We sat there, each waiting for the other one to move. I stepped forward and the Poliwrath used Rain dance, round, and bulk up. Addison stepped sideways, and the Poliwag did the same. Then, I used headbutt on the Poliwrath across from me, Addison used flame burst on hers, and the Polis all used water sport. I then used leer on mine, lowering its defensive capabilities, and Addison followed up with a metal spike, and my Poliwrath used round. The others stepped toward me. Yep, I was surrounded. The Poliwag also stepped behind a Poliwrath. "Addison, now!"I called. The fox Pokemon lept toward me, and we both used quick attack at the same time, on the same Poliwrath. He staggered back, onto the Poliwag, angering it and making it use round...on the Poliwrath in front of it. "Hey, what's the big idea?" he said, then using round on the Poliwag, who dodged, and the attack hit the other Poliwrath. The Poliwrath then used round on the last Poliwrath, bringing him into the fight. Astonished, I said, "Well, that worked out."

"Wondering when they'll stop?"

"Probably when there's just one left."

A few minutes later, only one Poliwrath was left, but just barely. "Wanna do the honors?" I asked. Addison replied with a "Yeah" and a flame burst, finishing the fight.

"What's going on here?" We turned around and saw Ampharos. "There you are!" we said simultaneously, "We've been looking all over for you!"

"Really? Well, where are the Poliwrath?"

"We defeated them." I said.

"And you beat them all by yourself?!"

"Well… (ow) Yes."

"Well, I sure chose the right Pokemon!"

Chapter 2

Leaving the Village

When we got back to the village, Ampharos said, "Well, see you in Lively Town!" "Goodbye!" we replied. "Wondering if he'll make it?" I said. "Yeah," said Addison, "Well, we'll find out when we get there! Let's go pack!"

So, we went home to pack. Then, as I went to tell Nuzleaf where I was going, I saw Addison at the door. She looked sad so I asked her what was wrong, and she said, "My pops won't let me go. He says it's too dangerous." "Well, I'm sorry." I said. Suddenly, I had an idea. "How about we sneak out in the middle of the night, and make it to Lively town by ourselves?" I said. "That's a great idea!" she replied. "But, won't our parents be worried when they discover we're not in bed? How about we leave a note?" I gave her a thumbs up, or paws up if you will. "Great!" she said. "Well, let's get ready!"

That night, as I laid in wait, I heard a sound outside of my window. "Addison? That you?" I whispered. "Yes it is me. Come on, Noah!" she whispered back. I climbed out of my window. She was still cute even in the dark.

"Let's go," I said. And we moved over to the village square, and went to the deposit box to pick up anything we might need. When I looked up, Addison said, "So, what's the plan? I say that, before we leave, we should go up to the hill, just one last time." So, we went up to the hill. "I'm gonna miss Serene Village," said Addison, "I sure hope we can come back."

After that, we went to leave. On our way out, we heard someone call "Wait!" We turned around to see who it was, and it was our classmates. "What are you doing here?" I said. Deerling said, "We came to say goodbye. And, we also brought these." She handed us a pile of letters. "What are these for?" I asked. I opened them up, and they were goodbye letters from everyone in the village, even Nuzleaf and Carracosta. "How did you know we were leaving?" I said. "Well, we kinda overheard your conversation." Goomy said. "And by that I mean Espurr listened in on it with her telepathy. Well, I guess this is goodbye." "Bye! We will visit whenever we can!" we said.

And just like that, we were off to Lively Town.

I know this was a short chapter, but the next will be longer, I promise.
