Chapter 3

Everyone walked down into the lab where Kat was about to tell the girls of the 'things that require their help'. They found the 'Special Vial of Chemical X' by eye lasering the box it was sealed in, and the note attached to it as well. It read: 'Use if the girls are to turn into statues. Remember: ONLY use if the girls are currently statues.' So a new form of Chemical X that can annihilate the stoning curse? Awesome! What's not so awesome is (as the note described) it will only affect people who've already been turned into statues. The next thing on the list was to find the 'creator' himself, whereas the message said he's in a room only the girls could locate with their X-Ray vision. Even with those abilities, finding said room was a grueling task in of itself.

"I thought the note said only you three could find it. How is it that not even your X-Ray vision is helping?" Kat asked.

"I'm not sure! I thought the note was clear enough as is!" Blossom was in a panic. "Maybe we misread it! Maybe the location changed! Or even worse... DESTROYED!"

"Relax Blossom! Short breaths leader girl!" She did as ordered by Buttercup. "Okay. Now then. Why don't we readjust our eyesight, and double check to look for our 'Below 0 scientist'?"

At the sound of the question, Blossom fully regained herself and shook herself out of her mass hysterity (A/N: Is that a real word?). "Okay... you're right, I'm sorry. Let's just keep searching." The three continued to search the area until Blossom eventually found the area in the room the Professor himself slept in. "Girls! He's in his room!" Everyone ran in, and saw the place in a neat condition, not a single thing out of place. "Strange... nothing here is in shambles."

"Yeah..." Bubbles took note of the dustless room, and only came to one conclusion. "Someone's been here recently..."

"You sure? There's nobody else here but us." Kat said as she accidentally found a hidden area. "Hey, check this!"

The sisters made haste and looked through the crack. "I see something!" They pulled open the door leading to the secret room, and were amazed by how right they were.

"IT'S HIM!" Everyone said. They all looked at the frozen capsule holding a man in it. The man was about two and a half times the girls' size. He had black hair and wore a white lab coat with a black tie.

"Oh my gosh! He really didn't want to miss out on the future of Townsville eh?" Bubbles queried.

"Or on us." Buttercup added.

"Wait girls... look." On the capsule there's text that reads 'Tomorrow'. What does that mean? "All it says is tomorrow; think any of you have an idea on what that means?" Blossom asked.

"Maybe it means the capsule will open up tomorrow?" Kat thought.

"It does seem like the only accurate thought. We should listen to what it says; who knows what'll happen if we let him out early?"

"True." Everyone said. They set a reminder for themselves to come back here tomorrow morning and wait for him to awaken. Once everyone left the house however, they were immediately stunned and knocked out by a stray laser! A huge shadowy hand grabbed the four characters, and disappeared. Oh no... what's gonna become of them!?

(About one hour later)

"Ugh... what happened?" Asked Buttercup, who was still trying to open her eyes.

A dark, gravely voice came to reply. "Ah... it seems you have woken up from your nth year nap Powerpuff Girls. Relax, those restraints can't hold you... break out of them so we can meet once again. Face-to-face this time!"

All three girls struggled until the restraints came loose and broke. "Alright, wherever you are, you'd better show yourself before things get ugly!" Blossom threatened. "And where's Katrina!?"

"Alright... alright... fine. I'll give you each some hints. Look in the exact same direction as each other. Now look left. Little more to the left. No that's too much, more to the right. There! Now look up." The girls looked up to see a pair of eyes shining through the darkness. "Hello again 'Legendary Heroes'..."

"That voice... it sounds familiar. Those eyes!" Blossom and her sisters kept looking up at the eyes until a huge metallic behemoth came falling down! The robot looked well-built in design, with a turban on its head, a chest plate edged with small amounts of yellow spikes, two cannons on its shoulders, fingers on its left hand, and a drill for its right. On top of those hands are missile launchers, on the backside of the robot was a jetpack, and in its stomach region was a large brain. The face of it, looked like a chimp of sorts. "MOJO JOJO!?" She screamed. (A/N: Since Mojo's voice has a robotic voice effect, his text will only be in bold).

"CORRECT! It's been so long girls, see what I must do to survive? Survive as nothing more than a brain that's a hair short of a true body! My brain is captively kept in an indestructible shield with no weakness! No weakness from the likes of you three!" He stopped babbling and pulled down a switch. The lights in the room turned on and the figure of Mojo Jojo was more visible now.

"It's huge!" Bubbles said, stating the obvious.

"It's enormous!" Buttercup once again stated the obvious.

"It's amazing! The way you went out of your way to keep your own brain alive in the body of this mech! Mojo... you've actually surprised me for once." Blossom commented.

"I thank you for that. But this meeting I called isn't about complimenting me. Me as your enemy! Me, as the one who captured your weak human friend and savior!" Mojo pressed a button which revealed Katrina stuck in chains over a sea of lava!

"Let Katrina go Mojo!" Buttercup yelled.

"Oh... is that her name? Well then Katrina, I'm sorry you have to be the only one witness to your own demise in just a few short seconds... now if you'll excuse me I must- AGH!" He was interrupted from a laser blast from Bubbles.

"Let. Her. GO!" Bubbles threatened.

"Ohohohoho... I've waited for this for a long... time..." Mojo unveiled his armaments and started firing at the girls. A heavy assault of missiles and lasers were fired towards the three that dared to stand before him in his new form of might and awesomeness. The girls were swarming around the monster like flies; and like flies, eventually, Bubbles was swatted out of the sky! "HA! Let that be a lesson to you!"

"That you still can't with without the help of machines!?" Bubbles jokingly queried.

"WHAT!? In case you forgot... I. NEED THIS. TO STAY. ALIVE!" He was just about to punch that brat out of existence, until commander and leader Blossom came to the rescue.

"Whew! Almost got turned into a Powerpuff Pancake. Both of us!" Blossom joked.

"Mhm. Let me go! I wanna teach this monkey a lesson he'll dare not to forget!" Bubbles angrily said. "Time for Bubbles to go: HARDCORE!"

"Yeah! You go Bubbles!" Buttercup cheered.

Everyone watched as Mojo's robotic prison was beaten, battered, and bashed; but in no way harmed in the slightest. Well the brain wasn't at least. "Uh-oh..." The entire monolith of a machine came crumbling down and turned into a pile of scrap. With problem one down, the girls flew up to deal with problem two. They managed to free Kat no problem and drop her down to safety.

"Huh? Hey!" Buttercup witnessed Mojo's brain in a capsule on four legs trying to get away.

"AH! Spider bot!" Bubbles screamed.

"Bubbles... spiders have eight legs." Blossom reminded her.

The capsule gained four extra legs just to mess with the mind of Bubbles. "EEP!"

"*Sigh...* I'll take care of it..." Buttercup flew over to Mojo's cerebral cortex making a run for it. "Not so fast! Seriously this thing really isn't fast." When she least expected it, it latched onto her face and crawled onto her head; pink electricity started coursing around her. When she finally came to her eyes were totally white and started to speak differently. "Ooh... I knew this would work! Mojo's in charge of Buttercup now! MWAHAHAHA! *Coughing* Oof... been a while since I've had lungs..." Their sister was definitely gone; all they really have to do now is fight her out of that trance. Buttercup (Mojo) lunged at the girls, missing completely. "WHAT!? You're under MY command! Your body is MINE to control!" He gave her another shock and this time it was definitely not a half-truth. "Finally..." He fired Buttercup's eye lasers at his targets; instead of fleeing, they countered it with their own.

"Katrina! Run now!" She listened but Buttercup (Mojo) suddenly switched her attention over to her!

"Uh uh uh. No guests are allowed to leave until- OOF!" The brain was knocked clean off Buttercup's head, and her consciousness returned to her. "Ugh... that was not cool..."

"Oh no!" His legs frantically scrambled in place. He never knew his time would come now; even if it was the way he was expecting to go down. "WAIT!" He finally said. "Please... stop with the fighting... please! I beg!"

Blossom held him up by one leg, thinking about just crippling the robot further. With a one eyed stare into the eyes on the small monitor, she turned back to her sisters to give them the verdict. "He's being serious. Show him mercy."

"But Blossom-!" Buttercup tried.

"DON'T argue with the leader! We are showing this brain in a jar mercy; neither one of you will attack him any further." Her attention then shifted back to Mojo's cerebrum. "But if you even dare to use our minds for evil, you won't like the result." She threatened.

"AGH! You have my word for it! Trust me! Can't everyone be given a second chance? Bury the hatchet? Let bygones be bygones? Kiss and make up?"

"You're a brain in a jar."

"So I am... but still, if I'm going to stop, I only ask for one thing in return, that you rebuild my giant robot from these blueprints. I cannot get around as a four-legged jar with a brain stuck in it! People will think I'm some alien; and I'm no alien, I'm Mojo Jojo for heaven's sake!"

"We get it Mojo. You want to change. I'll be the one to help you if that's what you wish for." Blossom said.

"But!" Both sisters stuttered.

"I thought I made myself CLEAR!" The other two nodded and immediately got to work on the mecha robot suit. "Now that that's settled down, I'll help too." While she flew off Katrina approached Mojo.

"So you saved yourself by sticking your brain in a jar?" Asked Katrina, curious as to how he did it.

"Yes... It was by far the most grueling process ever to have been done myself, Mojo Jojo! Which is me, and that is what you shall refer to me as, and by none other than Mojo Jojo!" He rambled. "But if it's how I did it you wish to know..."

"Yes. Actually I do."

"Very well..."

(Flashback to 2056)

"It wasn't easy, especially when you feel your whole world crushing down on you. I was practically near my end, then I found this empty pickle jar out on the front of the City Hall. I took it desperately, and tinkered around with it, eventually turning it into what you see now. I had also invented a machine that would safely transfer my brain to this jar; the wires you see attached to it command the legs to do specific movements. But as I said, I'm merely just some brain inside a jar, so I invented several robots that would help me make an even bigger robot that I would pilot to get around everywhere. Once it was done, I inserted myself into the entry point, and rebranded from Mojo Jojo... to MECHA MOJO JOJO! Of course, it wasn't easy shopping for things when your entire body crashes through everything in plain sight, so I had my robots do it for me. It started getting lonely in my here observatory without anyone breaking down into your ceiling and telling you to stop what you're doing."

"Wait, you missed the girls?"

"No interruptions please. So yeah, I too had been living here in Townsville for very long in the form of that metallic behemoth. Until today where you were all captured by me in an attempt for me to finally get back at them... Sorry about all that."

(No time like the present)

"So... out of all of these events... I just have one last important question.

"Hm?"

"How'd the girls fail in the first place?"

"Er... not sure. You'd have to ask them."

"I did. But all Blossom said was: 'We're too afraid to talk about it'."

"So they are huh..? Upsetting... but I understand them fairly well..."
