With Sonic and Amity; the two were still passed out but hanging upside down while tied up to a tree.
Amity woke up groaning.
"Oh, my head." said Amity.
She shook her back and became confused.
"What the, what's that digging on my back?" said Amity.
Sonic woke up groaning as well.
"I think I have a bonus life." said Sonic.
Amity looked at Sonic.
"How're you holding up Sonic?" said Amity.
"Hopefully I'm okay, but the whole world looks like it's upside down." said Sonic.
"You're not the only one who has that feeling." said Amity.
Sonic shook his head.
"I wouldn't doubt that, I've seen your failed attempts at flirting." said Sonic.
Amity became mad.
"Hey, I'm an awesome flirt." said Amity.
"What about the hot tub incident?" said Sonic.
Flashback
Luz was relaxing in the mansion hot tub wearing her swim suit when Amity in a pink swim suit appeared and sat down on the tub.
"Hey there, I see you don't have a lifeguard at your beach." Amity said flirtatiously.
Luz blushed.
"This is a hot tub." said Luz.
End Flashback
"You can't fault me for that." said Amity.
"What kind of a person uses a pickup line about a lifeguard at a beach while the person they're trying to pick up is actually in a jacuzzi?" said Sonic.
Amity realized Sonic was right.
"Fair Point!" She said.
"So." said a voice.
The two turned to see Buster glaring at them.
"You just had to eavesdrop on me, didn't you?" said Buster.
Sonic is mad.
"Enough to know that you're crossing a line." said Sonic.
"YEAH YOU JACKASS!" shouted Amity. "YOUR GONNA KILL KIDS!"
"Who cares whenever I see a child or baby and their parents aren't looking I streak their candy and punch them!" revealed Buster.
Sonic whistled.
"Wow, that's just cold, even by my standards." said Sonic.
"Yeah, even Belos would think the same thing." said Amity.
With Belos; he sneezed.
"WHO DARES TALK ABOUT ME!" yelled Belos.
Back with Sonic and Amity.
Buster just laughed.
"Who cares, Kids are useless, everyone made fun of me when I was a child and they live in that village, not even my own parents wanted me, they only care about themselves!" revealed Buster.
"You won't get away with this." said Sonic.
"I already have." said Buster, "Your idiot friends will believe anything I say."
"When they find out you're planning on committing mass genocide, what then?" said Amity.
Buster smacked the Blight girl.
"Zip it, plus your hair is ugly." He snapped.
Sonic was shocked.
"You think that's ugly, you should have seen her when her hair was dyed green." said Sonic.
"I'm naturally brown haired." said Amity.
"I kind of figured." said Buster.
"I can't believe your minions work for you!" snapped Amity.
"Please I'll dispose of them as well!" said Buster.
Buster walked off.
"Now what?" said Amity.
Sonic looked at the branch he and Amity were hanging from and started swinging over to it as the witch became confused.
"Uh Sonic, what're you doing?" said Amity.
Sonic smiled.
"Getting us out of here." said Sonic.
"I'm starting to get sick." said Amity.
"Close your eyes and just imagine yourself as a baby being rocked by your mother or father." said Sonic.
Amity nodded.
"Okay." said Amity.
With Buster; he appeared back at the campsite as Sonic and Amity's friends exited their tents hearing Buster panting.
"Guys, I've got bad news." said Buster.
Everyone looked at Buster.
"What?" said Gwen.
"This better be important." said Luz.
"Sonic and Amity, they were out on patrol, and they got captured by the Emperor's Coven." said Buster.
Luz nodded at that.
"Ok!" said Luz.
Willow nodded.
"Those two have been spending a lot of time together lately!" she said.
"I don't know what's more scary, the fact that those two are actually very tight now, or that the Emperor's Coven got to them?" said Gus.
"I'd be worried about their friendship." said Bria.
"Same here." said Ben.
"Well, we commence with the plan at first light, get some sleep." said Buster.
He walked off.
Luz then became shocked.
"MY COTTON CANDY HAIRED GODDESS GOT CAPTURED BY THE EMPEROR'S COVEN!?" yelled Luz.
Gwen and Willow did Willow's dead serious face.
"Really, you're just now processing that?" said Gwen.
Luz glared at Gwen.
"I'm worried, I just needed time." said Luz.
"Time to think about how hot Buster is." said Willow.
Luz growled in anger.
"I am not crushing on Buster." said Luz.
"Yeah, we can tell." said Gwen.
"Besides, if I know Amity, she's probably still hanging around." said Luz.
Back with Sonic and Amity; the two were still trying to swing to the branch that they were dangling under.
"Just...a little...more." said Sonic.
He then managed to reach the branch before grabbing hold of it with his chin.
"Got it." said Sonic.
He pulled himself and Amity up before the two sat down and looked at the knot.
"Simple bow." said Amity.
She pushed a hand out and tugged on the rope, making it unravel, freeing them.
Amity smiled.
"There we go, now to just warn everyone about Buster's plan." Amity said before climbing down the tree.
But Sonic landed on the ground in front of her.
"Hold on Amity, that's a crazy idea." said Sonic.
Amity became confused.
"How so?" said Amity.
"Because if we go back to camp to warn our friends, word will get back to Buster that we're still alive before his genocide plan can commence, he'll end up killing us personally." said Sonic.
Amity thought about it.
"Okay, so what's our new approach?" said Amity.
Sonic pulled out a pair of binoculars and looked through them all over the place before stopping.
"There's our ticket to saving hundreds of people." said Sonic.
He gave the binoculars to Amity who then looked through them and saw what Sonic was talking about.
She was looking at Hunter who was setting up a campfire with Lil Rascal's help.
The witch put the binoculars down and glared at Sonic.
"HAVE YOU LOST YOUR FUCKING MIND!? The last time I encountered him, he threatened Luz's life if I didn't give him the key to the human realm doorway." said Amity.
"I know it's a big risk, but he's the only chance we've got right now." said Sonic.
"No, I'm not doing this, if you think I'm going to form an alliance with someone who threatens the life of my girlfriend just to get something he wants, then I'm sitting this out." said Amity.
She sat down pouting.
Sonic sighed before sitting down.
"I understand your complicated incident with him didn't go smoothly, I've had trust issues with people who have judgement problems, but that hasn't stopped me from doing the right thing. Put your issues with the Golden Guard aside just to save a bunch of children who don't deserve to die." said Sonic.
But Amity just turned away.
Sonic stood up.
"If you won't do it for them, do it for Luz." said Sonic.
He ran off and leaped away.
With Hunter; he had set up a campfire and sighed happily.
"There we go. Never thought I'd be able to get it done." said Hunter.
But then Sonic appeared behind him and held Hunter in a hammer lock as he groaned in pain.
"Alright Goldie, let's talk." said Sonic.
Hunter growled in anger.
"You think I'm going to listen to you after you defaced Belos's castle with your offensive painting of him?" said Hunter.
"What other choice do you have? You and me have a common enemy right now." said Sonic.
But Hunter kicked Sonic in the chest, making him let go before turning around to punch him.
Luckily the hedgehog grabbed the fist, holding Hunter down as he became confused.
Sonic then pushed the hand back as a cracking sound was heard, making Hunter scream in pain.
The hedgehog kicked Hunter in the chest, sending him crashing into a tree.
Hunter groaned.
"How dare you." said Hunter.
Lil Rascal turned into his staff form and Hunter grabbed it before charging towards Sonic.
The hedgehog made his Excalibur appear followed by his Excalibur Sonic armor before he clashed his sword with Hunter's staff.
Hunter is pissed.
The magicless witch kept on clashing his staff with Sonic's sword before punching him in the chest and smacked him across the face with his staff, making Sonic's helmet break in half before each half disappeared, revealing Sonic's face.
The two continued clashing weapons with each other.
Amity appeared and punched Hunter across the face with an Abomination gauntlet with spikes on it.
"We don't want to fight you. But we will if we have to." said Amity.
Sonic held his sword up and fired a golden beam from it that hit Hunter, sending him back a ways before he stood up growling in anger.
"I've gotten stronger since the last time we encountered each other Blight." said Hunter, "Don't think I won't go easy on you."
He charged towards the two and started battling the two non stop.
Sonic's sword started glowing before he stuck it in the ground, releasing an energy like sword that emerged from the ground and knocked Hunter into the air.
But the magicless witch made his staff glow before launching some bricks at Sonic that hit him and made him crash into a tree.
Hunter landed on the ground and continued his battle with Amity.
The male witches staff glowed before he slashed at the female witch, but Amity blocked the attack with an Abomination like shield and was pushed back a ways and Hunter zipped towards her and punched her with a stone like fist and got ready to stab her.
But then Sonic flew by and clashed his sword with Hunter's staff, sending him flying a ways.
The two started clashing weapons with each other while appearing in different areas of the forest and stopped at one area and clashed their weapons.
"You have to listen to us, a bunch of innocent lives are going to be lost and the only chance we have to saving them is if we team up." said Sonic.
"I'll never work with the likes of you." said Hunter.
They pulled their weapons away from each other as each of their weapons glowed before the two clashed them with each other once more, creating a shockwave that destroyed a huge part of the forest they were in and created a crater and pushed them away from each other.
Hunter's staff glowed again before he launched some magic at Sonic that hit him and sent him crashing next to Amity and made his sword land on the ground.
The powerless witch approached the two and held the bottom end of his staff towards Amity.
"I told you I wouldn't go easy on you." said Hunter.
He held his staff up with both hands and got ready to stab at Amity, but then he gasped in pain.
Sonic and Amity became shocked.
Hunter started gasping some more as his staff turned back into Lil Rascal and flew onto Sonic's head before the teenage witch puked up some blood and looked down to see that Sonic's Excalibur had managed to stab him in the back and through the chest.
"Odd, I was thinking that this would have ended with us weakening this guy enough to where I end up pinning him to the ground with my sword since no one else can lift it and he ends up listening to us." said Sonic.
Amity nodded.
"Same here." said Amity, "What do you suppose happened to cause this?"
"I guess the Excalibur sensed that we were about to die that it stabbed the Golden Guard on its own." said Sonic.
Hunter walked away from the two still gasping in pain before getting on his hands and knees.
Sonic then removed the sword from Hunter's back as he groaned in pain before he resumed gasping in pain.
Hunter then laid on his back as Amity lifted his head up and she and Sonic looked at him.
"I'm surprised the co author was okay with the fact that he was impaled by a sword that would make He Man jealous and didn't try to come up with a better idea." said Amity.
"This guy will probably go through a redemption arc." said Sonic.
His sword started glowing green before he lightly tapped Hunter with it as his wound healed up.
Hunter became shocked by what happened and stood up feeling his chest.
"Wha-what happened to me?" said Hunter.
"I saved your life and made you forever in our debt, I feel like that's very obvious." said Sonic.
Hunter groaned in annoyance.
"I hate being indebted to someone, especially those who are my enemies. Come on Lil Rascal." said Hunter.
But his Palisman stayed on Sonic's head.
Hunter became mad.
"Come on, we've got to leave." said Hunter.
Lil Rascal just shook his head and chirped.
Hunter became deadpanned.
"You're not going to come along until I fulfil the life debt, aren't you?" said Hunter.
The bird nodded.
Hunter groaned.
"Pain in the ass." said Hunter.
He sat down followed by Sonic and Amity.
"Let's get this over with." said Hunter.
"Well, shortly after you tried to arrest Sonic for spray painting all of Belos's castle, we seem to have run into a rebellion group." said Amity.
"That ain't the worst of it, this rebellion group is being run by some guy called Buster." said Sonic.
Hunter became shocked.
"Buster, you fell in with him?" said Hunter.
Sonic and Amity became confused.
"Yeah, you know that guy?" said Amity.
"Know him? He's one of the most wanted witches on the Boiling Isles besides the Owl Lady. He's caused lots of problems for Belos. He stole lots of magical artifacts from Belos's castle, stole candy from children, tipped over griffins, and the worst thing ever imaginable." said Hunter.
Sonic and Amity leaned forward.
"He left a red sock in the white clothes of everyone in Belos's castle, turning it all pink." said Hunter.
A record scratching sound was heard as Sonic and Amity became deadpanned.
"How is that last one a crime?" asked Amity.
"Yeah, the first two I get, tipping griffins over is just cruel, and that red sock with white clothes bit is just a prank that people pull from time to time. It's common knowledge, you mix any kind of colored clothes with your white clothes, they'll change color. I've seen Spider Man 2." said Sonic.
"We had to pay a fortune just to replace all the tainted clothes." said Hunter.
"Oh boo hoo hoo, let me play you a little song on the worlds smallest violin." Amity said before moving two of her fingers together to make violin music.
"I'm serious." said Hunter.
Amity stopped moving her fingers as the music stopped.
"I know, this really is the worlds smallest violin." Amity said before revealing she really was playing a very small violin, "See?"
Hunter noticed it and became shocked.
"Earth magic." said Sonic.
Hunter shook his head.
"Showoffs." said Hunter.
"So anyways, Buster's planning on flooding an entire village of people who aren't part of the Emperor's Coven, yet it's occupied by the Emperor's Coven, and we need to evacuate everyone there before it's to late. Are you in?" said Amity.
"Like I have a choice." said Hunter.
Lil Rascal flew onto Hunter's shoulder.
"You try anything suspicious, I'll make sure I go for the head." said Sonic.
Amity shook her head.
"He's not going to get that." said Amity.
"I actually do, he's gonna knock my head off!" said Hunter.
"But not the film reference apparently since it's very rare for human things to show up from time to time." said Sonic.
"The Avengers." said Hunter.
"Didn't say which film or films it was." said Sonic.
Hunter nodded.
"Let's just get to the village." said Hunter.
Lil Rascal turned into its staff form before Hunter got on it and flew off.
"Why would a Palisman choose him of all people?" said Amity.
"Probably because the red cardinal symbolizes freedom." said Sonic.
Amity shook her head before her Palisman Ghost appeared and turned into a staff.
"That's stupid." said Amity.
She and Sonic got on her staff before flying off.
