End of Remnant, Episode 6: Ready Thy Rally Cry
[Vale] |Day 1 – 83 Hours Remain|
Yuki and Cael had not drink of the Wellness Wine with Yuki citing that the leader should go last to make sure the others make it. Ayla, Lunatin, Sulfur, Ruby, Yang, Fria, and Shampoo were cots in the Dragon's Den reeling from the effects of the wine. Ayla had cited her issue with using it citing it as cheating, but Shampoo explained that the pain in the price for drawing the power out. No pain, no gain…which sated Ayla's issues for the moment. The rest of Team JPNR and SSSN had come to help out. Roman and Neo had come for moral support until Neo drank one of the Wellness Wines. Now she was out cold on the couch.
"I'm going on a food run." Yuki remarked. "I…"
He sensed something and so did the others. Hope swelled and he focused on it before the widest grin came to his face. He opened the window and leapt out of it before flying to the courtyard. The SS Renegade had landed on Beacon's courtyard.

"Yuki! Yuki! Too tight!" Kelly squealed as he hugged both teammates.
Lapis had to get to ease him off and his eyes were near Misty. He was overjoyed to see they were all safe before trying to keep it together. Blake and Weiss got squeezed in a hug too.
"Jaune, what the heck happened?" Yuki asked.
"We literally were in tubes out cold since we got attacked so…we're out of the loop. What we miss?" Jaune asked.
"A shitshow, but it just better. I will Serena inform family that you're alive and well right away." Yuki said with a present grin.
"How quaint, the family is all together again." Noire said coming down.

Yuki glared at him, but Noire made the point to say that Yuki does owe him for it. Yuki kept the glare up.
"Despite my actions, you can't deny I'm in your corner." Noire said mirthfully.
"You had a hand in Vale being razed." Yuki said plainly.
"Technically that more the cult's fault for making those Voyden Grimm going on a rage. Besides, the alternative is worse, and I got Salem forced onto to your side. So can you complain?" Noire asked.
"I hate that I have to agree. You're still an asshole." Yuki barked before realizing what he said. "Shit…now I'm on the other end of that."
"Yeah, that was weird." Lapis said.
The group all went towards Beacon. The aura the Grimm King and Queen had given off had students scrambling to the sides in fear. Ozpin and the staff came only to freeze with horror to see the Grimm King and Queen had just waltz in with Sazu.
"Weiss!" Winter said coming up and pulling her into a hug.
Professionalism was gone for the moment as she held her. She was simply glad her sister was alive. Elsewhere, Willow had taken a victorious drink upon getting a text from Serena. Willow had not touched a drink wanting to be sober waiting for word of her fate. Now, she could celebrate.
"So why the hell are they here?" Qrow asked.
"I'm here to offer my aid. Please, tell me you don't want it. I can go, and you can take your chances with Griseo alone." Noire said snickered. "I even brought lunch."
Sazu had two bags of catered food and stomachs growled. Cael's reaction was barely any better. Ren, Nora, and Pyrrha bombarded Jaune…and so SSSN's team to see Sun.
"Your sworn enemies brought us fried chicken... to make up for their massacres? I don't think fried chicken makes up for the lives lost." Cael said dryly as Sulfur was eating some.
"Yeah, but my help will. Yuki, I want to make a deal with you. You help me, and I help you." Noire said as Yuki ate. "And trust me, you stand to gain more out of it than I."
"But, what do you stand?" Kelly asked.
"Freedom." Noire stated numbly. "From my bloodline's curse."

"I may be the God of Darkness's champion living carefree being all that and a side of fries, but…"
"We get it everyone has a sob story, doesn't excuse the choices you made." Lunatin remarked.
"Oh come down, we all a bit of a depressing origin. Mine comes with a curse. This curse is why I'm heterochromatic. The golden eye is a painful restraining bolt. My bloodline was cursed with it because of one who raged against the Gods before Salem tried. The Grimm Slayer….who was my ancestor." Noire explained.
"I've never heard of him…" Ozpin remarked.
"There's a reason for that." Noire remarked before continuing. "My ancestor raged against them because the Brothers Douche listened to the hearsay of a soothsayer who stated their end was to come at the hands of a Silver Eyed being. The brothers just simply decided to blow the village with the most Silver Eyed people and think they won…but they created a monster."
"A self-fulfilling prophecy, practically." Sayah said. "The Grimm Slayer that rose had slaughtered nearly all of the followers. Temples full of servants of the Light and Darkness before he challenged the Gods themselves."
"But his efforts were not enough coming only to a standstill. He did scar the Gods…and that's why they appear featureless to mortals." Sazu said. "With a self-sacrifice and use of the Voyd, his power lay dormant in the deepest depths of the Quibuscaligo for the day where a worthy silver eyed warrior would find it."
"And rise from the Quibuscaligo as the Grimm Slayer God." Noire said. "That is what I need you to for me. I had tried with Summer Rose…didn't work."

People choked on their food, jaws drop, glasses hit the floor, and spit takes were made. Yuki spat out the piece of chicken that went down his windpipe. It was Ruby's turn to grab Noire by his collar demanding answers. Not that she could be threatening given the extreme pain she was in.
"Well, what can I say, Salem does a sloppy job at killing people as she does with using magic. Her body ended up in the Voyd when Salem decided to shove her near dead body in a Grimm pool. I'm surprised you haven't try to kill Salem yet, Red." Noire said as Ruby let her go.
Ruby whirled her attention to Salem, but Qrow stopped her citing Salem's immortality.
"Besides, Summer's still alive." Noire said. "She's just in a cryogenic pod in a hidden part of the lab. Not even my scientists are aware. Summer was quite useful for creating Gen."
"Who's Gen?" Scarlet asked.
"I'm glad you asked, but that's not important now. Summer Rose suffered extensive damage, and I fixed her. When I tried her to see if she was the one, it didn't work. So, I shoved her back in that pod and kept her on ice. Not like I could return her home until now." Noire said confidently. "And I'll gladly reunite mother and daughter as soon as Sazu, Sayah, and I get a pardon."
Ozpin would have said no if for Yuki, Qrow, and Raven aiming their weapons at Ozpin's head. Even Ruby and Yang, while feeling drained, weakly raised their weapons at him.
"So we're just going say don't worry about the people you got killed, maimed, violated. We won't hold you responsible, we forgive you... am I understanding this correctly?" Cael remarked.
"If I get one person back, then it's worth the price. Plus, we need all the Silver Eyed Warriors we can get unless you want to make the issue harder." Yuki said as Cael stared him down.
"And what guarantee do we have that he's being honest?" Cael said sternly. "For all we know he's playing both sides so he can come out on top."
"I am aware of the risk, but I have to deal with it. Cael, the people of Vale were doomed to have a disaster. The only difference is I only managed to barely lower the casualties. It sucks, but if I have to team up with him to prevent more people from losing their lives. So be it!" Yuki said as Noire cleared his throat.
"Well said." Noire said curtly.
"We are practically taking advantage of each other. If anything, WE are not your enemy anymore." Sayah pointed out. "We don't want the Maidens and the relics are wasted on us. Like we want the Brother Douches back. As an aside, we all want Griseo dead."
"Put your weapons down! I'll agree to the terms." Ozpin said as everyone did. "But I want an assurance you're on our side."
"You have my word, and in this world, I place heavy value in my word." Noire said as Yuki and his team blinked.
"Ok, you're even sounding like Yuki." Kelly said.
"And considering I've recorded this, we can hold you to it." Serena remarked.
"So, Yuki, do we have a deal?" Noire asked.
"You do." Yuki said shaking his hand. "When I go for the depths?"
"Soon. The actions of Griseo on the day of the battle will make it easy to get there. For now, focus on readying yourselves. I'll have Summer Rose delivered to her home by nightfall. I promised her that in exchange for her genetic material, I'd keep her on ice until I can get her out of the Voyd." Noire said getting up. "Well, I said my piece. We shall be leaving."
Noire, Sayah, and Sazu promptly left leaving our heroes conflicted. Ruby and Yang were just happy to get their mother back, but Yuki was wondering how Summer was just going to take all of this.

"Thanks for the meal." Vernal remarked.
Taiyang was simply glad for company even if it came from Raven. Raven had visited and left Vernal in his care a bit to his ire. So, he let her join in on a session with Toriel, who got the tough girl façade broken halfway through the session. Now, she went to sessions on her own.
"It's fine." Taiyang said as Zwei yipped. "I'm glad you're finding some level of peace with your sessions with Toriel. Still having the nightmares?"
"I have to keep reminding myself that I have new legs." Vernal said between bites. "At least I'm a bit taller now…so that's a plus."
"That's the visit." Taiyang said as there a knock at the door.
He went to the door to see Toriel, Mercury, and Emerald. Toriel looked rather concerned.
"Taiyang, I came because I got a call from Yuki with some news that's good, but you may…take it hard." Toriel said. "Summer Rose has been found…and she is alive."
Taiyang just stood like a deer in headlights.
"Salem had nearly killed her, but inadvertently saved her by dumping her half-dead body into a Grimm Pool causing her to fall into the Quibuscaligo. She was found and she was saved. Obviously, she's been stuck down there all those years until recently. She's been returned here tonight. I came over to ensure you have moral support." Toriel said gently.
Mercury revealed a bottle of rum and Taiyang took it pouring a glass for himself. Toriel was not going to stop him even if she was not one to endorse resorting to liquor in such a way. Night would slowly come as Raven and Qrow arrived wanting to be there. It should have been jovial, but there was that bittersweet.
"So, she hasn't aged a day since the battle?" Taiyang asked.
"No, she was put on ice. And even then, how is she going to take all of this?" Raven said. "Our 'team' has been a shattered mess. And before you say anything, I damn well know I have a part to blame in that."
"I'm not exactly innocent in that regard. I could have better handled things…" Taiyang said Raven had a hand on his shoulder.
Outside, the Renegade came down as it opened up as Summer and Noire walked down.
"So, that's what you missed in the last decade and change." Noire remarked. "I'm sorry…I…"
"No, don't be sorry. You put Salem out of the picture…" Summer said hugging him. "Thank you for all that you've done."
She walked ahead towards home as he bid her goodbye. Summer took some cautious steps towards the door and used her key to open it.
"Welcome back, Summer."
(A/N: Summer Rose is back…but that might not be all a major boon considering everything that's going down. How will things go from here? Time will tell.)
