Angel: This chapter might seem much shorter because you all know which scene of the movie this is, so I'm sorry if it feels that way. Also, I've officially finished the movie, so I will upload every single day until the story's over-but most chapters will come out during the late afternoon or nighttime because of my work schedule every single week. Either that, or I will forget to upload the chapter if I'm that tired from my shift.

Ari was in her maid outfit, cleaning off any excess from the plank they were standing on.

"Put some elbow into it!" Silver demanded, pointing at the ship. Ari stood up and sighed heavily, wiping sweat with the back of her sleeve in dismay. This was because there were hundreds of barnacles stuck on the ship...

Ari picked up her own bucket and scraper, stepping onto another pulley system. Jim watched as she moved over to the other side so that they'd work their way from there and meet in the middle. As she started, a barnacle hit the back of her head.

She blinked and looked towards the nonchalant Jim, who tried to look innocent. She smirked and bent down, pretending like she didn't notice. Jim stared at her, only to get his nose hit with a barnacle. He looked up to see Ari had scraped off a barnacle in his direction, laughing. He laughed along with her...until they saw Silver glaring and sheepishly went back to work.

Amelia was showing Ari how to chart stars on the deck, both of them looking out to the sky from a telescope. Ari pointed up to Orion with a smile, squinting as she looked through the telescope. Amelia put her hands behind her back, a small smile on her face.

Ari threw a sponge into a washboard, moving a shirt up and down to wash it, the very last piece of clothing from the dirty clothes she was given...by the whole crew...She rolled her eyes at the bucket nearby and glanced behind her as Jim and Silver were peeling potatoes. Silver instructed that she always do the laundry wherever he could see her to make sure she didn't goof off. Jim made his potato look like a captain's hat, glancing up to Ari. Silver noticed her too as she was still washing. She glanced back at Jim again and smiled. He smiled at her too fondly and watched as she walked off to dry the clothes, basket in her hand. Silver noticed Jim's eyes were still on the girl...

I am a question to the world

Sarah and Jim looked out a window from their house.

Not an answer to be heard

She sadly looked at her son, hugging him.

Or a moment that's held in your arms

He still had that same look he had those years ago as he was tying knots with Silver.

And what do you think you'd ever say?

He glanced down the deck, seeing Ari and Amelia together to his surprise. Amelia tied down a knot, pulling down the rope to fasten it. Ari did the exact same technique, the girl grinning up at Amelia.

I won't listen anyway

Silver looked angry as he tried to teach Jim how to tie the knot and to get him to focus.

You don't know me

He tied it off, not noticing that Jim already left.

And I'll never be what you want me to be

He looked in surprise to see the knot perfectly tied. Looking further, he saw Jim walking away towards Ari. Her face lit up as she saw him and she ran over, pulling the boy over excitedly to show him her knots.

Silver looked between Jim's rope and his own, impressed. Ari held up her rope and Jim grinned a little.

And what do you think you'd understand?

Jim started scrubbing the main deck with a sponge, Silver standing over him. Ari walked by with a bunch of vegetables that she was required to wash before dinner, but she had to get them from a storage room from the other side of the ship first. Therefore, she was making her way back to the kitchen. She looked up at Jim, laughing a bit. He smirked and scooped up some water, flicking it onto her face. She giggled as she turned away, kicking some onto his cheek.

I'm a boy, no, I'm a man

Silver stood between them, him and Jim having a small face-off. Ari fell silent as she stared them, a bit concerned at their stances.

You can take me and throw me away

Silver gave Jim a bucket of soap, pointing to the deck. Jim threw it onto the deck and went back to cleaning. Silver pushed Ari away so she could go back to work and she glanced over her shoulder as she left, her eyes sad. It reminded her of a certain time in Jim's life...

And how can you learn what's never shown

Jim was sitting in the middle of the living room of his house, finishing up a build of a boat. Ari was painting the flag next to him, a red bow in her hair. She was also wearing a yellow dress with a red smock over her. Once again, her father was at work at the spaceport and too busy to look after her, so she was at the Hawkins house once more. Ari held up the flag proudly and planted it at the top of the ship. It read 'J + A'.

Yeah, you stand here on your own

Just then, Jim's father entered, and the boy stood up to show him his work. The man just patted his head without even looking at it.

They don't know me

Ari stood up in shock, standing next to Jim as they watched him leave.

Cause I'm not here

Jim slid to the ground sadly, Ari sitting down next to the boy and hugging him in comfort.

And I want a moment to be real

Jim was on the ship's bow, crouching with Ari next to him. Both of them looked up to the stars.

Wanna touch things I don't feel

Jim was watching Silver tell a story to everyone from a staircase, holding a steaming mug. Ari stepped down after Amelia escorted her, both of them having just finished Ari overlooking the ship's cargo for Mr. Arrow. Normally, that wasn't part of her job, but Amelia felt like she could do it that time around.

Want to hold on and feel I belong

Jim smiled as Silver started telling a story about a dragon. Ari took a seat next to him, hugging her legs as she sat down with a smile of her own.

And how can the world want me to change?

Jim was scrubbing a dish, laughing at Ari to his right as she was dancing and wiping off the wet dishes to dry. This was so she could make it more fun for herself instead of focusing on the fact that she was doing dishes. He shook his head as she swayed her hips back and forth while drying, humming in amusement at him. They both realized they were finished right then and there, the two smiling in relief. Those smiles dropped as they saw Silver approaching with more dishes and pots. He threw them down in front of the duo.

They're the ones that stay the same

They stared after him in disbelief, Jim huffing angrily and grabbing a large dirty pot.

They don't know me

He aggressively scrubbed as Ari hung her head backwards with a groan. Nevertheless, she reached forward and grabbed a dry rag.

But I'm still here

After getting the second round of dishes done, they had fallen asleep out of exhaustion. Well, not together, Ari actually fell asleep—literally. She conked out a while ago and Jim caught her, allowing her whole body to lean on him. And while he was getting the last one done, he soon fell asleep—after they got into a comfortable position of course. Her cheek was against his shoulder, eyes closed as his face was very close to hers. Her entire body was curled up into him. If she was awake, she could feel his breath.

And you see the things they never see

Silver stumbled upon them with Morph, looking up ahead to see that every single dish had been scrubbed and dried. He smiled and rubbed the back of his neck, looking down at the duo.

All you wanted I could be

He draped his jacket over the duo and Jim peeked an eye open.

Now you know me

Ari still had her eyes closed as Jim glanced at the staircase.

And I'm not afraid

He saw Silver walking up the stairs, Ari's chest heaving up and down slowly. Jim gave a small smile, looking down at Ari. He gently placed his hand on her head, hugging her gently as he went back to sleep.

And I want to tell you who I am

Jim and Silver were moving a boat together as Silver was taking a trip. Jim smiled up at him. A few seconds later, Ari stepped in, as she had just finished reminiscing Amelia's adventures with the Captain.

Can you help me be a man?

Ari came in and leaped over the gap, Jim reaching out his hands to catch her. She smiled and he helped her stand. Jim tied off the ship with her help, the two watching Silver.

They can't break me

He saluted as his ship was lowered down.

As long as I know who I am!

Jim frowned as he watched him leave.

They can't tell me who to be

Jim woke up as a door slammed loudly. He sat up immediately, looking out the window. He saw his father leaving for his ship. He then raced down the stairs from his room.

Cause I'm not what they see

He saw his mother crying at the dinner table, and then stepped outside to see the ship leaving.

Yeah the world is still sleeping while I keep on dreaming for me

He raced down the steps, stumbling as he tried to reach the deck.

And their words are just whispers and lies that I'll never believe

He reached the ship too late as his father had already boarded. He reached out to the ship as his father left, never to come back...

Ari ran down the deck as Jim kneeled, starting to cry. She reached him and looked out to the sea, her mouth opening as she realized that it was Mr. Hawkins that had just left. Jim turned around and leapt forward, hugging the girl tightly while crying. She hugged him back, frowning as she looked up to the ship. She then hugged Jim close, closing her eyes. She knew how it felt to lose a parent...even if Mr. Hawkins had only just straight up and left, but it was still a great pain that Jim would have to deal with now...

And I want a moment to be real

Silver returned to the two and gestured for them to come along. Jim grinned and took Ari's hand. They both jumped and landed safely. Ari sat across from them while Silver was trying to teach Jim how to drive it.

Wanna touch things I don't feel

Jim glanced up at Ari with a knowing smirk, which she returned. Of course they were gonna mess with him.

Wanna hold on, and feel I belong

Jim ignored Silver's instructions and sped up the ship. "Whoa!" Silver called out as Ari hung on, laughing at his expression.

How can they say I'll never change?

They followed the path of a star, Ari crawling to the bow of the ship, stumbling.

They're the ones that stay the same!

Ari reached out and touched the sky, beaming happily. This sight right here...it was exactly why she wanted to become an adventurer. To see the world, and a phenomenon like this possibly every night...

I'm the one now

Cause I'm still here

Jim did flips and tricks with the ship. Silver held onto his hat while Jim looked up at Ari, the girl having her arms out like a bird as the wind blew into her hair. She looked absolutely beautiful...

I'm the one son still here

Jim then flew the ship out of the star's path.

I'm still here

They looked at each other happily. Ari sat down, dusting herself off and she looked up ahead with a small grin.
