Back in the space transport; Roger was mouth feeding Pancakes in his room.
"That's right, eat it all up." said Roger.
Viney entered the room and saw everything.
She smiled.
The meerkat finished mouth feeding Pancakes.
"Whew, that seemed very gross." said Roger.
"You're the one performing it." said Viney.
"I know." said Roger.
Viney then thought of something.
"Just out of curiosity, when I asked you about where you were raised on your planet, you seemed pretty distant from wanting to talk about it. Why is that?" said Viney.
Roger looked down sadly.
"If I told you that, there's a possibility that you may make fun of me for the lifestyle I grew up in." said Roger.
Viney laughed.
"Please, I was placed in the detention track just for mixing healing and beast keeping magic before Luz came along. You think I'd make fun of your life?" said Viney.
"You'd wish you'd never saw it." said Roger.
"Dude, we've been stuck with each other for days trying to get Pancakes to a safe haven, and during that time I got to know the person you claim you are." said Viney, "You're still hiding stuff from me, just wait till you're ready to open up."
"Trust me, you don't want to know about where I live." said Roger.
Viney shook her head.
"I'll take your word." She said.
The witch then sighed.
"It's just that, in a friendship, there's a thing called honesty between two people. You've been honest about a lot of things already through this trip, but there's still stuff about you I want to know about you, where you grew up, what you did on Mobius, and why you took care of Kathy so much." said Viney.
Roger looked at Viney.
"I get that, but there are things about me that are best kept for me." said Roger.
The witch turned away.
Roger sighed sadly.
"Come with me, there's something I want to show you." said Roger.
"What?" said Viney.
Roger stood up.
"Just come along." said Roger.
He left the room as Viney followed.
Later; the two entered the Virtual Reality room and Roger held a hand out as an iPad appeared in it before he typed stuff down.
The iPad disappeared before the room changed into a VR version of Planet Mobius in some type of trailer park.
Viney looked around.
"So, this is what Planet Mobius is like huh? It ain't no different from Earth, especially for a virtual copy." said Viney.
She then saw some type of trailer home with a shed outside and became shocked.
"Yikes, look at this place, it looks like a shithole, I'd hate to meet the poor slob who grew up here." said Viney.
"You already did." Roger said sadly.
Viney became shocked before turning to Roger.
"What did you say?" said Viney.
"I'm the poor slob who grew up in that shithole." said Roger.
The witch approached the meerkat and reached a hand out to him, but Roger turned away and looked down sadly.
"Go ahead, make fun of me, you know you want to." said Roger.
"I'm-I'm just in shock by this whole development. I figured you had it going on back on Mobius from what all you said about taking care of your sister." said Viney.
"This is going on." said Roger.
He sat down on the ground with his legs crossed and Viney followed suit in front of him.
"I never told anyone but Meek and Wendy this; but before I was born my birth parents were closeted meerkats with homophobic parents who met each other on an online chatroom. They both wanted to marry two different people of their own genders, but didn't want to upset their parents by coming out of the closet. When they met in person, they came up with this idea to get married just to shut their parents up with the plan to get divorced when they passed away. But then I came into the world and they had to keep the scam going some more for several more years. Eventually they did kick the bucket, and my parents finalized their divorce but still lived with each other under the wealth of my cousin's parents. I've had playdates with Meek, but when his parents died in a limo accident, he was taken to an orphanage due to my parents inability to take care of anyone besides me and their drinking problem. Eventually we moved into a trailer park to save money, my respective parents managed to get married to their true lovers, and I've been alone ever since, at least until Kathy came along." said Roger.
He looked down in sadness.
"Tell me about the day she was born." said Viney.
"It's not important." said Roger.
"Go ahead." said Viney.
"It's silly." said Roger.
"Rog, please, I want to know." said Viney.
The iPad appeared in Roger's hand before he typed stuff down and the virtual reality disappeared and Roger smiled.
"I was coming home from school that day." said Roger.
Flashback
An eleven year old Roger was walking to his trailer before entering it and saw two adult female Mobian meerkats and an adult male Mobian meerkat as well as an adult male Mobian hippo were sitting on their respective chairs watching some sports while chugging beer.
He walked over to a bedroom and set his backpack down before he heard some crying, confusing him.
"Huh?" said Roger.
He saw a crib and walked over to it to see his baby sister Kathy was crying and there was a bottle full of milk next to her.
Roger grabbed the bottle and placed it in Kathy's mouth as she stopped crying and started drinking it.
"Alright, lets see if step mom came up with a name." said Roger.
He reached for a drawer and opened it up before pulling out a birth certificate and looked at it.
"Kathy. Yeah, you look like a Kathy." said Roger.
Kathy finished up the milk bottle before burping.
She looked at Roger before reaching for his hand and grabbed a finger.
End Flashback
"I'll bet she looks up to you like a god." said Viney.
Roger nodded happily.
"She sure does. But then I found out that Meek was living on Earth. So I packed my things, moved to the planet, left Kathy behind with her drunk parents despite knowing it was a bad idea, got a job to support for her. But I know that it's never good enough for her." said Roger.
He looked down sadly.
Viney looked at Roger and placed a hand on his shoulder.
"I'm sure you are!" She said.
"No I'm not." said Roger.
"You are, you've spent so much time trying to take care of Kathy where her parents couldn't. If that's not good enough, I don't know what is." said Viney.
The meerkat then looked at Viney.
"You're a very good person, you just need to realize that." said Viney.
Roger smiled and hugged Viney, much to her own shock.
The witch smiled and hugged Roger back.
"Attention passengers, we're making our final approach to Planet Maep." said a voice on the PA.
The two broke apart.
"Looks like our journey's about to come to an end real soon." said Viney.
"Yeah, we should check into a hotel as soon as we land." said Roger.
Viney nodded.
"Good call. But first, photo booth shoot." said Viney.
The two left the room and entered a photo booth.
In some type of space Uber; McWunkle and Glitz were in the space Uber which was flying through space.
"This sucks." said McWunkle.
"UBER TRIP!" yelled Glitz.
McWunkle grinned.
"That I'll give ya!" He said.
McWunkle then pulled out an iPad and looked at it.
"Been looking for that fuzzball for days, and no idea where he's at." said McWunkle, "Much less where he's going."
"Maybe he's going to a planet where kids are in charge?" said his partner.
"That's stupid." said McWunkle, "Why would a Mobian meerkat with green hair and a human with pointy ears head for such a planet?"
"I don't know, wishful thinking?" said Glitz.
"I've heard of something." said the driver who was a red Splixsion.
The two looked at the alien.
"What?" said Gltiz.
"The two characters matching the description your partner just mentioned are on a space transport heading for Planet Maep." said the alien.
McWunkle became shocked.
"Really?" he said before smirking, "That's excellent."
