Turns out the old dock wasn't ready for the half tonne Jaune and Ren weighed combined. Sure, they knew they were very big, and sure, they knew the old dock had seen better days. They thought it could handle the two of them. They thought all docks creaked when you walked on them.
However, when their wide, blubbery frames waddled down the dock, preparing for the mother-of-all-cannonballs, they were caught by surprise. The weak, rotted wood collapsed under their immense weight, sending them tumbling into the lake, both belly flopping hard. Lucky for them, they still made quite a splash.
