In Oak Town, which was in the northernmost corner of the Kingdom of Fiore... trouble was just beginning to rear its ugly head. Outside the Phanton Lord Guildhall... stood each and every member of Fairy Tail, with the exception of Team Shadow Gear and Lucy, who had remained back in Magnolia to check on her friends in the hospital. No one could blame her. As much as Lucy was a member, she didn't really have the constitution for a battle such as this.

And besides... she wouldn't be able to handle the events that were about to unfold here.

Inside, they could hear the boastful cheers of the Phantom Lord wizards, mocking the ones that they had hurt... and that only fueled their anger even more.

"Listen to them in there," said Gray. "Makes me sick...!"

"We'll make them pay, soon enough," Erza reassured.

"So then," Haru began, "ready to knock on the door, bro?"

Natsu quietly narrowed his eyes... and raised his blazing fist. Then, without a single word, he threw a punch forward, causing the door to explode off its hinges, startling their rivals within. The confused Phantom Lord Wizards all clamored and shouted at once, confused by the sudden entrance.

"Knock-knock, assholes," Gray sneered.

"Holy shit! It's Fairy Tail!" cried one of the Phantom Lord goons.

"YOU'RE DAMN RIGHT IT IS!" Natsu roared before he charged in without a second thought, sending several of them flying with his fiery attacks. "COME ON! IS THAT ALL YOU GOT?!"

Soon after, everyone else began to charge in as well. Gray used his Ice-Make magic to freeze his foes, Elfman relentlessly pummelled them with his spiky arms, Loke and Cana stood back-to-back, and Happy... well, he just whacked some of them with a stick.

Meanwhile, Haru let out this almost primal roar as she leaped into the fray, and Blue Fang wasn't too far behind her, snarling and barking ferociously as he tackled anyone in his path. Bones crunched in his mighty jaws as he bit down on anyone who attempted to fight back. As for Haru, true to her moniker, she fought like the beast that she was, kicking, clawing, and even biting anyone she saw. One might even swear that for a brief second, they saw her grow fangs and claws, even without using the Soul Link spell.

"COME ON!" Haru yelled. "WHO ELSE WANTS TO TANGLE WITH THE BEAST?!"

Meanwhile, several more Phantom Lord members were charging at Makarov, who stood in the middle of the room, unflinching as they brandished their weapons... but then, Elektra stood in their way, glaring at them with fiery orange eyes.

"My Grandfather has no business with you," she said before she raised her hands and a lavender magic circle appeared around them, causing all the metal weapons in her enemies' hands to come flying toward her... surrounding her arms, making them larger until they were at least three times their normal size!

"W-what the hell?!" questioned one of the Phantom Lord mooks.

"And to be quite frank," Elektra began, "I don't have any business with you lot, either! NOW GET OUT OF MY WAY!"

Swinging her huge, metal-covered arms, she sent them all flying through the air while Elektra looked up and glared hatefully at them.

"Grandpa, go!" Elektra shouted. "We'll handle things here!"

"You don't have to tell me," Makarov said. "Jose will regret touching my children!" With that, he ran off while Elektra looked around, bitterly.

"Where is he?" she asked as she looked around. "Where's the one who hurt Levy?!"

She suddenly heard a loud scream, causing her to turn to see Nab and Warren get struck down, alongside several other Phantom Lord Wizards... by a tall, muscular, and tanned-skin young man with long, spiky black hair, scars on his arms, his eyebrows, nose, bottom lip, and ears all dotted with piercings, a black shirt, dark green pants, piercing red eyes, and a fang-toothed smile that was full of bloodlust. As Elektra got a good look at him... she saw that his arm had morphed into some sort of iron rod.

It was at that moment that she knew... that was her target.

"...Gajeel Redfox...!" Elektra hissed. "Of course, it was you...!"

"Come on, you trash!" Gajeel yelled. "Gimme your best shot!"

"Hey!" Elfman shouted as he charged at him with his stone fist. "I may be trash, but I'm still a man, dammit!"

Soon, the two engaged each other in combat, and at first, it appeared that Elfman and Gajeel were evenly matched, able to dodge and parry each other's moves almost exactly... until Gajeel sprouted more iron rods from his body, impaling Elfman and several other members of Fairy Tail and Phantom Lord. At that very moment, Natsu charged at the Iron Dragon Slayer with his flaming fists... but then, he was halted by Elektra grabbing him by his shoulder.

"Hey!" Natsu shouted. "Elektra, what are you-" He suddenly gasped as he saw the Magnetism Wizard glaring at Gajeel... her eyes dark and veins bulging out of her face.

"Natsu... step aside," she ordered, and without even a word of resistance, Natsu quickly obeyed and backed away.

"Ah, yeah... you're Makarov's granddaughter, aren't you?" Gajeel asked. "The Strongest Female Wizard in Fairy Tail, right?"

Elektra didn't answer him. She just stood there, silently glaring at him.

"Gihi!" Gajeel laughed. "What's the matter? Got nothin' to say?"

"...You..." Elektra hissed. "You destroyed our guildhall... and attacked poor Levy, as well as Jet and Droy. If you value your life, I suggest you apologize, right now!"

"I might apologize," Gajeel quipped as he turned his arms to iron rods, "if you can beat me, that is!" He then charged forward at Elektra, a bloodthirsty grin on his face... but then, he suddenly froze. He grunted as he tried to move his arms, but they were somehow stuck in place... and slowly, he began to move backwards before he was pinned to the wall!

"Your element is iron," said Elektra with her hands raised. "Iron is metal... and myself being a Magnetism Wizard, I can repel metal just as well as I can attract it!" She narrowed her eyes. "It's too late for you to apologize, now... so see how you like this!" Soon, she began to wave her arms around, and soon after, Gajeel began to thrash about in the air, slamming into the walls and the floor. Then, using her magic to attract him towards her, Elektra reeled back her leg before kicking Gajeel right in the face, then reversed her magic to repel him to the wall before he could strike back.

"Holy crap!" cried one of the Phantom Lord wizards. "Gajeel's getting beaten!"

"Yeah, and he's not the only one!"

As the mook turned around, he gagged as he suddenly found himself pinned against the wall by Haru, who glared at him with furious eyes.

"AH! W-wait! Hold it!" he cried.

"Why should I?!" Haru questioned. "You bastards attacked our home and our friends!"

"Ease off, okay?!" asked the goon. "I swear, we were only doing what we were hired to do!" He then covered his mouth as he realized what he had just let slip... while Haru's glare darkened.

"What do you mean... 'hired'?!" she asked. "Who sent you?!"

"I... I can't tell you!" he answered. "I already said too much- GAH!"

"Talk, you sonuvabitch!" Haru shouted as she squeezed his throat. "Who... SENT YOU?!"

"Okay, okay! Just please, don't kill me!" the Phantom Lord mook cried, causing Haru to loosen her hold on his throat as he gasped for breath. "We... we were hired to capture some girl! She joined up with you guys recently!"

"...What girl?" Haru asked as her eyes went wide.

"I... I think her name was... Lucy!" the mook cried. "Yeah, that's it! Lucy Heartfilia! That's her name! Her father hired us to get her back! In fact, Juvia probably caught her, already!"

"...What...?!" Haru whispered in disbelief... but then, a loud crash caused her to turn around, only for her to gasp in horror... for there, lying prone on the floor behind with his skin a sickly green pallor... was Makarov, and before him stood a towering, cloaked figure in a top hat with wraps around his tearful eyes.

"So sad...!" he said.

"MASTER!" Erza and Haru screamed, causing Elektra to look back in horror.

"Oh, no! Grandpa!" she cried as she ran to aid her ailing grandfather... but in doing so, she accidentally released her hold on Gajeel.

"Gihi...!" the Iron Dragon Slayer grinned before he charged at the Magnetism Wizard.

"ELEKTRA, BEHIND YOU!" Gray yelled, but his cry of warning came too late, for Elektra turned around, only to gasp as she saw Gajeel turn his arm into an iron rod, again.

"IRON DRAGON DEMON LOGS!"

Elektra braced herself, holding her arms up in an attempt to block the attack... but she was soon struck down, and as the rod connected with her, there was a loud, sickening snap as Elektra soon collapsed to the ground, screaming in pain as her right arm and left leg both hung limp!

"ELEKTRA, NO!" Natsu cried.

"Well, well," said Gajeel. "Looks like the fun's over, already."

"Damn them...!" Erza cursed. "Not only is our fighting strength down, but our morale has decreased, as well... it looks like we have no choice." She then stood up while holding Makarov's motionless form. "EVERYONE! RETREAT!"

"What?!" Natsu questioned.

"Are you kidding me?!" Gray asked.

"A real man never retreats!" Elfman shouted.

"Yeah! I can still keep going!" Macao countered.

"Don't argue!" Erza shouted. "We can't defeat Jose without the Master's help! Elfman, you grab Elektra! We have to go!"

However reluctantly, the Fairy Tail Guild grabbed their injured members and ran... but as they did, Haru suddenly ran over to Natsu and grabbed him by his wrist, and Blue Fang wasn't too far behind her.

"Natsu!" she cried. "We have a problem!"

"What? What's wrong?!" Natsu asked.

"Natsu, I just got through getting one of those Phantom Lord goons to talk!" Haru answered. "They were never after us! This was all just a big distraction! The one they were really after... it was Lucy!"

At that moment... it felt like all of time had stopped for Natsu. His eyes went wide and he could have sworn that he felt his blood go cold... but soon after, he felt his blood quickly start boiling as his eyes darkened.

"They've got Lucy?" he asked.

"Yes!" Haru answered... and that's when Natsu's eyes flashed red and his fangs sharpened, his voice coming out in a deep, guttural growl as flames seeped through his clenched jaws.

"Where...?!"

Oh, shit...!
