"Today's the day, Dipper" said Mabel cheerfully as she hopped her way to school with Waddles behind her "today, I finally get my epic school romance!"
"Like your other school romances you had? Or the summer romances?" Asked Dipper raising a brow as he walked to Hexside "or Carwyn-"
"We don't speak of that name!" Interrupted Mabel quickly as she put a finger over Dipper's mouth "anyway, this time it's gonna be different because...i made a graph!"
"A graph? Like...math graph?" Asked Dipper as he stared at his twin in confusion
"Nope! It's a romance graph! Designed to help me choose the perfect boyfriend, and I'm gonna ask him out today" said Mabel enthusiastically as she and Dipper walked into Hexside "oh hey, Willow"
As the twins bumped into Willow who suspiciously hid her abomination cauldron behind her and whispered something that the twins couldn't quite catch before replying to the greeting
"Hi, Mabel. Hi Dipper. How are you doing?" Said Willow with a nervous smile
"Good?...Why are you acting so weird?" Asked Dipper, raising a brow skeptically
"Me? Weird? I'm not being weird" said Willow with a nervous smile as she started acting even more suspicious "I'm just excited? Heh heh"
"Me too! Today's the day that I finally have my epic romance adventure!" Exclaimed Mabel excitedly
Willow relaxed when she heard that before letting out a small giggle "is this gonna be like your last romance adventure?" Asked Willow happily
"Nope, because this time I'm carefully picking my boyfriend using information i gathered secretly on every boy in the school!" said Mabel cheerfully as she punched the air with a picture of her chosen date in her hand
Willow giggled happily before Dipper noticed the person in the picture "isn't that him over there?"
Indeed he was and Mabel was clearly able to see that the boy was taken already...by an illusion he created of himself
"Another failed romance, another fireball dodged" said Mabel with a frown as her shoulders slumped down before the school bell rang "well, I guess it's time to go. See you later, Willow" Mabel then pulled Dipper away by the hand
'You know she's hiding something in that abomination cauldron, right?' Asked Dipper telepathically
'Absolutely, but I respect privacy'
'Like how you apparently stalked other students to find a good boyfriend?'
"Well, it's time to go to class, see ya" Mabel quickly changed the subject before leaving for beast keeping class

"*sigh* I just don't know what to do anymore, Waddles" said Mabel dramatically as she lied on the floor "maybe I'm just destined to never have the romance I desire"
Waddles oinked twice as he lied next to Mabel and she took it as encouragement "you're right, Waddles, I shall not give up! For love awaits me!"
Frida overheard Mabel's dramatic moping and decided to approach the her "what is this 'romance' you're talking about?"
Mabel stood up slowly in confusion and asked "you don't know what romance is?"
"Is it related to necromancy?" Asked Frida calmly as she tilted her head
"No? Romance is love!"
"You said that word before too. What is 'love'?" Asked Frida expressionlessly
Mabel nearly choked on air just from hearing that. She barely managed to ask "did your parents never tell you they love you?"
Frida paused for a few seconds, looking through her memories before finally answering "no, my father never said anything about love"
"Did he not even say something about liking stuff you do?" Asked Mabel even though she didn't want this to continue
"Hmm, he did say he liked it when I do my tasks properly without making mistakes" said Frida calmly as if it's a normal thing
Mabel didn't have the guts to get deeper in the bottomless pit that was Frida's past. So she decided to try to help her
"Well, do you want me to teach you?" Asked Mabel with a nervous smile, making Frida pause as she thought about the advantages and disadvantages of the deal "I'll help you with your beast keeping magic if you do"
"...very well" said Frida calmly as she kneeled "please, teach me"
"You don't have to bow" said Mabel as she made Frida stand up again
"Do you not kneel to your superiors?"
"Let's just go" said Mabel as she pulled Frida by the hand as she went to the classroom door before turning to the teacher "I'm gonna go teach Frida about love and romance, bye!"
"Hey! Wait-"
"I'll also help her with her beast keeping magic!" Said Mabel before leaving with Frida and Waddles in tow
"*sigh* fine" said the teacher
And with that, Mabel was going to teach the Frida about love

Dipper made it to his class silently as he checked the potions in his side bag. The teacher told them that today was gonna be very serious assignment and Dipper wanted to prepared for anything. Little did he know that nothing could mentally prepare him what was about to happen
The class went as normal much to everyone's surprise, until the teacher decided to speak of the assignment
"Now, about the special assignment I told you all about; this test is optional and is supposed to test how well you can use your potions" said the potion teacher enthusiastically as he started putting blocks at everyone's tables "under your tables are a set of ingredients tha-" before the teacher could finish, someone already messed their ingredients up "a set of ingredients that make a potion that when used correctly, could melt this cube without damaging the item inside. Give me the item at the end of the day and you'll have no homework for a month"
Everyone cheered at the sound of a homework free month before realizing something stuff. The students, one by one, asked the teacher about the test. Dipper just went and made the potion easily as the teacher was getting questioned, the recipe everyone was supposed to use itself was intended to be finished quickly
"Got it" Said Dipper enthusiastically as he already got the item out before showing it to the teacher. It was a small glass orb
"Excellent, Dipper. If you can bring me that ball by the end of the day, your month will be homework free. See you then" said the teacher before leaving the room quickly
Dipper raised a brow at the teacher's choice of...everything. the test itself should be impossible to everyone in the class except him. The acidic potion they were supposed to make could melt through both the cube and the orb, he only managed to do it by controlling his potion using magic...something only he, in the class, should be able to do with accuracy needed
He then remembered what the teacher said 'the test is supposed to test how well you can your potions'. He looked at his classmates who were trying to make a potion without a book or anything to guide them, and everyone failed. There was no second chance for them
The potion teacher should know the level of difficulty her students could handle...unless opening the cube wasn't the point
All the students suddenly turned to Dipper, staring at the ball in his hands
'Bring me that ball by the end of the day' Dipper remembered before his eyes widened in realization. The test wasn't to get the ball out of the cube using a potion; it was to-
"Get him!" Yelled one of the students
-have the one orb that could actually leave the cube
Dipper immediately trapped a bunch of students in a large cube of an orange honey-like substance and headed for the door, but before he could reach it a student used the vanishing potion to appear in front of the door. A yellow liquid moved from Dipper's side bag and split up, some went under Dipper's feet and the rest went under the door. Dipper fell into the liquid and fell from the rest of it outside the room before sticking the door shut using the same honey substance he used before and ran away as fast as he could
He had to survive until the end of the school day

After a bit of time getting everything ready, Mabel started teaching Frida about romance
"See these? These are the fundamentals of romance" said Mabel cheerfully as she pointed at a board using a stick "first, we have love"
Frida stared attentively as Mabel continued
"Okay, love is basically...super liking someone" said Mabel enthusiastically as she pointed at the word 'love' on a board using a stick "and when that love is pointed at someone who isn't family, it means that you have a crush on that someone"
Frida just stared silently and expressionlessly at the board before speaking "so loving someone means I want to crush them?"
"No! It means you want to be their girlfriend" Mabel quickly retorted
"...what's a friend?"
The silence that followed Frida's words was deafening. Mabel couldn't even let out intelligible words, but after taking a deep breath, she spoke "okay, deep breath...a friend is someone who you want to spend time with in a nonromantic way"
"Spend time doing what?"
"Fun stuff" said Mabel tiredly, hoping that Frida doesn't ask another question
A pregnant pause took place as not even Waddles spoke, then Frida decided to end that "What is...fun?"
"It's doing something you like doing because you want to"
"Hmm...i like to be told that I did my tasks properly. It puts me at ease"
"So you like getting praised?" Asked Mabel with a smile
"Perhaps"
"All I need. I like what you did with your hair! It is really pretty!" Said Mabel cheerfully before getting no reply "is that doing anything for ya?"
"...no"
"Maybe it's just a fear of failure." Said Mabel with a frown "is there anything else?"
"...no"
"...AAAAAAH" Mabel cried as she was tired of it all. She planted her face in a table and yelled "HOT BELGIAN WAFFLES!!!"
"Did I do wrong?" Asked Frida with a hint of fear
"No, I'm just having a hard time finding out how I should go with this" said Mabel tiredly before she heard something similar to a stampede and the voice of her brother in her head. Mabel grinned and spoke "or maybe...we could try something a little more exciting"

"Get him!"
"This is, like, the 5th time I heard that today!" Yelled Dipper as he ran away from the mob following him "cut it out already!"
An explosion potion was the reply he got. Dipper dodged before a student blocked his way. A liquid flew from Dipper's bag and floated as platform in front of his knees. Dipper jumped on the liquid and it acted like a trampoline that made Dipper bounce higher. Dipper used the liquid to jump a second time over the student
"I need to start exercising more after this" said Dipper as he began running again
The students, although not as skilled as Dipper, were able to get out of Dipper's constrictions after a while. Dipper beat them multiple times, but they kept coming back and now, Dipper is out of stuff to tie them down and can only run or hurt the students. Not wanting to cause any injuries and gain enemies, Dipper chose the former
He ran away, dodging and blocking attacks before he saw a chance to deal with this: Mabel. He sent her a telepathic message as he ran towards her, and he was met with Mabel with her feathery wings ready to go with Frida next to her
Mabel immediately flew forward after throwing Frida in the air 'platform!' Yelled Mabel telepathically. Dipper made a bouncy platform that all three managed to to fall on
"So, how is this supposed to help?" Asked Dipper in confusion as he jumped backwards above the mob of students
"By being fun" said Mabel cheerfully "why are they after you anyway?"
"Because I have a ticket for a homework-free month with me" said Dipper as they began running again again
"I still don't understand what fun is" said Frida calmly
And with that, they ran as fast as they could; literally what Dipper was doing the whole time (much to his complaint), but then, the school went into lockdown, which allowed the three to be finally rid of the potion students
"Hah hah, what is this weird feeling? I felt this when we dueled too" said Frida in confusion as she panted continuously "it's like...fear, but not scary"
"That's excitement, girl" said Mabel cheerfully as she gave Frida some finger guns
"Uhh so, does anyone know what happened?" Asked Dipper, panting as he stared at one of the school's lockdown barriers "man, I need to sit down"
"Who cares! So, does it feel good?" Asked Mabel excitedly "do you like it? Do you wanna do it again?"
"I...think so? Maybe? This is weird"
"I'll take it as a yes!" Exclaimed Mabel as she punched the air
And with that they walked through the not locked part of the school until plants covered the whole place.
Mabel was shocked to find out that it was Willow and was also shocked that Willow found a human, that same fact interested Dipper a lot
Speaking of Dipper, he threw away the glass orb and went to the teacher empty handed. The teacher however, revealed that she was watching them all and granted the students a week without homework
Frida learned of a new feeling...and it wasn't love
Everyone had their adventure

I decided to push the twins' meeting with Luz till a later time. Dipper and Mabel would just be too op for this episode
