Chapter One: Shock It To Me
A/N: I am having Alexis already know Garth and everyone okay just to help speed things along a bit. I was gonna do Sweet Justice for the first chapter but decided against it where it has like four parts. I also want this to mainly focus around Garth and my OC so it will mainly revolve around them when I can make it that way cause i prefer to have a scene to work with.
"Okay is everyone ready for dissection today?" The teacher asks as everyone is at the tables with starfish.
"Garth it's fine." Alexis says as she looks at Garth.
"Alexis you know why this is bothering me." Garth says nervously.
"I know but look at it this way. It's not alive at least. So it's not gonna feel anything." Alexis says.
"Oh. I guess you're right. I'm sorry you got stuck with me as your partner." Garth says sadly.
"Garth we've been friends for ages. I'm fine with you as my partner. Look if you absolutely can't do it I'll do the cutting. Okay?" Alexis asks kindly.
"Okay. I'll try it for you. You deserve better buddy." Garth says as he goes to touch the starfish before it latches onto his face.
"Garth!" Alexis says as she looks at Garth.
*Timeskip*
"Ugh. I still feel like it's stuck to my face." Garth says as he is walking down the sidewalk with Alexis the next day.
"You're gonna have a couple knots on you from it for a day or two. Just leave your face alone. It'll go away." Alexis says as she looks at Garth.
"Thanks for not laughing at me. It was horrible having that thing on me." Garth says as Alexis smiles at him.
"No problem. You wouldn't laugh at me though I've given you plenty of opportunities to." Alexis says shyly.
"You kidding? There's been times I thought you would stop being my friend with how I can be sometimes." Garth says as he smiles.
"Garth you're the most sweetest and kindest person I know. That would never happen." Alexis says kindly.
"Thanks. So how you and your parents doing?" Garth asks curiously.
"Oh uh you know. They're okay. Though I still don't see them like I do my other parents." Alexis says sadly.
"Well it can be hard being adopted." Garth says before Alexis covers his mouth with her hand.
"Garth! Shh! I told you never to say that out loud." Alexis says in alarm.
"Oh right. I'm sorry. But I don't get why you're embarrassed about it." Garth says as Alexis takes her hand off his mouth.
"Because I didn't wanna be adopted. I was fine on my own. I hate being adopted. On top of that they smother me. They're nothing like my old parents. Besides I don't like people knowing. You're the only one who knows." Alexis says.
"I know but at least they love you right?" Garth asks as Alexis nods.
"Yeah." Alexis says.
"Well then that's what counts. Hey you wanna hit the ice cream shop? My treat." Garth says as he smiles.
"Sure." Alexis says as she smiles.

The next day as Alexis is walking though the hall she notices some kids laughing and looking at her.
"Okay. Weird." Alexis thinks as she opens her locker.
"Hey Alexis." Garth says as he comes over.
"Morning Garth." Alexis says kindly.
"I got something you need-" Garth then gets cut off by a boy.
"Ha! How's it feel?" The boy asks.
"How does what feel?" Alexis asks confusedly.
"To know your original parents didn't want you?" The boy asks as he smiles.
"What?" Alexis asks in surprise.
"You're adopted! No wonder you look nothing like your parents!" A kid shouts as others laugh.
"Garth you didn't-" Alexis then gets cut off by Garth.
"No but that's what I'm trying to tell you. Someone posted this video this morning. They video recorded our conversation yesterday." Garth says as he shows Alexis a video.
"Haha." Kids laugh before Alexis tears up.
"Alexis wait!" Garth shouts as Alexis runs off.
*Timeskip*
"Alexis please come out." Garth says from outside Alexis's bedroom door the next night.
"No. Go away Garth. I told you I don't want to come to school." Alexis says as she is laying in her bed.
"See? I told you she won't come out." Garth says.
"Who's with him? Doesn't matter. I'm not going to school." Alexis thinks.
"Alexis can we come in please?" A voice asks sounding like Diana.
"No." Alexis says stubbornly.
"Alexis please open the door. We won't laugh at you. I promise." A voice says sounding like Jessica.
"No. Leave me alone." Alexis says sternly.
"Okay Alexis. You asked for this." A voice says sounding like Zee before Alexis's bedroom door comes off the hinges.
"Zee! That's the second door you've done that to." Alexis says angrily.
"Oops. Sorry. Didn't mean to break it off the hinges. But still we weren't gonna leave." Zee says as the group goes over to Alexis.
"I'm not going to school." Alexis says sternly.
"Alexis please. Those videos are all taken down." Karan says.
"And I don't think anymore will be posted again." Kara says.
"It doesn't matter. Everyone still knows." Alexis says sadly.
"Alexis we are your friends. We don't care you're adopted." Garth says kindly.
"But I do care. I hate being adopted." Alexis says angrily.
"Well its not like you can change what's happened Alexis. The best thing you can do is face it with a brave face." Jessica says as Garth places his hand on Alexis's leg.
"That's right. We'll be there right beside you. I know I will. Just like you are for me." Garth says reassuringly as Alexis smiles at him.
"Plus after all the videos that got posted I don't think anyone will be laughing at anyone for a good while." Babs says.
