Matilda Clawthorne watched her family through a window with a smile on her face
It was weird family and she loved it. She had a lovely husband and two wonderful children
But they were...a handful
Her son Mason, or Dipper as everyone liked to call him, was smart
Very smart
As soon as Tilda gave him that potion making set, he started experimenting. he was incredible at making potions, and sometimes that became a problem
And one of those problems was because of how bad Dipper's aim was
Like how he accidentally hit his dad with some yellow restraining goo. It would've been tough to get him out if not for Dipper knowing how to control his potions using his...less powerful magic
The whole led to her husband helping their son how to aim correctly
"Ok, Dipper. Stay calm. Just breathe, focus and throw"
Dipper took a deep breath before opening a potion that had the yellow restraining goo, then he made the goo float out of the bottle and next to him
"Okay, here goes" said Dipper nervously before firing the goo at a tree with his eyes closed
He missed miserably and hit a poor bird that flying nearby
"...how about we try again?" said Mr Clawthorne with a cheerful smile as he saw his son drooping dejectedly "practice makes perfect"
Then they started trying again
Tilda giggled as she watched the scene from inside the house, she always loved watching them do stuff like these
Matilda then looked at her daughter, Mabel.
She had stuck two large spiders together and was using them to cling unto object to move around the house while yelling
"Grappling hook!" Yelled Mabel happily as she grappling hooked her way into the kitchen
"Hey sweetie, want a cookie?" Asked Tilda with a happy smile and Mabel nodded as she hung from the ceiling using the spiders
"Thanks, Mom" said Mabel happily before dropping to the floor and running to the living room excitedly
Mabel then sat with her orange size shifting pig, Waddles
The reason they had to get a new couch
The pig was prohibited from size shifting inside the house again after flattening the old one
Tilda had a job that would take a week to get done, her husband too had a job that could possibly take even more
She couldn't leave those three alone, but she didn't trust a nanny to babysit them, they always looked...off to her
Tilda shivered at the thought of a nanny in her house
And thus, Matilda had decided on the next best solution: calling a family member!
"Okay, let's see who we have." said Tilda as she pulled out a crystal ball to see her contacts "Mom? No, she's busy this week with the palistrom wood stuff. Dad's busy too. Grandma Gwen? She barely knows i even exist, so no. Aunt Lilith? Absolutely not. And that leaves...
Auntie Eda"

"Tilly! What's going on? You haven't called in forever" said Eda in surprise
"Yeah, sorry about that, I've been busy with marriage and the kids-"
"You have kids?!" Exclaimed Eda in surprise "With that wet sketti of a husband?! OH, I'll never forgive that-'
"Hey, don't call him that! I love my husband" Said Matilda pouting angrily before shaking her head quickly "look, Auntie Eda, i didn't call you just to catch up. I need your help with something"
Eda's eyes perked as she heard that, her full attention immediately snapping to her niece
"Me and my husband are going on a...work trip and we can't exactly leave the kids alone in the house. So could you please babysit the kids while we're gone?"
A pregnant pause topk place, Tilda waited for Eda's response and Eda was surprised by the sudden request
"Tilly, don't you know anyone...better to-"
"I'm sorry, Aunt Eda. I really don't have anyone else to call unless i want another person to keep telling me how much of my life i wasted because i refused to join that stupid emperor's coven"
Tilda became very angry as she spoke the last part, to the point that she punched a hole in the wall next to her
Eda stared at her niece with sympathy, she knew how Lilith made Tilda feel, something Lilith herself might not even know she's doing.
Eda sighed, then spoke
"Calm down, Tilly. I'll come and babysit the kids, so don't worry about it" she said in cheerful tone
"Really?"
"Yup. Can i really call myself the strongest witch on the boiling isles if i can't a few kids? Now tell me about the babies"
"Well, where do i begin?"

"Dipper! Mabel! Come here! I have to talk to you!" Said Tilda with a smile, calling for her children
"Coming!" Tilda heard Mabel yell as she ran towards her in a hurry with Dipper following right after
"Okay, you two." Said Tilda kneeling down to Dipper and Mabel's level "Me and your dad are going on a long trip for work for a week or so, and me and your dad decided to leave you with my aunt until we come back"
"Wait, i thought you hated our great aunt?" Asked Dipper in confusion as raised a brow
"Oh. That's Aunt Lilith, and I don't hate her. I just...don't like being around her." Said Tilda with a nervous smile before changing the subject "Anyway! I have another aunt: Auntie Eda! She's super fun and you'll love staying with her"
'Wait, two aunts?' Said Mabel telepathically
'This feels familiar' said Dipper
'Maybe we're just overreacting, anyone could have two great aunts'
'I'm gonna ask her'
Tilda stared at her kids waiting for a response to her cheerful remark, but all she got was...suspicion?
She was confused as to why her kids would be suspicious of her aunt, but then Dipper spoke
"Hey, mom. Do our great aunts have a similar sibling relationship to us? Like great aunt Lilith is smart and Great Aunt Eda is sometimes silly?" Said Dipper calmly
"Actually, yes. How did you know?" Said Tilda with an impressed smile
"Uhh, just a guess" said Dipper avoiding the subject
"Does she live all alone in the woods?" Asked Mabel with hope in her eyes
"Yeah. You two have some accurate guesses" said Tilda with a light laugh
'Yes!' Said Mabel with hope in her voice
'Wait, we need to confirm more' said Dipper firmly
"Is there a secret reason that had her leave her original home as a teenager and never return to her family?" Asked Dipper narrowing his eyes
"...that is...suspicously specific...but yes? She ran away from home for a reason she wouldn't tell me"
"Does she have a criminal record?" Asked Mabel eagerly not a second after Tilda finished speaking
"...uhhh. Would that make you refuse her as a caretaker?"
"Nah" Mabel dismissed her mother's words cheerfully
"Not really" said Dipper while preparing his next question
"Well, yes she does. Any other incredibly specific questions?" Said Tilda still in shock
'Mabel, i think we have a new grunkle stan!'
'Wait,... are we really gonna replace grunkle stan... just like that?' Asked Mabel, reluctance to accept the situation appearing in her telepathic voice
'Mabel...Grunkle Stan is...gone. We're not even humans anymore. If Stan is out there, and we're here, that means...'
"I know" said Mabel accidentally said with her mouth in a sad tone
"What is it, Mabel?" Asked Tilda worriedly "are you okay?"
"Oh, y-yeah! I'm fine! Totally fine! Heh heh" Said Mabel with a smile "now, does Great Aunt Eda sell junk that she labels as mysterious objects to scam people?"
"Ok, how do you know this?" Asked Tilda narrowing her eyes
"A good guess" said Mabel shrugging
"Now, final question. Does she potentially have a portal to another dimension?" Asked Dipper with a straight face
"Why do you know this_a good guess, right." Said Tilda before just accepting the weirdness
Then they all heard the door bell ring
"I'll get it!" Said Mr Clawthorne before walking to the door
Only for it to be smashed open in his face
"The Owl Lady is here!" Said Eda who had short orange hair cheerfully as she barged into the house with a small black furred creature
"King is here!" Yelled the small creature happily
"Well, your great aunt is here, have a fun time. Byeeeeeee!" Said Tilda before taking her husband with her and leaving
The twins stared at Eda curiously as they spoke to each other telepathically
'So this is our graunty' said Mabel with hopeful eyes
'Let's hope she doesn't employ us in weird tourist shop, heh heh' said Dipper with a weak laugh
'Yeah, right'
Mabel gulped down her...depressive thoughts and decided to introduce herself
"Hi! I'm Mabel! Can i call you Graunty?" Said Mabel cheerfully
"Huh, actually kinda like the sound of that" said Eda with a smile "alright, you can call me Graunty, and you?"
Eda then turned to Dipper cheerfully
"Uhh, I'm Dipper" said Dipper awkwardly as he scratched the back of his head "uhm...hi?"
After a pregnant pause, Eda decided to speak
"Well, I'm Eda the Owl Lady! The strongest witch on the boiling isles!" Said Eda dramatically before showing a small furry creature to the twins "and this little guy is King"
The twins were confused by the statement before Eda decided to clarify
"His name is King"
"Ohhhhh! That explains it" "yeah, that makes a lot more sense"
Then after a short pause, Dipper spoke
"Wait, you said you're the strongest witch on the boiling isles?"
"Does that mean you know some super powerful spells?" Asked Mabel curiously
"Want me to show you?" Asked Eda with a cheeky smile
The twins nodded vigorously with smiles on their faces

Dipper and Mabel had to admit
Their new Graunty was great!
They had a lot of fun with Eda. To them, she was just like Stan...or the next best thing
Even her addiction to hexus holdem got some giggles out of them
And playing with her, King and Owlbert was the most fun they had in their new life, even though the baby King had to go to sleep midway,
Though, all in all, it was great
But then the "oh no" came
"Oh no, did i forget to pack my elixir?" Said Eda nervously as she rummaged through her bag
"Is there something wrong?" Asked Dipper raising a brow
"I-it's nothing" said Eda nervously
"Graunty Eda, why are you growing feathers?" Asked Mabel pointing at Eda's arm tht was growing a few black feathers
"Aaah!" Said Eda immediately hiding her arm behind her "It's just that...i'm getting tired and you should go to sleep so we'd have more fun tomorrow"
"Are you hiding something from us?" Dipper said calmly, knowing where this was going
"Nooo" said Eda unconvincingly
"C'mon, you can tell us. We won't judge" said Mabel cheerfully
Eda sighed before she pushed the twins into their room
"I'm fine. it's okay, I'm just tired, it's late. Now go to sleep"
"We just do a few things before going to sleep" said Dipper before snapping his finger, causing a potion that stood between his and Mabel's beds to light up brightly before they heard Eda's scream "i- are you...okay"
The two turned to Eda
The twins heard a birdly shriek come from their Graunty. They turned around to see that Eda had become a large bird like creature with black eyes
"Run!" Said Dipper hurriedly as he dodged an attack from Beast Eda
Then the twins ran away and hid
"I think that's the secret reason that made her run away from home" said Dipper while catching his breath
"Graunty Eda kinda looked like an owl back there, is that why they call her the owl lady?" Asked Mabel curiously
"Mabel, that's not important. Graunty Eda said something about an elixir, maybe that's how she keeps that thing away" said Dipper focusing on figuring the situation out
"Uhh, Dipper" said Mabel with frightened expression as she looked behind them "DUCK!"
Dipper did as told and avoided a slash from beast Eda
Then Mabel began drawing a magic circle before Dipper stopped her
"Mabel, no! We can't hurt her too much, she's still Eda"
Mabel stopped drawing before the twins had to dodge another attack
"Good thing all the life threatening encounters we had made us great dodgers" said Dipper jokingly before focusing on Eda "Mabel, we need to knock her out so we can try to turn her back"
Mabel didn't answer and just whistled, calling for someone
It was Waddles, who rammed into Eda immediately after hearing the whistle
"Waddles, don't hurt Graunty Eda, or hurt her but don't do too much?" Said Mabel hurriedly "Just knock her out!"
"Mabel, let's go!" Said Dipper before he quickly pulled his sister downstairs
"Dipper! Where are we going?"
"I'm gonna get the restraining goo, it's made to tie down stuff like that" said Dipper as looked through the living room for the goo, finding it pretty quickly
The two then ran towards the vial of goo before they heard a crash
Eda threw Waddles down the stairs before jumping in front of him to attack
"Mabel, no!" Yelled Dipper in distress as he saw his twin jump into danger for her pet
But the attack never hit Mabel, a strange orange aura surrounded her
It took the shape of a bear that mimicked Mabel's movements, acting like armour...and a weapon
Everyone stood still in shock as Mabel did some short experiments with the aura, like moving a hands/claws around
"Oooh! Mama bear is ready to brawl!" Said Mabel getting in a fighting stance
She felt faster and stronger, and she was. Instead of barely dodging and running, she could dodge enough to fight
Beast Eda lunged at Mabel who managed stop her with her bear hands as she immediately wanted to call them
Dipper saw Mabel and Eda start fighting before he immediately opened the bottle of goo before making it float next to him, ready to be fired
He needed to aim properly or else he could doom Mabel. He took a deep breath and took aim, waiting for the right opportunity
The opportunity soon appeared, Eda jumped into the air to attack Mabel, and Dipper tool this as a chance and fired some of the goo at Eda. Saving some of the goo in case he missed
The goo hit Eda's wrists and wrapped them together tightly
"I did it! I actually did it!" Said Dipper happily as he saw the semi restrainted Eda
"Dipper!" Said Mabel snapping her twin back to Eda
"Right!" Said Dipper before he threw the rest of the yellow goo at Eda before she could try anything else, restraining her completely
"We did it!" Said Mabel happily "now what do we do?"
"I'm gonna try to make something similar to Eda's elixir thing. I just need a few samples"
And thus, after taking a few feathers from one of Eda's wings, Dipper started making an elixir

"Ugh, my head. What happened? Oh no! Dipper! Mabel!" Said Eda worriedly as she woke up
"Here!" Said Mabel lying on the floor tiredly
"Here!" Said Dipped with his face planted into a desk with a lot of potion stuff
"Are you two okay?" Asked Eda worriedly
"We're fine, i was able to fight your owl form with my-" said Mabel tiredly before conjuring the same aura she used to fight Beast Eda "bear hands! Get it? Because i have bear hands?"
"I get the joke, but you fought the beast?" Asked Eda in confusion before checking her face, there were no scars or slash marks, Mabel was careful not to slash Eda and Eda realized that very quickly
"Yeah" said Dipper tiredly "and i stayed up for hours to make you a version of that elixir you talked about, i made more if you need it, it's in the *yawn* bag"
"You made a cure? In one night? How?"
"Zzzzz"
But Dipper and Mabel were already asleep
Eda smiled before she took the kids and put them to bed
"You have some great kids, Tilly"
