When Ryuko woke up, in the middle of some random forest, she felt awful. She wasn't entirely sure how she had ended up in this situation, but here she was, face-first in the dirt. With a grunt of exertion, she quickly got herself back on her feet and drew her Scissor Blade.

"Ugh, Senketsu, where the hell are we?" Ryuko groaned as she clutched her poor, aching head.

"I'm not a GPS, so I wouldn't know. However, something seems different about this place," Senketsu noted.

"Yeah, no kidding," Ryuko agreed as she surveyed her surroundings. The first thing she noticed was the very unnatural gap in the forest canopy, almost right above where she woke up, along with a short skid mark on the ground right before where she woke up. "Well, guess that explains how I got here, and how I got this damn headache."

"On a related note, could you dust me off?" Senketsu requested.

"What? Oh, yeah, sure, I guess," Ryuko responded, using her free hand to brush some of the dust off of her sailor uniform-style outfit, the form that Senketsu was taking at the moment. "Screw it, we aren't getting anywhere farting around here. Let's get wandering."

"Just be careful not to get too lost," Senketsu warned.

At the nearby Beacon Academy, the annual Food Festival was well underway. It was a showcase of all things culinary. It was also a chance for some of the huntsman students there to show off their cooking skills, skills that would usually go underappreciated at such a combat-focused school. This was one of the few times that non-students would be at Beacon Academy, as it was one of the bigger events of the year for the City of Vale.

The young leader of Team RWBY, Ruby Rose, was taking in all the sights and smells of the festival. She wasn't much of a chef herself, beyond being decent at baking cookies, but she had a hell of a sweet tooth. That was why her waist cincher was a touch on the snugger side right now, as she had loaded a good amount of food into it. However, despite Ruby's appreciation for food, it couldn't overpower her dislike for crowds. As such, she was sitting on a bunch on her own. It was a nice bench, with a nice view of the nearby Emerald Forest. There she sat, nibbling her way through one of the chocolate muffins that Team CFVY had made when she spotted a head poking over the edge of the cliff. It wasn't that different from hers, bright eyes and dark hair with a touch of red as highlights, but when the rest of the climber appeared over the cliff's edge, her navy blue sailor outfit was quite different from the poofy black and red combat skirt Ruby wore.

Ruby had certainly not expected such a sight, and judging from the wide eyes of the other girl, neither was she. Fortunately for Ruby, the other girl spoke first.

"Uh, hey, what's up?"

"Hey… uh… you. Why'd you climb up the cliff?" Ruby asked.

"Oh, yeah, I'm super lost. I landed in the forest over there and walked over to this cliff. Saw a castle up here and hoped there'd be people up top," the climber explained. "Also, hey, I'm Ryuko Matoi," she added with a wave.

"Ooh, right, hi, Ruby Rose, that's me," Ruby awkwardly rambled. "You've got an interesting name."

"Do I? Seemed pretty normal to me," Ryuko responded, before her rumbling stomach interrupted.

"I didn't want to interrupt," Senketsu told Ryuko, "but you should find something to eat."

"Yeah, I know, I'm friggin' starving," Ryuko whispered harshly.

"Huh? What was that?" Ruby asked, having only heard Ryuko's end of that conversation. Ryuko realised this, and, not wanting to go through that whole explanation, cleared her throat and refocused on Ruby.

"Ah, I'm just hungry. Where'd you get that muffin?" Ryuko asked.

"Oh, from the Food Festival here," she explained, pointing a thumb back at the school. "I can get you one if you want."

"Hell yeah, you're the best!" Ryuko cheered, punching the air with excitement. Yet again, the pair was interrupted, this time by a stern woman's voice coming through over the Academy's intercom.

"This is the last call to sign up for the eating competition. Please sign up now if you want to take part. The eating competition will begin in fifteen minutes," said the announcer.

"Aw crud, I need to be there for that. My sister signed me up for that as a dare, and I don't wanna lose the dare," Ruby complained.

"Wait, an eating contest? How do I sign up?" Ryuko quickly asked.

"Oh, it's over this way, follow me!"

Not long after, Ryuko was filling out her entry form for the eating contest. The green haired teacher that she handed it to visually scanned it with surprising speed.

"Ryuko Matoi? An interesting name. Wait over there, the contest is starting soon," the teacher explained, his voice quick and with short, sharp pauses between statements.

"I mean, sure, I guess it's interesting," Ryuko quietly mumbled as she made her way over to the contest area, finding Ruby again.

"Hey again Ryuko," Ruby chirped, having just finished off her muffin and tossing the wrapper into a nearby bin.

"You just ate and you're entering an eating contest?" Ryuko questioned, an eyebrow raised high.

"Oh, heh, yeah. My stomach's pretty much a black hole for food, especially sweet stuff. They'll probably have to roll me off the stage after this," Ruby explained with a quick pat of her belly. Hearing that, Ryuko immediately imagined Ruby with an enormous belly, large enough to make Ruby look heavily pregnant. Ryuko might have liked that image, but still, she quickly shook that thought out of her head and focused.

"Jeez, I thought I was a big eater," Ryuko commented.

"You are," Senketsu added. "I don't think eating like this is a good idea."

"It'll be fine," Ryuko whispered as a quick aside to Senketsu, before hearing the contest announcer, the woman from the intercom announcement, calling for the contestants.

"C'mon Ryuko, we're gonna start now," Ruby prompted. Ryuko followed Ruby and the other contestants up onto the stage. The rest of the pack was a mix of Beacon students and visitors. All of them were noticeably larger than Ruby, not that they were fat, but they certainly looked bigger than scrawny little Ruby.

"You sure you can handle this?" Ryuko quietly asked as she and Ruby sat down in front of their covered plates.

"I told you, I can eat plenty," Ruby stated with quiet confidence.

"Contestants, are you ready?" asked the stern-looking blonde teacher running the competition. The row of contestants all let her know they were ready to go. "In that case, the competition… begins… now!"

With that, the line of contestants removed the covers of their plates and found a mountain of hotdogs sitting in front of them. Everyone got to it, shovelling hotdog after hotdog into their mouths. Quickly, it was clear that Ruby and Ryuko were the ones to watch, getting off to an early lead. Both of them were making good time, at around half a dozen hotdogs a minute. Clearly, none of the other competitors had the drive to eat like the two young ladies did. When Ryuko got the chance to occasionally glance over to Ruby, she was surprised to see how quickly Ruby could eat.

The pair of them kept up this pace for about seven of the ten minutes for this contest, and had gotten to a very solid lead, when Ruby paused for a quick break. Her belly was so full and so large that her waist cincher was letting out concerning creaking noises, noises that Ryuko couldn't ignore, despite her best efforts. It made Ryuko glad that her outfit left her belly uncovered, so the ball of a belly that she was forming was nice and free. Quickly, Ruby undid her waist cincher, letting her gut out as she let out a quiet 'guh' sound. That sound made a shiver run up Ryuko's spine and brought back those big belly Ruby images to her mind, only now there was the real thing right next to her. Ryuko froze for a moment, her eyes glued to Ruby's round little pot belly, before smacking the side of her head to try and refocus.

"Not now gay thoughts, I'm busy," Ryuko quietly growled to herself before getting back to eating.

For the last few minutes, the pair fought to keep up the pace. They were well ahead of everyone else, so the only real competition was between the two of them, and they knew it. Ruby didn't have the competitive fire that Ryuko did, though, so while Ruby just kept trucking along, Ryuko tried to up her pace. The girls' stomachs began to ache and groan and gurgle, but still they kept it up, even as some of the other contestants dropped out.

Then, when the two of them could feel themselves reaching their absolute limits, a buzzer rang out.

"Time's up! Everyone, finish what's in your mouth, and we'll count up how many hotdogs everyone has eaten," said the announcer. Ruby and Ryuko swallowed the last of their mouthful of hotdog and slouched back in their seats. Both of them had bellies that made them look like they had swallowed basketballs. However, it looked more obvious for Ryuko, as her belly was fully exposed and hanging out over the waistband of her skirt. Meanwhile, Ruby had the advantages of a covered belly and a slimming black outfit. Both of them idly rubbed their bellies while the count took place.

"I think I've got this in the bag," Ryuko quietly commented, before stifling a quick burp.

"Yeah, you were really impressive," Ruby replied, her compliment as genuine as can be. The praise quickly brought a beaming grin to Ryuko's face.

"The counting is complete. Today's winner, with 54 hotdogs eaten in 10 minutes, is Ryuko Matoi!" called out the announcer. Ryuko was stunned for a second, but when the reality of her win dawned on her, she shot up from her seat.

"Hell yeah, I'm the best!" Ryuko cheered, throwing her arms in the air in celebration as she basked in the applause and cheers of the audience. What was more important than that, however, was the applause coming from Ruby. That support seemed to feel more important to Ryuko than anything else. She was only shaken out of that when the announcer came over to her.

"Come back here in an hour and we'll give you your prize," she told Ryuko, before heading off.

"Well, looks like we've got an hour to kill," Ryuko said to Ruby. "Whatcha wanna do?"

"Ugh, I wanna take a nap," Ruby groaned as she tried to heave herself up off of her seat. Almost instantly, Ryuko reached over to help her up. "Oof, thanks Ryuko."

Once Ruby was on her feet, the two of them carefully made their way back to the quiet seat where Ruby and Ryuko first met.

"Oh man, that nap's sounding pretty good right now, eh Ruby?" Ryuko commented. When she didn't get a response, she quickly looked down at Ruby and found her with her head down and quietly snoring. "Seriously? Damn, you're quick." As soon as she finished speaking, Ruby toppled over to the side, resting right up against Ryuko. Ryuko froze up, her heart beat loudly in her ears, her hands shook. 'Oh no, she's friggin adorable,' Ryuko thought, 'and that belly…'

Before Ryuko's thoughts could go any further, Ruby, in her sleep, reached to place a hand on Ryuko's stuffed belly.

"Mmm… tummy," Ruby murmured as she snuggled in close. Internally, Ryuko was screaming.

'Too cute!' Ryuko thought as she began to blush hard. Cautiously, she put an arm around Ruby, waiting to see if Ruby reacted. When no reaction came, Ryuko risked going a little further, placing her hand on Ruby's round belly. Something that Ryuko noticed was that, while her own belly was fully taut and firm, Ruby's had just the tiniest hint of pudge to it, not much, but just enough to give Ryuko a little bit to just barely sink her hand into as she gently rubbed Ruby's belly. When Ruby began to stir, Ryuko froze again, but it was clear that all was fine. Ruby quickly went back to sleep, nuzzling her face right into the side of Ryuko's boobs. In return, Ryuko rested her head on Ruby's as she kept rubbing Ruby's belly. It wasn't long before the food coma claimed Ryuko too.

"Excuse me, Ryuko Matoi?" asked a polite man's voice. That voice stirred Ryuko from her slumber, and it was clear from her bleary eyes and dumbstruck look that she was not expecting to be woken up.

"Huh, wha?" Ryuko drawled, before realising what was happening and immediately becoming very alert. "Uh, hey, I'm awake!" All this ruckus pulled Ruby out of her own slumber, her eyes creaking open to spot the man before them.

"Oh, hey Professor Ozpin," Ruby said quietly, definitely not as awake as Ryuko was.

"I must say, Miss Matoi, you have a very interesting name," Ozpin commented, before taking a quick sip from his white mug.

"Yeah, I've been hearing that a lot today. What's so interesting about it?" Ryuko asked, clearly sounding defensive.

"Nothing bad, it just says that you aren't from around here," Ozpin explained, a calm, knowing smile on his lips.

"Yeah, I figured I wasn't in Honnō City anymore," Ryuko commented, "but how am I supposed to get back? I dunno how I even got here, I just woke up faceplanted in that forest down there."

"Well, I'll let you two in on a little secret," Ozpin said quietly, as he crouched down to Ryuko and Ruby's level. "I'm more than just a regular headmaster. I can send you back if you want, but I have the feeling you two would like to say your farewells first."

"O-oh," Ruby quietly let out as she properly sat up. "It feels like it's gone by so fast, I wanted to get to know you better."

"Yeah, me too," Ryuko ruefully agreed. "But, hey, maybe I'll find a way back, one that makes it easier for me to get home after." Ruby smiled at that, but there was still a clear sign of sadness in her big silver eyes. "Hey, c'mere, don't be sad," Ryuko said as she wrapped Ruby in a hug, even as she snuck a hand down to Ruby's belly, where Ozpin couldn't see it.

"I'm gonna miss you," said Ruby, her voice muffled by Ryuko's chest. She surprised Ryuko by having her hand meet the one Ryuko had on her belly.

"S-same here," Ryuko replied, trying her best to play it cool.

Eventually, the pair broke their hug and Ryuko stepped over to Ozpin.

"Alright, ready as I'll ever be. You better be legit about this," Ryuko warned. "Oh, and let Ruby have my prize."

"Don't worry, I'll make sure she gets it," Ozpin reassured. Then, with a tap of his cane, Ryuko was surrounded by a ball of green energy. Then, in a sudden flash, she was gone. Ruby's eyes went wide with surprise.

"What did you do?" Ruby asked, clearly sounding worried.

"Merely sent her back to her universe. Like I said, I've done this before. A lot of interesting characters come through from time to time," Ozpin explained enigmatically. "Come along now. You need to claim Ryuko's prize."

"R-right," Ruby said as she followed the headmaster. As she did, her hand drifted to the spot where Ryuko's hand had rested while they hugged. 'I hope she does come back. Maybe I should soften up a little for when she does. She might like that.'

Ryuko shot upright, finding herself in a dark room. It took her eyes a moment to adjust to the darkness, but once they did, she was relieved to find herself in the Mankanshoku home. She let out a sigh of relief, before feeling a heavy weight in her gut. She reached down to check, and found that, yes, that really was her gut, and yes, it was very, very full.

"Oof, I guess that really did happen," Ryuko whispered to herself.

"Yes, and now I have to deal with all that food," Senketsu added.

"Oh, shoot, sorry Senketsu," Ryuko replied. "Man, you've been pretty quiet lately."

"You and Ruby were having a moment, it seemed rude to interrupt," Senketsu stated plainly. "Love is just as noticeable in your body as that mountain of hotdogs you ate."

"Jeez, I didn't know I was that obvious," Ryuko commented. "I mean, can ya blame me, she's a cutie."

"No Ryuko, I'm not surprised. For your sake, I hope you find a way back," Senketsu tried to reassure. Ryuko sat there for a moment, silent with her thoughts.

"Yeah, I hope so too."

AN: So, yeah, I did a poll over on DeviantArt and Twitter (both of which you should follow me on) where I asked for a crossover pairing to write as a 750/800 Watcher milestone thing for DA, and Ruby/Ryuko won. Not gonna lie, this was a cute pairing and I'm glad it won now. I'd've probably written something I'd enjoy with the other pairings that made it to the poll too, but still, I liked these two. Might write more for this story later, but probably not right away.]
