Chapter 305: Arc 18: Luffy Goes Out of Control?! Sneaking into Kaido's Banquet

As planned, Kin'emon and Denjiro split up their forces, in eastern and southern directions.

"All right, let's get going too." Luffy declared.

"Before that, Luffy." Franky cut in. "I have super toys for an occasion like this. Let's put them to good use."

"You're so well-prepared, Franky." Sanji was impressed.

"Let's get going." Nami agreed.

"I'm the one who'll take Kaido's head." Kid headed off with his crew.

"And me." Killer added.

"That bastard." Luffy cursed. "Damn, Jaggy!" he stormed towards Kid. "Why are you going your own way? You're not following Kin'emon and the others' plan."

"I don't care about the samurai." Kid glared.

"Everything in the Land of Wano is at stake in this battle." Luffy reminded. "Do you have any idea what they've been through?"

"Don't get the wrong idea about us." Kid retorted. "While we appreciate Thalassa Sasha for healing Killer, we're not gonna join hands with anyone. We came here to take down Kaido and happened to be headed the same way as you all. That's all there is to it."

"Those fools!" Luffy snarled. "I'm gonna go stop them."

"He'll only make things worse." Zoro remarked. "I'm gonna go stop him. Luffy!" he took off after his waylaid Captain.

"Don't worry, Jinbe." Sasha assured. "You'll get use to this... somehow."

Underwater...

"What's the matter, Kiku?" Kawamatsu inquired.

"I'm a bit worried about Luffytaro." Kiku admitted. "If Tarao's prediction is correct, he should be heading to Kaido's castle head on by now. If we use Luffytaro who we're indebted to as a decoy and something ends up happening to him..."

"There's no point in worrying about it." Law cut in. "Idiots won't go down that easily."

On Onigashima...

"Wait!" Luffy roared, dashing up the staircase past the row of torii gates. "Jaggy!" he stopped short at the end of the passageway to find the Gifters partying away.

"Damn Luffy." Zoro cursed, pushing his way through the partying Gifters. "Where did he wander off to?"

At the Onigashima pier...

"What's taking you so long?" Nami whined. "Hurry up, Franky."

"Everybody's already left." Sanji reminded.

"Give me a second." Franky was at the steering wheel. "We can catch up to them, if we use this." he shifted the Thousand Sunny's Soldier Deck to Dock 4 and 5, revealing the Kurosai FR-U IV and Brachio Tank V.

"I saw those during the battle at the Fish-Man Island." Jinbe instantly recognized both armored mobile weapons.

"I'm the tank commander." as usual, Chopper took the steering of the Brachio Tank V.

"I'm the sniper." Usopp took control of the Tank's gun.

"Now, we're all ready." Franky grinned. "Where's Luffy?" he looked around.

"Because Eustass Kid and his people went into the island head-on..." Jinbe started.

"He'll definitely make things worse!" Sanji, Nami, Usopp and Chopper fumed.

"Roronoa Zoro said what you just said and..." Jinbe added.

"He'll just lose his way for sure!" the quartet chorused.

"Come on..." Nami sighed. "Those two went off by themselves. Who knows what's gonna happen?"

"Would you two like a ride on the back?" Franky drove up to Sasha and Robin.

"I'm okay." Brook took the back seat.

"Whatever." Franky sighed. "Commander Chopper, meet me at the back of the island and we'll combine these vehicles."

"Let's get going, then." Sasha turned to Robin and Jinbe after the others took off.
