Angel: I have less than 20 minutes left for this movie, so more chapters will be more frequent starting tomorrow! Also, I apologize if chapter lengths seem short, I haven't written a movie in over a year.

It's late at night as Tom drives up to his house with his truck after a long day at work. Some raccoons are eating out of his trash as he pulls into the driveway, and he honks at them a few times. He parks right behind Sophia's car: A 2019 black Nissan Altima. It was a present for her 16th birthday. He exits the car.

"Hey! Get out of there! Come on!" He tells the animals as he gets out of the car. "Get outta there! Get outta there, you filthy trash pandas!"

They finally leave and he opens the door to the house. "Girls, as Green Hills' most experienced veterinarian and senior student of Green Hills High, what is the fastest way to exterminate a raccoon?" He hangs his belt on the wall. Their dog, a Golden Retriever, Ozzy runs up to them.

"Hi, Ozzy. Hello! You're glad to see me. You don't eat garbage, do you?"

Sophia runs down the stairs, in an overgrown grey fluffy sweater and white jean shorts. Her hair is in a low ponytail.

"Dad, don't hurt the raccoons. Just set a trap for them and they'll get out of our trash," She tells him.

"Ah, that's my girl," He kisses her forehead. Maddie walks up to him holding a letter. She smacks the letter in her hand to get their attention. She smiles at them as he stands up. "What's that? Is that what I think it is?"

"Uh huh," She nods at him. "Open it." She holds it out to him.

Sophia looks on as he walks past her, biting her lip. Ever since she was a girl, her father would tell her all about San Francisco and how he's always wanted to move there from Green Hills. He'd talk about how he wanted her to have a great life there, but...as time went on, she wasn't sure what she wanted to do with her life after high school. Green Hills is her home, but...knowing that he wanted to move there put her at a tug-of-war in her head.

"Oh, it's kind of small, is that bad?"

"Just...open it," Maddie replies and he does so. He gives her a weak smile as he walks into the kitchen, opening the letter. Sophia slowly walks up into the doorway of the kitchen, placing an anticipated hand on the arch. Tom takes a deep breath as the two stop at the island. He takes out the letter and starts to read it.

"Dear Thomas, we have reviewed your application to the San Fransisco Police Department and pending inter-departmental review and background check. We are happy to inform you that you have been selected to join our team!"

Maddie jumps up and down in excitement. "Oh my god! Sophia, isn't that great for your father?" She rubs Sophia's shoulder as the girl gives a weak smile.

"Wow...oh my god..." Tom murmurs as Maddie pulls out a cake.

"Ta-da!"

"San Francisco sucks!" Tom reads the writing, seeing a burning bridge.

"Oh," She closes it in embarrassment as Sophia joins her side. "Wrong one!" She pulls out a new cake that has a police officer pictured on it. "Ta-da!"

This one says 'Congratulations, I never had a doubt!'

"You never had a doubt, huh?" He replies with a smirk.

"No. Mm-mm," She shakes her head. "Our own daughter helped me make it. Well, really, I just followed her recipe." She grabs Sophia and they share a group hug, the parents pecking their lips.

"I can't believe this!"

"I know!" She squeals a little. "Sophia, you'll love it there! I know you're graduating soon, but there are great colleges there!"

Sophia is honestly frozen. Green Hills is where she grew up...and now she has to leave. She didn't know if she even wanted to leave, but this was her father's dream. He's wanted this even before she was born. She doesn't want to hold him back from his happiness...

"You did it," Maddie giggles a little and Tom notices the laptop.

"What are those?" He points to the Zillow website on it.

"Apartments for rent I found on Zillow. I thought Ozzy and I could fly there tomorrow and...check out some neighborhoods. Sophia has school tomorrow and you have work," She walks up to him.

"I mean, this is all happening so fast," Tom walks out of the kitchen.

"Oh, man, it's the craziest thing," Maddie scoffs a bit. "You apply for the job and you get the job." She follows him and sits at the dinner table with him. Sophia stands next to her mother.

"Well, pending a background check," He states while looking at the letter.

"Oh man, hope they don't find out about how you used the neighbor's WiFi," She says while sitting down.

"Correction, we're still using the neighbor's WiFi," He replies, pointing to herself and Sophia. "Isn't that right, kiddo?" He lightly punches her arm, Maddie laughing.

"Yeah, it's a real crime to still be using my Hulu account while you're at it..." Sophia lightly joked as she frowns to herself.

"Girls, I-I mean...are you sure you're both okay with this?"

"Thomas Michael Wachowski...what did you do the entire time I was in veterinarian school?" She eyes him.

"I worked a second job to pay the rent and-"

"A third job to pay tuition. And you refused to let Sophia get a job to help out with paying back the loans involved. You sacrificed for me, I'm happy to sacrifice for you." She smiles softly and he returns it. They both look up at Sophia and she stiffens. "Are you alright with this, Sophia?"

After all that her father has done for her throughout the years, how could she deny him his dream? She already knows that if she says no, he won't go through it...Her mother was right, he has done a lot for them. He worked overtime just to get her a nice car for her birthday.

"Yeah, it-it's fine, Dad. I'm just...gonna miss home, that's all," She looks away.

"Babe, are you sure you're okay with this?" Maddie stands up and he looks up at them. "I mean, there's been a Wachowski protecting this town for more than 50 years...this is a big change."

Sophia bites her lip. She, unfortunately, wasn't going to continue that legacy, since she doesn't even know what she wants to do with her life. Besides, she'd prefer everything the way it was…

"I'm positive," He replies with a smile. "It's time for this guy to get out there and prove himself. I love Green Hills, but...you know, I wanna help people in real trouble. I want someone to turn to me in a life or death situation and I'll be there for them."

Sophia looks downwards, nodding in understanding. "Yeah...you always say that."

"I get it," Maddie smiles at him. "I'm so proud of you."

She pulls everyone into another hug. "Thank you."

"Congratulations, Dad," Sophia says quietly and Tom pulls back to look at her.

"Are you alright, sweetie?"

"Yeah, I'm just...tired," She smiles weakly, backing away towards the stairs. "I'm, uh, gonna go to bed, it was a pretty long day at school."

"Oh, so you don't wanna hang around your old man any longer than you have to, kiddo?" Tom jokes towards her.

"You know what I meant," She jokes back. "Goodnight Mom, goodnight Dad."

"Goodnight," They tell her as Tom hugs her, kissing her forehead. Maddie hugs her daughter, giving her a big kiss on the top of her head.

She walks upstairs and reaches her room, which has light pink walls with carpet. White fairy lights are hanging from the ceiling. She has a big queen bed in the middle of her room, which is surrounded by two small white dressers. The bed has a tie dye pattern of white, pink, and green for the covers, and two pink fluffy pillows in front of the headboard. Both of the dressers have a night lamp which she usually uses for reading. Right next to her right side dresser is the window that looks out to the outside. Right next to that window is a BTS poster hanging above her white marble desk, mainly used for studying or doing homework. Across the desk on the opposite side is her closet.

Pressing her back against the door, she takes off her glasses and sighs sadly, pinching her nose. For some reason, she felt like something was waiting for her out there in Green Hills...and she's truly happy for her dad, but what if she's not happy in San Francisco? She's made so many memories here that she's not sure if she wants to leave all that behind...

Maybe it'll end up bad for her if she leaves...

She takes a seat at her computer and decides to distract herself by looking up some recipes to try out in San Francisco. Even though she would be leaving behind her friends at school right after graduating and would be moving to an entirely different environment. And she would have trouble making new friends, getting into a college there, adjusting to a new home.

But this is what her dad wants, so she couldn't possibly tell him. She just hoped it didn't catch up to her.

A blue blur speeds by her window and she looks up to see no one there. However, sitting on her sill is a single red rose. She smiles as she walks up and takes it. She gently touches it and looks outside, unaware that Sonic is watching her.

He had come back to check on her, and when he saw her face when she walked in, he couldn't bear it…so he just wanted her to smile despite whatever she was going through.

"Sweet dreams, Sunshine," He murmurs as he walks away.
