Outside New Orleans

Morning

Lily Salvatore had a problem, well, problems. She needed Malcolm back. She had promised him that she would find him the second she could. She had to honor that promise. And the boy...

At first, the little impertinent imp had irritated her. His clever retorts and boyish good looks only reminded her of the son she had birth while human, who had been lost to her since she died when he was 16 years old. She had shut that part of her heart off. But gradually, Kai worked on her. It wasn't his charms or his intelligence that worked its way to her heart, but his loneliness. It hadn't been the the things he said that endeared him to her, but the things that he hadn't said. Lily had realized that the boy had expected nothing good out of her Heretic family, as he had experienced little good from his own. That broke her slow beating, vampire heart. She knew what it felt like to be locked away and kept from your family. Lily found herself growing fonder of the boy, which was a problem. Lily needed the Gemini coven to get Malcolm back. Or did she?

When Nora and Mary Louise told Lily about the deal the King of New Orleans offered, she was ready to take it. But how could they trust these vampires? She ordered them to keep the wolves trapped in the sleeping spell until she could arrive herself.

It took longer than she wished, but she was here. She left Oscar back in Mystic Falls with Valerie with instructions to find appropriate housing for them and start looking for her one true love... Lily did love Malcolm, but now, only as any other member of her family.

"Mum, you made it," Nora said graciously. Nora's dark hair was pinned up in a bun and she was wearing a long white dress that looked at if it came from the 1900s.

"Yes, darling. It was a long trip. Oh, how pretty you girls look. Mary Louise, your hair is down. I haven't seen that in a long time. Beau, how good to see you," Lily exclaimed. She hugged her three children in relief.

Mary Louise took Lily's bags, "Mother, have a seat. I'll fix you some tea."

"No time for that now, dear," Lily said firmly. "Sit and tell me if you made any progress with the tomb."

"No, the vampires are still guarding the docks. We had a bit of a row with some of them and killed several the first time we tried to get into the tomb. Sorry, mum, I know you didn't want any deaths, but it couldn't be helped," Nora explained nervously.

"Nora, I did warn you to be careful. Beau, is this true?" Lily asked.

Beau glanced at Nora quickly and then nodded affirmatively. In truth, Nora had been quite aggressive and probably only needed to drain one vampire fully, just she and Mary Louise had drained three and Beau only one.

Mary Louise jumped in, "We needed magic to open the tomb. They would have killed us if they could. I swear!" Lily was skeptical. She always felt her children had the tendency to over explain when they fibbed.

"What's done is done. We'll discuss you disobeying me later," Lily went on. "Do you trust this 'King' Marcel? If we can get the tomb open and get the ascendent then I don't need to turn in Kai to the Geminis. Of course, they will still try to get him on their own, but our first priority has to be Malcolm...then, we can worry about the rest."

Mary Louise said, "I think we have no choice but to trust these New Orleans vampires. They seem to love these wolves a great deal. I cast a watching spell over them and the vampires are just as upset over the sleeping wolves, as the bloody wolves are! Blasted fools!"

"Language! My word, what has gotten into you, you young lady?" Lily scolded. Ladies did not curse or smoke. Lily didn't care what year it was, it was simply not appropriate.

Nora glared at Mary Louise, "Sorry, Mum, she's just anxious. We all are. Should we arrange a meeting with this Marcel and his so-called crew?"

Lily rubbed her temples, "Yes, Nora. Please do that at once. If this Marcel is as powerful as they say, he could prove to be a powerful ally. They said his adoptive father resides now in my own Mystic Falls and he now protects Kai and his sisters...If we could join forces, we may just be able to bring down the Geminis, for good."

"Then, do you think they could help with the other thing?" Mary Louise breathed.

"We can't worry about that now. Children, I am tired. Can you show me to a bed? I need to rest," Lily asked.

Beau smiled and picked up Lily's suitcase and took her by the elbow to the room they had selected for her.

After Lily and Beau left, Nora turned to Mary Louise with flashing eyes.

"What's gotten into you? You know mum doesn't put up with cursing. Are you looking for a mouth soaping, Mary Louise? Or worse?" Nora scolded.

Mary Louise blushed and looked down, "No, Nora. We're not in the prison world. We're free. I thought you'd like it if I tried to speak a little more modern like..."

Nora grabbed her arms and looked her in the eye, "Don't worry about me, sweet girl. Let's do this for Lily and then we can do as we wish. But right now, we need to obey her and help her just as always. Anymore of this new found sass and you'll have to deal with me. Lily doesn't have the time or inclination to have the whole world on her shoulders. Got it?"

"Oh Nora, you would not? Would you? I shall behave. Allow me to make it up to you and prepare the tea," Mary Louise offered. Mary Louise did love Nora so, she just wanted to make her proud no matter what world they were in.

"You do that and be quick about it, miss," Nora said playfully.

The Compound

Saturday

Morning

Marcel yelled to Josh, "The witch is on the phone. They want to arrange a meet at the docks. This afternoon."

"Tell them we'll bring Ollie and Jack. 2pm?" Josh prompted.

Marcel nodded and went back to the phone.

Josh vamped back to Davina's room and turned to Davina and the twins, "Well, witches, are you ready to fuck those siphons dicks up?"

Both Rebekah and Freya yelled, "JOSH!" from the hallway. Josh colored instantly, not realizing they were coming.

"Sorry," Josh said sheepishly. He busied himself texting Aiden the news.

Dana said, "It's okay. We're ready."

Rachael agreed, "We're not going to let them take Kai again, even though he is an asshole. He's our asshole."

Freya ignored the language, "Are you going to tell me what went down? I know something happened with you girls and your brother."

Dana cut in, "Nothing, Freya, nothing dangerous anyway."

Rebekah put her arms around Davina, "I just want this all over with. I hate that you girls have to fight like this."

Davina giggled, "Don't be, Mom. If boys can fight, why can't we? Plus, I'm looking forward to seeing Rachael and Dana put that snotty one in her place. She siphoned my spell. Aren't you?"

Rebekah agreed, "Yes, but this is no joke. They killed four vampires at the docks. Diego's guys were well-trained and tough and they couldn't do a thing to protect themselves."

Marcel came back in, "We're on. They want Jackson and Ollie there. They said they would reverse the spell and we could work something out."

Keelin came in, "God, I hope. I couldn't do a thing to help them. Their siphon magic is strong and old...it's like nothing I've ever seen. How are you going to give them what they want?"

Marcel grinned his most confident smile, "I have an idea. Trust me, folks."

Rebekah groaned, "That's what you said when I let you decorate your own study..."

"Hey, the lady told me wicker was in that year!" Marcel laughed in his defense.

Josh snapped shut his phone, "The wolves will be there. I hope the Heretics don't try to piss them off more."

The Docks

2pm

Lily, Nora, Mary Louise, and Beau waited by the warehouse that housed the secret opening to the Guerrera vault. It had been long hidden there for over a hundred years now.

Haley, Mary, Tommy, and Aiden carried Ollie and Jackson on stretchers to a meeting point with the others. Keelin had already met them and tried to help and quickly forged a friendship with Mary.

"How you holding up?" Keeling said taking the handle of the stretch from her.

"Okay, doc. Thanks for being here," Mary smiled dryly. The boys had been sleeping for too long, it was disconcerting. It felt like they were dead. Mary just wanted them awake and back to their rowdy, boisterous selves. She had sworn, she wouldn't holler at Ollie for his fool ways for at least a week.

"You got it," Keelin said watching as Aiden and Josh hugged and kissed.

She glanced at Freya who had both red hairs twins near and was whispering cautions to them about being careful. It was evident how much Freya cared about her family. Yet Freya paused and caught Keelin's eye to wink a moment.

Davina smirked at the old-fashioned clothing the four Heretics were wearing.

"Ewww, Mom, did you and Dad have to dress like that in olden time?" Davina scoffed.

Rebekah smiled at Marcel, "I'm afraid we did, but Dad always looked pretty sharp in a suit. Still does, matter of fact."

"Thanks, you clean up pretty good yourself. I'm going to go meet the Queen Mother over there. Josh, have my back. Rachael, Dana, are you ready?" Marcel asked. The rest of the group stayed back in case of any trouble.

The group walked to a halfway point. They didn't want to get trapped in any boundary spells. The docks had been under watch from Marcel's guys and none had spotted the Heretics here since the last time the groups had tangled.

"Marcel Gerald, I presume, King of New Orleans? I'm Lillian Salvatore and I believe you know my children," Lily said indicating the siphon vampires behind her.

"Yes, Mrs. Salvatore, I've met Damon and Stefan in Mystic Falls, though I haven't seen them in some time," Marcel countered.

Lily's face hardened. "They don't know about me turning vampire and I would prefer to keep it that way. Now, we're here to make a deal. We need to get Malcolm, my eldest son, out of the ascendent. We thought only the Gemini coven could do that, but as you have access to three Gemini children, perhaps you could assist."

"I thought Damon was your eldest son. And I wouldn't be too sure about them not knowing about you," Marcel continued in mock confusion.

"Malcolm, is my eldest vampire son, the first one I turned long ago. Now are you willing to help us or shall we let your wolf friends languish in glass cases in the bayou. There are not many Prince Charmings walking around with true love's kiss anymore, believe me, I know," Lily said attempting a small joke to break the tension.

"We can help and I have an idea that may work, but first, please have your girls remove the sleeping spell," Marcel asked tightly.

Lily liked this attractive man with dark skin, brown eyes, and shaven hair. To her, he looked like he was in his late 20s. She wanted to trust him, yet she knew who his father was. The Hybrid. Like many vampires, until now, she thought the Originals were just a rumor, a story, and a tale of woe. Tales of the Hybrid and his rampages had spread terror for centuries.

"Only if I have your word, we will be allies," Lily demanded.

Diego vamped out from behind the building with a crossbow loaded with wooden bullets.

"Don't trust her, Marcel! They are murders. Put them all in the garden and let them rot!" Diego screamed. He was drunk. Marcel nodded to Davina and she cast Diego in a protection spell. Josh vamped over and snapped his neck. Hopefully, when he woke up, he wouldn't even remember this. He was distraught over the loss of his crew and suffering from survivor's guilt.

Beau had stepped in front of his family in his bow tie and suit ready to sacrifice himself to keep them safe. Lily exhaled and nodded to Nora and Mary Louise to siphon the sleeping sleep on the Jack and Ollie. They put their hands over the wolves and siphoned away the spell in seconds.

In her tight English accent, Nora shared, "Give them a few moments to wake up. They should be fine."

Mary choked out a relieved thanks when the boys were finally opening their eyes.

Lily turned back to Marcel, "Okay, what can you tell us?"

"You really want your Malcolm from prison world and the Geminis off your back, right? Well, let's get the ascendent and get Malcolm out. Then, we need to break the reason that the Geminis want Kai, for the merge. All they really need is for Kai to die, right? Well, if he became vampire, he couldn't merge with his twin," Marcel began.

Freya clutched onto Keelin's arm. What was Marcel thinking? She didn't Kai to have to turn. That was an awful plan.

Even Lily was horrified, "No, the boy has his whole life ahead of him. There has to be a better way."

"There is. It just so happens that in another Guerrera vault, Diego, here, found something else. Something that is priceless, the cure for vampirism," Marcel smiled in triumph.

"What?" Rebekah breathed in shock. Would Marcel really use this gift on Kai? What if it was tainted? No one knew for sure what was in it or what it was.

"So, we can turn Kai and then give him the cure," Marcel grinned.

"But wouldn't his blood be able to cure other vampires?" Freya asked.

"We don't know. It's not a perfect plan, but it's the best we got," Marcel said plainly.

"As long as the boy is human and can achieve his dreams, I'm in," Lily said offering her small gloved hand to Marcel. He lifted it to his lips and kissed it.

"Then, we have a deal," Marcel concurred.

"Jackson! Are you awake?" Hayley pressed. The boys were slowly getting to their feet and drinking from bottles of water.

"I'm awake...Grandma, is that you? What happened?" Jackson said blurry eyed and confused.

"Yes, Son, I'm here. What's the last thing that you remember?" Mary asked.

"Jeez, I remember being a wolf and running in the Bayou. Feeding," Jackson said.

"Hello, beautiful, what's your name?" Oliver croaked out.

Hayley and Mary looked at each other.

"Oliver, you don't remember me?" Hayley asked.

"Oh, I wouldn't forget such a pretty face, darlin'," Oliver went on.

Hayley saw Jackson looking at her in confusion, "Do we know you? You look familiar. Did you break the curse?"

Mary patted Jackson's back, "You'll don't remember Hayley? Turning back to human? Nothing?"

"No, ma'am," Oliver said confirming with Jack. Oliver did remember everyone else including Tommy, so it had to just be their recent memories wiped.

"Maybe it will come back to them?" Hayley said with concern. Davina was on her way over with Josh. They explained the situation.

Hayley spotted the red-haired twins and growled.

Mary put a restraining arm on her, "You don't know which one siphoned you, girl. Let it go!"

"I can kick both their asses into the water!" Hayley ranted.

"No, you can't. They will just drain you. Know when you are overpowered," Mary whispered.

Dana and Rachael made their way over. Dana stepped near Hayley.

"It was me. I'm the one who siphoned you. I'm sorry, I didn't try to hurt anymore," Dana confessed.

"You little bitch, you left me for dead in the fucking swamp. If these guys hadn't found me...," Hayley roared.

This time, it was Jackson who calmed Hayley, "Miss, I'm sorry. I don't know what is wrong, but can I help?"

Hayley ignored him, "If you want my forgiveness, help Jack and Ollie. Their memories are wiped."

Dana nodded and asked Jackson if she could touch him, he agreed.

"I think there is some residue of the sleeping spell. Sister, help me," Dana pleaded.

Rachael and Dana siphoned the remaining magic from the boys until their memories were fully restored.

"Jack?" Hayley said hopefully.

"Hayley, oh my god! It's you!" Jackson said grabbing her tightly and spinning her around.

"Yeah, it is," Hayley said. She now realized that not being remembered was almost the same as being dead. She nodded her thanks to Dana when Jackson finally stopped spinning her.

The Heretics used a small portion of the wolf blood to enter the vault and get the ascendent that held Malcolm. Using a spell prepared for the purpose and drawing from the magic of the four dead vampires, they were able to bring him back. He was not in good condition and they ended up taking him back on one of the stretchers in plans of reviving him later.

"We can get him someone to feed off of," Marcel offered.

"No, thank you, Mr. Gerald. My family tends to be made up of rippers, we cannot tolerate human blood, so I feed them small portions of human blood and animal blood. It's not easy to live like that, but it keeps us honest," Lily announced.

Marcel blinked, "I admire your self-discipline. That shows difficult."

"That's the whole reason the Geminis imprisoned us in the first place, our unending appetites...You know what a ripper can do while in a frenzy, so we really have no choice. I have to have firm consequences in place with my children to make sure they adhere to my rules. After all, it's for their own good," Lily reasoned.

"Yes, of course," Marcel concurred.

"When shall we meet again? I am planning to make my home again in Mystic Falls. However, we may have some affairs to settle here in New Orleans for the next few weeks," Lily said.

"We'll be in contact. You have my cell phone information," Marcel said.

"Please accept my apologies for any previous unpleasantness. I accept any responsibility for my children's overzealousness. Now, we best tend to dear Malcolm here. Thank you for your assistance," Lily smiled graciously.

The Compound

Late Afternoon

In part to make up for leaving the wolves out of the last party he had, Marcel insisted the werewolves join them at the compound for dinner.

Mary couldn't help being impressed by the massive house and accepted a tour from Marcel who showed her everything from the old library to the dungeons below.

"You vamps are a piece of work, I'll give you that," Mary laughed.

"Well, we have lived here for over a 150 years," Marcel admitted.

"True, true. I never had a chance to thank you for helping the boys and agreeing to the moonlight rings. I know this might be the last chance the kids have in the city, so thank you," Mary said.

"You're welcome, ma'am. But maybe it doesn't have to be. You wolves are no more threat than witches are to vamps. I mean, I don't see why you have to be imprisoned in the Bayou. Maybe it's time, we all grow the hell up and learn to get along together? Mary, would you join me in the next faction meeting?" Marcel asked sincerely. He extended his arm to walk her back into the courtyard to join the rest of the party.

"Why Mr. Gerald, are you treating me as an equal? I would be honored to represent the wolves at the next meeting," Mary said accepting his arm. It was hard to resist this charming man, especially when he came bearing an offer like that. If wolves could walk free, then Aiden and Josh would be very happy to hear that themselves.

Keelin and Freya sat at a small table with Rachael and Dana.

"I'm really proud of you both for helping. And Dana, I'm also proud of you for making up with Hayley," Freya shared.

"Well, she did almost kill her," Rachael added.

Keelin scolded, "Rachael, can you let your sister accept a compliment?"

"Yeah, sorry. Good job, Dana," Rachael said without her signature sarcasm.

Dana was now embarrassed,"Thanks. I like helping. I wonder if our coven could have used us for good instead of trying to get rid of us, what things would have been like?"

Freya put her hand over both of their hands, "Girls, I can never justify what they did, but it was their loss. Thanks for sitting with us. Now, you can go hang with the other kids."

Dana and Rachael got up and went to sit with Davina, Josh, Aiden, Hayley, Jack, Tommy, and Oliver.

Freya speculated, "Rachael listens to you better than me."

"Maybe she gets an aggressive wolf vibe from me?" Keelin suggested lightly.

"Ha, I don't think so. I think you just...command respect, Doctor. Thank you for coming here with me. It means a lot," Freya confessed.

"I love it here. I know how much you love your family, Freya. I would never ask you to set them aside, and I love how you have included me in your family. That means a lot to me," Keelin added.

Freya got up and moved closer to her. She didn't need to reply in words.

The party went on into the night. Josh drove the wolves home after everyone had a good time. Marcel and Rebekah promised them all they would do it again soon.

Sunday Evening

Kol called Freya after dinner and filled her in on the whole bet incident. He told her about Kai. She was especially not happy to hear about the girls' part in it.

Keelin was there when she was talking to Kol. After she got off the phone, she was at a loss about what to do.

"Oh Keelin, my brothers punished the boys, Kai more than once, over this. What do I do?" Freya said plopping down on the arm chair in the room they were sharing.

Keelin cringed, "I can't tell you that, babe. They had plenty of time to tell you. They could have been the victims and they turned the table on their brother. He kind of deserved it. But the switching identities and the changing clothes at school? That's sneaky, too. I think that's a trust issue...it takes time for that to build up on both sides."

"Thanks. I think that is what bothers me the most, the sneakiness and lying. Plus, Kol said they got over two thousand dollars. Where is that money? I'm afraid to find out. I'll go talk to them now," Freya grimaced.

Keelin patted her, "Do what you need to do. The girls did help yesterday. But they also had chances to come clean. They are going to be staying here with Marcel and Rebekah for a few weeks, they need to know where they stand with you in the meantime."

Freya nodded, "That is true."

Freya went to the guest bedroom where the twins were staying.

"Girls, I need to talk to you. Come sit down," Freya commanded gently.

"Are we in trouble?" Rachael asked with some fear in her eyes.

"Kol called me from Mystic Falls. The whole bet story is out in the open. Where is the money?" Freya asked.

Dana and Rebekah looked at each other. Dana got up and got her purse. It was filled with cash.

"That's a lot of money! What were you planning on doing with it?" Freya scolded.

"Spend it! Buy some souvenirs, have some fun. Live a little," Rachael explained.

"What Kai was planning to do to you was wrong. If I would have punished you mistakenly, I would have felt awful. But what you did was wrong, too. Why didn't you just come to me?" Freya pressed.

Dana flushed, "We were mad at him. I risked a lot to get him out of the prison world and it seems like all he cares about is hanging with the guys. Making sure they think he is cool. I didn't think you would actually paddle him if 'almost' did something and we thought he deserved to be taken down a notch."

"Well, believe me, he got his, several times. My brothers don't go as easy on the boys as perhaps I go on you. Maybe that has been a mistake? You're switching outfits at school, identities, setting up your brother, betting on punishments, and...? Anything else I should know? Because I am trusting you to behave yourself while you are here and now I'm not sure if I can leave you," Freya admitted.

Rachael appealed, "No! You can trust you. We just wanted Kai to learn a lesson about messing with us. He wanted to see me get it for something I didn't even do because he thought I was being a bitch to him. It wasn't even me, that was Dana. We've always switched places, it's a twin thing. We're sorry. We won't do it again."

Freya softened, "Have I asked too much of you? Is that it? Is it too much pressure?"

Dana asserted, "No, we can handle it. We should have just told the truth. I guess it never occurred to us, to be honest. We're just used to lying, scheming, and covering things up. Sorry."

"Thank you for being honest now. I hate to do this the night before Keelin and I are leaving, but I think you girls earned a spanking. I want you to take your showers and put on your pajamas. I'll be in before bed and then you are going to right to sleep," Freya ordered.

"But we were going to watch the movie!" Rachael whined.

"I'm sorry, honey. No movie tonight. Now go get ready before you get a warm up," Freya warned. Rachael's mouth popped open to argue, but Dana elbowed her.

Freya went to get some salve and something to spank them with. The two siphon vampires would be immune to a licking from her hand alone.

"Rebekah, Marcel, I'm sorry to bother you. Kol called from home and it seems the girls were naughtier than I knew before we left. I'm afraid I'm going to have to spank them. Can I have some of that salve back? Also, do you happen to have a paddle?" Freya inquired.

Thirty minutes later, Freya came back in the girls' room with the salve, a towel, and the paddle. It was rounded on the end on only 9 inches long and less than four inches wide, but Freya hoped it would impress telling the truth to her girls.

"What is that?" Dana asked in horror. Freya wanted to smile at their hair in braids and their matching striped cotton pajamas that they were wearing. They had button down shirt and embroidered names on the pockets, compliments of their Uncle Elijah's tailor.

"It's an old butter paddle that the cook here used to use to well, stir butter. It worked pretty well from what I hear," Freya reported.

"Freya, we're sorry. You don't have to paddle us. We'll make up with Kai. We'll call him right away," Rachael whined.

"Honey, your brother got punished more than once over this incident. I will expect all three of you on your best behavior for a good long while. And yes, you will make up but not tonight. Now, who's first?" Freya asked.

Dana raised her hand, "I started it all. I could have just told him it was me instead of fooling him."

Freya pulled out a straight backed wooden chair from along the wall. It had rungs on the bottom and looked perfect for her purpose.

"Rachael, you can also come here. I'm going to do the salve and then you can go stand in the corner," Freya informed her.

Freya sat down in the chair and pulled Dana to her. She pulled down her pj pants and underwear and coated her backside with salve. Since Freya was human, the vervain in the salve did not affect her at all. She did the same to Rachael and then ordered her into the corner. Freya put the towel over her lap as the salve did have a flowery smell to it and could get everywhere. She put the paddle down to the left of the chair and guided Dana over her knee after pushing her pj pants and underwear further down to her knees.

"I'm not going to waste a lot of time talking, but I do love you. I want you to tell me the truth and be honest. Lying is never going to get you anywhere but over my knee," Freya promised.

Freya gave Dana a chance to grip on to the rungs of the chair. Her feet were supported by the floor which was slightly more comfortable than them being suspended in the air, but Dana was anxious to get this over with. She felt Freya's hand rest on her backside a moment, and then felt her tapping it.

Crack! Dana gasped as the first series of whacks covered her backside. The salve slowed her healing and made her behind more sensitive. Dana found herself wiggling and pressing her feet into the carpet trying not to move just from the simple hand spanking. Dana knew she had to keep her hands down, but it was a fight to not reach back. Freya was not speaking, just swatting. After two minutes of a mild warm-up, Freya paused. Dana made a whining sound as Freya ordered her to hand her the round wooden paddle.

Dana felt the smooth wood pat her right cheek and clenched.

Pop! The butter paddle left a red mark.

Freya then rested the paddle against her left cheek and cracked it down.

Pop! Another red blotch followed now matching the color on the other side.

Dana got eight more firm whacks on the center of both cheeks.

Pop! Pop! Pop! Pop! Pop! Pop! Pop! Pop!

Freya was going slowly and methodically and by the end, Dana was crying. Freya dropped the paddle and ordered her to shuffle to the corner with her pjs still at her knees.

Freya used the exact same procedure on Rachael of a two minute hand spanking and ten whacks with the paddle. As Freya turned Rachael's white bottom a bright red, she felt a piercing love for these girls. It took everything in her not to stop whacking and just give in to their cries. But she knew she needed to follow though. As vampires, both girls could have taken more, but the salve rendered them almost human for a while. Rachael cried as Dana did. Freya gave her a minute to settle down over her knee and then stood her up and helped her pulled up her pants.

Freya pulled Rachael down on her lap and hugged her.

"I'm sorry I had to do that, Rachael. I love you and know you are a good person. Can you promised to tell me the next time something is going on? Cause if you don't, you can expect a lot worse spanking," Freya said hugging her.

"S-Sorry, I-I'll tell you next time," Rachael promised. Freya wanted to believe her, but she knew it would take time. She really didn't want to leave these girls here. Maybe she and Kai could fly back this weekend? She led Rachael to her bed and pull her in and tucked her in.

Freya went to the corner and pulled up Dana's pjs gently. She sat on Dana's bed and had Dana lay with her. Freya held her and told her that she loved her again.

"You can come to me about things. I swear I will listen, okay?" Freya said. Dana let Freya kiss her forehead and rub her back as she fell asleep.

Rebekah peeked in. Freya got up and put back the chair. Rebekah grabbed the salve and threw the towel in the hamper.

"Let's leave the paddle on the dresser. Maybe it will be an incentive for them to behave?" Freya offered.

Rebekah smiled, "I doubt it, but nice try. I think it's wine time. Hurry up, we're waiting for you."

Freya smiled and let her little sister take her by the arm. Wine sounded exactly what she needed now. She cast one last look at the girls, now both duly chastised and sleeping and felt okay. Maybe better than okay?
