Chapter 316: Arc 18: I'll Protect You - Yamato Meets Momonosuke

"Mama!" Napoleon panicked.

"They're doomed!" Big Mom's samurai subordinates exclaimed. ""They're dead men. He ran over Big Mom with his bike."

"Aniki!" the relieved Nami jumped Franky. "Thank you, Franky."

"Nami!" Carrot hurried over.

"Go, samurai warriors." Hyogoro hollered.

"It's already started." Franky gave the scene a look-over.

"It's a huge messy fight." Brook noted. "Since we're late, we should work harder than everyone."

"Oh boy." Jinbe sighed. "Look what they ran into. Help me a bit, Nico Robin, Sasha-sama."

"Sure, I'm happy to." Robin smiled.

"Ex-quip: Water Plate." Sasha waste no time in summoning one of her base armors.

"That's good." Luffy grinned. "That's what I expected from Franky and Brook. Then, I'm gonna help Kin'emon now."

Elsewhere...

Yamato, having caught sight of Shinobu and Momonosuke sneaking past the Live Floor, ad ran off after them.

"Yamato, stop!" Ulti was chasing after Yamato. "Damn you, Yamato." she clashed with the other woman. "I'm gonna beat you within an inch of your life and take you to Kaido-sama."

"I don't have time for you." Yamato retorted. "And I don't go back to Kaido. I have my own mission. Leave me alone."

"How annoying." Ulti tsked. "I'll kick your ass." she charged at Yamato. "Stop dodging, you little..." she snarled, Yamato jumping to avoid getting hit.

"Ulti, I'll force my way through." Yamato shot down from the wooden ledge. "Now, if you'll excuse me." she overpowered Ulti and continued her way. "Wait for me, I'm on my way."

"Momonosuke-sama, they'll see us here." Shinobu reminded. "We should hide in the building."

"There you are." Yamato finally located Shinobu and Momonosuke. "I'm glad that you're okay, Kozuki Momonosuke."

"Who are you?" Shinobu demanded.

"Shinobu." Luffy shot up onto the bridge. "He's our ally. You can trust him. It's safer to be with him than to be by yourselves. See you." he continued his way up to the roof.

"Are you really our ally?" Shinobu pressed.

"Yeah." Yamato nodded.

"Okay, I believe you." Shinobu relented.

"What's your name?" Momonosuke asked.

"I'm..." Yamato jumped in front of the pair. "Kozuki Oden. I'll protect you."

"Father..." Momonosuke breathed. "Breasts... horns... you can't be my father!" he exclaimed.

"You're too suspicious." Shinobu agreed. "Definitely our enemy. Smoke Escape Technique."

"Wait!" Yamato called out, Shinobu escaping with Momonosuke via a smoke bomb. "Why are you running away?"

On the Live Floor...

"We're heavily outnumbered." Hyogoro remarked. "This will take forever."

"You're right." Yatappe agreed. "It's just a waste of time to fight these small fries."

"The dinosaurs called the Tobi Roppo that Denjiro was talking about," Hyogoro pointed out. "Should we go take their heads? Even if we are no match for them, we can still stall them."

"Now, I don't think she'll keep sleeping like a baby forever." Franky remarked.

"I didn't see that one coming." Big Mom sat up.

"Finally." Franky grinned.

"You're up." Brook added.

"You're popping up one after another." Big Mom lumbered towards them. "You Straw Hats. Soul King, it's been a while." she noticed Brook. "Your group really is made up of such rare creatures. I can't wait to add you to my collection."

"You have good taste." Brook chuckled.

"You like my iron body?" Franky snorted. "You old bag. My name is Franky." he struck his trademark pose. "I'm a cyborg. I'm so rare and strong."

"No, you two." Nami warned. "She's a Yonkou."

"A Yonkou?" Franky echoed. "So we run? Nami, don't you want our Captain to become the King of Pirates? Franky Radical Beam!" he charged up his laser when the group of Numbers entered the Live Floor.

"What are hose giant things?" Hyogoro gawked.

"You were assigned another banquet hall, Numbers." one of Kaido's subordinates hollered.

"They're as big as Oars." Nami squealed. "What are they?"

"They remind me of Thriller Bark." Franky admitted, getting flashbacks.

"Are they the failed recreations of the ancient Giants that Kaido brought from Punk Hazard?" Big Mom recognized the trio. "Nice..." she grinned.

"It took all of us to finally defeat Oars..." Nami hid behind Kurosai FR-U IV with Carrot.

"Look at that." Carrot pointed to the Brachio Tank V Jaki's hand.

"What that monster has in his hand is Brachio Tank V." Franky's eyes narrowed. "That's Usopp's team. Let go of it, you big mole. Franky Radical Beam!" he fired his laser beam at Jaki, forcing him to drop the Brachio Tank V. "My laser beam is unstoppable now."

"Didn't you wanna shoot it this way?" Big Mom hovered over the cyborg. "Iron man."

"Lend me your arm." Jinbe jumped into action, grappling Big Mom's arm. "Fish Man Jujitsu: Whirlpool Shoulder Throw." he heaved Big Mom over his shoulder.

"Tidal Force: Water Claw!" Sasha's water construct slammed Big Mom onto the ground.

"Mil Fleurs." Robin acted, spouting hands from the ground and catching the downed Yonkou. "Delphinium." The extended hands then tossed Big Mom off the Live Floor.

"Damn you, Jinbe." Big Mom cursed. "I remember what you did to our fleet. I'll kill you, too."

"Bring it on." Jinbe growled, Big Mom literally rolled off the Live Floor.

"She just passed the torii gates, didn't she?" Sasha wondered.

"How did it go?" Robin asked.

"Better than I expected." Jinbe burst out laughing. "She'll be back angrier."

"Now." Franky started. "It's the moment you've been waiting for." he placed a call to Usopp and Chopper. "Come in, Commander Chopper. Do you remember the promise? A pirate made of iron, the Iron Pirate: let's combine."

"Wait for me, Kin'emon." Luffy promised.
