It was a very sunny day, almost too sunny, and Serene Village was in ruins. All that stood in the town square were four pokemon: a Samurott, a Delphox, an Eelektross, and Yveltal. How did this happen? Well, before I can tell you that story, I have to tell you this story.

Chapter 1

The Wandering Ampharos

It was a peaceful morning in Serene Village, as it usually was. Yet, I just couldn't help feeling something was going to happen. I rolled out of bed and went through my routine. Eat breakfast, meet Addison outside, and go to school. On my way to school, Addison told me about her dream to join the expedition society and asked me if I would help. I replied, "They don't let kids in, so I don't expect them to allow an Oshawott and a Fennekin in, but it's worth a shot."

That day, in school, we learned about looplets and emeras. It was pretty easy, all we did was go up to Crystal Mountain and went through it. The emeras really helped to take out the wild pokemon. After we got through we headed back, only to find an Ampharos wandering around. We stopped him and he said, "Hello, I am Amparos of the Expedition Society. Is this Serene Village?"

I said, "Yes it is. I'm Noah, and this is Addison."

"We are in need of members for the expedition society. Would you like to join?"

Addison eagerly replied, "Yes!"

"Wait, they don't normally let kids in. What's going on?"

"Well, a situation is occurring, and we need more pokemon. So, you still want to join?"

"Yep."

"Good. Go to Lively Town and meet me there."

"Ok!"

After we watched him go, we went home and prepared. As we were going through the town square, Lombre came up to us and asked, "Hey, you know that Ampharos?"

We said "yeah."

"He just wandered off to Poliwrath River!"

We looked at each other. Everyone knows that Poliwrath River is dangerous! "We'll go get him." And so, we headed off to save Ampharos.

Poliwrath River, floor 1

So, as we entered, a clauncher attacked us. Addison is weak to water, so I was very worried for her. But we managed to fight it off. A couple rooms later (and a couple pokemon later), we found the stairs.

Poliwrath River, floor 4

Floors 2 and 3 were uneventful, but on floor 4 we hit a monster house. Turns out, Joltic and Heliolisk appear here. We ran immediately, for we were unprepared. The stairs were a couple rooms away, and I found a Big Ears emera, so now I knew where everyone was. We went up the stairs, ready for (almost) anything.

Poliwrath River, floor 5

On this floor, we found a Kecleon shop. I had enough money for a tiny reviver seed, so I got it.

Rest area

When we reached the rest area, Addison said, "We've gone through five floors and still no Ampharos." I nodded in agreement. I went over to the deposit box and deposited all of our gold, in case we lost it. I then deposited a couple of ethers so that I could withdraw some tiny reviver seeds. We rested and restored our hp and belly, and then we went off to floor 6.

Poliwrath River, floor 6

On this floor, we found a Palpitoad. It was a little difficult, but we made it out alive.

We found the weirdest thing on this floor. We found a locked door, with stars behind it. I was wondering how to get in, so I went around the floor looking for the key. We did find the stairs, however. "Final floor ahead," I said. "You ready?" She said "Yep." We went up together, unprepared for what we would find there.

We entered the floor and found only one room. There was no one in it, so we called out for ampharos. Then we felt the ground rumble, and out from the water came the 3 Poliwrath Brothers. We asked if he saw an ampharos, but they just yelled that this was their turf and we were intruding. They called for their lackeys, and the ground rumbled harder than before. 1 Poliwag appeared from the water. Addison said, "Wait,there are three of you, but you only have one lackey?" That just made them angrier. And the fight was on.
