After reading about an entire stack of comics some of which didn't make any sense to Camila she then placed down the final issue from the pile before standing up and taking a step only to trip on the stairs. "You alright?" Lilith asked as she slowly entered the basement and lifted Camila up. "Please tell me you can reverse this?" Camila asked as Lilith tried to give a positive answer. "Well uh... I don't think it's possible but it's not that bad right?" "Not bad!?"

Camila shouted at Lilith's face before slowly exiting the basement. "Wait there's still so much research to..." "Are you trying to make me your lad rat?" "Well in the way you're saying it..."

Camila screamed before exiting the Clawthone residence and was walking back home as Lilith ran after her. "Cam wait!" She cried out as she ignored the flashing red light while running the sidewalk as she fell and landed on the pavement as the sound of a screeching car came closer.

"LILY!" Cam yelled as her eyes were sparkling with electricity as she then took a step and soon ran as everything slowed down around her.

("Ok just like last time, every step I take is like a second.") Camila thought as she looked at Lilith's frozen face of fear as she snatched her up and leaped as everything went back to normal time as Lilith and Camila rolled around before stopping as Lilith was breathing heavily as tears ran through her face.

"Cam..." Lilith then quickly held onto her friend tightly. "You could've..." "It's my fault I wanted to apologize for being over-excited at the thought of you being..."

"I know, and I think I want to go ahead with it," Camila told her as Lilith looked at her. "Are you sure? I've read a lot of comics and I know what mostly happens." "Yeah I know but I'm willing to take that risk, what do you say partner?"

Lilith then squealed in delight. "Ok first things first a good test area, practicing a few liable excuses, and the best part..." "Let me guess the outfit?" Camila said as Lilith nodded. "Fine but I'm designing it." "Fair enough."

Over the next few days, Lilith had managed to convert the basement into a proper lab by "Borrowing" a bit of equipment from the school's science room and with her parents refurbishing the basement and painting it as they decided not to question their daughter and her scientific knowledge as Camila showed up later with her clothes tattered. "What happened?" "Never try to run faster than light..." Camila said panting as she drank a bottle of water as Lilith then handed her some spare clothes which she put on.

"Wow, you've changed everything." "Like it? Mother and Father helped me with the painting, now let's get started." Lilith said as she struggled to pull a treadmill. "What's with that?" Camila asked to which Lilith replied, "To test your speed." "Uh..." "Relax it's perfectly safe, hopefully."

Lilith said with unease as she put it to the highest setting. "With the amount of energy you produce this should feel like at first level so just step on it." Camila then simply placed her foot on it only to be flung back. "Ok might need to lower it down a bit."

"You think?" Camila said with a bruise on her head as Lilith then lowered it down as Camila then went on and slowly ran. "Ok making progress." Lilith was slowly looking at the computer monitoring the status of Cam's speed as the vitals went up and to the point where the treadmill was starting to smoke. "Cam I think that's enough." "I don't think I can stop..."

Camila said nervously as more smoke began to come out as Lilith tried to pull the cord only to receive a shock from it. "SLOW DOWN!" "Uhm I..." Soon the treadmill sparked as it began to overheat as it then flipped sending Camila into the air a bit before she then halted herself as her shoes and socks had burned off.

"Well, that's a ..." Camila was cut off as Lilith then sprayed her with a fire extinguisher covering her in carbon dioxide. "Ok test one not a total loss," Lilith said while Camila sat down and rested. "Guess the second test will be tomorrow then." "What? How much more info do you need?"

Lilith then thought for a bit before saying "Just on how fast you can go, the numbers of calories you burn, ooh and we need some type of fabric that won't burn off from your friction."

"And how are we going to get that?" Camila asked. "Guess who just got an internship with S.T.A.R Labs?" Lilith said. "Isn't that stealing?" "Now you're making me sound like my sister."

Camila then rolled her eyes while Lilith handed her a sketchbook. "Well, you wanted to design it so get to it artist." Lilith then left while Camila grabbed a pencil and started sketching.

After a few hours, Camila had wasted about half the paper which she tossed in the trash as Lilith came back with a long roll of white fabric and spray paint cans. "Well, anything?" "No, this is harder than I thought."

Lilith then looked through a few of Cam's drawings before looking at a few comics. "I got it!" "What?" Lilith then grabbed a pair of safety goggles and placed them on Camila's head. "Well, now you won't have to worry about getting dust and small things in your eyes."

Camila then looked at herself in a mirror as a lightbulb turned on in her mind as she then grabbed the sketchbook and quickly drew it within a matter of seconds before handing it to Lilith. "Well?" Lilith then put on her glasses and looked at the design. "Color is a bit bright and odd but it's a start." She then grabbed the fabric and walked upstairs calling for her mother Gwen to help with sewing and cutting as Camila smiled.

Raine slowly struggled to open the door to their home. "You sure you don't need help?" Their mother asked.

"I can do it," Raine said as the keys fell out of their hand as their mother simply picked up the keys and opened the door as Raine walked into their room which was covered with music and concert posters along with a violin stand where they placed the Violin and bowstring at while laying in bed as Raine then looked at a school photo of the three friends in a funny photo with Raine in the middle.

"Your fault... all your damn fault!" Raine screamed before chucking the photo at a wall as the frame shattered as their veins and nerves once again glowed red. "It's safe she said nothing bad will happen... lies!"

Soon Riane's mother walked in. "Raine please don't yell and stop blaming... your nerves..." "Go ahead say it I'm a damn freak."

"No your not." Their mother said as Raine grabbed the violin and string as they started playing. "See your hands are getting better." "Only when I use this," Raine said as they continued playing a soft melody as their mother simply sat down. "Why are you sitting go and make me a sandwich or something like that."

Raine said with sarcasm as their mother then left and then came back sandwich in hand. "What's this?" "What you demanded..." Raine then lowered the violin as their mother slowly came back to their sences. "What happened?" "Wait what do you remember?" Raine asked.

"You were playing a melody and then everything felt so calm." Raine then looked at their hands as the veins were bulging out bright red. "What's happening to me?"
