"So, we gotta assume they're coming back, right?"

It was Rhodey who spoke this question; after moving into another room, and getting comfortable while they discussed what their next move was. Spencer was sitting down on one of the love seats with Pietro at her side. Spencer had her hand engulfed by his larger hand, and his presence gave her great relief, for some reason Spencer was anxious-happy, but anxious.

Because Rhodey's words filled her belly with dread.

Wanda was standing by the kitchen looking stressed out, and who could blame her? They were after Vision now, and although Spencer was curious how Wanda and Vision relationship had blossomed, right now wasn't the right time. The tension in the room were high, and Spencer felt on alert after Wanda and Vision had informed them about the attack in Scotland.

"And they can clearly find us," Wanda dryly states as her eyes flicker to Vision, who is hovering nearby, looking out of a window, and lost in thought.

"We need all hands on deck," Bruce firmly recommends as he stands in the center of the room, he looks around towards Nat, "Where's Clint?"

Spencer perks up at the mention of her adopted father, "Yeah, where is that old man? I need to call him," Spencer chimes in with a thoughtful expression, "Apparently, Tony and him were co-parenting Cooper while I was gone," Spencer glanced over at Steve, "Where's Frodo?"

"Clint has him, too," Steve answered quietly.

"After the whole Accords situation, he and Scott took a deal," Nat explained with a soft exhalation, "It was too tough on their families, they're on house arrest." Spencer really should get a hold of a phone to call Clint and Laura, they needed to know she was back on Earth and safe.

"Who's Scott?" Bruce asked, confused by this name.

"Ant-Man," Steve supplied easily.

The years had not been kind to her best friend, Spencer thought to herself in a sad whisper. No longer was he wearing the usual bright colors of his Captain America suit, but colors that were muted, and didn't fit the Steve Spencer knew. He had a frickin' beard, too! How many times had Spencer joked about Steve rocking a bread, and Steve would dismiss the idea with a scoff of disbelief? To see him with a beard now was, well, Spencer sure wasn't what to feel.

She just knew that Steve radiated sadness, and that hurt her.

"There's an Ant-Man and a Spider-Man?" Bruce looked shocked and looked at Spencer as if waiting for confirmation.

Spencer nodded with a small smile, before Bruce shook his head, and got back on to the more important topic at hand, "Okay, look," Bruce rubbed his head looking incredibly stressed out, "Thanos has the biggest army in the universe," Bruce is fidgety and restless as he explains this to the group, "And he is not going to stop until he," Bruce stutters momentarily as he looks at a solemn Vision, "Until he gets Vision's Stone." He says in a softer tone, trying to make the impact of his words less hurtful for both Vision and Wanda.

"Well then," Nat says swiftly, "We have to protect him."

"No, we have to destroy it," Vision suddenly speaks before anyone else could speak. Vision is leaning against a pillar, looking outside, but has a hand on where his wound was. I've been giving a good deal of thought to this entity in my head, about its nature. But also, its composition," Everyone listened intently as Vision turned towards Wanda, and moved closer to her, "I think if it were exposed to a sufficiently powerful energy source, something, very similar to its own signature, perhaps," A knowing, almost pleading look comes across Vision's face, and Spencer's heart twists, "Its molecular integrity could fail."

Wanda clenched her jaw tightly, "And you, with it," Spencer closed her eyes, the emotion on their faces made her heart sting painfully, "We're not having this conversation." Wanda rebuffs in a deadly calm voice.

Pietro squeezes Spencer's hand in reassurance-letting her know that he felt the same watching Wanda and Vision right now, but Vision does not budge and continues, "Eliminating the Stone is the only way to be certain that Thanos can't get it."

Both of them had their eyes locked on one another-one willing to pay the price, and the other unwilling to entertain the mere thought of it. "That's too high a price," Wanda rebuttals quietly, not willing to let Vision sacrifice himself.

Spencer glanced at Pietro with a quivering lip-if her and Pietro had been in a similar situation, no, Spencer couldn't even phantom such a thing. It hurt her heart and caused tears to sting in her eyes almost immediately.

Vision reaches out to take Wanda's face softly in his hands, "Only you have the power to pay for it."

Spencer blanches at Vision's cruel words, and Wanda walks away from Vision in obvious distress, and everyone is just as upset as Wanda is, "Thanos threatens half the universe," Vision speaks up to the rest of the room, "One life cannot stand in the way of defeating him."

But Spencer lets go of Pietro's hand and stands up, "I'm not letting that monster take someone else away from me," Spencer spits angrily and meets Vision's somber eyes with a defiant gaze, "Hear me, well, Vision, because we are not bartering your life." Spencer's tone was final and steady, there wasn't any room in her voice for argument.

Spencer trembled-a tumor of power washing through her, and little electrical sparks crackled off of her hands, but she calmed down as soon as the dark clouds began to manifest right outside the facility.

"She's right," Steve says tentatively, "We don't trade lives, Vision."

Vision was looking at Spencer with a gentle, knowing expression before focusing on Steve, "Captain, 70 years ago, you laid down your life to save millions of people. Tell me, why is this any different?" He asks this of Steve, walking towards her best friend, desperate for the group to see that his way was the best way.

And maybe it was, but Spencer would never let that happen. It would destroy Wanda. Spencer sauntered towards Wanda, who was trying to distance herself from the conversation, and pulled the woman into a tight embrace. It was already destroying Wanda, Spencer quietly admitted to herself as Wanda, without hesitation, burrowed her face into Spencer's shoulder.

There was a beat of silence before Bruce spoke up, "Because you might have a choice. Your mind is made up of a complex construct of overlays. J.A.R.V.I.S., Ultron, Tony, me, the Stone. All of them mixed together. All of them learning from one another," His words took a few seconds to sink in, his words brought hope.

Wanda pulled away from Spencer's embrace immediately, "You're saying Vision isn't just the stone?" Wanda dumbed down Bruce's earlier words, hopeful.

Bruce looked confident as he said, "I'm saying that if we take out the stone, there's still a whole lot of Vision left, perhaps the best parts."

"Can we do that?" Nat demanded, ready and eager to follow this theory through.

Wanda reached out to squeeze Spencer's hand, and both women exchanged looks of togetherness, Pietro watched with a gentle smile.

"Not me," Bruce shook his head with a defeated sigh, "Not here." He didn't look too happy to admit this, either.

"You better find someone, and somewhere fast," Rhodey exclaims suddenly, "Ross isn't exactly just gonna let you guys have your old rooms back," Rhodey glances at Spencer, "Well, except for Spencer." He adds in.

Before Spencer could feel hopeless in this shitty predicament, it was Steve who spoke up, "I know somewhere." and as usual, her best friend always had a plan of action.

"Where?" Spencer demanded with wide eyes.

Steve looked at her, and despite the tension in the room, managed to give her a small, knowing smile, "Your friend," Steve revealed, "Your Princely friend."

Spencer's eyes widened, and a smile broke out on her face, "Prince T'Challa? How can he help us?" Spencer asked, slightly excited to see the Prince.

"You'll find out," Steve mused, "Wheels up in fifteen though, I have to make a call." Steve gives an affirmative nod, before marching out of the room.

"Wanda," Vision glides by both women, "May I have a moment in private?" Vision asks softly, eyes zeroing in on Spencer's and Wanda's intertwined hands, "Please?"

Wanda looks scared, but only for a second, before she eases her expression and follows Vision out of the room. Spencer stares after them, and feels a sense of hopelessness in her belly, could they save Vision in time before Thanos and his army arrived at Earth? "Think fast, little spider," Nat's voice cuts through the thick silence.

Spencer reacts swiftly as a sleek, black phone sails through the air and towards her, "You have some calls to make before we leave." Spencer catches the phone with ease, "Your Godfather and fathers' are going to be very relieved to know that you're back home," Nat smiled at her.

"You never let me dye my hair," Spencer found herself musing out loudly.

Sam laughed at that, "You wanted pink hair, remember?"

Rhodey's solemn face twitched into a smile, "I remember that, Spencer threw a hissy fit, too."

Nat cocked an eyebrow, "As if you actually listened to me," Nat remarked coolly, but the older woman had a fond look on her face, "Besides, I think blonde suits me, no?"

Spencer scowled at her mentor, "I prefer your natural red hair."

Nat rolled her eyes, "Everyone does," She grumbles, sauntering over to sit down on one of the chairs, "Better get going, Spencer, we only have fifteen minutes before we leave."

Spencer nods, glancing at Pietro, "I'll be outside," Spencer says softly, before moving to the balcony. She stares intently at the phone, it almost feels alien in her hands, but she quickly turns on the screen, and scrolls through the contacts to dial her father first.

"Natasha, what a surprise," Her father's voice is light, and it makes Spencer's heart constrict tightly in her chest, "Hello? Are you drunk again?" That made her laugh; because Nat loved crank calling her dad and Fury all the time when she was drunk as hell.

"Spencer?" Phil demanded, shocked, "Spencer, is that really you?"

Spencer couldn't help the smile on her face, "Hey, dad," She murmurs with a teary-laughed, "Long time no see," She wipes at her tears with one hand and sniffles, her heart's aching because hearing her father's voice brings a level of comfort that no one could ever comprehend and compete with; it's as if hearing his voice tethers her to the earth and her heart flutters with that steady, safeness that only her father could ever bring her.

Phil lets out a garbled sound, but he's crying, she can instantly tell, "Oh, Spencer-God, where are you? How are you back?" Phil demands through sniffles of his own.

Spencer closes her eyes, feels her wet eyelashes touching her skin, "I don't want to talk about it again, dad, I just...I wanted to hear your voice before," She heaved a sigh as more tears ran down her face, it only occurred to her that this might be the last time she could potentially ever speak to her father again, to ever hear his warm voice.

"Before what?" Phil demanded, on alert on, "Before what, Spencer? Does it have anything to do with what happened in New York yesterday?" Phil rapidly asked.

"So much has happened, dad," Spencer's voice cracks, feeling her hands shake because she misses her dad so fucking much in that moment, it almost physically hurts, "And all I want to do is run to you and feel you hug me, but," Spencer sputters with a pained groaned, "A battle is heading our way, dad, and I don't know if I'll come out of it alive-"

"Spencer, what is going on? You're scaring me, honey," Phil sounded frantic now, "It can't be that bad, can it? I mean, it has to be if you're reacting this way, where are you? I can come to you, honey," He sounds desperate now, but Spencer knew that by the time her father got here, her and the team would be halfway across the country.

Spencer exhaled, trying to find the strength to remain cool and calm, but it was hard. Spencer only had a handful of people she could truly unravel in front of, one of those being her father. She could fall apart in the most violent ways, and her father would always be there to put her back together, without any judgment. "I love you," Spencer murmurs through her drying tears, "I love you so much, and I'm so grateful you were my father," Spencer laments softly, "I'm going to try my best, my fucking best to come back to you, dad," Spencer's free hand is gripping the bar of the glass barrier so tightly, she could feel the metal groaning under her strength.

Phil was quiet, but she could hear his heavy breathing from the other side of the phone call, almost as if he was trying this best not to panic, "Spencer," His voice is broken now, aching, and it stabs her heart, "My beautiful, little girl," He swallows harshly, struggling to form the words that are breaking his heart, "I love you so much, so, so much, please, please come back to me," She opens herself to let his aching words pierce her heart, because she needed the pain to manifest into determination and power.

"I always do," Spencer releases her hold on the metal bar, "I'm sorry, dad, I wish I could be selfish enough to coward from this fight, but," Spencer makes a frustrated noise, "But my rage won't let me," Her voice lowers into a deadly whisper, "I have to avenge the people I've lost or die trying."

Her father laughs, despite how pained it sounded, "You wouldn't be my daughter if you didn't raise hell," His voice wobbles, "Are you with Steve and the team?" He asks quietly, his breathing calming down.

Spencer bobs her head, "Yeah, we're leaving soon, I just wanted to make some calls, but I don't think I have the time to call Clint and Fury, can you call them for me?" Spencer questions with some frustration, but it was mainly aimed towards herself-because she didn't have the strength to hear their voices, it was already the hardest having to tell her father goodbye for what could possibly be the last time.

"Of course," He informs her eagerly, "You tell that Speedster of yours to take care of you, you hear?" He tries to lighten the mood, and it makes Spencer smile sadly.

"I love you, dad."

"I love you, Spencer."

Pietro was the only one who had stayed behind, and as soon as Spencer had stepped back inside, Pietro was there wrapping his arms around her. She sagged against himself, letting herself enjoy the warmth she missed from him so much. They stayed like that for some time, before Wanda called for them a few minutes later, "We're leaving," Wanda voice breaks the silence Pietro and Spencer had wrapped themselves in.

Pietro and Spencer pull away, "Are you okay?" Pietro asks his twin with a soft frown.

Wanda looks troubled, "I will be once we help Vision." She responds thickly.

"Let's get going then," Spencer says firmly, "The sooner, the better, we don't know when Thanos and his army will get here," Spencer reaches for Wanda, grabs her hand, and gives her dear friend a determined look, "We're going to buy as much time as we can for him," Spencer tells Wanda in a dead-serious tone, "I'm not sure how much I can go with my new abilities," She admits softly, "But I'm going to push myself beyond what I can withstand, because I won't let them take him from you."

Wanda stares at the younger woman with a soft smile, because Wanda knows Spencer would do everything within her power to keep her loved one's safe, "I hope we're enough," Wanda admits teary-eyed.

Spencer leaves Pietro and Wanda alone, the twins looked like they needed a moment to themselves, and Spencer needs to get her backpack. Luckily, when Thanos attacked their vessel, Spencer hadn't had time to wear her armor, but she will this time. She would make sure Thanos remembered who she was, and why she was going to murder him. Besides that, Spencer also wanted to give her friends the trinkets she had been collecting in her almost two-year absence.

She hauled ass to her room, grabbed her backpack, dug around for her armor, and was quick to suit up, before heading back to the hanger. It wasn't a surprise that everyone was waiting for her, but before she could apologize, Nat was holding up her phone and taking pictures of Spencer.

"Seriously?" Spencer deadpanned, trying not to laugh.

Nat smirked down at her, "Are you sure you're from Earth?"

"You look badass," Sam grins.

Pietro just stares, his gaze devouring Spencer in a way that has Spencer wishing she had the time to squeeze in a quickie with her man, "It was a gift from Thor and Sif," Spencer gave a sad smile as she walked into the Quinjet.

"It looks good," Steve pats her head affectionately, "An upgrade compared to your old suit." He adds in cheekily.

Spencer laughs, "Tony would disagree!"

It didn't take long for Sam to get them to Wakanda; Spencer had shown everyone her paintings, shown them their trinkets, before putting them back into her backpack for safekeeping. She even teased Bruce on how he mispronounced Wakanda once before during Ultron. "Drop to 2600," Steve is in the front with Sam, who is piloting the Quinjet, "Heading 0-3-0."

"I hope you're right about this," Sam mutters, "Or we're gonna land a lot faster than you want to." The Quinjet passes through a camouflage force field into Wakanda's Golden City's valley, Spencer gasps at the sight as she jumps onto her feet and joins Steve's side.

"It reminds me of Asgard," Spencer murmurs with a sad, but fond smile.

Wakanda is beautiful in a prefect balance between modern technology and primitive tradition, it takes Spencer's breath away as she struggles to see everything that Wakanda has to offer. Sam lands the Quinjet just outside the massive palace, Spencer awes at the beauty and grandeur of it. The Quinjet powers down, and the back ramp lowers to reveal former Prince T'Challa, now King, and along with his Kingsguard.

Steve, Nat, and Spencer are in the front, followed by Bruce, Rhodey, and Pietro, and with Vision and Wanda slowly taking up the rear. Spencer's gaze is automatically on her friend, King T'Challa, who looks genuinely pleased to see her. Spencer is the first one out of the jet, walking hurriedly to embrace her friend.

T'Challa laughs quietly and embraces her with equal fervor, "You look so much better now, Spencer," T'Challa is happy to see her strong and healthy-a complete one eighty from the last time T'Challa saw her.

They pull apart as Spencer beams at the King, "King-hood suits you," Spencer speaks fondly, "Your father would be so proud of you, my friend," Spencer speaks freely, without care, unaware of the stern gaze coming from the woman beside T'Challa.

"Your words bring me great joy," T'Challa grins a little, before turning his attention on the rest of the group, starting with Steve.

Steve and T'Challa shake hands, "Seems like I'm always thanking you for something," Steve tells T'Challa lightly.

That makes Spencer confused, but before she could ponder it, Bruce bows awkwardly to T'Challa, "What the heck are you doing, Bruce?" Spencer asks, bewildered.

Rhodey is trying not to laugh, and Bruce looks very embarrassed now.

"Uh, we don't do that here," T'Challa laughs good-heartedly.

Bruce shoots Rhodey a glare, and is answered with a big grin from Rhodey. Spencer nudged Rhodey with a look, and Rhodey just snickers with his hands up in surrender in response.

"So how big of an assault can we expect?" T'Challa asks, as the group begins to walk back into the building.

"Uh, sir, I think you can expect quite a big assault!" Bruce chimes in hurriedly.

"How are we looking?" Nat questions curiously.

"You will have my Kingsguard," T'Challa begins to list off their support, "The border tribe, the Dora Milaje," Vision and Wanda and Pietro are escorted away by some Kingsguard, while Spencer remains with the rest of the group, "Oh, and," T'Challa gestures to Bucky Barnes.

Bucky is smiling, "A semi-stable, 100-year-old man," Bucky and Steve embrace.

Spencer makes a face.

Nat nudges her with a knowing smirk, "Play nice,"

To Bucky's credit, he does look better. His hair is a little longer than the last time Spencer saw him, and he didn't look so brooding and sulky. "How have you been, Buck?" Steve asked with a smile.

Bucky grinned back, Uh, not bad, for the end of the world," Bucky replied before his eyes landed on Spencer, the grins falters, and an awkward silence hangs in the air between the two best friends of Steve Rogers.

"Awkward," Sam mumbles from the back.

"Spencer," Bucky breaks the silence with a small tilt of his head.

Spencer clicks her tongue, torn between being an asshole or playing nice, "Bucky," Spencer speaks back plainly.

More tension.

"You look good," Bucky mutters, some of his iciness melting away.

Spencer cocked an eyebrow, "Steve loves me more, you know." She chimes in rather childishly.

T'Challa snorts, watching the scene with great amusement.

Bucky's expression sours instantly, "I tried to be nice, Steve," Bucky glares at Steve, as if it was Steve's fault that Spencer still didn't like or trust Bucky.

Steve sighs, patting Spencer's head, "Spencer, come on, cut the guy some slack," Steve reprimands her like some bad dog that accidentally bulled a puppy.

Spencer rolls her eyes and comments dryly to Bucky, "You look a lot better considering you aren't trying to kill us anymore," Steve groans from beside her, "What?" Spencer demands with a huff, "It's true, isn't it, Nat?"

Nat has her back and nods thoughtfully, "It is true."

Bucky growls and promptly ignores the two women; T'Challa, Steve, Nat, and Bruce leave to go meet up with T'Challa's sister, Shuri, who is the one going to help Vision. Spencer, Rhodey, Sam, and Bucky stay behind, though Spencer and Bucky are kept under a watchful eye just in case the two start exchanging fisticuffs.

"Why are you being so mean to that guy?" Bruce whispers to her.

Spencer is pouting, but she couldn't help it! Something about Bucky made her want to punch him! And it didn't help that Spencer still felt threatened by Bucky. It was all very childish, but Spencer couldn't help it. Bucky hadn't exactly given her any reason to actually like him for his person. Just because Steve trusted Bucky didn't automatically mean that Spencer would.

"I'll rip that god-damn metal arm off of him," Spencer muttered, glaring daggers at the older man.

Bucky heard her and scoffed, "Like you could, little girl."

Spencer growled, "I'll show you, little girl, when I bend that metal arm of yours in half!"

Bucky and Spencer glare at each other openly, "Why are you being a bitch?" Bucky snaps at her.

"Oh, no," Sam groans.

"Hey, language," Rhodey sternly states with a frown.

Bruce is caught in between, looking extremely uncomfortable.

Spencer grinned in an almost feral way, "I don't know, but I just love pissing you off," She admits this freely.

Bucky makes a frustrated noise, "The feeling is mutual," He mutters, more to himself than anything, but before Spencer could make a remark, her spine tingled violently. The life-force of her planet screaming inside her mind, they were here. Spencer's head tilts up to look at the sky, and her eyes widen in grim horror as giant alien vessels were plummeting down towards them.

"Shit!" Spencer hissed, activating her comms to the rest of the team, "We got company."

There was an alien vessel coming straight for the Golden City, but it slams violently into the defense shield, and gets blown to pieces. "God, I love this place," Bucky remarks as he watched the whole thing with a smug, awed look.

"Yeah, don't start celebrating yet guys," Rhodey remarks with a slight panicked tone as the older man begins to activate his War Machine suit on, "We got more incoming outside the dome!"

Spencer watches, unable to look away, as more alien vessels burn through the sky and outside the dome; landing with thunderous booms. The life-force inside her screaming in agony and horror as the ships destroy acres of forest, her home planet, was angry at the violent, careless intrusion.

Spencer clenches her fist tightly, her face was wound tight in fury, and she watched the shockwaves from impact hit the defense shields, "Spencer?" Bruce tentatively called, seeing the murderous expression on her face, "Are you okay?"

"No," Spencer responds, eyes on her now, "Earth is pissed off right now."

Sam and Bucky looked utterly confused by her words, but Bruce seemed to understand what they meant, "Well, at least you'll have that rage to back you up," Bruce comments with a slight cringe, "You got a good grasp on that power?" He questions curiously, "You held back on Asgard and Sakaar."

Spencer and Bruce looked at each other; around them, chaos was ensuing as King T'Challa had begun to evacuate the city, "I'm not sure," Spencer answers, letting the energy flow through her fingers freely, "But we'll find out soon enough." Spencer, letting a feral grin light up on her face, remarked confidently.

Because Spencer would fight until there was nothing left of her body to defend her home, her people, and her friends.

"Hey, Steve, can you ask T'Challa if he can spare two bars of vibranium for me?" Spencer spoke through the comms, "Also, I'm locking down that lab," Spencer flew up into the sky without a second thought towards the direction of the lab, "We need to be sure that if the shields around the city go down that Shuri's work won't be interrupted at any cost."

"King T'Challa is on it," Steve responded a few seconds later.

Spencer hovered over the lab, it was built against the mountain where Wakanda mined their vibranium, and she watched as her friends walked out of the lab, except for Wanda and Pietro. Spencer landed beside the group, with a huff, "Pietro and Wanda are staying back?"

Steve looked startled by her sudden appearance, "Yeah, to make sure Shuri and Vision are protected," Steve remarked.

"I'm setting up a force field around the building," Spencer rolled her shoulders, and turned towards the building, "Anyone that's human can pass through, but anything alien and foreign will get blast to bits," Spencer smirked as she held out her hands and faced them towards each other, palm side out.

In between her hands, grew a purple, electrical ball. It started to grow bigger and wider, and when Spencer was satisfied with the low amount of energy it was consuming from her, she pushed the growing orb towards the lab, manipulating it to protect the lab. In literal seconds, the orb extended its shape over the massive lab, before settling quietly in place.

Spencer hummed lightly in delight, keeping the shield in the back of her mind at all times, "That should be able to keep any aliens out of there," She sniffed before turning around to grin at her friends.

Steve was looking at the purple force-field with slight awe, "It's purple and gold?" He questioned with a bewildered expression on his face.

"And gold?" Spencer parroted and whirled back around to look at her force-field.

Her mouth dropped open a little at the golden streaks pulsing brightly against the purple of the fore-field, "For Asgard," Spencer murmured with a sad voice, her heart twisted painfully at the memory of seeing Asgard blown to pieces. Inside her, the life-force of her beloved Asgard pulsed warmly against her fingertips, reassuring her that they would help her keep her planet safe.

Her eyes stung with tears as her hands rolled into a fist, "Thank you," She whispered with her eyes closing momentarily.

Spencer wiped her tears away, turned back around, and met T'Challa's curious gaze, "May I have permission to use your vibranium?"

T'Challa cocked an eyebrow at her, the woman at his side looked outraged at such a thing, "All of it?" She demanded in shock and outrage, throwing her King a look.

But T'Challa merely gazed at Spencer with honest curiosity, "I trust her, Okoye," He spoke eloquently, "We heard that your abilities have changed," T'Challa nodded his head towards Steve, "If our vibranium will help you fight, you may have my permission to use whatever is left in the mountain," A Kingsguard comes up to T'Challa and hands him two sleek bars of vibranium, "I have these for you," Spencer walks up to her friend with a grateful smile.

"Thank you," Spencer murmurs as her kingly friend slides the bars into her waiting hands, and immediately she can feel the heavier power vibrate pleasantly against her skin. Her fingertips hum and she closes her eyes momentarily; savoring the strong, cool feel of the vibranium against her skin, "I give these back," Spencer opens her eyes and smiles at her friend brightly, "I doubt they have anything strong enough to combat vibranium, so, it'll be a good line of dense against them."

Spencer manipulates the vibranium to transform with dual katanas; the blade of the katanas were thinner, but no less deadly. She twirls the blades in her hands experimentally before turning to Nat with a cheeky grin, "Just like old times, remember?"

Nat looked at her impressed, "Let's hope this isn't the last time we have together," Nat comments with a small smile of her own.

The blades in Spencer's hands melt away, crawl up her arms, over her shoulders, and transform into tucked in wings-larger wings than what she had previously used on Sakaar and Asgard. "You're full of surprises," Steve smiles warmly at her, a little more hopeful now.

Spencer merely smirks in response, before they turn and make their way back to the palace to get this war started.

Within five minutes, the whole army of Wakanda are moving out towards the open fields outside the city. Spencer, Nat, Steve, and Bucky are crowded onto a carrier whilst Rhodey and Sam keep pace overhead, and well, Bruce? Bruce was given Tony's Hulkbuster armor.

I guess Tony made it out of shits and giggles a few years ago for Bruce.

Though, it looked like Bruce wasn't entirely too used to being in a suit, "How are we looking, Bruce?" Nat asks the doctor over their comms.

Spencer is sitting on the edge of the carrier, enjoying the breeze whipping her hair back, and trying to settle her nerves. Her eyes catch Bruce, in his massive suit, leaping along, keeping up with the carriers, looking utterly delighted, "Yeah! I think I'm getting the hang of it!" Bruce laughs, and it makes her smile.

"Wow! It's like being the Hulk without actually-" Bruce was jogging alongside the carrier, but suddenly stumbles over a large, jutting rock, and drops into the ground.

Spencer sputters out in laughter, almost going over the edge herself, if Steve hadn't grabbed her waist to pull her upright, "Haha, look at him!" Spencer howls with laughter and points to Bruce.

Okoye's carrier passes by, and the darker-skinned warrior gives Bruce's fallen form a dubious look. "Spencer," Nat sighs, but has a smirk on her face, too.

"I'm okay, I'm okay!" Bruce calls through the comms as he gets back up in the suit.

"I got two heat signatures breaking through the tree line!" Rhodey informs the rest of the group, as he and Sam fly ahead of the gathering masses. The carrier pilots swerve into U-turns, causing their craft to tilt and allowing the practiced soldiers to slide over one side into a run, never coming to a complete halt. A Dora Milaje shouts a command nearby as the last Wakandans join ranks.

The sounds of practiced chaos brought Spencer's blood to heat excitedly; all this was familiar to her, welcoming, and though it shouldn't delight it, it did. This was what she was born to do, and she would die trying to protect her planet.

T'Challa embraces and exchanges words with a large, mighty man dressed a bit more primitively than the rest of the King's forces, Spencer eyes the man with interest. "You coming along?" Nat questions, gesturing towards the two figures at the edge of the barrier.

From this distance, Spencer can see the alien woman who killed Sif.

Her blood boils with rage, and Spencer's jaw clenches tightly, "If I do, I'll end up killing that bitch right where she stands," She responds heatedly, her eyes darkening.

Nat's lips curl into a smirk, "I missed this blood-thirsty Spencer," She remarks, walking off with Steve and T'Challa to go greet their new intruding guests.

The conversation between the two sides, unsurprisingly, doesn't end well. Sif's murderer raises her sword with a snarl on her face, and the ships behind her start raising their outer hulls. Steve, Nat, and T'Challa rejoin the group, and they looked stoney-faced now.

"Did they surrender?" Buck questions with a touch of sardonic.

Spencer snorts in agreement with Bucky, and Steve rolls his eyes at them, "Not exactly."

The King of Wakanda leads the Wakandans in the war cry "Yibambe!" telling them to hold fast as the Outriders bound toward the barrier. Spencer could feel the masses of aliens, before she could hear them. Hundreds upon hundreds of feet hitting the ground and racing towards them. Spencer shivered at the sense of dread that shivered up her spine.

The Alien woman drops her sword arm down in the signal to attack.

"What the hell," Bucky mutters flatly, looking astonished at the numbers of Thanos Army.

Spencer was wrong, this wasn't hundreds upon hundreds, no, this looked like thousands upon thousands! Maybe it was because they were clustered together, and they looked the damn same, but this engulfed their side by a lot.

"Looks like we pissed her off," Nat remarks sarcastically, though she looked concerned with our numbers compared to theirs.

They all watch as the aliens bombard the force-field, squeezing limbs and bodies partly through, only to be bisected, but they didn't stop, "They're killing themselves," Okoye is absolutely horrified.

As a few aliens managed to squeeze through intact, the Border Tribe take a knee and raise their shields. The Kingsguard behind them level their sonic spears over their comrades' shoulders, and on the King's command, fire at the approaching monsters. Bucky uses his M-249 machine gun, and Bruce fires the Hulkbuster's hand repulsors.

Spencer is silent, as she watches and thinks.

"You see the teeth on those things?!" Sam cries out through the comms as he sends Redwings into the fight as he flies over the invading aliens.

"Alright, back up, Sam. You're going to get your wings singed," Rhodey pulls up from behind Sam, and flies over the heaviest concentration of Outriders and drops a barrage of mines, all exploding fantastically, but Spencer's eyes are drawn towards a pack of aliens running around the force-field to the right of their position.

"Cap, if these things circle the perimeter and get in behind us," Bruce comments with a panicked tone, "and I don't think the evacuations are close to being done yet."

Steve's jaw clenches, "Then we better keep 'em in front of us," Steve says grimly.

Steve looks at Spencer, a knowing look passing between them, as Okoye turns to her King, "How do we do that?"

"We open the barrier," T'Challa grimly responds as he puts his comm to his mouth, "On my signal, open Northwest section seventeen."

"Spencer, can you handle that?" Steve jerks his head towards the heaviest concentration of aliens hitting the barrier.

The young woman can feel eyes on her now, relying on her new abilities to help them defeat these mass of aliens. She can feel her anxiety creeping up on her, but a warm wave of reassurance washes that anxiety away, the life-forces of her planet, Sakaar, and Asgard are there, and they're ready to give her strength.

There wasn't any time for doubt, only determination.

Spencer rolls her shoulders and flexes her fingers, "Do you doubt your best friend, Steve?" She gives Steve a smirk, before looking at T'Challa, "Have my back?" Spencer grins at the King.

"Of course," T'Challa swiftly responds.

"I'm your best friend," Bucky grumbles.

T'Challa shouts a command to his Kingsguard to disengage their shields. Spencer saunters out in front of them, eyes directly on the hordes of aliens ready to destroy them. The weight of hundreds of eyes are on her, waiting to see what she could do, and she would show all of them to never doubt her, to show them all that they could rely on her to protect them.

She was an Avenger, and she would show them why.

"Let's rock these bitches!" Spencer bursts forward, running a few feet, before jumping into the air, and solidifying the air underneath her feet. She propels herself forward and higher into the air, until she's at least several stories up into the air.

She takes a deep breath, and turns towards T'Challa.

They lock eyes.

Spencer nods her head.

T'Challa presses his comm to his mouth and shouts the command, "Now!"

Spencer jumps down, using her momentum to gather all of her power into her right hand as she drops quickly. The shield opens, and hell is unleashed right in front of her. Spencer curls her right hand into a fist-purple, gold, and red clash in around her fist as she punches the ground with a mighty, thunderous BOOM!

It almost seems silent, and for a heartbeat, nothing happens.

Right in the middle of the small river, the earth opens up with a mighty groan. The ground rumbles viciously as the ground gives away rapidly, dividing the two sides within a matter of seconds. Spencer only has literal seconds before they reach her massive gorge and easily jump over it.

Spencer readies herself and gets into a steady stance, and begins to pull upwards with her arms, summoning lava. These guys couldn't survive lava, right? Her fingers begin to heat up in protest, it was too much she was trying to summon, her arms buckle with effort, but Spencer doesn't relent.

Her body is protesting, "No!"

But Spencer's mind is saying, "Yes!"

Spencer lets out a war-cry, loud and determined, her mind focusing on the task at hand, not caring of the weight it was bearing down on her body. She didn't care if her fingers, flesh and bone, melted right off, she didn't care about anything besides summoning the lava and bending it to her fucking will.

It felt like a rubber band-there was too much resistance, and suddenly, as Spencer let out of her defiant war-cry, the rubber band snapped inside her.

A colossal wave of lava spouted out from the gorge just as the aliens reached it, they were ready to jump over her gorge, but were greeted with a colossal wave of lava in their faces. The mammoth wave raised almost sixty feet into the air, reaching from one side of the force-field to the other. Spencer could feel the heat, but it wasn't unbearable, it was barely noticeable considering she was mere feet from the giant wave.

Spencer's heart was racing in her chest, but there was a shit-eating grin on her face at that moment.

"Holy…" Bucky's voice trails off in the comms.

"Is that lava?!" Bruce gasps.

"That's my girl!" Pietro's voice comes through the comms.

And that fuels Spencer's resolve, as she brings her arms down. The colossal wave, in a vicious and horrendous way, crashes down onto the other side of her gorge. Shrieks and screams of pain and terror ring in her ears, but she can't see the other side, and she has no doubts that there are survivors.

So, Spencer flies up into the air, an arm stretched upwards towards the sky in a silent beckoning. There's an ear-splitting crack of thunder that strikes down towards her, it hits her hand, and she gathers every once of electrical current into this one lightning bolt, and drops back down, pulling the bolt down with her, the bolt still connected to the sky, and she shouts her battle-cry as she drops straight done onto the oncoming masses of aliens.

Right before Spencer hits the ground, she flings her bolt forward, "This is for THOR!" Spencer shouts in rage.

It sails through the air silently, before hitting the ground with a tumultuous BOOM!

Shockwaves, bigger than those from earlier, blow right past Spencer. She's completely breathless as giant lightning bolts from the skies are thundering down onto the enemy. It's almost as if God himself had opened the heavens and dishing out his own vengeance.

Spencer hovers in the air, awed by her own powers, and doesn't realize that despite wiping out the first massive waves, there are more pouring through from the ships, and hurtling down without a single care. The bodies of their brothers lay, forgotten and trampled, as another huge wave comes barreling down the hills.

A few hordes had managed to jump across her gorge, despite the lava and raining lightning bolts, but their forces were already in battle.

Spencer can see her friends are struggling, because despite their strengths and abilities, these aliens were numerous and unrelenting. They didn't have the numbers to complete on the ground with these monsters, so, Spencer flew over to her side, and laid out her hands behind the fighting forces, and let her mind create life.

Her fingers hummed in response, as she summoned the vibranium from the mountain to her. Bending a colossal, sixty foot wave of lava made bending a mountain of vibranium easy, but unlike lava, the vibranium was responsive to her and accepted her commands swiftly and eagerly.

The ground shook, as giant vibranium sentinels raised from the ground beneath Spencer, her body shook, and her eyes drooped as the hum of vibranium surged through her. She felt almost drunk off of the boost of power that the vibranium was feeding her.

The vibranium sentinels were over seven foot tall, sculpted for battle, and poised for victory; they varied in colors-from plum purple to a silverly purple, and then to an almost black purple, carrying an array of weapons. Spencer poured life into her creations, giving them basic intelligence, and the ability to use their bodies to morph weapons-she poured the tiniest bits of herself into her sentinels, and let them flourish in front of her eyes.

These creations of hers stared up at her-eyes reminiscent of Cayde, black and full of the galaxy, and Spencer smiled at them, proud of herself, because she could feel them. They were extensions of her brought to life, ready to fight for her, to help her protect that, that she cherished most.

"Protect us!" Spencer cried out to her creations, "Do your duty, protect my people!" She shouted, pointing towards the enemy, "Show them what we're capable of!"

Her heart surged in delight, as her creations turned and pivoted towards the onslaught of aliens, but just before her creations could get near the main battle, a large beam of rainbow-hued lights slams in the middle of the action, and an ax flies out of it, wreathed with lightning and tearing through the aliens, freeing her friends, it flies back to the light and into its master's hand just as the beam cuts out-revealing Thor, a raccoon holding a gun, and a lanky tree alien.

Of course, Spencer only had eyes for her beloved Thor-her alive Thor.

Tears welled in her eyes as Thor's strange-colored eyes land on her; somehow, Thor ditched his eye patch, and gotten hold of a golden eye. It was sort of gross and weird, but that didn't matter to her, because Thor was alive, and he was staring at her with a sense of relief.

Spencer couldn't stop the gigantic smile that made way onto her face as Bruce opened the helm of his suit to laugh joyfully, "Hahaha, you guys are so screwed now!"

Thor turns to face the hordes of aliens, and his command shakes the ground, "Bring me Thanos!"

But the smiles dies from Spencer's face, as she watches her creations of vibranium roll into battle, that Loki is missing. This strange raccoon and tree alien stick to Thor's side as the mighty King of Asgard charges into the thick of the enemy lines.

"Where was Loki?" Spencer asked herself.

Her stomach gave a painful twist in response.

Sorry for the late chapter, I had a hard time getting past the first few pages for this one. Since Infinity War came out, I've always had a clear image of how I envisioned Spencer in this fight, and I hope I portrayed it decently, though I don't think I did? I don't know, let me know what you guys think! I also plan on changing something next chapter, I don't know if any of you caught it, but I did hint at potentially saving a certain person.

Until next time!
