The bright burning red sun of hell itself had just risen over the hill. Salazar McGee, called Sal by his family, and an imp demon from the ring of Wrath in hell. He was already getting ready for his daily morning chores with Paw. He just finished all of a sudden. He felt like a massive burst of energy that rocked the house.

"What in tarnation was that?!" Yelled his father, Joe McGee, Imp demon from the ring of Wrath, from the next room over. He was admiring his good looks in the mirror before that darn thing knocked him over.

"I'm not sure, paw, but we should probably go check it out. Make sure nothing has damaged any of the fields or killed any of the animals." Sal replied. He got up to check outside the window of his bedroom. Sal is 8 years old. He has red skin, stubby black horns with thin white stripes on his head. His hair is white, normal hair color for imps. He has yellow eyes with small red pupils. He has a small red tail with a tip at the end. He wears worn black boots, blue shorts, a white shirt, and some dirty torn overalls. An adorable demon he is.

"Good thinking, son." His father replied. His father, Joe McGee, stands at 5 feet and 2 inches. He also has red skin, white hair, and a barbed tail. His horns are longer and have thick white stripes on the black background. He wears blue torn pants and a white shirt.

They both run down the stairs and step out on the red soil that is their farmland. Their family consists of 6 brothers. Suppose you include Sal, that is. His family is made up, his paw, his mother, Linda McGee, his four older brothers by a few years each. And his younger brother by 3 years at best. Unfortunately, they are out today, shopping at the farmer's market.

Joe looked around. His yellow eyes narrow in thought. "Could be that damn fancy magic. We are imps, but even we can feel that darn thing." Magic is a commodity down in Hell. It exists. It's used even by the higher rank demons. But the imp race mostly can't use magic, so they ignore it.

Suddenly, Sal burst out running. "Paw, paw! Look! I see something!" He yelled in childish excitement. Ahead of them is a dark lump? Sal, all energetic, is ready to go. He's already halfway there before his paw notice. His paw cursed under his breath and ran to catch up with his son.

It took a few minutes, but they reached the lump. It wasn't a dead animal or some tree-like they were expecting. It's...a demon? No, not a demon. It's a human? A human child, to be specific.

"A human? How a darn young one got here?" Paw asked. He rubbed his head. "It should be impossible." He and Sal got closer to check out this human child. Joe kneels to look. Sal looked curiously at the boy. He had never seen a human before.

He appears to be 5 years old. Maybe a little younger. He has pale skin, really skinny, a green shirt, and black shorts. Black ruffled hair, closed eyes, and a curious scar shaped like a lightning bolt on the forehead.

Sal got close to the boy. He blinks, then bush. "He's cute." He coughs. Paw ignores that for now. Sal's just being Sal. Imp children mature fast after birth. He's still 8 years old, though. So puberty is still a long while away.

Paw nods, "We might as well take him in. See what he was up to. Or how he got here." He bows and picks up the human child. He placed the boy on his shoulder easily. "Sal, go check on the animals." It's not a request. But an order. Sal nods and runs to check on the Ferno horses, the Mag Chickens, and their Hell hogs.

Joe McGee carried this mysterious human child to his farmhouse. He can feel the boy's ribs through the clothes. Suffice to say, Joe is curious. However, he is a Hell-born demon. He loves all his kids. He's tough on them because Hell isn't a nice place for the weak. He loves his oldest son, Billy, although he married a hellhound man. He loves his youngest son, Salazar, who he suspects to be a bit different. Case in point, Joe McGee is a family man.

He entered his home and placed the boy on the couch. He pulls out his side pistol and places it on his hip. He sat down to wait. Now he waits for this mysterious human to wake up. He feels that McGee's life is going to be a lot more fun.

The boy groans on the couch. He placed a hand to his head. "Zarkas?" He mutters. Joe raised a brow. The Imp Overlord? A celebrity in their race. He smirks. This definitely got a lot more fun.
