Jenny's eyes widened in surprise. "What? You want all my powers as a genie? Everything that comes with it? Even though it means..."

"Of course I do!" growled Dawson. "Now do as I command!"

A small smile crossed Jenny's lips. "Very well. If that is what you wish."

As Jenny snapped her fingers, there came a dazzling blaze of light, blinding everyone for a moment. When it cleared, they could all see Dash Dawson floating in the air, his whole body glowing with pure energy.

"Yes!" he cried in triumph. "I can feel the power inside me! I shall dominate all mankind! I shall become the most powerful being on Earth! I shall..."

His words trailed off as he noticed Jenny regarding him with a smile on her face.

"What is it? What are you smiling about?" he demanded.

Jenny's grin widened as though butter wouldn't melt in her mouth. "Oh nothing. It's just that I assume you know that by taking a genie's powers, you have to take their place in the lamp too, don't you?"

Dawson's jaw dropped in shock and dismay. "What?! You mean... Ah nuts!"

And with that, Dawson's whole body turned into smoke, which then shot straight into the nozzle of the lamp he had been holding. As he vanished from sight, the lamp dropped onto the carpeted floor, before the astonished eyes of everyone-else in the room.

"Mon Dieu!" spluttered Caron, as he scooped up the lamp from the floor. "Dash was always too impulsive."

"Wait, you mean he's trapped in there?" asked Alex.

Jenny nodded somewhat regretfully. "Yes, now he shall have to spend the rest of eternity in servitude, just as I have had to. I'm not wholly proud of allowing him to do this to himself, even though he did threaten Trent's life."

Caron cleared his throat, as he pulled a gun on Jenny. "Well, you shall just have to swap places with him again, won't you? Call him out of that lamp, and wish yourself back in his place."

"It doesn't work like that," insisted Jenny. "Once a new genie is in the lamp, he or she must remain there for at least a hundred years, before they can be summoned for the first time!"

"Then," said Caron slowly, "I am terribly sorry to say that I have to cut short your newfound mortality. I simply cannot risk you giving me away to the authorities. Goodbye."

But while everyone had been talking, Trent had slowly come to and the first thing he noticed was Caron pointing a gun at Jenny. As Caron prepared to pull the trigger, Trent launched himself forward at the crook, knocking him to the floor and sending the gun flying out of Caron's grasp and across the room. With a furious yell, Caron delivered a sucker punch to Trent's jaw, knocking him out again. But as Caron scrambled to his feet and tried to search for his weapon, the main door burst open, and Sam, Clover and Daphne leapt into the room.

"Hold it right there, buster!" yelled Sam as she and Clover tackled the struggling Caron to the floor. With a furious roar, Caron pushed the girls off him and tried to deliver a punch, only for Sam to duck and deliver a karate kick, sending him crashing into a table, which split in two under his weight.

Seeing his employer fighting against the two superspies, Bellet snatched up his tranquilliser gun and trained it on Sam and Clover, but Daphne lashed out with karate kick of her own, which caught him in the torso. As Bellet sagged in pain, he lost his aim as the gun went off, causing the knockout dart to impact with Caron's back. Daphne then delivered a punch that sent Bellet into dreamland, while Sam and Clover grabbed hold of Caron, who was rapidly succumbing to the effects of the tranquilliser dart.

"Ohhh, this is not the way to lose a fight... This is not dignified..." Caron managed to say, before he collapsed to the floor, completely out for the count.

'Phew, you guys took your time getting here," said Alex in relief as Sam untied her. "I was afraid Dawson had managed to bump you off!"

"No, Daphne and I managed to escape his little trap. Sorry it took so long to get here, but we had some trouble fighting past Dawson's buddies on the floor below," explained Sam, as she helped Alex to her feet, while Clover and Daphne helped Jenny lay the unconscious Trent on top of a sofa.

"Speaking of Dawson, where has he disappeared to?" asked Clover.

"He kinda got himself stuck in the lamp," said Alex, pointing to the inert container on the floor, before she quickly explained what had happened.

'It was kinda my fault for giving him the idea," finished Alex sheepishly. "I tried to warn him, but he just wouldn't listen."

"Talk about poetic justice," said Daphne. "He wanted that lamp so badly, now he can spend all his time with it. Or rather inside it."

"I'll just call Jerry to send a clean-up team to cart these remaining goons to the containment facility," said Sam as she got out her compowder. "And while we're about it, I'll ask Jerry to get Trent to a hospital."

Clover turned and grinned at Jenny, who was nursing the sleeping Trent. "Well Jenny, you're free of the lamp now. You can go out and start anew."

"Thank you," smiled Jenny gratefully. "But I think my place right now, is with Trent here."

It took a couple of days to finish clearing up the loose ends for this mission, but soon things got relatively back to normal. Trent was soon given a clean bill of health and released from the hospital, much to the delight of Jenny, who had been given a new legal identity as a student of Mali-U, courtesy of Jerry. In gratitude for the girls freeing her and saving Trent, the former-genie agreed to a partial mind-wipe, so she would not remember that Sam, Clover, Alex and Daphne were WOOHP agents. Meanwhile, the lamp containing Dash Dawson was put into secure storage at the containment facility, with WOOHP paying full compensation to Frank Freeman, who was still quite baffled as to why the lamp caused so much fuss in the first place.

As for the spies, they were currently hanging out at the Mali-U cafe, where they finished recounting the events of the past few days to Dean, Blaine and Ray.

"Wow," said Ray at last. "That sounded like pretty intense stuff. I'm sure glad those creeps didn't hurt you, Alex, otherwise they'd have me to answer to!"

"Thanks, Ray," grinned Alex, "though it wasn't all that intense."

"I'm just glad everything worked out for the best," smiled Sam, who was holding hands with Dean. "Now Trent and Jenny have a chance for a fresh start."

"Speaking of those two lovebirds, here they come now," said Clover, pointing out Trent and Jenny, who were bringing a couple of trays of milkshakes to the spies' table. The happy couple were now dressed in the standard uniforms of the cafe staff, as Virgil had agreed to employ them, based on the hearty recommendation of Sam, Clover and Alex.

"Here you are, ladies and gents," said Trent cheerfully as he and Jenny handed out the milkshakes to the table's occupants. "Hope you enjoy your drinks."

"Thanks, Trent," said Daphne. "Say, do you want to sit down and join us when your shift's done?"

"Thanks, but Trent and I already have plans," said Jenny. "We're going to a... What was it called again? Cin-e-ma?"

"That's right, hon," said Trent, turning back to the others. "Jenny has thousands of years of development to catch up on and I'm gonna help her out. See ya!"

With a cheery wave, the couple went arm-in-arm back to their new duties in the cafe.

"Ah, how romantic," sighed Alex. "I guess it's a happy ending all around."

"Not quite for everyone," said Ray. "I've heard from the fellas in the dorm that Mandy's stuck in bed with a nasty cold. According to her, she got rained on her a little black cloud, even indoors. How crazy is that?"

"Not as crazy as you might think," said Sam, as she, Clover, Alex and Daphne exchanged an amused look and burst into helpless laughter.
