![]() Author has written 16 stories for Rise of the Guardians, Harry Potter, Merlin, and Sherlock. Hi there! My pseudonym here is JabberwockyJinxes, formerly Lliri. I got on fanfiction a solid five years ago. I've written an impressively small amount in that time and read an impressively large amount. I'm going to keep my older works here for the sake of a laugh. I wrote the majority of those while I was in seventh grade, when I was an adorable little angsty peanut full of pent-up aggression against the suburbs. Hint: If it's near the end of the profile, don't judge me based on it. I'm a different person than I was five seconds ago. In case you are curious, my temperaments are sanguine and phlegmatic. My Hogwarts house is Ravenclaw with Slytherin tendencies. My favourite element is boron just because it creates some really nice shapes. I adore hydrocarbons, tardigrades, the X-Files, conspiracy theories, Arthurian, Welsh, and Irish mythology, and I sometimes create fictional cladograms to relax. Tirade Against Fear and In the Night can now be found on my AO3, TheAntrichrist. Feel free to judge me for my choice in pen-name. My Merlin blog on tumblr is found under the name JabberwockyJinxes. On reviews: You want to review a story I wrote four, fives years ago? Go for it. I'll love it. You want to leave a review just to vent about the chapter? Go for it. Some of the best reviews I've ever gotten involve a whole lot of angry swearing and tears. I love it. You want to leave a review that has critical suggestions for the story or my writing? These days as I write and post things, I don't tend to get as much truly constructive feedback. I miss the days when people would write me reviews and tell me how to make it better, because there's nothing more satisfying than seeing your writing get better from fic to fic. Want to leave me some concrit? I'll love it. I will never withhold chapters for lack of reviews, but reviews do serve as a burst of inspiration. If I get reviews on a story, I am more likely to remember it exists and, because of that, continue writing. Even reviews on the older stories remind me that fanfiction exists, and I will remember to write for it. Current projects: -At some point, I want to get back to two of my older Merlin stories I started and never finished. These aren't a priority. The two stories I plan to rewrite are 'Imperfect Platitudes' and 'The Improvement.' -Currently I am working on another Merlin fic, which I am very excited about. It involves many of the major characters, but has a focus on Merlin and Arthur as their relationship evolves. It is a canon-era AU that draws from the original legends of king Arthur, a little bit of British history, and thematic material from contemporary sources. I've written about a third of it and I predict the end length will be around 45 000 words, although I recently reordered the plot and that may add 5000-7000 words extra in chapters 2-3. I don't want to give too much away, and I'll start posting once I've written around 2/3 of it, but I'm really excited about this one. | |||||||
