Louisiana Bayou

Tommy was still angry with his brother. He was sick and tired of everyone protecting him and treating him like a baby. That crazy ass vamp had ripped out his throat and he was fine. Sure, Josh had healed him, but it's not like Tommy was that freaked out. His brother Aiden, was the one who needed protecting. That's why Tommy needed the blood from the pregnant wolf.
"Eve, Miss Eve? It's Tommy, can I come in?" Tommy said tentatively.
"Hiya, Tommy, whatcha doin'? Does your grandmomma know your here, darlin'?" Eve said as she let the boy into her small cabin.
Tommy flushed to lie to Eve. He couldn't do it, so he dodged the question.
"Well, ma'am. I just come to ask for a favor. You know, your kin, you was telling us about. Your niece, who is pregnant, where does she live?" Tommy asked innocently.
"Why, she ain't real far. Why, Tommy? You best tell me what's going on, right now," Eve said firmly. Tommy's face fell.
"But I'm really gonna catch it. Will you still help me?" Tommy pressed.
"Darlin', you best tell me the truth right now. You are worrying me. Your momma and daddy didn't bring you and Aiden up to be liar and cowards! No spill it," Eve demanded.
Tommy broke, "So we need moonlight rings to protect us. We need the blood of a wolf who don't turn. We tried a hybrid but that messes up him. So I thought if your niece would let us try, we could all be protected. Then, my brother could go in the city with Josh."
"What if that spell fooled with my niece and her baby? Tommy, did you ever think of that, boy?" Eve scolded.
Tommy hadn't. "No, ma'am. I'm sorry, I didn't."
Eve saw how upset Tommy was. Tommy come here and have a seat.
"Bayou wolves have been in danger for a long time. But one thing that put us in danger the most is wolves not trusting wolves. You trying to pull this and not tell me or my niece the truth, that is the kind of nonsense that leads to infightin'. If Crescents and other packs is to survive, we gotta come together and start trusting each other," Eve said.
"I'm awfully sorry. I guess I wasn't thing right. I just wanted to be the hero for once, instead of being the baby. Now, all I did was make you mad and cause trouble. Ain't nobody rightly knows where I am," Tommy admitted.
Eve smiled, "Come on. I'll drive you back to Mary's. She ain't gonna be happy, but you meant well. You know, Tommy. Your plan might work, but it might not. The point is, Tom, is that what you're trying to do, ain't just for you, it's for the pack. Did you ever consider that you might be an alpha?"
Tomma laughed, "Nah, ma'am, Jackson is an alpha and maybe some of the other guys, but me? I don't think I have that kind of courage. I'm scared to go home now, that's the truth."
Eve chortled, "Boy, if Mary was my grandma and I took off, I'd be quaking in my boots, too. Look, you done wrong, but for the right reasons. Courage means facing your fears. Now, get in the truck and let's go face your fear together."
"Yes, ma'am. Come to think of it. My brother ain't gonna be real happy with me either," Tommy trembled.
"Brother? I think you mean brothers. Look, they are all there waiting for you," Eve added as she pulled up to Mary's place.
"Tommy, get your ass out of that truck," Mary hollered in relief.
"Grandma, I'm really sorry," Tommy said.
Eve jumped out and tried to explain the whole thing.
"Blood from your pregnant niece? Does he not know who her husband is? Fool boy would have gotten himself killed," Mary grumbled.
Aiden grabbed Tommy, for a second Tommy thought his brother was going to slap him, but Tommy roughly hugged him. Then, Jack and Ollie grabbed him and swing him around in a bear hug. Hayley and Mason watched smiling.
Hayley kissed Tommy on the cheek, "You had us bad worried, Tom. We thought you go kidnapped."
"I'm sorry. I thought I could help, but Miss Eve set me straight," Tommy confessed.
"Well, good. Now, y'all are just in time to get on the school bus if you hurry," Mary reminded them.
"Here's your stuff, Tom," Jackson said.
Tommy took it and followed the others to the bus stop. When they were safely on the bus, Tommy breathed a sign of relief.
"Don't be too relieved," Aiden said from the seat behind Tommy.
"Why? Mary don't even seem that mad," Tommy said in relief.
Jackson said, "Tommy, her arthritis is real bad. She couldn't even wash clothes yesterday. Me or your brother is gonna have to take care of this."
Tommy was alarmed, "What do you mean? 'Take care of this'...Come on, guys. I was trying to help."
Oliver now cut in, "Oh, you're getting a butt warming tonight. It's either one of us or Mason offered to 'help out.'" The guys all laughed.
"Come on, guys. You're scaring him. We've all made mistakes. Cut him a break," Hayley defended.
"He should be scared! Did you see how big Mason's arms are? He said he thinks someone ought to take a belt to you for putting this stunt," Ollie grinned.
Tommy paled, "Come on, Oliver. That ain't funny. Can't I wait for Mary to get better or maybe I can do all her chores as my punishment? Yeah, help out a lot more. I won't complain none."
Aiden clamped a hand down on his brother's shoulder, "Stop fussing, I'm going to give you the lickin' I should have giving you last night when you were acting up. I thought maybe I was being too hard on you. Now I see I was too soft. And if act up and run away, then yeah, I am gonna let Mason take his belt to your little ass. You got it, little bro?"
Tommy turned glumly and nodded. Aiden squeezed his shoulder a little and Tommy put it hand over it.
"You'll live," Aiden promised letting go of his brother's shoulder gently.
"Now, can we talk about Tommy's plan? That blood of a pregnant wolf could be the key. Can someone bring this up with Josh and Davina?" Hayley asserted.
"Yeah, I'll tell Josh about it. I don't know. it could work," Aiden smiled.
Tommy looked out the window and wondered if his brother was really going to follow through. He remembered that none of his homework was done and opened up his backpack to all least get started on some of it. It was going to be a long day.
Bayou
Tommy had checked his traps and didn't rush home. They had dinner and Josh came by. Everyone acted normal, but now that Tommy paid attention, he noticed the older kids helping Mary more. Why had he never noticed before?
Josh quietly spoke to Mary in the kitchen. He gave her a brown paper bag of herbs for a special tea.
Mary told Tommy to do his homework and get ready for bed. She came in and found Tommy sitting morosely on the bed in his sweatpants and a t-shirt.
"Oh Tommy, ain't nobody mad. We was just worried. We didn't know what the hell you were up to. Don't scare us like that again. Eve's niece's husband is a big brute of a wolf, if you tried to take her blood... Why the man would have damn near kilt you. You're a smart boy, but you gotta be mature too out here. I wish I could just take care of this, but I can't. My hands, they are bad. Josh thinks I need to go to a doctor in the city," Mary paused.
Tommy's eyes spilled over with unshed tears. "I'm sorry, Grandma. I didn't mean to upset you. I wish your hands didn't hurt. I never knew..."
Mary sat and pulled the young wolf to her, "Shh, it's okay. I'm going to be fine. It's your behind you ought to worry about. Your brother is going to give you a licking and he promised he was going to do a good job. Because we can't have this happen again. Now, you fight him and he's gonna call Mason in to finish. Can you do this?"
"Yes, ma'am. I won't cause no more trouble," Tommy vowed.
"I love you, Son," Mary said getting up quickly.
"Love you, too. Goodnight," Tommy called out.
A few minutes later, Aiden came in. Instead of looking nervous and scared, he looked determined.
Aiden sat on the bed and looked at Tommy. "This isn't any fun for me, either, Tom. I'm going to do exactly what Daddy did to me when I used to get a spankin'."
Tommy did the math, "But you couldn't have been more than nine, Aiden. I'm 14!"
"Do you want me to get that switch or fly swatter? Hmm, because I would rather only do what was done to me. Now, you can get yourself over my lap," Aiden ordered.
Tommy's courage failed him, he couldn't do this. Aiden saw his panic and gripped his bicep and pulled him over until his hands reached the floor. Tommy's felt his pants and underwear sliding down and then Aiden locked his legs in between his. Had his brother down this before? He seemed like he knew what he was doing.
Smack! Smack!
"AHHHH!" Tommy yelled out as Aiden laid down a blistering smack in the middle of each cheek. That left an instant red mark that began to heal.
"You try to stay still or you will get spanked a lot harder," Aiden ordered. Whap! Whap! Whap! Whap!
He smacked Tommy a lot less hard before asking him, "What rules did you break this morning?" Smack! Smack!
"I left the house without permission," Tommy gasped.
"And?" Aiden continued spanking. Pop! Pop!
"I started to lie to Miss Eve. I was gonna skip school. I didn't do my homework. I thought I could save us," Tommy blurted as the whacks to his bare bottom continued unabated. Swat! Swat! Tommy tried to shifted but Aiden's legs were pinning him. Whack! Whack!
He began to cry from the sting and the shame. He had never been spanked like this and it hurt worse than he imagined. Tommy imagined that his brother would stop the spanking as soon as he cried, but it seemed as he was getting spanked harder and faster smacks. His bottom felt like it was burning and it was unbearable, but he couldn't move out of the way. Tommy heard himself yelling out and whimpering, but he couldn't remain silent.
Tommy was blubbering now and begging for it to stop. Aiden glanced at the clock, he had only been spanking Tommy for less than three minutes. He slowed the smacks and began swatting across both cheeks. Tommy seemed like he couldn't even breath. Aiden stopped as his hand ached and Tommy's butt was a bright red on his lower cheeks.
"Are you going to pull a stunt like this again?" Aiden prodded.
"Noooooo, just s-stop. I'm sorrry," Tommy wailed.
"Ten more and we're done," Aiden said popping Tommy's behind as hard as he dared. Whack! Smack1 Smack! Smack! Whack! Crack! crack! crack! All the worry of the morning came out in those swats. That was the only way Aiden could continue.
Tommy quit after eight and then gave his brother two pats. Tap. Tap. He couldn't do this anymore. Four minutes, he saw looking at the clock. Aiden knew Tommy would heal and carefully pulled up his pants as Tommy sobbed. Aiden pulled Tommy up onto the bed and cling to him.
"Sorry, you'll be okay. I promise," Aiden said as he realized he was crying, too. He held Tommy and then lay him on his stomach rubbing his back until they both fell asleep.

New Orleans, Louisiana
St. Anne's Church
"Before you go in there, you need to prepare yourself," Sean said.
Cami covered her face with her hands, "Oh my God, Sean. Just tell us."
"We had to sedate him again. He was talking gibberish. Something about curses, a huntress, a tribrid, wolves that could turn any night of the month. His eyes were rolling back into his head," Sean said troubled.
Marcel looked suspicious, "His eyes rolled back. It almost sounds like what happens to a seer. Did this hex allow witches to possess him? I've been around hexed people before, they usually foam at the mouth and lose it. None of this."
Klaus nodded, "Basitianna is a crafty one. If need be, we can call on the Regent Vincent to see what they did with her. I'm sure they have contained her to the best of their ability. Sean, how are you holding up?"
"Not good. I can't sleep and when I do, I have nightmares, too. Uncle Kieran was like a father to me. Since our parents moved, he's been there for me day and night," Sean admitted.
Cami embraced Sean tightly, "He would want us to get through this."
"I know," Sean whispered.
Freya had been standing back respectfully.
"I have a tea that may help and a few crystals that may focus his energy. Cami, Sean, with your permission. I can try," Freya offered.
"Sean? Please," Cami pressed.
Sean nodded and took Freya in to administer the tea and set up the crystals. She cleaned off Kieran and gave him a few minutes to calm down. Freya took his hands and prayed to the ancestors of New Orleans to grant this human some respite from his suffering. Witches were servants of nature, they were not to cause harm, Freya implored them. Soon, she heard Kieran's breathing steady.
"Let them in, Sean," Freya smiled.
When they entered the attic of St. Anne's, they found Kieran tied to the bed. He was seemingly asleep, but he looked peaceful.
"Camille, Niklaus, you're here. Come close," Kieran groaned in pain.
"Oh Uncle K.," Cami wept kneeling before him with Klaus by her side.
"Cami, let me marry you. Before I go, I promised you that I would preside at your wedding. Allow me that one last honor. I had a vision that Niklaus would protect you. You will bear him children somehow and then when the time is right, he will turn you. You will join him in eternal life..."
Kieran dissolved into rambling. The couple stepped out into the hallway outside of the attic room.
"Klaus, did you hear him? He wants to marry us," Cami repeated in wonder.
"Camille, I remembered that this was your dream and I have made some small arrangements. If you would do me the honor, we could be wed tomorrow," Klaus informed her.
"Oh Klaus, could we? My parents should be here tonight. But what about the children?" Cami asked.
"We could have a big reception at the house this summer and take our vows again. Or I could send the jet?" Klaus smiled.
"Send the jet. Please, I feel that this is the right thing to do," Cami breathed.
"I hope you don't mind, my love, but Rebekah planned a reception at the Compound, just in case," Klaus said lightly.
"If this is what my uncle wants, we cannot deny his last wish," Cami said bravely. She had her hand on her stomach.
"What is it, Camille? Do you feel something?" Klaus asked. He hadn't dared to hope. They never used protection because vampires could not procreate.
"Listen, my love," Cami said. Klaus knelt down and put his ear to his stomach. It was faint, so faint that he could barely detect it, but he was not only an Original vampire, he was the Hybrid.
"It's our child, isn't it?" Klaus said in awe.
"I wasn't sure, but you've dreamt of this child, too, haven't you?" Cami smiled.
"I have...half human and 1/4 witch and 1/4 wolf and I'm not sure where the vampire side fits in," Klaus breathed.
"I forget that you are half witch from your mother," Cami said.
"Elijah and I never really triggered our witch side. We were not much interested in spells and all that. I preferred painting, in truth. This child, Camille, is a miracle. You are my miracle," Klaus said with love.
Freya ran out, "Something is going wrong. Cami, Klaus, if you want Kieran to marry you. It needs to happen now. I think something is sucking the life force out of him."
"Okay, um, Klaus, let's do this," Cami said strongly. Klaus offered her his arm and escorted her back into the dusty attic, where they became man and wife.
Shorty after, Father Kieran died. They decided to have an Irish wake and a wedding celebration at the Compound the next day.
Wednesday
"I've told Elijah and Kol, but we can surprise the children when they get back," Klaus said kissing his blushing bride as she woke up the next morning. Klaus handed her a cup of coffee. She sipped it and then put it down. She didn't think caffeine was good for the baby.
"Do you think they will be happy? I am caught between the joy of you and the baby and then guilt about my uncle. Yet, somehow, I know he wouldn't want me to be sad. Sean, too," Cami revealed.
"I think Freya and Keelin want Sean to marry them today, too. They were thinking about doing the justice of the peace, but he said it would be a great joy to him," Klaus smiled pulling on his pants.
"Now, if we could only get Elijah and Vanessa here," Cami smiled.
"I know. It will happen. There is more. Marcel said that Diego is dead. So something happened in Mystic Falls. He wouldn't give me the details, but he said everything is fine. Now, enough about that, let's go to breakfast. After all, you are eating for two," Klaus said as he listened at her stomach. Louder today, he heard it. Another heartbeat.
The day passed in a blur of congrats and condolences. Later, Klaus would remember meeting Cami and Sean's parents. They were both very warm and kind. They had no clue about the supernatural. Kieran had written a letter to his brother to explain that he had a disease.
Many people came in and out and talked about Father K. They wanted to keep things upbeat, but since it was so sudden, the tears could not always be helped. So many people told stories of how Father K. helped them. After the wake portion of the day, it was time for more nuptials.
"Sean has agreed to marry Keelin and me. We know it is not technically legal here sadly, but in the spirit of how Father K. lived, we thought this would be the best way to celebrate Keiran's life," Freya announced.
Freya and Keelin exchanged vowed they had written. And unlike Klaus and Cami's marriage, it was not rushed. They exchanged rings.
Rebekah and Marcel brought out a giant cake that both couples cut. Davina asked Rebekah why Marcel and her never got married.
"We feel like we already are married, luv," Rebekah joked. But as she looked at Marcel across the room, she knew this was his dream, too. He had always wanted to marry her in a big wedding in front of everyone. She mouthed "I love you." Marcel grinned his grin and mouthed back "I know."
Klaus saw the whole thing, "You should, you know. Get married. I will never forgive myself for the years I kept you apart. I would do anything to take those years back."
"Nik, they just made us appreciate each other more. You know, in a way, you were right. I was immature. My brain was 16 years old for centuries. It almost felt until it was that we adopted Davina that I 'grew up" a little more, so to speak. It's still hard. There are times when I want to just say to her, 'Hey, let's go to a club' instead of 'Do your homework' but with Marcel by my side, I do the right thing," Rebekah said proudly.
"I'm glad, dear Sister. I just wish you all could come home for good," Klaus added.
"Maybe for a wedding present, we shall? Let me talk to Marcel. Nik, remember those plans for a dream house Marcel gave me in like 1910?" Rebekah prompted.
"Yes, of course. They broke my heart at the time. Now, I understand," Klaus admitted.
"What do you think about Marcel and me building a house on the property in Mystic Falls?" Rebekah mused.
"We own 50 acres just on that lot, so aye, it's a possibility," Klaus said. If that was what he needed to do, he would do it.
"Congrats again...Like I said, let me talk to Marcel," Rebekah smiled.
Everyone danced late until the night. Everyone did toasts to the newly wed couples and Kieran.
"Cami, why aren't you drinking?" Freya smiled. Marcel stopped and listen and looked at Rebekah.
"I can't bloody believe it," Rebekah said in awe. "It's a miracle."
Freya froze, "No, really? How is that possible? Oh my god, so maybe Tyler didn't get Caroline pregnant before...he became hybrid. Wow! Congrats!"
Keelin looked at her phone, "More good news. We need to head back to Mystic Falls."
Davina looked around and yawned, "Why?"
"That will be a surprise," Keelin said.
Marcel smiled, "There might be a lot of surprises coming up. But before we go up to bed. I want to give one last toast to our human faction leader and one of my best friends in the world: Father K..." Marcel stopped and composed himself.
"May the road rise to meet you,
May the wind be always at your back.
May the sun shine warm upon your face,
The rains fall soft upon your fields.
And until we meet again,
May God hold you in the palm of his hand," Marcel said before drinking the last of his whiskey.
Everyone ended, "To Father K."
Cami smiled, "Whatever this child be, it's gonna be stuck with the name Keiran or Keira. What do you think, Papa?"
Klaus smiled, "I think that's a beautiful idea, wife. Let's go home."
