was incoherent and blubbering, but Marcel didn't stop until Josh lay still.

"Okay, I think we're done here. Josh, the next time you even think about lying and scheming like this, I swear, I really will paddle you for a week. Believe me, you don't want that," Marcel said checking his backside to make sure he hadn't been too hard on him. Marcel hadn't used much of his vampire strength, nor even swatted him too much harder than he had the girls. Josh had already felt awful and just needed to really forgive himself.

Marcel pulled up Josh's pants which caused a fresh onslaught of tears.

"AHHHH, Marcel, no!" Josh wailed. Marcel swatted the seat of Josh's pants hard twice with the flat of his hand.

Crack! Crack!

"Watch the attitude, Joshua, before I change my mind and decide that I didn't spank you hard enough!" Marcel warned.

"No! No! You did, really! Sorry, I'm just sore. Is Davina okay?" Josh asked pushing himself up from the bed and grabbing his rear to rub.

"She's good, buddy. I think a little better than you right now," Marcel grinned watching Josh rubbed his searing cheeks with vigor.

"Rubbing just makes it worse, but I can't help it," Josh whined.

"Hayley also got a little reminder to tell the truth. I guess I feel responsible for her and all that happened with her parents. So one night around here, three spanked butts. I wish that was a record but, it's not," Marcel recalled.

"You mean when you were a kid? Who else got punished with you?" Josh wondered.

"Those are stories for another time, my friend. Now, wipe your face and fix your hair or Rebekah is gonna to drunk swat you and me both for keeping them waiting," Marcel announced. Josh tried to fix himself up, but he did not look his greatest. Now that his spanking was over, he was hungry. For food and some blood.

"Can I have blood tonight?" Josh asked in a small voice. As he walked and his boxers and jeans clung to his swollen behind, he couldn't help trying to rub again.

"No, it's part of your punishment. Blood would just speed up your healing and I want you to have a little reminder of what happens when you misbehave for at least a few more hours. I should sit you in the corner on a wooden chair for a while, but I know the girls are waiting on us. I hate doing that, Josh," Marcel admitted. Marcel tried not to smile at Josh's rubbing, but he looked like he was five.

Josh tore his hands from his rear end and looked down. "I really am sorry, Marcel. I should have told you. I wanted to, but you're right. I just didn't trust you as I should have. It won't happen again. Am I forgiven?"

"Yeah, Josh. I think it was good I had some time to cool off, though. It terrified me that if I hadn't overheard what I heard in the Bayou, I'd still be in the dark right now. Come on, let's go," Marcel put an arm around Josh and pulled him in for a side hug. He kissed him on the head, as Klaus used to do to him.

"Love you, man," Josh said sincerely.

"Love you, too. Now let's go eat. You can have a little blood, but only if you never tell anyone, especially Kol, that I like wine coolers! Deal?" Marcel asked seriously.

Josh grinned, "Deal. He'll never hear it from my lips."

Louisiana Bayou

7pm

Jackson and Ollie sat fishing on the dock watching the sun go down. Eve came and talked to them for a little while. She didn't seem real pleased to hear about Hayley going off with Marcel.

"She's going to Mystic Falls? Whatever in the world for?" Eve asked in shock.

"Marcel invited her to meet his family and do some spell to find out what killed her family," Jackson revealed.

Eve growled, "Wolves shouldn't get messed up with witches and vamps. I ain't never left these swamps. This is where our people below. Not in some big city."

"I don't reckon Mystic Falls is a big city," Ollie laughed.

Eve laughed too, and patted him on the head.

"I miss ya coming around, Ollie. I gotta go, but don't y'all forget about old Eve," Eve chided.

"No, ma'am, we won't," Jackson said as he felt a bite on his line. It ended up being nothing.

Eve went back to her shack and soon they were alone again.

"I best check the traps again before it gets too dark," Ollie stated.

"Yeah, nothing is bitin' tonight. Let's go," Jackson agreed.

As the boys walked away from the water, Ollie caught a scent.

"There's something out there. Follow me!" Ollie said as he broke into a run. Jackson dropped his fishing gear and followed Oliver as he ran deeper into the Bayou. Jackson thought they scared a gator into diving quickly into the water, that's how fast Ollie was going. Jackson smelled a raccoon and spotted a wild boar. What the hell was Ollie looking for? Then, Jackson saw a beautiful young woman about to attack a paralyzed wolf.

"Stop right there, witch!" Oliver yelled.

The woman, who looked to be about 20, had dark, shoulder length wavy brown hair. She seemed amused.

"Goody. More wolves! Come closer, friends," the woman giggled.

Jackson put a restraining hand on Ollie. "Something ain't right."

"Oh, aren't they handsome? Too bad we don't care, right Nora? Two bad we don't like boys," another young blond with an accent purred.

Ollie went to knock her out of the way, but the brown hair one cast a boundary spell.

"Mary Louise, let's take these two with us instead? If they have the mark, that is. Boys, are you Crescents?" Nora asked coyly.

"Fuck off, you monster! Witches ain't allowed here. You know the rules. We know Marcel. He'll execute you for this," Oliver ranted.

"Marcel? We'll see about that. Now are you going to answer our question? I suppose not. I'll have to compel you, take off your shirt and show me your Crescent birthmark if you have it," Nora said staring into his eyes.

Oliver took off his shirt and showed them his mark. Jackson was horrified. "Ollie, man, what are you doing?"

"They will do," Mary Louise smirked. "But Lily might not like it if we have to kill these two. But if we are to get what we need, we'll need their blood to get into that vault again."

"What's in the vault?" Jackson demanded.

"Never you mind. Go to sleep, boys. We'll wake you when it's go time," Nora cackled. Jackson and Oliver both fell unconscious.

Beau appeared and helped drag them to the car. They really weren't sure if they needed one wolf or two, but it was better to be on the safe side.

Docks Near New Orleans

After escaping from the 1903 prison world, Lily, Valerie, and Oscar kidnapped two vamps for blood and power and headed up to Mystic Falls. Lily's main goal wasn't to reunite with her two boys, Damon and Stefan, but to find her lover Malcolm. To do that, she would need the help of the Gemini coven. From Kai, she knew that his family would very much want to "reconnect" with him and do anything to get him back. She had grown fond of the charming lad, but she knew they wouldn't merge him for another seven years. After Malcolm was safe, she could work on saving Kai.

Beau, Mary Louise, and Nora had hidden in the Bayou. Their job was to find the hidden ascendent that the Geminis had given the Guerrera's for taking Kai off their hands to hide. After doing several spells and scouring the docks, they thought they found the sealed off tomb. It was sealed with werewolf blood and to break the spell, they needed to spill more of it.

"How do you know it's Crescent blood we need?" Mary Louise asked Nora.

"It's the blood of their enemies. If Crescents had to be sacrificed to get into the tomb, not problem right? Let's try it and see if we can get the Ascendent. We'll have that Kai back in there quickly and Lily can find and get back Malcolm with the help of the Geminis," Nora explained.

"Do you think we have enough power to break the spell?" Mary Louise asked.

"Yes, we siphoned those wolves and maybe we'll get lucky enough to run into a witch," Nora suggested.

"If we screw up this mission, Lily's going to do more than paddle us with her damned hairbrush, she might lock us back up in a prison world!" Mary Louise choked.

"She wouldn't. We will get the ascendent. Have faith, my beautiful girl," Nora said sweetly cupping her hand.

Beau carried the two wolves with no problem.

Mary Louise said, "We will need to cut them and put their hands on the door while they are still alive. If they awaken and attack, we drain them. If they behave, maybe we offer them to Lily as pets?"

"Lovely plan. Duck! Is that a vampire?" Nora hissed. The three vampires and their two kidnapped, unconscious wolves laid low.

Diego and his crew of guys vamped over, "No witches in this part of town. You should know better."

Before the witches could respond, all three put a hand on each soldier and began to siphon them dry. They didn't know that Diego had been on the phone with Marcel a few minutes before telling him that someone had tried to break into the Guerrera tomb. Marcel was already on his way.

The Heretics then drained the unfortunate vampires of their blood, after draining their magic.

The Compound 9pm

After dinner, Marcel, Rebekah, Davina, Hayley, and Josh ended up in the courtyard getting buzzed on wine colors and dancing like fools. Stereo music was blasting and everyone was dancing and singing along while sipping the fruity bottles of alcohol.

"I said two, Davina!" Marcel scolded as she gulped down a third one. Josh yanked it from her and downed it himself.

Hayley laughed and grinded on Josh as her favorite song came on.

Marcel's phone rang and he took it, stepping aside for privacy. Then, he heard the sounds and became alarmed.

"Diego? Diego! This isn't funny, man," Marcel yelled. Marcel was alarmed because Diego had no sense of humor. A moment later, Marcel realized something was wrong. His mind went quickly to the two missing vampires.

"Rebekah, I have to go. I think Diego has been attacked," Marcel said in a hushed tone.

"Oh no, let me go with you," Rebekah breathed.

"No, you stay here. I'll go alone," Marcel said buttoning his jacket.

"Marcel, just like you said, we need to work together and trust each other. You know you careful and skilled Diego is, if something go him, it's bad," Rebekah suggested.

"You're right. What about the girls and Josh?" Marcel asked.

"Too dangerous. They can stay here," Rebekah replied.

"No, if you are going, we are going," Davina said, still in her pajamas.

"Me, too. We want to help!" Hayley said proudly.

"Go get dressed. Hurry up, you have two minutes," Marcel said.

Soon, they were headed toward the docks. There was no sign of Diego or any of his guys.

The witches had cast a spell for invisibility. It never occurred to them that another witch would be there looking for them. Davina sensed the magic and found the spot. She reversed the spell and the Heretics with an unconscious Jackson and Ollie met a furious Marcel and his new crew.
