Jim crawled back into the trapdoor that led into Ben's home, helping up Ari. She bent down and pulled up Ben. Jim then took out the map and jumped out. Ari followed and they ran over to the duo. "Doc! Doc, wake up! We got the map."
"Now we just have to check over Amelia and get back to the ship!" Ari smiled happily. She was so relieved to finally be getting out of this since Amelia was still injured. A cyborg hand emerged, grabbing the map. She gasped sharply as they were standing face to face with Silver.
"Fine work, Jimbo and lass. Fine work indeed."
They heard muffled yelling, whipping around to Delbert and Amelia, who both tied up and gagged, held by Silver's crew. Amelia was struggling while Delbert had a dagger pointed at his throat.
"Let them go!" Ari shouted at Silver. Jim inhaled sharply as he turned to see the rest of them approaching.
"Thanks for showing us the way, children!" One of them sneered and Jim took hold of Ari's hand. He got grabbed by two pirates, causing him to release the girl. Ari's arm got grabbed by another and she struggled in his grip. Morph looked between her and Jim, growling and biting an alien's tail.
"Aah!" The alien smacked down his tail, hitting Morph in the process. He whimpered and flew into Jim's pocket. Ari managed to elbow the alien holding her in the gut, spinning around and kicking him onto the grass. However, she felt something cold press against her back before she could help Jim and she paled, holding up her hands.
"What's this sorry sack of metal?" Another one grabbed Ben.
"Not the face!" He called out, inching away.
Silver grabbed Ari's arm, wringing it around her back. He kept the laser gun pointed at her back as he stepped forward. "You're just like me, Jimbo," He tightened his grip on the girl and she grunted, gritting her teeth. "Ya hates to lose."
Jim growled a bit as he looked at Ari. Silver chuckled and threw the girl into a pirate, who put her into a hold. He attempted to open the map, but since he didn't know how it worked, he failed to. He tried several things from his robot arm. "What the devil's the-" He looked up at the two, who were glancing at each other with knowing looks. Jim closes his eyes and shook his head. "Open it," He held out the map to Jim.
The pirates released him and he took the sphere, glaring up at Silver. Silver narrowed his eyes at him as Jim refused to move his hands.
Silver then turned to Ari, who flinched as she didn't like his look that was focused solely on her. The pirate holding her stepped away, and she glanced around in a panic. He made his arm into a gun and then fired over her head. She screamed and ducked her head, shaking in fear. "I'd get busy, or..." Silver lunged forward and grabbed her arm, bringing her back in front of Jim. "I won't miss next time," He growled, repointing the gun at her temple. Jim glanced to Amelia and Delbert, both of them shaking their heads yes. He then turned to Ari, who was panting in fear from the gun shot and shaking her head no rapidly. His eyes widened as Silver put his finger on the trigger, threatening to pull it.
Ari squeezed her eyes shut, in fear of her life. Jim glared at Silver and pressed the pattern on the sphere, twisting it. The green light flew from it and they murmured in awe as they saw it.
"Now let my Ari go," Jim demanded to him with a glare. Silver threw Ari into Jim, who hugged her in relief. She looked up at him as he held her cheek, moving his thumb against it gently. She pressed her forehead to his, closing her eyes. The green light only formed into Treasure Planet since that was where they were currently.
"Oh, the powers that be...Would you look?" Silver mumbled to himself, his robotic eye shining. The image of the planet then changed into a beam as it flew outside Ben's house. He looked outside and let out a laugh. He then glanced to the two teenagers. "Tie 'em up and leave them with the others till we-" The beam was then cut off. "What?" He turned to Jim, who had closed the map.
"You want the map, you're taking us, too," Jim spoke up, Silver grunted in annoyance, his eye shining.
"Hmm," He then chuckled, the eye turning yellow. "We'll take 'em all."
They used the boat to follow the green light, and it flashed yellow as they got closer. Amelia and Delbert were tied back to back, while Jim was blocked by Silver. His robot arm was grasping Ari's right arm, to ensure that Jim didn't do anything to stop them. Ari glared up at Silver, angry that he had resorted to using her as an incentive to get Jim to do what he wanted.
They eventually stopped as they encountered several branches and bushes that the boat couldn't get through. Silver jumped down from the ship, still grasping Ari's arm. Jim and the girl glanced up at Amelia and Delbert in concern before Jim got a good look at Ari. She was still looking back before Silver made her face forward. She looked saddened at the situation, as well as worried for Amelia...He could tell that she really wanted to go to Amelia. Not only to check on her, but to get some motherly comfort as well.
Delbert glanced back at Amelia, who stared at Ari's back forlornly. The entire trip, their bond had grown, to the point where Amelia would be happy to see Ari as her daughter. So watching the girl being dragged off into who knows what was very worrying of her.
"Can I at least check up on Amelia? She suffered an injury earlier thanks to you, and it's not healed yet," Ari stated with lingering anger, glancing up at Silver.
"You just keep walking, lass," Silver told her, thinking that it would be a trick if he let her go to Amelia. He kept his grip tight on her arm, ushering her forward. She looked down towards the ground, upset at his answer. She had no idea what was going to happen to her or the others once they found the treasure, and it scared her...not only that, but Silver could hurt her at any time.
Morph chattered from Jim's pocket, fearful for Ari's life and the situation. "It's okay, Morph," Jim gently patted him on the head. "It's okay. Ari will be fine. Silver won't actually do anything to her." He knew this because if Silver actually wanted to kill her, he would've done it already. He shot at her head when he easily could've shot at her, after all.
Ben stumbled from behind him as they followed the light. "Jimmy, I-I don't know about you, but I'm starting to see my life pass in front of my eyes," He stammered nervously to the boy. "At least, I think it's my life." He held his head. "Was I ever dancing with an android named Lupe?!"
"Ben, shh," Jim glanced back at Silver and Ari and then back to Ben. "This isn't over yet."
Silver beamed up at the light, the flashing increasing. "We're getting close, lads!" His hand turned into a sword and Ari sweated nervously, as he was still holding her arm. "I smell treasure a-waitin'." The crew cheered as he laughed and released Ari in favor of grabbing Jim by the front of his shirt. Then he grabbed Ari by the sleeve within the same arm, dragging them both. They tried digging their feet into the ground, failing. Silver sliced at the bamboo rapidly, and the cheers stopped, because all they saw was the end of the cliff, and that was where the light stopped as well. "Where is it?"
"I see nothing! One great, big stinking hunk of nothing!" The six-eyed alien exclaimed. The beam went into the map and it closed.
"What's going on, Jimbo?" Silver demanded, adjusting his hat.
"I don't know," Jim was putting in the correct pattern, and he was twisting it open, but nothing happened. "I can't get it open."
"We should've never followed those kids!" One of them yelled, kicking Jim onto the ground.
"Hey!"
She then did the same with Ari and she fell face-first into the ground next to him. "I'd suggest you get that gizmo going again, and fast!" Silver demanded as Ari slowly looked up, seeing something.
"Jim," She whispered, jerking her head to the strange carved out sphere in the grass. The patterns on it matched the map. Jim moved away some of the grass to see more of it.
"Let's rip their gizzards right out, right now!"
Ari whipped around to the crew, Silver looking between them and his pirates. "Throw them off the cliff!"
Ben wanted to do something, but even if he could, they'd probably stop him. Jim then slammed the map in the sphere, a bright green light pulsating from the planet. The crew immediately stopped growing angry. A bright green sphere rose from the ground where the sphere was, revealing another map in place. Jim and Ari stood up in unison, and he reached out to it. Rays of light came their way from the planet, and they rose into the sky. A large triangle-like portal opened up in front of them, revealing a galaxy.
"Oh, have mercy," Silver murmured in awe of it. Ari looked enchanted by the sight, despite their situation.
Jim recognized the place and it confused him a bit, to say the least. "The Lagoon Nebula?"
"But that's...halfway across the galaxy," Silver rubbed his chin. Ari and Jim suddenly remembered what Ben had told them when they met him.
"A big door..." Jim touched the map in front of him.
"Opening and closing..." Ari eyed it and then he pressed another planet on it. The portal closed and then reopened to reveal a wasteland.
"Let's see...Kinapis," Jim leaned forward and smiled when he saw what he was looking for. "Montressor spaceport," He tapped it and the spaceport appeared. "So that's how Flint did it...He used this portal to roam the universe, stealing treasure."
"That's how he got around so quickly and without a trace of him...!" Ari murmured in realization.
"But where'd he stash it all?!" Silver shoved away the two. He started pressing random planets, going through them and not finding what he wanted. "Where's that blasted treasure?!"
"Treasure!" Ben held his head, Ari and Jim glaring at the former cook. "Treasure!" They glanced towards Ben. "It's buried in the-"
"Buried in the centroid of the mechanism," Jim finished, rubbing his chin.
"Wait a minute..." Ari murmured to him since Ben had only reacted like this just now. "The word centroid means the geometric center of a figure...like a circle or a square or a triangle."
"So what if...the whole planet is the mechanism, and the treasure is buried in the center of this planet?" He finished for her with a grin, eyes wide. As soon as he finished that statement, the crew frantically started digging into the planet with all that they had. But they only got metal, so much so that tools shook once they touched it.
"And how in blue blazes are we supposed to get there?" Silver demanded, still pressing at planets. The two saw something in the center of the map, pushing past him. He looked down at the duo.
"Well, since it is on the map..." She started off.
"Just...open the right door," Jim pressed Treasure Planet from the map that was in the center of it. The portal opened and closed again, revealing the inside of the planet.
Jim took hold of Ari's hand, and they slowly stepped forward. Their hands phased through and they walked in, looking at themselves. Silver grasped their shoulders, following after them. However, he stepped over a red light, triggering a silent alarm.
"Wait for me, wait for me!" The female ran after them as they stepped in.
