"So, you mean to tell me there's this entire world of witches and magic?" Luz asked.
"Yep." Melissa said "In fact, here's a friend of mine right now."
They walked over to a stand where a woman was trying to sell human junk.
"Hello, Eda, it's been a while." Melissa said.
"Damn, I honestly thought you were dead." Eda said, "How's life been to you?"
"You mean besides my daughter getting kidnapped and my husband being murdered? I'm fine."
Eda stopped talking. By the time she had anything to say, a guard came over.
"Eda the Owl Lady, you are-"
Melissa knocked him out with one punch.
"Let's get out of here."
Eda packed up her stuff and they got on her staff. They flew until they landed at Eda's house. They go inside and see a girl and demon on the couch.
"That's my kid and the little demon she's playing with is my roommate, King." Eda said, "Now, Human, I need you."
"What do you mean?"
Eda explained that King had his crown stolen and was being guarded by a forcefield that only a human can get through. Before Luz could say anything against it, her, Eda, King, and the girl were on Eda's staff. They landed outside the Conformiturium.
"Alright, you two go up there while King and I will go distract the warden." Eda said.
The girl nodded and made a spell circle. A floating platform was created beneath them and they rose up to the window. They walked through the cell block, when Luz asked her something.
"So, what's your name?"
"Emily."
"That's a nice name." Luz said, "So Eda is your mom?"
Emily stopped.
"Not exactly. I was left on her doorstep as a baby, she raised me as her own. The only thing I've wondered was... what happened to my birth mother?"
"I'm sure-"
Luz was cut off when she was grabbed. Emily looked behind her and sees Warden Wrath holding Eda, King, Luz, and the crown.
"You nearly got me killed for a piece of carboard!?" Luz asked.
Wrath looked at Emily.
"Ah, the little Clawthorne." He said, "I'm sure the Emperor will be pleased when I bring you in."
"Who's to say that I'll let you take me in?" Emily said.
"Who's to say you'll be alive?"
Wrath backed Emily against a wall. Luz remembered something and started to dig through her bag. She pulled out the fire work and looked at Emily.
"Emily, do you know a fire spell?"
Emily nodded and made a spell circle and Luz threw it in the air. Emily's fire spell hitting it, and making it explode. Luz, Eda, and King fell to the ground and Luz watched as Wrath ran to find a healer. She noticed that he was very burnt. She picked up the crown and looked at them.
"Alright, let's go."
They ran out of the empty cell block.
"Hey, why is the place empty?"
"Oh, we tried this before and managed to free a bunch of wrongfully convicted prisoners." Emily said.
They landed outside the Owl House and Melissa was on the couch, reading a book.
"Well, there's four of you, so that's good." Melissa said.
"Aunt Melissa, can We stay here?"
"I had a feeling you would say that." Melissa said, "Eda, try not to kill my niece."
"No promises. Kid, show her to a room."
Emily did so and opened a door.
"Here, you can share my room for the night."
Luz saw the Good Witch Azura bedding on the bed and knew this would be the start of a good friendship. In the living room , Melissa was looking at a picture of her baby that was taken.
"Why does that girl remind me so much of you?" She asked the picture, "I miss you, Emelina."
