Angel: Oh, oh yay, we get to my least favorite thing about the movie, and it's the only thing wrong with it. We get to meet BEN. Are you excited? I'm excited, kill me *blank look* I still love this movie, but I just can't with the robot.

The trio walked down the path together, Ari pushing past several bushes out of the way. Jim stared at her, thinking that she looked really beautiful. With the whole...chaos that happened back at the ship, he didn't have the chance to actually confess to her, and he definitely didn't want to waste any time not making it clear to her.

"Hey, um, Ari..." Jim rubbed his neck as she dusted herself off.

"Hm?" She looked up and he slowly leaned in, kissing her. The girl flinched but then closed her eyes, kissing him back. He pulled away a few seconds later, feeling a bit awkward.

"T-That's just for...you know...so that you know that I..." He stammered and her eyes shined a little as she registered what he was trying to say. "I just really, um...I..."

"I do too!" She said quickly and he looked at her with wide eyes. The girl cleared her throat, patting her pants a bit nervously. "Um, well, that is...w-well, you see, when I hadn't talked to you in so long, it wasn't because of anything you did. It's just that I...I realized...that, well, you know..." She rubbed her neck, looking anywhere but him. He smiled softly at her and she looked towards him, smiling as well. He hugged her close, resting his face on her shoulder. She wrapped her arms around his neck.

"We'll split up. If I scream...get far away from here as possible."

"You know I'm not gonna do that," She smirked as she pulled away, looking into his eyes.

"I knew you wouldn't," He kissed her forehead and they walked off in opposite directions.

Jim slid down a tree root, sliding forward to the bottom. Morph flew over as he jumped onto the ground, scoping the area. He stepped forward, glancing around at the trees. Neither him or Morph noticed a telescope watching them from the bushes. Jim hopped over another root, walking forward. The two heard a mechanical sound and turned around to see rattling bushes.

"Shh. Shh," Jim warned Morph to be quiet, taking out his gun. He powered it up, slowly going towards the bush. He peeked inside and suddenly a robot popped right in front of him, screaming.

"Aah!"

"Aah!" The robot tackled Jim onto the ground.

"Oh, this is fantastic! A carbon-based life form come to rescue me at last!" Jim slowly stood up, but was hugged by the copper-colored robot. "I just wanna hug you and squeeze ya and hold you close to me."

"Jim!" Ari flipped out of nowhere, landing between the two. She stood up and adjusted her messy hair. "Are you okay? I heard screaming."

"Oh! Who's the lovely and spry lady? Is she your girlfriend? Do I see a couple before my eyes?!"

"C-Couple?" Jim asked nervously. He did just confess to her not too long ago…not to mention that there was still her dream of being an adventurer that he had to worry about later. He definitely didn't want to hold her back from doing that, and if she stayed, that wouldn't be the ideal life that her parents would want.

"Girlfriend?" Ari placed a hand on her cheek, thinking blissfully. Then she blinked as she backtracked. "Wait, did he just call me spry?"

"W-we're...never mind on what we are!" Jim stammered, waving his hands. They had a task at hand.

"Group hug!" The robot picked them up off the ground in a hug, Ari yelping in alarm.

"All right. Okay," Jim attempted to push him off, but he just continued hugging them. "Would you just let go of us?!"

"We have a thing back from home we like to call 'personal space'," Ari gave an annoyed look.

"Oh, sorry, sorry, sorry," He scrambled away from them. Ari dusted herself off, glancing towards him.

"I'm guessing he found you?" She raised a brow and he nodded reluctantly.

"I-It's just I've been marooned for so long," The robot wrapped an arm around the two. "I mean, solitude's fun, don't get me wrong. For heaven's sake, after a hundred years, you go a little nuts!" He started to spazz out, laughing crazily. Ari yelped and fell onto the ground, alarmed by his sudden reaction. Jim glared at him and he realized he was touching them again. "I'm sorry." Jim went over and grabbed Ari's hands, helping her up. She adjusted her hair again, a weary look on her face. "Am I...?" He held out his hand to them. "I am, um..." He couldn't find his words all of a sudden for some reason. "My name is, uh..."

The two stood next to each other, Morph on Jim's shoulder. He turned into a smaller version of the robot, and a cuckoo bird sprung from the top of the head. Jim smiled in amusement before shutting the head.

"B.E.N.! Of course, I'm B.E.N. Bioelectronic Navigator," He clicked his compass, but it fell out. "Oops," He put it back into place, laughing nervously. "Didn't mean to seem indecent to the lady!" Ari just rolled her eyes. "And you are?"

Jim bent down to pick up his dropped gun. "Jim."

"Arianna," Ari stated to him.

B.E.N. grabbed their hands and shook them vigorously. "Oh, what a pleasure to meet you, Jimmy and Ari!"

Jim gently moved his hand off. "It's Jim."

"Arianna. I only let people I'm close to call me Ari," Ari corrected him.

"Anyway," Ben leaned on Jim's back.

"Look, we're kind of in a hurry, okay?" Jim pushed him off, putting his gun away. He grabbed Ari's hand and pulled her forward. "We gotta find a place to hide, and there's pirates chasing us."

"Yeah, so we're just gonna go about our business that you shouldn't be involved in," Ari jerked a thumb behind her. Ben leapt in front of them.

"Pirates! Don't get me started on pirates! I don't like them," The two walked past him. "I remember Captain Flint," That made them stop in their tracks as they glanced to each other in surprise. "This guy had such a temper."

"Wait, wait, wait. You knew Captain Flint?" Jim walked back to him in disbelief.

"The Captain Flint?" Ari questioned carefully, making sure she wasn't dreaming.

"I think he suffered from mood swings, personally," Ben sat on a rock, leaning against a rock. Both of them looked exasperated at that point. "I'm not a therapist, and anyway, but I—You let me know when I'm rambling."

"Too late," Ari smiled weakly.

"But that means—but wait. But then you gotta know about the treasure?" Jim grinned at Ben.

"Treasure?" Ben questioned, not looking confident about that question.

"Yeah, Flint's trove? You know, loot of a thousand worlds," Jim explained, Morph turning into a treasure chest with gold in it.

"It's been talked about for years? And he wouldn't keep something like that discreet from you?" Ari asked further.

"It's, well...i-I-I-it's all a little...little-little—fuzzy," Ben stood up and then held out his hands. "Wait. I...I r-r-remember. I do. I—Treasure!" His eyes turned into chests. "Lots of treasure buried in the centroid—centroid—centroid of the mechanism." Jim and Ari looked understandably freaked out. "And there was this big door opening and closing, and opening and closing...and Captain Flint wanted to make sure nobody could ever get to his treasure...so I helped him." The back of his head started sparking and he started malfunctioning. "Aah! Data inaccessible! Reboot!"

"Ben?" Ari and Jim tried to get his attention, but he kept screaming. "Ben?"

"Reboot!"

"Ben!" Jim slapped him across the face.

"Aah!" That got him to pause and he turned back to them.

"Sorry. It was the only way to stop doing...whatever that was," Ari stated to the robot.

"...And you are?" The robot questioned curiously.

"Wait, wait, wait!" Jim waved his hands. "What about the treasure?!"

"I wanna say Larry. And...you're Ari," Ben replied and Ari threw up her hands in frustration.

"That's not the point!"

"The-the centroid of the mechanism, or-" Jim stammered to the robot.

"I'm sorry. My memory isn't what it used to be," He stammered, Jim waving his hands in frustration. "I've lost my mind. I've lost my mind!" Ari raised a brow, baffled by his statement as she glanced at Jim. "You haven't found it, have you?" Ben yanked Jim to a tree, patting him down. "My missing piece? My primary memory circuit?" He pointed to the back of his head, where there was a piece of his head missing from him with the wires sticking out. He then patted Ari's back, and she pushed him off.

"Ben!" She yelled in annoyance. "We don't have it."

"Look, Ben, we...really need to find a place to hide, okay?" Jim emphasized and he took Ari's hand again. "So we're just gonna be, you know, moving on."

"Yeah, we really gotta find a place where Amelia can recover," Ari murmured in concern for her.

Ben looked saddened as he watched them leave, since he was very lonely. "Oh. Uh...so, well, then, I guess this is goodbye, huh? I-I'm sorry that I'm so dysfunctional," Ben slumped onto the ground, the two stopping in their tracks. The three glanced back at him. "So, uh...go ahead and, uh...I do understand. I do. Bye bye."

The three glanced at each other, Morph whining. Ari sighed as she crossed her arms. "Only because he's been alone for so long..."

"He's gotta stop the hugging, though," Jim pointed out to her, earning a brief kiss on the lips.

"Relax. We just gotta help him have a limit," She shrugged and he smirked at her. He then sighed in defeat at agreeing to this.

"Look, if you're gonna come along...you're gonna have to stop talking," Jim warned the robot.

Ben spun around in joy. "Huzzah! Ha, ha, ha! Oh, this is fantastic!" He ran over and leaped into Jim's arms. "Me and my best buddies out lookin' for a-" He paused as he saw Jim glaring at him warningly. He cleared his throat. "Being quiet," He whispered, locking his mouth and hugging Jim's face.

"And you have to stop touching us," Jim added in. "Only Ari's allowed to do that."

"Jim!" Ari whispered in embarrassment, slapping his arm. "Don't give him more fuel about that..."

"Touching and talking," Ben jumped out of Jim's arms. "That's my two big no-nos."

"Mm," The brunette glanced away, unsure if he'd be able to keep those promises.

"Okay. Now, I think that we should-"

"Say, listen," Ben grabbed their arms, pulling them back. Ari gave him a warning look. Already he was touching them again... "Before we go out on our big search, um...would you mind if we made a quick pit stop at my place?" He went over to some bushes and pushed one out of the way to reveal a large structure sitting on a hill. He chuckled sheepishly at the duo. "Kind of urgent."

"Ben...I think you just solved our problem," Jim smiled happily as he and Ari glanced at each other in relief.

"We'll definitely be able to get them off our back there! Let's hurry and get Amelia and Delbert. I don't wanna keep her waiting any longer than I have to," Ari started to trek back to where the duo were.

"There's more of you?! Oh, happy day!" Ben hugged Ari's back, earning a small groan from the girl.

"Ben? Touching me," She warned him and he jumped off her, seeing the annoyed look from Jim.

"Sorry, sorry."

"...You really care about the Captain, huh?" Jim smiled softly at the girl.

"I know she wasn't approachable at first, but...yeah," She looked down at her uniform with a grin. "She really helped me grow back on the ship. So I wanna repay that by making sure she recovers...oh..." She suddenly frowned and came to a stop. Jim turned to her, confused. "I...I'm not sure if I should be talking about this since Silver..." Ari didn't bother finishing her sentence. Jim flinched, but put his hand on her shoulder, causing her to look up.

"It's okay..." He smiled weakly at her. "I'll deal with it."

"Jim...you know you can talk to me about it," She tried to assure him. "You don't have to shoulder it alone. Silver hurt me too. I mean, he's the reason my father-"

"Don't worry about it," He kissed her cheek. "I'm fine," He walked ahead of them and Ari sighed in defeat, following him. Ben ran after them, followed by Morph.
